"Just a few blocks fromLuang Prabang’s renowned night market, Burasari Heritage remains relatively quiet despite being in the heart of town. Thecolonial-inspired rooms feel like those you might find in a country retreat, with teak floors and walls, campaign-style furnishings, and brightly hued traditional linens; bordered by shady palms studded with jewel-shaped lanterns, a terrace restaurant follows suit with views over the Nam Khan river. The hotel’slocation makes it an excellent spot for participating in the famous morning alms ceremony, in which orange-clad Buddhist monks accept charitable donations, usually in the form of sticky rice, from locals, but it also puts a heavy emphasis on the experiential aspects of travel, with offerings that include market-to-table cooking classes centered on regional specialties and evening long-tail boat cruises on the Mekong. DATE of STAY: 6/27-7/2||The Burasari is a unique and interesting experience my wife and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a more cultural and immersive experience beyond a traditional hotel. The hotel itself is a restored heritage property which makes one feel instantly transported to another time and place. The traditional architecture blends Lao and French styles, using as many original materials as possible. The dark heavy woods really set the mood. ||As such, expect the facility to reflect the age and design. There may be narrow and uneven areas, or the stairs may feel steep, but the hotel makes every effort to make guests safe and comfortable. Due to the very unique doors and handle styles, there will be insects and a gecko or two that makes its way inside your room and also in the area of the outdoor dining area too.. The hotel very thoughtfully provides a pleasant smelling lemongrass bug spray for your convenience. My wife and I were bit a couple times by mosquitos, but it did not bother us or ruin our stay. We understand it just comes with the experience, so no big deal for us.||We really enjoyed staying at the Brusari, the location in Old Town just along the river is fantastic and the surrounding area is perfect for leisurely exploration on foot. It is charming, peaceful, and atmospheric. My wife and I look forward to coming back to Luang Prabang and staying at the Brusari again.

I highly recommend the Burasari Heritage Hotel. Located in the heart of the old city of Luang Prabang, it looks out onto the Nam Khan River, a great place to have a glass of wine at night. The facility is beautifully designed; the rooms are all in wood, giving the hotel a 1920s feel. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They arranged my travel to Nong Khiaw and the airport with no problems. A special notice to Phaeng and Somair who were especially helpful. Wonderful breakfast and good food added to the delight. I hope I can go back again in the future.

The Burasari is ideally located in the historic old town. The hotel consists of several buildings made of tropical wood. The service is professional and very friendly. Mr. Lid is particularly noteworthy, always smiling and speaking excellent, easy-to-understand English. He and Ms. Lad make excellent coffee. The women from room service also do an excellent job. They come twice a day to make the beds, close the shutters, and clean. I would be a little cautious when booking taxis and excursions: the prices here are significantly higher than at agencies in the surrounding area. We stayed here for nine days and enjoyed the hotel and the excellent breakfast.

This impacts to our feeling that would like to return again. Thanks to khun Jocky, Operation Manager. Who’s recommended us for many great places and foods. Very friendly, always chills and smiles. If you are looking for escape from busy towns. Barasari Heritage Hotel and Spa is highly recommended. - Your days are important for the local staffs, they will make sure that you been to a great place and enjoy your time during stays. - Safety, Barasari they have great security that always looking after you, after your motorbike or your belongings. - The restaurant, food are amazing taste on their own cooking style. You can’t compare to others. - Cool Wine List, this is the sign of the forward going business in that areas. The wine selections are fantastic and affordable. - Location is in the middle of everything. Temple, night market, River, bars, restaurants, coffee centers etc. I wish one day I will visit them again. Big love for Barasari Heritage Team. Thank you all for made us feel warm, safe, and happy during our stay.

Stunning aesthetic of colonial mixed with Lao heritage. Rooms are fully furnished, and every amenity was working well.||We get to be away from the main road in the historic district and cozily tucked away facing the river while being just a (1 min) corner turn away from all the main activities such as alms giving to the monks.||FOOD IS GOOD! You must TRY ALL THE LAOTIAN OPTIONS AT THEIR RESTAURANT! And the strategic spot is a walk away from all the important sites. Not one did I need the Tuk Tuk to get to these spots.

We had a great few days at the Burasari Lodge. Perfectly located for exploring Luang Prabang's Old Quarter on foot, with free bikes also available. The rooms were beautiful and the hotel is very clean. Breakfast was great, and Somair and the team were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend!

The staff are friendly and helpful. The room is well-designed with vintage style. It's clean and hygiene as well. The breakfast is really nice with variety choices of western/laos food. The location is good, just near the main street, and 10-min walk to the night market. Just a little bit improvement can be done for amenities (e.g. upgrade the socket with usb tab, sound-absorb materials for blocking the noise from street)

This hotel is absolutely stunning. It’s a perfect blend of traditional Lao architecture and culture with a touch of French colonial charm. Every corner of the property feels thoughtfully designed — warm, elegant, and full of character. The surroundings are lush and peaceful, with a gentle breeze that makes you feel totally relaxed. It’s the kind of place where you can truly unwind — calm, quiet, and soul-soothing. But the highlight has to be the bed. It’s incredibly soft and comfortable — one of the best I’ve ever slept on. I fell into a deep sleep, completely relaxed, and honestly didn’t want to get up in the morning. It felt like being hugged by a cloud! The staff were also lovely — kind, friendly, and always willing to help with a smile. Their warm hospitality really made the stay even more special. If you’re visiting Luang Prabang and looking for a place that combines beauty, culture, and comfort, this is definitely the one. Highly recommended!
