We had the most incredible wedding weekend staying at The Bunn House! It was the perfect setting for our small destination wedding where only four of our guests were local. The house’s walkability and charm made it easy for our guests to explore and enjoy everything downtown Asheville has to offer! The ability to stay, get ready, and host both our ceremony and reception all in one stunning location made everything feel seamless. The gardens created the most romantic backdrop, and the house itself was absolutely breathtaking. We especially loved the steam showers, heated floors, fireplace patio, and breathtaking rooftop view. We received so many comments from guests saying it was one of the most beautiful and fun weddings they had ever attended. Ali and the entire team were a dream to work with. They were professional, kind, and truly invested in making everything perfect. We couldn’t imagine a better place to celebrate, and would choose The Bunn House a thousand times over!

We had our wedding here on October 14th and it was the perfect venue! The grounds are beautifully done and maintained and the large space allows for plenty of people and different areas for the ceremony and reception. An added perk is being able to stay on site and the rooms are so large and every amenity is provided. I can’t recommend the bunn house enough! We worked with Ali and she made the experience so smooth and was always willing to assist with anything we needed! I might be biased but I think this is the best wedding venue in asheville!

The Bunn House is one of our favorite places to stay. Excellent location, just a short walk from downtown Asheville. The rooms, decor and amenities are second to none. Owners and management are always ready to help. During the holiday weekend, we actually grabbed lunch and dinner to-go at different restaurants downtown, and enjoyed our meals by the outdoor chimney. Drank delicious local beers, while also enjoying a game of Cornhole in the lawn. Easy parking (no need to valet or pay parking fees downtown). It truly is top notch! Can’t wait to come back!

I had such a wonderful staycation at the Bunn House. The owners have thought of so many personal touches to make your experience here so comfortable! Highly recommended for the traveler who seeks solitude. The complimentary beer/wine/and snacks were a nice treat upon my arrival. I loved the L'Occitane bathroom amenities, and as someone who travels with my own sound machine, it was so nice to be provided one (it's built into the wall!) here. Beautiful gardens, outdoor patio with large fireplace, and rooftop terrace. I will definitely be back here for another staycation and will recommend this place to friends and family coming to town!

We celebrated our anniversary here, and staying here was the highlight of our trip. We initially found a bed and breakfast to book, but as we were checking out the map to walk into Asheville, we found this beautiful place. Let me explain why this place is so awesome, but beware-you are going to have to read a long list. Asheville is a beautiful place; however, it is also busy and bustling, and the fun continues late into the night. The Bunn House is a quiet oasis, after spending a fun day and evening exploring and eating. Guests lack for nothing, as the owners have thought of EVERYTHING to make the stay special. The beautifully-appointed rooms are luxurious and include high-end linens, white noise machines, heavenly beds, mini refrigerator/freezer, large (but not intrusive) flat screens, and even cushions for the outdoor chairs (they think of everything, including keeping them inside so they can always be enjoyed dry). The little kitchenette area in each room offers a daily supply of delicious organic granola, ice cream, water and soft drinks, beer, and white and red wine. They also offer snacks for you to grab downstairs, as you head out for a hike or day trip. The bathroom is also gorgeous, and the soft towels are so nice after a long steam shower. After a long day of hiking, working out, or walking around town, a steam shower and a soft robe (provided) made me feel like I was being so pampered. The grounds are also wonderful, with outdoor seating, peaceful grape vines and trees, and even an outdoor fire is provided, ready to be lit each night. We also used the rooftop terrace nightly, and we saw amazing views. In fact, we sent our picture to friends and family, and they immediately thought they recognized the view from the popular Grove Park Inn. If you enjoy a beautiful view, twinkling lights around you, complimentary wine, and a warm blanket (provided), you'll love this place. We did meet the owner and her daughter, and we also occasionally saw a staff member who provided daily room service. All of them were extremely gracious, and it is obvious that they love what they do. They gave us great dinner recommendations, like Limones, a fabulous local favorite. Their passion to provide guests a luxurious respite certainly shows in every way. Thank you so much! When we come back to Asheville, we know exactly where we will stay-no question! Photo is from the rooftop terrace.

My wife and I own Overjoyed Weddings and Events and we had a wedding at the Bunn House this past weekend. We worked with Ali the venue manager throughout the process of the wedding. She was a pleasure to work with, knowledgeable and professional making the process easy and simple on our end. The Bunn House estate a is very beautiful venue being up to date, clean and having open outdoor spaces. We would highly recommend the Bunn House to any couple searching for a beautiful and charming venue to tie the knot.

Amazing experience! They thought of everything. Free drinks and alcohol, great snacks, rooftop terrace, steam shower... we loved our stay and will definitely return.

My DJ and photo booth teams had the opportunity to work at a wedding at the Bunn house recently and they had nothing but great things to say about the venue and the management team. The grounds are stunning, centrally located in downtown, and the venue is so luxurious. If you are looking for a place to host a wedding or event, it doesn't get much better than this!

Yelp
What we liked! The property was beautiful and the historic preservation work on the 1905 Bunn house was awesome! They managed to keep the old school brick elegance, while throwing in a few modern amenities. The top observation deck presented a grand view of the city, mountains and surrounding properties. The in-room locally made goodies (craft beer, wine, snacks, coffee, ice cream) filled in between cravings, and it was nice to take a bevvy to the observation deck, or while strolling to the outside fire pit. The Nespresso machine and Aerolatté Milk Frother was a nice touch. And our favorite, the steam shower. What a nice luxury to have after a day of sightseeing, or simply to de-stress the body/mind. What we didn't like!! We booked the first floor suite A, which has an additional sitting room and kitchen appliances. Although we loved the space, the first floor was very noisy. The geo-thermal heating/cooling system actually vibrated the bed when it switched on (which was often), and the outside air condensers were loud. That, coupled with a very annoying white noise system above the bed, made for a very restless night of sleep. The speaker for the white noise was located above the bed, and while you could control the volume, you could not completely switch it off. The white noise sounded like forced air through a clogged air conditioner return, and not a soft ocean wave. And although the towel heater was a good idea, it was confusing to operate. Also, upon arrival, the room had an overbearing fragrance, and although it dissipated by the third day, it really distracted from a relaxing experience (especially coupled with the noise). The GM indicated they didn't use any cleaning fragrances, but all the guests I had enter the room commented on the odor. And finally, the property does not have any onsite manager (all issues are communicated thru text or calling), so any issues are not immediately addressed. For example, we couldn't light the fire pit since the fire starter was not working, and none of the guests had any matches or lighter. The in room safe was on the fritz (apparently low batteries), and the Bunn House directory suggested not to leave any valuables in the room, so I had to lug valuables around. Just be aware, all on-site satisfaction is remotely communicated, and may not be corrected immediately. However, the text response is very quick and prompt upon letting the GM know of any issues. Let me be clear. The Bunn House is a first rate property, unfortunately our visit was not as restful as we had hoped.

Yelp
A beautiful concept for a hotel. Imagine staying in a boutique hotel, small enough for only five rooms and with an exquisite level of taste. Now imagine that you will never see any service staff on site. No in-person check-in, no maid service that you are likely ever to see. That's the concept of Bunn House, and it's amazing. You're simply given entry codes in advance, and the last four digits of your mobile number are the key to your room. Once you're inside, I hope you will be as impressed as we were with the highly comfortable but highly distinguished way in which the hotel has been crafted. Exposed brick walls are complemented by Frette linens, a white noise dial, sauna shower, L'Occitane en Provence toiletries, and artisanal, local granola for your in-room breakfast. If you have a romantic getaway coming up, or simply want to splurge on yourself when visiting Asheville, look no further. Oh, and it's only a 5-minute Uber ride (or 20-minute walk) from the downtown restaurants & sights.

Yelp
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is like a bed and breakfast, but with very modern amenities. It was a beautiful historic building. They offer many complimentary local and gluten-free snacks and beverages that were a nice touch. There is a beautiful rooftop terrace, outdoor fire place, and garden. The bathroom was also stunning and has a lovely steam shower. The bed was also beautiful, comfortable, and had lovely linens! I would stay here again and again! We spoke with two employees as we were leaving who were lovely and very helpful.

Yelp
In a word: EXQUISITE! My husband and I come to Asheville frequently and always struggle to find the perfect place to stay. When I found this place online for our Christmas Eve getaway, I knew it was perfect. If for no other reason, it is walking distance to downtown. But there are so many great reasons to stay here: the in room amenities such as unlimited coffee and wine, snacks, high end toiletries, comfy king bed, balcony, steam shower, heated bathroom floors, built in sound machine - you name it, the owners have you covered. The property security was top notch. I liked that we didn't have to wait in line to check in as everything was electronic. The owner even started a fire for us one night during our stay. So romantic! I can't wait to come back to this extra special hotel. If I could give it 10 stars, I would.

Yelp
Not enough words to explain how pleased we were with our stay. The property is fantastic, the attention to details in the remodeling are great, the rooms are huge, and the modern touches are amazing. So so well thought out. Highly recommend this place. We left a shirt and they even mailed it to us, wow!

Yelp
We book into a highly rated hotel(H I) in downtown Ashville,NC that was to be the PERFECT place to stay for a well needed week off. What a disappointment! After a late check in greeted by a not very accommodating front desk person we got to a room that needed a complete update with art work that should have given us bad dreams! We woke and checked out and searched on line for a place to stay. I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful this hidden gem is. It's a Ying/Yang thing, we hope the word does/does not get out. It is a under the radar, "invisible service amid a backdrop of refined elegance and timeless design." A small boutique hotel, B&B like without the breakfast, located within walking distance of downtown Asheville. Green space, dozing on the green lawn in the sun, croquet, fire pit for late night romance, a view of the stars from Widow Walk and the best bed we ever slept in. YES, we just ordered and shipped one to our home! It's a spot that everyone should enjoy at least once. We sure will!

Yelp
We are actually on our way home from a long overdue weekend in Asheville without the kids. I can't even describe how great our stay was at the Bunn House. It was so incredibly comfortable and cozy. Everyone we met there was so accommodating and welcoming. Check in was easy and as soon as we got to our room, all sorts of delicious refreshments were waiting for us. We immediately grabbed a glass of wine and headed for the rooftop terrace to relax for a bit. The view of the grounds and skyline on their beautiful quiet street was just perfect. The bed was so cozy, that after being at the Biltmore all day, snuggling up in it was the best way to end it. You're so close to everything, it's amazing how quiet it is. And the house smells like lavender and lemons - Im officially obsessed! We just had the absolute best weekend! Thank you so much Bunn House for making our stay so enjoyable. We are already planning our trip back!
