"Just a few blocks fromLuang Prabang’s renowned night market, Burasari Heritage remains relatively quiet despite being in the heart of town. Thecolonial-inspired rooms feel like those you might find in a country retreat, with teak floors and walls, campaign-style furnishings, and brightly hued traditional linens; bordered by shady palms studded with jewel-shaped lanterns, a terrace restaurant follows suit with views over the Nam Khan river. The hotel’slocation makes it an excellent spot for participating in the famous morning alms ceremony, in which orange-clad Buddhist monks accept charitable donations, usually in the form of sticky rice, from locals, but it also puts a heavy emphasis on the experiential aspects of travel, with offerings that include market-to-table cooking classes centered on regional specialties and evening long-tail boat cruises on the Mekong. We originally planned to stay just a few days but ended up staying 26—simply because we loved it so much. The hotel has a romantic charm, a very laid-back and peaceful atmosphere, and we felt at home from the start. The room was great—comfortable and clean—and the room service was excellent, always friendly and prompt.||A special thanks to Mr. Phang at reception, who went above and beyond to assist us. He helped with booking both a motorcycle and a car, making our stay even more convenient and enjoyable. His kindness and efficiency truly made a difference.||This is the kind of place that makes it easy to relax and enjoy the moment. Highly recommended, especially for couples looking for a quiet escape!

We stayed three nights and very much enjoyed the beautiful architecture of the room and building. The staff is very friendly and makes all efforts to make you feel happy and accommodating any special request. We enjoyed our room with river view balcony. A very good a la carte breakfast was included and there is a nice river side garden area for food and drinks. We also enjoyed the complementary bicycle use. Thanks for arranging motor scooter rental, providing info and making arrangements for us. We can certainly recommend this place.

The room we had was gorgeous, did not want to leave it. Colonial inspired with tasteful lighting and beautiful woodwork. Loved the extensive wooden balcony, with tasteful furniture, which was also very comfortable. Staff were gracious, polite and extremely helpful. Nothing too much trouble. A special mention for Somair and Pen who gave us a lot of help with travel arrangements. Great location, within walking distance to all main sites.

This is a beautiful hotel with lovely staff. The building is in the traditional teakwood style situated on a quiet road alongside the Khan river. We upgraded to a room with a balcony – good decision! We'd been to Luang Prabang before (and loved it) so enjoyed a fair bit of time hanging out on the balcony. The bed was very comfortable. My only quibble is that the lighting was very poor in such a dark (by its nature) room. The staff were excellent – friendly and helpful. We enjoyed breakfast each morning at bistro-style tables on the side of the quiet little road there. We also ate in the pretty garden across the road, right by the river. There was real orange juice at breakfast, which we lapped up – we're used to synthetic OJ at hotels in Thailand, where we live. The food was very good, too. We appreciated borrowing the hotel's bikes, as LP is wonderful for cycling. I recommend visiting the buffalo farm (laosbuffalodairy.com) outside of town, which was a highlight of the trip. I strongly recommend staying at the Burasari!

Our visit to Luang Prabang was brief, being only 2 nights, but we were thoroughly happy with our stay at the Busari Heritage. ||The room was quite comfortable and the staff were super-friendly. The location was also nice and quiet, yet conveniently within walking distance everything (including the daily morning alms-walk by the local monks). ||I give this hotel a big thumbs-up.

Outstanding hotel with an excellent location. It's probably not five-star in the sense of additional amenities like you might find in the US, but it's five-star with respect to service, especially Somair, who met my every need. Also has a fantastic restaurant that I chose to eat at every day. Would definitely repeat.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights before taking a slow boat to Pak Beng to visit the Mekong Elephant Sanctuary. After our time there, we returned to the hotel for one final night before heading off again. The hotel is beautiful, like an old villa. It’s incredibly elegant, with everything made of wood, and it has such a charming atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay. The first time, we stayed in a standard room, and the second time, they kindly upgraded us to a room with a view of the river. The hotel is located on the opposite side of the Mekong River, in a very quiet and peaceful area surrounded by greenery. We also dined at the restaurant, and the food was excellent. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff was extremely kind and attentive. We had a fantastic experience here and would highly recommend it! The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. They allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel during the two days we were away, so we didn’t have to travel heavily loaded. When we returned, they had even placed our bags in our room, ready for us. This level of service made our stay even more enjoyable. We truly appreciated their thoughtfulness and attention to detail.

Beautiful but small rooms. One of the service staff at the restaurant and not well trained. Got my order wrong on multiple occasions because she seemed too shy to listen properly and clarify. But I would like to thank Som Air especially. He was amazing. We needed transport to the airport in a rush and he helped us book it and even helped with our bags. He needs to be recognised for his great work and promoted!
