The desire to eat here was high, but so hard to get an immediate reservation -- and I had to cancel on 2 occasions. So don't wait until the day of, or expect to get walk-in seating.
Hustling and bustling, busy-busy, and kind of loud. I wouldn't say the decor is amazing, but nice and clean. A small amount of tables outside, and I'm told -- super nice when nice weather.
Now, just so you realize, it's northern Italian. You won't find lasagne, bolognese, or egg parm -- save that desire for another place.
The bread was "okay":
===================
Cold but fresh, sliced focaccia-like. Great was the olive spread is was served with.
So...the gf and I elected for 2 pastas, and we loved them:
===============================================
1) Tortelloni alla Piemontese [$29.25, 4.5 stars] -- (as the menu describes...) Homemade tortelloni stuffed with roasted veal, spinach, and prosciutto in a porcini mushroom tomato sauce
2) Pappardelle alla San Pietro [$31.75, 4.0 stars] -- (as the menu describes...) Wide pasta ribbons with sautéed river shrimp, white wine, braised sweet onions and imported prosciutto finished with a light creamy tomato sauce
Rating/conclusion:

Now, it gets a 4.0 stars. I love the server, and the food was definitely good. But, pricey and almost not worth the trip. It's in the rotation, but sparingly.
