I recently stayed for 3 nights at Bunkyard, and it was such a great experience! 🏙️ The hostel is right in the city center, so most places are just a short walk away 🚶‍♂️—super convenient for exploring. The staff was incredibly polite, friendly, and had a great sense of humor 😄, which made the atmosphere warm and welcoming. But the highlight? The rooftop! 🌅 The scenic views from up there were next level, and we ended up spending most of our time just chilling and soaking it all in.

My stay at Bunkyard Café & Hostel was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. The staff here truly go above and beyond — not just to meet expectations, but to exceed them. Whether it was helping with local recommendations, arranging transportation, or simply making sure I had everything I needed, their kindness and attention to detail made me feel completely at home. One of the best parts of my experience was meeting such wonderful roommates. The hostel attracts friendly, open-minded travelers from across the globe, and it felt more like a family than just a shared accommodation. Conversations flowed naturally, laughter was abundant, and I left with friendships I’ll cherish long after my trip. The crown jewel, however, is undoubtedly the rooftop café. I have visited several rooftop cafés in Udaipur, but I can confidently say this is the most peaceful, scenic, and soul-soothing spot in the entire city. The view is breathtaking — overlooking the serene waters of Lake Pichola and the majestic City Palace, with sunsets that feel almost unreal. The atmosphere is calm and unhurried, perfect for sipping coffee, reading a book, or simply losing yourself in the beauty of Udaipur’s skyline. The menu offers both comforting classics and local specialties, all served fresh and with love. The gentle background music, the breeze, and the soft lighting at night create an ambiance that is hard to match anywhere else. If you’re looking for a place that blends comfort, community, and a touch of magic, Bunkyard Café & Hostel is it. It’s more than just a stay — it’s an experience that feeds your soul, sparks connections, and leaves you with memories worth holding onto. I will absolutely return here whenever I’m back in Udaipur, and I recommend it wholeheartedly to any traveler seeking the best of what the city has to offer.

Best place to stay if you are looking for a private lake view room in udaipur this is one of our best stay in Rajasthan we had great food comfortable stay stunning views from roof top cafe had great time here at bunkyard udaipur. Had parking and we had great time here in this hostel...

The rooftop is incredible and the owner is super hospitable and is always availlable to help you out. The staff makes you feel like you are at home and the rooms are superclean. I’ve met many amazing people here and the vibe is really chill and social. Highly recommend!

When we first moved into our dorm it was just a room for us but while checking out, it felt like home to us. Nothing beats this place, whether it be the location, the amenities, the amazing staff (Shout out to Tarun and Francesco Bhai, the OGs) who are always there and more than happy to help you. Good place and one of the tallest buildings in Udaipur which means a great city view is guaranteed. Met lots of amazing travellers while staying at the hostel from different ethnicities which also contributes to the purpose of exploration. Ultimately, we checked in as guests but checked out as bros with the staff. Please do check out this place if you are planning to come to Udaipur for any of your purposes, green flag for all travellers who are looking for an affordable but quality accommodation with high quality dorms and rooms with hygienic washrooms and fully air conditioned staying options.

This hostel is a great place to stay in Udaipur with a great view of the stunning Pichola Lake. One of the tallest buildings in Udaipur so you get the unobstructed view of the place and an amazing sunrise and sunset. The rooms were tidy and clean. Although I recommend they should provide toiletries in the dorms as well which would make their services 10/10. The aesthetics of the Hostel are amazing. The staff was very friendly. I also had a chat with co manager Francesco who was very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay here. Played some Holi on the terrace while watching the sunset. The views are really mesmerizing. I would definitely recommend it for that.

It's a really good Hostel and the location is so near to Jagdish Temple, where you go for the Holi festival. Just walking distance. Hostel Rooftop viewing is fantastic 😍 you can see all of Udaipur City.
