Buøy Camping

Thank you for the warm welcome, the kind gestures and support during my 12-days holiday. ||In words: hospitable, clean, green, spacious in a beautiful valley ideal for relaxing, hikes to enjoying nature.||Free showers and inside cooking are a bonus and the laundryroom is easy to use. ||The camping is kept as natural as possible with lots of trees, bushes and flowers. Different places for tents, campers and caravans. Electricity everywhere for charging phones, bikes etc..||There are different wooden cabines to rent.||I enjoyed the beautiful walks and hikes I made. ||Nature is blosseming with lots of different flowers and herbs. Every hour of the day birds are singing.||I saw a few deers and at the very last night a beaver.||A nice surprise at the end of a holiday I will never forget.||No surprise that I fell in love with this place, the village Dalen, the kind people I met, the refreshing sound of the rivers floating by leading to the beautiful lake just a few minutes away. If you want to have som flashbacks to the 80s this is the place for you. Everything her is old and not maintained and fare behind Norwegian standard's. And if you like bugs this is also the place for you, because her you will get the chance to meet all of theme that you can see in Norway . This is a place that I can't tell people to use because there at so much better than this in Norway, if l was driving l would rather sleep in the front seat of my car than this place.

Very nice camping with many facilities one of the best we have stayed at!! We stayed on the tent area (free of cars). Stunning surrounding between wood and mountains 🤩Very closed to Dalen center. We will recommend the place 👍

We stopped by without a reservation for camping and didn’t know much about the area from before. This place is an absolute gem and we will definitely return in the future. Great for camping, family friendly with a small play area and plenty of excellent shade for tents.

We camped at Buøy for 11 days—a beautiful place that we were reluctant to leave. You can feel the campsite owner’s dedicated maintenance of the environment here. The entire island is surrounded by mountain views and flowing streams. On clear nights, the magnificent mountain scenery lulls us to sleep with the gentle sound of running water. During rainy days, mist hovers over the streams and mountains, creating an enchanting atmosphere reminiscent of a fairytale. There’s plenty to do near the campsite, including numerous hiking trails with breathtaking views and a historically significant museum to explore. Most importantly, the sanitary facilities are exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the abundant hot water allows us to relax and refresh after a day of outdoor activities. The campsite owner is also very talkative, making us feel like we’ve spent our vacation at a home away from home. We’re already looking forward to returning to this wonderful place next year!

Totally stunning campsite, one of the best we've stayed at. Quiet, clean and modern toilet block and lots of space. They limit the numbers of campers so people aren't squashed in. Ring on the morning that you want to go and they will book you a slot (you still get to pick your own pitch). Will definitely be back next time we are in Norway.

This is a very nice Family camping. Beautiful location with mountains (fjell) and river(elv), shower and kitchen is included in the reasonable price. Dalen town with cafe' and two good grocery stores nearby (5 min on bicycle) - and friendly and competent staff. 👍

Stumbled into Dalen around 11pm, exhausted and needing to sleep. This campsite was an Oasis. Hot showers, clean bathrooms, laundry, and plenty of soft grass to pitch a tent on. Not to mention a gorgeous valley and lake view and hiking trails. I never got to explore the small town, but it seemed to have a cafe, fuel station, and restaurant. Easily one of the best campsites ive ever visited.
