I booked a consultation for my husband as a gift - the experience was amazing. He was able to take his time picking out the cut, fabric and style of his suit, along with two shirts. The second fitting and finalization was highly anticipated and did not disappoint - he has quality custom items that fit him perfectly now. One of my favorite places to stop on Elmwood. From people like me who don't know what they want, to people who have a very specific vision and want to get every detail right, the folks are Bureau will having you looking and feeling like a million bucks. My first purchase from here was a made-to-measure dress shirt for my best friend's wedding, and it was the first time ever having the feeling that a piece of clothing was made for me. I ended up back for a three-piece suit for my own wedding a few months later. It fit absolutely perfectly, and I still wear it every chance I get. You owe it to yourself to have at least one outfit in your arsenal that makes you feel like a rockstar, and anything from you get here will accomplish that.

Bureau was able to take our vision and turn it around in a tight timeline for our wedding. They made sure every detail was perfect and customized!! We highly recommend them and look forward to working with them again soon.

It was a great experience at Bureau from start to finish. I walked in looking for a wedding suit, and Mike took the time to walk me through some of the countless options, give me some great advice and ended up with an incredible custom piece. I had a very tight deadline, so when there was a holdup with shipping Mike was on the phone directly with delivery to get things moving, and updating me every step of the way. They came though huge on my big day and had me looking better than I could have imagined. The product quality is amazing, but the customer service here is simply unmatched and the reason I'll definitely be back in the future!

I was so impressed with my first experience working with Bureau to design a custom navy blue suit that I have since ordered two more pieces from Bureau - a custom midnight blue tux and a custom classic black suit. Each of these three pieces are simply stellar, and get routine compliments whether I wear them to work, weddings, or other professional and/or formal settings. I cannot recommend Bureau highly enough, and would encourage anyone in the greater Buffalo area to seek out Mike and the Bureau team's guidance when next looking to add to and upgrade their wardrobe.

We chose Bureau after looking at the run of the mill corporate suit shops that were just not cutting it and we're beyond happy that we did. From day one we noticed while working with Michael he was knowledgeable, professional and notably stylish. He took the time to go over every detail with us and never made us feel unwelcomed. The quality and material of the suit, service and staff is unrivaled by far. This local buffalo shop is unlike any other and well worth the money. We will be forever grateful for this gorgeous hand tailored suit and will be back if we ever get the chance.

The guys at Bureau are in a class of their own when it comes to hospitality and professionalism. My father, brothers and I scheduled a fitting for suits for my wedding not knowing exactly what to expect, and left later that afternoon feeling like royalty. We worked specifically with Mike G, who covered every detail of the suit down to the buttons. With the amount of detail involved we truly could not believe how easy they made it feel to build the suit from scratch. Suit coat, slacks, custom shirt, vest, custom engravings, the works. Each meeting from there on out was to insure that our suits fit to our exact specifications and would last a lifetime. They joked that once we tried ours on, we might never wear a non-custom suit again. After experiencing that suit truly for the first time on my wedding day, they might be right. I will definitely be back to work with them in the future, as will my family members. Can’t thank the guys at Bureau enough for their work! My wife and I got married in May and leading up to our wedding I was looking for a custom wedding suit. I had gone to several places beforehand and by the time we came across Michael at Bureau I realized what I was looking for. Michael was very patient and took a personal approach to make it not about the sale, but rather you as a person and what your needs are. I really appreciated that about Michael and working with him to put the suit together was a great experience! Each time he would ask how my day was, what my future plans were etc. Again, making it about me as a person rather than just a typical business sale. When all was said and done, the suit was amazing! Everything came on time, I was given a couple fittings at no extra charge and the overall atmosphere and experience was wonderful! At no time did I feel stressed or if things were going to run late. From the beginning he asked me to trust him, I did, and everything worked out perfectly! I plan on getting my next casual suit at Bureau and the next ones for years to come! Thank you Michael for everything you did!

I knew for quite some time that I wanted to use Bureau for my custom wedding suit, and Jon and Mike at the shop did not disappoint! I did my initial consult with Mike, and while I thought I had a good idea of what I wanted going into the appointment, the customization options were endless. Mike was super knowledgeable and down to earth, and really helped me narrow it down based on my vision. I opted to get the wedding suit package, that came with a three piece suit, custom dress shoes, white dress shirt, socks, knit tie, suspenders, and pocket square, and it's definitely worth the money. When I returned for my fitting and put the suit on the for the first time, I knew right away I never had a suit look and feel so good. Definitely will be returning to stock up on more suits with these guys. They're a riot, and the product is top notch.

The time was upon me to update my wardrobe. My existing suits were starting to show their wear. You know the story.. my suits had seen more than their fair share of lipstick on the collar, bullet holes skirting the jacket fabric at the ribs and for whatever inexplicable reason, Bengal tiger placentae stains on the sleeves. Bureau not only sells fancy threads worthy of distinguished gentlemen such as myself, but they also sell exclusively fully customized suits. Head to the shop on Elmwood Ave. for a visit and I promise you'll be impressed. There is a small lounge area where you sit and discuss the design of your new suit that has the look and feel of being in a London flat, as if you just wandered into a snuggery in Stanley Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange. Also, said lounge area may or may not have a false wall that leads to a secret room where there may or may not eventually be a speakeasy where men can sit down, whip up old fashioned cocktails and discuss the ways of the world, hypothetically speaking. A pure testosterone kick. I stopped in and met with Joe and Mike on my first visit. I didn't realize how much time I would need, so I came back a second time to place my order. There are a lot of choices to choose from, from the fabric, to the buttons, to the pockets, to the decision of putting something cool and hip for your interior liner, such as floating skulls and your initials, or something more classic. I didn't realize how many subtle nuances could be added to a fully customized suit that not only make you look like a secret agent killer, but also these nuances can showcase that fact you're wearing a custom suit that you just can't get from Men's Wearhouse or Jos A. Bank. Suits they craft here are made utilizing the finest woven wools and other top materials of your choosing (e.g. tweed, cashmere). Expect a 4-6 week turn-around-time, as your personalized suits will be manufactured in Holland. With this level of service and quality, however, comes a price: two-piece suits start around $700-$800 and three-piece suits start around $1300. If suits aren't your fancy, Bureau also sells fully customized jeans, dress jackets and even leather goods, such as shoes and handbags, but the suits are Bureau's staple. My thoughts? Go to Bureau now and "suit up" like Barney Stinson. It will be "Legen...wait-for-it...DARY!"

Customer service is amazing and for a high end establishment very laid back, personable and funny. Had a great time getting fitted for my first ever customized tux experience. Highly recommended

i should preface this by stating i am not a fancy person. i like nice clothes that fit me well. for work, i want clothes that are tasteful, professional and timeless. these guys are knowledgeable, and they're generous in sharing their knowledge while guiding customers through the process of customizing a professional wardrobe. i'm sure there's a faster way to say what i just said, but fuck it. you get my drift. they're worthwhile and they provide a really valuable service to jlubs* like me that wanna look nice. *it's yiddish. look it up.

Love this place, what it brings to a city like Buffalo, and the price for the service and product is awesome. Jon is amazing to work with, down to earth and knows his stuff. Mike is just as pleasant to talk with and work with. I just had my first suit made and I plan on going back for more! I would highly recommend you trust Bureau with your attire that needs that kind of special attention and treatment.

Where do I start? Bureau is the only place that anyone should ever go for their formal attire. I am not one to write reviews on any website, but I felt compelled to do so in this case. Jon Eisenberg and his team are true professionals, who are meticulous in their ability to find the perfect outfit for your special event. Furthermore, the service is impeccable. You can't teach people how to care about their profession, and that is what truly separates Bureau from their competition. I consider myself extremely lucky to have used this company for my tuxedo, and for my groomsman tuxedos. Do yourself a favor. Stop looking at other options. Go with Bureau. You will be elated with the way you look. I promise you. THANK YOU ALL A MILLION TIMES OVER!!!!!

I've been into Bureau 3 or 4 times now and this place is so very needed for Buffalo. The two guys that run it, Joe and John, not only know their stuff but they go out of their way to help you out. I went in last May not even knowing what this place was. When I left I knew I had a place to get all my suits. I had just been to New York 3 weeks prior and had been roaming Manhattan for a good place to to get a custom suit. 16sur20, Michael Andrews and Suit Supply were all good, but Bureau was simply better. If you've never had a custom suit, I would definitely recommend it. It literally fees like it was made for you specifically. First, as I said earlier, these guys go out of their way to help you out. To say that I'm picky is an understatement. I need every detail worked out exactly before I'm content. John spent 2-3 hours on a Sunday with me answering all my questions and helping make that perfect suit. Second, they know their stuff. In the aforementioned 3 hours of conversation I learned more than I ever thought I would considering I read Details and GQ regularly. Joe went to Pitti Uomo last June (a huge Men's show in Italy) and these guys simply know their craft. Third, they have more swatches and options and give you more control than even the places in NYC did. Three huge books of swatches, custom liners, number of buttons, lapel style, you name it. If I thought of it, the answer was "yeah we can do that". I love that amount of creative freedom. Fourth, the prices. I was looking at the exact same swatch books as I was in New York yet the prices were about half of what they were in Manhattan. While that might be obvious considering prices of everything in Manhattan, consider that you can get a custom made suit from Bureau for less than an off the rack Hugo Boss or Napoli's suit. So you're getting a more personalized experience for less money. What's not to like? Fifth, the accessories. Accessories are the best way to finish off a look, personalize your style, and get creative. Bureau has some really nice accessories including some cufflinks modeled after various bullet cartridges. Though technically not an accessory, I believe they also do custom shirts as well. Ultimately this place is the best Buffalo menswear store offering more value, freedom and a better product than anyone in the area.

Fantastic customer service, great quality. Came in 30 minutes before a wedding needing a shirt, and they had me in and out in 10. A top notch spot for menswear.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with custom suits I encourage you to give it a shot. Was there on business and had a free day and gave this place a shot. First of all the people there are snobbish. They were attentive and polite to another person who I gathered was a regular but it was like pulling teeth for them to help me. Didn't want to show me anything and I constantly had to say things like "what about that over there?" Maybe they didn't like my ethnicity? I rather go to Men's Warehouse than this snobbish and rude establishment.

Jon and Joe took a suit that I thought was destined for the donation bin and made it into a suit I can confidently throw into the rotation. Unreal quality work and just two genuine guys doing their thing.

What a great place! A cozy store-front on Elmwood that caters to all men of all shapes and sizes to have them dress as good as George (as in Clooney). Patterns, cuff styles, collar styles, buttons - OH MY! Hubby decided to purchase a shirt and we to have his measurements taken and shirt made. We are waiting for the shirt to come back (takes about 6 weeks). and I'll update the review then. I have high hopes for this store and the shirt..

Jon and Joe are truly committed to their craft. I came in asking for a custom made suit for my residency graduation at the end of last month. Tasked with only 5 weeks to do this (usually 6 weeks is the minimum), they went out of their way to accommodate me on record time. Jon even came in on his day off to meet me! Hands down best looking and fitting suit I've ever owned. Buffalo is lucky to have these guys.
