Came here on advice from eagle bay brewery because it was full. Beautiful beach views and location. The staff were dreary and seemed unhappy for some reason, there was really no atmosphere which made it awkward. Looking at the menu really upset me, firstly the food, this is a cafe, cheap decor, paper menu charging $30-&$45 for a meal. This would be acceptable if the food was amazing. It wasn't.
Next the drinks list, I was expecting a wide variety of wines and beers as this is not a winery or brewery. I was disappointed they only sold 3 wineries and 2 beers from the area. Light boags at $9.5 and a carona at $11.40. The wine list was just as dismal charging $10.50 for a glass of deep woods house wine that I can get for 10$ (bottle).
We got the tasting plate which had (are you ready?) chorizo, split pea dip and olives and wafer crackers. What even is that? Why the fuck would someone eat pea dip with fucking chorizo! Bless the venison chorizo was good though. Why the crackers? This obviously goes with bread. Seriously not an acceptable variable and for $19.00.
We got chips, all good there. But it's pretty hard to mess up chips
Next we had pumpkin & pine nut pizza. $22. It was average. Nothing wrong with it, but it was small and not worth $22.
Also the sides! A green leaf salad for $15? Kidding me?
Go for the beach but do not eat here. What a joke, the chef must be crazy or not a chef.
