Burdines Waterfront

Staff were friendly and attentive, bringing our pup a water bowl with our drinks! The fries meet the hype, so tasty. If you’re hesitant, just try them. They had great beer options in can and bottle (featuring many keys based breweries, which is cool to see local) but the biggest downside to this place is not having beer on tap.

Delicious food, great service! We had the Mahi, and shrimp sandwich and shared a fry. The fries are huge! Also yummy?!! Fried key lime pie?!! What tasty food all around.

We stopped by specifically for their deep fried key lime pie which I had seen in a food tour video. This was beyond delicious. Unfortunately we had already had dinner as when we saw the meals coming out to other customers they looked really tempting making us wish we hadn't already eaten. What a hidden gem.

The best burger and OMG the fries are the BEST we have had. Crunchy and cut and made fresh daily! Delish! The burger was so high and thick I could barely get my mouth around it.

Burdine’s Waterfront in Marathon was an excellent stop! The fried key lime pie was absolutely outstanding — the lime drizzle on top took it to the next level. I had the Mahi sandwich, and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned just right. The fries were some of the best I’ve had in Florida, thanks to their signature fry dust — seriously addicting! This is a must-visit spot for a classic Florida lunch with great flavors and a laid-back vibe.

We got the Italian burger, fries and fried key lime pie. We loved the fries, yum! The burger was fine, no complaints, but I’m really giving five stars because the service was above and beyond! They split our burger for us and gave us separate trays since we were sharing one! They also did our cheese in the side, per our request. My friend got the fried key lime pie. It was good but he wished he’d tried their original!

Trent from our snorkeling trip recommended this local spot for their righteous fries. Got to say they were great as well as the burgers. Was skeptical about the fried Keylime pie, but it was on point! Will be coming back next time we’re in the keys.

A spot you need to go to while staying in marathon. Great water front dining with laid back atmosphere. Love watching the boats go by on the channel. The menu is somewhat limited, but the food was great. The shrimp burger was tasty, and bacon wrapped shrimp was my sons best meal while in marathon. My daughter loved the taco salad. You need to get the deep-fried key lime pie for dessert, so delicious.

Food was great, but the host was rude. When he sat us down at the table he slammed the menus on the table without confirmation if the table was ok. We requested to move to a different table but he said that they were all full (there was multiple empty tables). After that we got a new server and she was kind. I would rate the food a 8.7/10 and the service a 5/10. Would come again but only for the food.

Definitely recommend Burdines as a great casual seafood spot! My family and I ate here Jan '25 and had a great experience. The dining area is on the upstairs patio and has a great view of the water. Burdines does not serve liquor but has a good list of local beers and a basic wine list. My husband and I ordered a blackened shrimp platter and a fish platter and split them- both the shrimp and fish were very good! We all shared a piece of the "best in the keys" key lime pie and it WAS very good! Very light and fluffy texture wise. As we were leaving we were treated to a dolphin sighting of a pair swimming out into the sunset- picturesque!

Service was friendly but food was very underwhelming and over priced. We started with the hush puppy app which said it came with pepper jack cheese and a raspberry jalapeño dipping sauce. We got a basket of basic hush puppies with shredded Colby jack not melted but just tossed on top. No flavor of jalapeños in the sauce either. Mahi Rueben was ok and would order again but for $19 a side with it would be nice. Pickles were very tasty. Kids chicken was just that. Nothing comes with anything and I didn't see any sides you could order and pay for either. So we all left still a little hungry. Poke bowl the tuna had great flavor but needed rice or something. Everything was good but just needed something else too. Key lime pie tasted like mostly costly cool whip and wasn't what I was expecting at all.

I just ordered food and I'm going to assume it will be good. I'm reviewing the service. The hostess was rude. The bartender had the personality of a rock and all it seems he can say is no. This behavior has to come down from the manager. Hey manager - if you're reading this and care - teach your employees that service is 1/2 of the experience. While sitting here I looked at the yelp reviews and it seems rudeness is a trend. Be a manager and fix it!

Fun spot right on the water overlooking the Atlantic. Perfect seaside bar with better than bar food. Lots of fried things. We had the bacon wrapped scallops that were delish. Service is outstanding and you will have fun. Gets crowded at sunset so arrive early for the best view.

This is still the best tuna melt around! There aren't a lot of places that haven't gone down hill after Covid & with inflation but this place hasn't changed in the 5 years we've been coming here! It's still as good as ever; they are still using great ingredients and making great food! It never disappoints!

This restaurant never disappoints. It's the kind of greasy, flavorful food you crave after a long day out on the water or in the sun. The food is always packed with flavor, and the service is typically quick and friendly. The French fries are a must-try; be sure to ask for the extra seasoning on the side--it's essential. You won't be disappointed.

What a great location and the food was great! The key lime burrito was awesome!!! We can't wait to go back to the Keys and visit Burdines again!

Wandered in and was not disappointed. Reminded me of some of my fave dive bars in Chicago (Miller Lite was a bonus).

This has got to be the best seafood in the keys , outstanding service , my fish sandwich was fantastic, and I live fish sandwiches . Ice cold brew, and our bar keeper suggested their fried Keylime pie . Dear Lord, you got to try it . Great views. Great company will return.

We saw great reviews for this place so we decided to try it. The staff was rude and the menu is just a bar menu. No real seafood. Again staff was extremely rude. Don't waste your time.

This waterfront restaurant is as a great stop when you want something quick to have on the road . It's great to go with a group of friends and even if it's busy , you might have to wait a little . Food was ok , and just a good place to have drinks by the water .

Burdines is a cool local bar and restaurant. The staff isvery friendly and you should definitely order the fries!

The tuna salads sandwich was good. However, I remember going here last year and the fries were amazing. Was soooo disappointed today. Fries were soggy and cold. In fact they were terrible. We should have sent them back.

Super cool restaurant on the second floor of a marina. All outdoors with covered seating. Great selection of beers, and plenty of food options. I got a delicious simple mahi sandwich, and fries which were good as well. I tried the key lime pie and the fried key lime pie, both were awesome. Not sure if I could pick a favorite. Special shout-out to our server and bartender Jason, who was super friendly, very helpful, and had great recommendations for the group as well. Very quick and on top of things too. Food was okay- server had attitude. She barely spoke to us besides taking order. Wine and beer only-no liquor. Had hush puppies and they cover them in shredded cheese-not a fan. Location is nice on water but wouldn't go back.

Amazing view and believe or not Philly cheese steak sandwich. Pro tip...talk to my girl Tasha and order it her way, off the charts!!! The fries are stellar salty and delicious. Let's talk about the star of the show...the key lime pie literally made my fat belly wish there was more room. I committed pretty hard to the Philly and fries so I was stuffed. Tasha told me their key line was made in House and was delicious. So with the success of the Philly, I thought why not?? OMG literally FIRE it's unfair how good it is, I'm so pissed I'm only here on vacation and can't have it until I return (internal and external crying)!! Change your life and have a slice...

Great scenery, right on the water. The food was great, one of my favorite burger spots in the keys. The shareable fries are a great size for 3-4 people. The deep fried key lime pie is the best! I always come here to grab a slice. The service was good, attentive and fast!

Great food with a view! Shrimp quesadilla was real nice and the mahi sandwich was very fresh. Good portion of fries made it easy to share. The staff was friendly and prompt and seemed to get everyone in our lunch area eating fast. Free parking at the end of the marina and cool location.

Spent the weekend at The Keys and gave this place a try based on Yelp reviews. Food was pretty good! The hush puppies were my favorite! They are known for their fries! Ordered a basket to share with my son and daughter. Fries were pretty good! Perfectly fried! I had the shrimp platter and my shrimp was good but nothing to brag about. Ordered the fried key lime pie and it was good just not for me. There were nuts or something in the mix that I didn't like overall it was pretty good and tart and sweet so well balanced. Service was good and staff were pretty nice and attentive. Loved the water view. Was able to see what appeared to be jelly fish and different size boats pass by. Overall good vibes!

Do yourself a favor and go have the fried key lime pie. This was the best pie, fried or otherwise, that I've ever had. After that, I kept refusing offers from other restaurants because my heart knew nothing could compare!

Staff is wonderful!! Drink selection was extremely disappointing. The food was some of the worst we have had anywhere on the island. It's a dive bar with average views. DO NOT GO ON A WINDY DAY!!! I have been there enough times to know I won't be there again.

First time here, NOT disappointed. We had the Ahi Tuna Poke bowl and the Mahi Reuben. The ahi was unbelievably fresh and filled with tons of flavor. We then ordered the key lime pie... to die for. OMG! THEN, the young man with the Dior Nike's recommended we try the fried key lime pie because that's his favorite... again... hot on the outside and cold on the inside, it looked like a fried burrito.. absolutely phenomenal and unique!! The views are amazing, it's very clean inside and the food came out quick! We will most definetly be back, 11/10 experience! Thank you for having us!! - Fort Lauderdale!

Amazing that this place is so busy. Food is about the same you would get at a summer picnic fundraiser. We sat at the bar to avoid the long wait for a table. I'm glad we did. I would have been beside myself if we actually had to wait the 45 minutes to an hour for a table. I had the blackened Mahi Mahi. There was very little taste and the fish was dry. My partner had the fried shrimp, overcooked and tasteless. Hush puppies were dry and underwhelming. We did order the fries as a starter and they were pretty good. The bartenders had as much personality as the fish. I realize they were busy, but they could have at least tried to answer questions with more than one or two words, or maybe even said hello to start our interaction, or should I say transaction. I don't think we will be visiting here again.

LOVED Burdines!! Got there during peak lunch hour but still only had to wait 10 min for a table for 2, not too bad for waterfront dining (which other areas had us waiting over 40 min). The food and service was great. Loved my grilled mahi plate and the fries were seasoned perfectly. We were sat right in the corner by the water and got to see dolphins go by, so cool! Highly recommend this spot - will definitely be back!

I really give 5 stars for what I expect of the place and this is a 5 star fish joint to roll up yo in the keys. Nothing is cheap in the keys and I felt prices are fair. Except maybe ice tea refills idk if they're free but they should be. I had the shrimp burger which was really good and hit the spot. My companion had the mahi burger which was huge and delicious. We split a basket of fries which is large and well worth it. They do their fries right and have them soaking in water bins im the back...... Get whatever your heart desires and you won't be disappointed and def get the fries !

The food was average at best, and it's in a somewhat odd location, hidden behind what looked like a trailer park or mobile home community which made it a little difficult to find. It does sit on the water which I can imagine makes it a good spot to hang out, have drinks and watch the sunset. Unfortunately, we visited after sun down so there wasn't much to see. It was pretty empty and the service was lacking--seemed like the staff just wanted to call it quits for the night and get out of there. The menu doesn't have too much of a variety; mainly just bar food (burgers, quesadillas, chips and salsa, etc.) but we heard this place was known for their deep fried key lime "pie" so we gave it a try. It looks like a deep fried burrito with frozen key lime filling that tasted similar to ice cream or custard. It was different and pretty good; probably the best part of the meal. Might give this place another try on a sunny day in Marathon.

Can't beat a beautiful view for lunch and delicious seafood when visiting the Keys! We stopped here right as they opened at 11:30 AM on a Friday to begin our visit. We ordered grilled bacon wrapped shrimp with a side of coleslaw and hush puppies, which was absolutely delicious also a flavorful shrimp burger, and tuna melt. Oh and can't forget the basket of fries. Our waitress was friendly and helpful! Make sure you make your way to this lovely spot and grab a seat overlooking the water. As a sidenote, they only serve beer and wine, so don't ask for a Mojito.

I love coming here whenever I'm in the keys. My best friend brought me here once and now it's a must anytime I'm in the area. Their fries are to die for! It's a chill outdoor area. I recommend coming early as they do close around 8:30 and will turn you away. The waitress was also super attentive and very nice.

Tried to go try this place today - it is temporarily closed! Maybe will try again in the future.

Mediocre food and service at best. Took forever to get seated, to take order and even longer to get our food which was just so-so. Can't recommend

Date of visit: Sept 25, 2022 We were in town visiting. We stopped by on Sept 22 for dinner. When we arrived everything was closed down and a sign indicated they were on vacation Sept 6 through Sept 22, reopening Sept 23. I had visited Yelp, Google reviews and their website. None of them mentioned this. I pulled up their Facebook page and it did on there. At a minimum your own web page should reflect this info. Shot our party of 6 plans for dinner. Others in our party decided to try again today Sun Sept 25. This time we called to make sure they were open. When we arrived we were seated immediately. We placed an order for fries, and hush puppies. The hush puppies tasted great, and the fries were a very large quantity. We decided to place an order for 2 more fries for the table. I placed an order for a root beer. The waitress mentioned it was in a can for $3. Since I had an experience at another restaurant where theirs were also in cans, and no refills I asked to see if theirs was the same. The waitress said that there was no free refill either on their sodas which were all canned. She failed to mention this before I asked. $3 for a can of soda is insane without a free refill. We placed our orders. My wife asked for a shrimp sandwich. She was brought a shrimp platter instead. Instead of waiting for hers to come and not eating with everyone she decided just to eat what was brought. The waitress adjusted the price to the cost of the shrimp sandwich. I had the chicken plate. It came with hush puppies, slaw and a piece of chicken. The slaw was a bit mild for my personal taste, but everyone else liked theirs. The chicken piece was tasty, but wasn't thicker than a half inch. That was $13.95. The hush puppies were delicious. I felt the chicken should have been a whole breast. Instead it was cut in half. I would say the chicken piece was 3" x 3.5" x. 05" The waitress didn't seem to be in a happy mood, but she was not rude at all either. She was fast and very efficient. She refilled water multiple times for those who ordered water without being asked. The view of the water from the upper balcony eating area was nice. According to everyone else they enjoyed their meals. I docked 1 star for not communicating better their closure for vacation in their own website. Another star for the soda and the incorrect entree being brought to my wife. Had I actually paid $3 for a root beer and it didn't come with a refill, I would have been livid. I repeat to management. That price is ridiculous for a can of soda.

Philly cheesesteaks and fried key lime pie was great. Poke bowl was not great, could tell the tuna was frozen and not fresh. They don't have a full bar, only canned items or wine.

There food was amazing and so was the service! It was nice and quiet right by the water.

We had a great time visiting Burdines! When we arrived, the wait was unfortunately quite long, but it was worth the wait. The food selection was diverse and had great options. The restaurant overlooks the waterfront, so you can watch boats and a possible manatee (if you're lucky!) while enjoying your meal. Ample parking was available. Highly recommend the fried key lime pie! It was fantastic and different from other key lime pies we had tried on our endeavors.

Came here for drinks and appetizers on my way to Key West. The poke was delicious and so fresh! Also the fries here are very good too. Nice location on the water.

Vegans and vegetarian they gotcha here. They have a rice and beans platter with a huge tortilla and lettuce and pico. It's more than enough for a meal. The scenery is awesome! You can watch boats and people. Coming and going. The US Coast Guard was there having lunch (about 8 members). The he staff is very efficient and friendly. We had our two dogs with us and they brought them both a bowl of water

Holy crap this was amazing! Right on the water. The wait at opening was long...but we were 2nd in line and thank goodness because this place fills up super fast! And NO WONDER! It's sooooooo good. We had an outdoor table along the rail and covered with an umbrella...it was windy but warm. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the fooooood was sooooo gooooood! (I said that before but didn't remember - it was that good, though, that I had to say it again!) I had bacon wrapped bbq shrimp. Another person at my table had the blackened shrimp and the other had a grouper sandwich. Also got a side of fries - it was a HUGE basket of fries. 3 of us shared it and we couldn't finish it! We were all super impressed by the quality and taste of the food at such a low key marina/restaurant - I would have eaten again - the same exact thing - right then and there, if I weren't so full from the first plate. YUM! Our server said that's his favorite meal too. So I guess I did good. Definitely come here if you're in Marathon! No question.

We were looking for a place to eat and there aren't many options in the area so we went with this place. Got seating fairly quickly. I have to say I was very disappointed in the serving size of the poke bowl. They slap not 1 but 2 big thick slices of pineapple on the bottom and middle to look like there is a lot of fish in there and turns out it was all pineapple. Not worth the money but it was tasty. Tuna melt was pretty good and the key lime pie was so airy and fluffy and not too sweet which I like. Would I come here again. Great waterfront bar. We went for lunch and I found the food to be good bar food. Great views nice outdoor seating.

Excellent coffee, nice water front views. The food has always been good, the staff friendly and attentive, our favorite place in Brattleboro.

Stopped here after seeing a Tiktok about their fried key lime pie. I ordered the cheeseburger and the fried key lime pie. The cheeseburger was simple and can't say much about it. Generic, not memorable. The fried key lime pie was beautiful but lacked in flavor. I was disappointed to see the filling was scarce compared to the ample fried dough. I only ate half because it was too doughy, not enough key lime flavor. Overall would I come back? Maybe if I didn't have other options. It was okay, nothing great. Maybe I would come back and give their regular key lime pie a try.

Great atmosphere and good drinks, will certainly return! Only ordered app which was ok, but the dinners that came out looked great.
