Google
We loved this place. Honestly the best restaurant we have been during our whole journey in Ireland. The menu is simple but it does not need anything else to be perfect. The burgers were amazing. Simple burgers with traditional ingredients but with an amazing product quality. We also liked the sweet potatoes a lot. Per haps the chips were the “weakest “ dish we have ordered but anyways, they were great. Amazing value for the money as we paid less than 20€ pp. Last but not least, the service is AMAZING.

Negin Jamili

Google
Simple menu with just four burgers, but the one we had was really tasty. We asked for medium and it was cooked perfectly. Nothing fancy or unique. Just a good, flavorful burger at a fair price. Would come back.

Google
Burgers are simple and menu is super short but place is really nice. Ingredients are fresh and makes a simple, good combination. I recommend cheeseburger with all toppings. Sweet potato fries was good as well but I missed some nice sauce with it

Google
fantastic experience at this burger place. The food was delicious the burger was juicy, full of flavour, and cooked just right. The chips were perfectly crispy and well seasoned. Everything came out fresh and hot. What really made the visit special was the service from Rafaela. She was super friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. It’s not every day you get service with such care and kindness she truly made a difference. Great atmosphere, great food, and outstanding service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
Hands down the absolute best sweet potato fries I have ever had. I would return just for those. The concept of this restaurant is easy. Order a burger (cheese or not) (single or double) and then you have three fry options. Nothing fancy but it’s good. Like real good. I wouldn’t hesitate to tell anyone to go here. The burger wasn’t my favorite ever but none the least it was solid. Enjoy the fries! And get your own- too good to share! Great location too!

Google
I had an excellent experience thanks to the outstanding service provided by manager Rafaela. From the very beginning, she was incredibly attentive, professional, and helpful. She handled everything efficiently and with a warm, friendly attitude that truly made a difference. It’s rare to come across someone so dedicated to customer satisfaction. Well done to the team for having such a capable and committed professional. Highly recommended! Delicious HC fries.

Google
If u r looking for some healthy burger, you should come and enjoy ෆ⃛(ට◡ට⁎)ფ There is a friendly staff, she is very nice. And the cheese burger was so juicy and fresh vegetables. Also, my fav sweet potatos chips were chrispy and sweet I'll visit next time and try different menus :)

Google
The reason why Bunsen is my favourite place to go for a burger in Dublin, especially the one in Temple Bar, is because it’s a no nonsense burger and chips, everything you want from a burger is there, always fresh and cooked to perfection. Also their sweet potato fries are the best! We always have a lovely experience there. Great atmosphere (always great music on as well, which makes your experience even more enjoyable) Not to mention the excellent service, with great staff. Everyone is lovely, friendly and very attentive, especially Luisa, who often serves us. Reasonable price for Dublin standards. Would highly recommend it!

Yelp
Hands down best burger in dublin. The atmosphere is casual, the service is good, but the best part is the food, it's a super small menu (only burgers, fries and drinks). But the food is perfected, they use fresh high quality Irish beef, they grind it and cook it in-house. Absolutely my favorite, even better than most places in America. Bunsen is a burger shop that is a must visit every time I visit from the states. The prices increased with inflation, right now the single patty cheese burger is about €12? and freshly cut fries around €4. This is better eaten at the shop than take away or delivery cause the bread could get soggy, and fries stale. I definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
BEST BURGER. We stopped here on a whim, ready for lunch after one of the bus tours we went on during our trip. This area of Dublin is rich with food options and admittedly we were not familiar with many. Bunsen is a hit! A modest space where you might not have a ton of table space, I would definitely say the burger is worth it. The beef patties are made fresh daily and it shows. Along with shredded lettuce and chopped onion that feels closer to the familiarity of a fast food burger than one you may experience at a gourmet restaurant, it REALLY hits the spot so I mean no offense at all with this comparison! The staff was extremely friendly and we enjoyed the vibes. Definitely recommend if you're in the mood for a good burger.

Yelp
Excellent burger (and I'm an American). I had the double cheeseburger and my only regret (and not a big regret) was getting the double, as each patty was a real hamburger. The meat was very high quality, it was cooked as I ordered, more than enough cheese and just a ton of flavor. Probably the best burger I have had in Europe. Also had the sweet potato fries, they were fine but I won't remember them the way I will the burger.

Yelp
Burgers are delicious! I love the simplicity of the menu, the staff are friendly and helpful. Theres also a relaxed vibe at the restaurant, highly recommend!

Yelp
Perfect American burger joint...in Dublin! Rock music playing, cool, hip staff, clean restaurant, nice restrooms, and DELICIOUS perfectly cooked burgers. If you need a great burger whilst in Dublin, Bunsen is for you.

Yelp
The burgers were delicious and the service was the best! I love the manager she was so accommodating. The restroom and restaurant were very clean.
google avatar

Natalie J.

Yelp
This place has a really tasty burger. The service was efficient and the people were friendly. I got a cheeseburger with just pickles, ketchup, and mustard. You can add additional toppings like tomato, onion, lettuce or mayo if you choose. The sweet potato fries were just to my liking not too crispy. We went at about 1:30pm and got seated right away.
google avatar

Yelp
Found this great burger joint in Dublin while on vacation. The burger was delicious, the ratio of meat and cheese was great, and there was lots of both.
google avatar

Yelp
Bunsen is a great place to grab a burger on a day when you just need a burger. Ignore all the other fast food choices and just walk here!

Yelp
The very best fast food in Ireland. Everyone knows your boy loves his fast food so I had to see what we were working with out here. Up until then I was only seeing McDonald's or Burger King which by the way didn't seem much different from the states. But wheres like the *good* fast food. I love my In and Out Burger over in the Bay. Yea. Probably still not the most healthiest food but compared to the typical fast food chains, there definitely is an increase in the quality of ingredients. I think I really was trying to find my popular Cali equivalent Burger chain in Ireland. And then I found out about Bunsen... Good lord these burgers are good. The meat just tastes fresh. I would believe if they said they never freeze their meat. The meat was so juicy and it helped that the cheese just hugs the meat like a bff. It had the usual lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. You know it was what you would expect from a typical diner burger but just upscaled a bit. I was surprised that for how big the burger was, the buns held up really well! There wasn't too much I haven't seen already but I just appreciated that it was a classic done extremely well. Oh and if your a potato fiend then you'll be right at home. They have great fries. I personally liked the hand cut because they tasted more like fast food fries and had a little bit more of a crispier texture to them. Salted perfectly by the way. I mean if the American in you needs extra you can definitely add a little more but I didn't need it. Any burger fan around the world that goes to Ireland for a Holiday definitely needs to check this place out. I still crave that burger to this day...

Yelp
I really liked the food here, the taste as well as the appearance, the restaurant is very well-kept, you must try it! I recommend with pleasure!

Maya N.

Yelp
Quick service, kind waiters, and chill environment. It feels silly coming from America to get a burger, but it was very tasty & made for an easy lunch! 4 stars because it wasn't exceptionally special and "chips" are sold separately. Now off to nap!

Sarah S.

Yelp
Great burgers with gluten free options - simple menu with regular & sweet potato fries. Quick service & busy atmosphere.
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
Very good, I would maybe compare it to fiveguys? The staff was friendly and I enjoyed the pricing too

Jim B.

Yelp
The double cheeseburger at Bunsen is the best burger I have had in a long time. As a red-blooded American I eat a lot of burgers. I'm no Guy Fiere but I can tell when a burger patty has a good char on it. This place does it right. Simple perfection.

Juicy C.

Yelp
The best burger in Dublin I always order single patty medium with shoe string fries and a chocolate milkshake. It cant be beat

Alexandra D.

Yelp
Îs very good !!i like !!! I eat every Day there!! My vacantion îs beautiful because I eat special !!!

Yelp
Went to Bunsen for a quick takeaway bite after a long day of sight-seeing. It was well-cooked with some nice toppings. Taste was very good but not the best burger I've ever had. Staff were very friendly. Atmosphere felt a bit busy but overall very nice.
google avatar

Yelp
Good burger and service. On the save list! Might even try the double burger next time!

Joyce M.

Yelp
Amazing burger n fries! Yum yum! Meat was so very good, super fresh and handmade patty and fries! Good service too :)
google avatar

Andrew M.

Yelp
Honestly, everything is just okay. Not the most trully exceptional burgers nor fries. Five guys has better fries if you want just fries. The burger was just okay too. It was juicy got good beef and cooked perfectly but yeah it was just not the best one i have tried so far nor the best in town. Bunsen is just simple with few things to choose from and make it simple. This is recommended for comfort food as it is cheap and good quality. Cheers!

Yelp
We were fighting some major jet lag and ordered take out. This burger might be one of my favorite burgers ever. It was cooked great and the bun was so good. Just the right amount of cheese. If I had tried this earlier I probably would have been back! The fries were really good too and huge servings. We got sweet potato and regular fries. Both were good. I preferred the normal and my husband preferred the sweet potato. We definitely could have split one order of fries though. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
Love love love! I love burgers and while out of town it's rare that I find a good burger spot. They are massive and very fresh tasting. The price is comparable to any other place I've been to in the US. It's a small eatery but you are seated quickly and the food comes out pretty fast. If I return to Dublin I will pop in again for a bite.

Yelp
After two solid weeks of delicious pub food, we decided we needed to switch things up and were in serious need of a burger. Staying in Temple Bar, we had walked past this place quite a few times, but would have completely skipped it if it weren't for the Yelp app. Once you go inside, you'll give the host your name and phone number so they could text you when your table is ready. Since we were strictly wifi via our hotspot, we were told to just come back at a certain time and a spot should be ready for us within the hour. I loved that the menu was super small. So small that it all fit on a business card. Jaime got the cheeseburger, I got the double and we shared a side of fries. The food came out fast and I was very much in love with the juicy burger smothered in cheese on a fluffy bun that was set in front of me. I liked it so much, we contemplated coming back the next day for another high-cholesterol nightcap. The service was friendly and even though there were a lot of loud, inebriated people, things ran like a well oiled machine. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Guinness of course! Great service, convivial atmosphere, needed some meat after all the fish consumed and pleased

Jerry N.

Yelp
This is coming from a native Californian. I will compare this burger joint to the best burger for value, In-N-Out: I ordered a cheeseburger with everything medium (they didn't have medium rare), the burger came out closer to medium rare oddly enough, which was perfect still pink no blood. I would say the burger meat is better than In-N-Out, but the buns are not toasted. Overall I would say I would say their burger is better minus the bun. Each burger is about 10 euros (11 US dollars) so I wouldn't say it's twice as good as In-N-Out but better. French fries were excellent. Service was per usual nothing special it's a bar.

Yelp
Solid burger in Ireland. Friendly service as well.

Yelp
Late night in Temple Bar calls for a good burger to end things. After a hard day of sightseeing, we decided to hit up Bunsen based off recommendations. It was a bit late so the crowd wasn't too bad. The menu is short and to the point. So short that it fits on a business card. I ordered the cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. My burger was full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The sweet potato fries were hot and crispy. I wanted to save room for dessert, but I couldn't help myself. Before I knew it my entire plate was empty. The restaurant was nice and tidy. The noise level of wasn't an issue, which was wonderful since we were in such an active area. If I'm every around this way again I'll be sure to drop in.

Yelp
Amazing burgers! This was the best burger I have ever eaten. Any meat eating, red blooded American visiting Dublin should make a stop at this place, it's the bomb! Don't get me wrong, when in Ireland feast on the traditional Irish meals but after two weeks you might be craving something different. The Bunsen will not disappoint, oh and a bonus, you can get Sierra Nevada Pale Ale!
google avatar

Alex A.

Yelp
After a long day of walking and sightseeing, this is exactly what we needed! The double cheeseburger and hand cut fries were simply DELICIOUS! I will definitely return.

Yelp
You have to respect a place that can fit their entire menu on a business card (photo: http://bit.ly/2elxCHq). In that respect, Bunsen reminds me of In-n-Out, but it's a pricier proposition here probably because of the throngs of tourists willing to pull down more than a few Euros for a good burger. After days of Irish stew and related local dishes, Jamie W. was in the mood for a burger, and sure enough, Bunsen popped up right across from the legendary Temple Bar with an inviting sign right above the front door: "Straight Up Burgers". The place was packed, but we got lucky and landed a table normally held for four right in front. Both of us got the €7.45 Cheeseburger which was plump, juicy, and just plain delicious even it was a bit oversalted (photo: http://bit.ly/2dNxNL6). So were the €2.95 Shoestring Fries (photo: http://bit.ly/2eXSQNw), but it suited the spuds of which there were a seemingly endless supply to munch on as we were conversed with the U.S. expats at the next table complaining about Trump. Jamie enjoyed the €4.95 Sweet Potato Fries since they lent a dessert-like complement to the hearty meat. Service from the young female waitstaff was swift and helpful with nary a wasted move. It was a choice spot indeed. FOOD - 4 stars...a solid, satisfying burger in the heart of the Temple Bar district AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...a busy, bustling spot with not much elbow room but it worked SERVICE - 4 stars...hard-working staff keeps their cool despite the U.N. delegation of waiting customers TOTAL - 4 stars...not the cheapest spot in town but come here when you're in need of meat

Yelp
This place is comforting for any American visitor. The burgers were delicious and fairly priced (most places around Dublin offer tasty yet pricey burgers). They had thin fries as an option, which were delicious. Sometimes, the thick fries are a bit much, and Bunsen provided a nice break. The menu was a bit limited, but this makes ordering very quick and simple. One is located in the heart of the Temple Bar area. I have recommended it to multiple friends already.
google avatar

Yelp
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! There was a wait but it was a Saturday and every restaurant in the area had a wait. It was great when we sat down at the table and menu was a business card with four burgers and three options for fries. They have more beer and wine options than food options. But OMG, this burger was juicy and cheesy and fast to come out. The fries were delicious as well, hand cut and piping hot. I finished eating and wanted another full meal immediately. I want to go back...NOW!
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
Wow!!!! This burger was amazing... They are straight up burgers... We loved this place.... wish they had one back in the States... deliciousness If you love burgers and fries eat here... Two up
google avatar

Justin L.

Yelp
I'm from California and In-N-Out is king there but I think Bunsen can beat that. The burger meat has good proportion and the taste is excellent. I haven't tasted a good burger like this for a long time. This is a must try and compare it for yourself. I don't think you will be disappointed. You will thank me! You're welcome.
google avatar

Dominique E.

Yelp
This place had an incredible ambiance when we first walked in, which was great. The staff was super helpful and very friendly. The menu is awesome since it is only a few items on a business card! Now for the food..... it was fantastic! The burger was cooked perfectly and was juicy melt in your mouth! The fries were yummy and salted just right! I highly recommend this place for a burger you won't forget!! As for drinks they have soda and several beers available as well many IPAs such as Brew dog IPA, along with some ciders and wine. It was very filling and definitely hit the spot! I would recommend to anyone wanting to grab a great burger and fries!
google avatar

Zack M.

Yelp
Stopped in here before heading over to the Guinness tour for a quick bite and were amazed with these burgers. The entire menu is the size of a business card; you have the choice of a single or double burger, hand cut, shoestring, or sweet potato fries, and a milkshake. This might be one of the best burgers I've ever had, and the fries were great too. An absolute monster cheeseburger that melted in your mouth and was packed with flavor. I didn't even get to snap a picture because I started eating as soon as I laid eyes on the thing.
google avatar

Jonathan S.

Yelp
Love this spot! Great fresh and fast burger. Highly recommend for a simple menu with burgers and fries.
google avatar

Walter M.

Yelp
This place makes one hell of a burger and I'm really sad I won't have a Bunsen down the street from me once I return home from vacation. The burger is thick, juicy and flavorful. Staff was very friendly and food was brought out quickly (~10 min). I stuffed my face with the double cheeseburger, sweet potato fries and washed it down with a chocolate shake. Definitely recommend to anyone. For burger lovers, Bunsen is a must-try.
google avatar

Dana B.

Yelp
What an awesome burger we had at Bunsen! The menu is very simple and to the point, if looking for fancy burger with lots of toppings this isn't the place for you. We shared a cheese burger and fries . The size of burger was good and the meat patty was thick! The hamburger was cooked to order and came out medium just as we had ordered it. There was just something about how good this burger tasted! Our stomachs were so full and happy after we finished!
google avatar

Juliana R.

Yelp
Oh, gosh I wish they had this burger place in the United States. This was on Buzzfeed and it was so worth every penny or pence. This burger was so juicy and so big. No dryness whatsoever. The menu is simple. Literally just a burger and potato/sweet potato fries. So I got everything on the menu basically. Ate the entire thing. The best meal I had in Dublin. :)

Karen K.

Yelp
Really great burger, perfectly done! Crispy shoestring potatoes. Quick service if you're in a hurry.

Ling T.

Yelp
Two things: 1 - You have to love a sit down restaurant that has the entire menu on one side of business card. 2 - I didn't think I would have the absolute best cheeseburger in my life in Ireland. It was fresh and juicy and filled with the basic delicious toppings. The staff was friendly and prompt. The chocolate shake was so so good.
google avatar

Isabelle F.

Yelp
I've been to the restaurant and it's excellent. I don't really like take away burgers but considering the quality of Bunsen's I decided to risk yesterday. SURPRISE! It's fantastic and it travels perfectly.

Yelp
Big LOVE ! Eating Irish in Ireland is good ! But after a few weeks and after a few pies and fish & chips it is so good to have a burger ! And this burger is not like every bad burger you can find in every amazing pub in Dublin. It literally rocked my world. This burger can be described as an American burger : fatty but really tasty, lot's of cheese there ! The fries were good and the total price wasn't too bad for the quality. Only problem : we were freezing there, the AC was working right on us and it wasn't that hot outisde...
google avatar

Jen W.

Yelp
This is one tasty burger. For the American's reading this review lets get this out front. Beef in other countries tastes differently than beef from America. Don't expect to get an 'In-N-Out' burger in Ireland (I do love me some In-N-Out). I've eaten a lot of hamburgers in a lot of countries. This is a good burger. I got a single and my fave got himself a double cheese. The menu is straightforward. It is literally on a business card. Single or Double. How do you want that cooked? Cheese or no. Fries hand cut, shoe string or sweet potato. Soda, Shake, beer or wine. Finito. That is the entire menu. Oh, and you get to choose toppings: lettuce, pickle, onion, tomato, ketchup, mustard, mayo or all of the above. Brilliant! If you don't eat beef, this is not your restaurant. This location is in Temple Bar, and we had to wait over 30 minutes for a table which we were told is normal. I found out later there is another location near St. Stephen's Green. Maybe that one would have a little less waiting time? With a menu this concise, the turn over is pretty quick. Give the waitress your cell number and you'll get a text letting you know you are in the queue, then another when your table is ready. Drinks are served first. There was a chalkboard listing beers they carry at one end of the dining area. Wine is 'red or white'. The waitresses aren't milling about checking on people. If you need another drink, flag her down. From time to time you'll see a waitress came out of the kitchen carrying about a dozen orders stacked on top of each other. Each on it's own little tray. These are divvied up and taken to the appropriate tables. It did take a bit of time for the orders to come out of the kitchen but we didn't mind. It gave us time to check out the restaurant and talk about our trip. Once the food was delivered we didn't see the waitress again. The burgers were well cooked, juicy and tasty. The bun is fresh and a good size for the burger. The toppings were in good measure; not too much or too little. The thin fries are quite good as well. I would totally have gone back for another meal if time allowed. For a simple burger, this one makes a statement. Some times when you've been on the road a while, you want a break from 'local specialties' and need a burger. When that urge hits, give this one a try.

Yelp
Ireland's in and out burger. Soooo good. The menu is so simple it is printed on a business card. Just burgers , fries, and drink. This was one of the best burgers i have ever had and not what you would think of as an "irish burger." The location is in the heart of temple bar district, and actually right across from temple bar. Enjoy!

Yelp
Today was my first experience at Bunsen. I joined my husband for lunch. The menu is typed out on a business card. There are several posted for you to view. Basically burgers, fries, drinks. Servers came right over when we sat down. The place is very clean, restrooms were also clean. We ordered two cheeseburgers, two soft drinks and shared the skinny fries. The food was very very good. I really enjoyed my burger. At 7.50€ for a cheeseburger this place seems a little high but the quality of the food was excellent. They have two locations in the city center and I will definitely eat there again.

Matia O.

Yelp
Really good juicy burgers. Loved the sweet potato fries. Chocolate milk shake was just okay
