Burg Hotel

Staff friendly and helpful. They do speak fluent English. The hotel is clean but does need new carpet. The breakfast is free and exceptional. I believe each room comes with a private bathroom. The hotel is across the street from many of the attractions on Castle Hill.

Hotel is in a superb location in the grounds of Buda Palace. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. They allocated us an attic room which was generous sized and had a wonderful view of the church but...... I had to climb 58 stairs to get to the room, the room was very tired and in need of money being spent on it. The staff were not particularly friendly.

This hotel is in the center of many attractions, with the Matthaiss cathedral literally being several steps away, as well as Fisherman's Bastion. It over looks the heart of the city and is walkable regardless of your wanting to see the Pest or Buda side. In terms of accommodations however, the room is small, with a room for 2 really only of accommodating 1 person carrying a large suitcase comfortably. Therefore, if you plan to stay here, pack accordingly, especially of you're staying with another person. I did, unfortunately, have 1 bug incident when I saw a cockroach on the floor as I was walking to the restroom, but it was 1 all bug and there wasn't another incident. The reception took care of it immediately. Overall, if you're looking for an inexpensive and very accessible location, I would recommend the Burg Hotel.

Wow what a location, the hotel is situated in the centre of the square. Views are spectacular. Service is good, buffet breakfast was lovely sets you up for the day. Bedrooms are very clean with ensuite only down side there was kettle no in the room.

Great budget place to stay. Rooms are dated and mattress a bit thin, but more than compensated by the friendly and knowlegable staff, the best location in Budapest, the views from the bedroom, and the excellent free breakfast spread. Highly recommended for the price.

We (me and my girlfriend) had an amazing time in Budapest and the Burg hotel is one of the most friendly places we've ever been to. The staff was very helpful and informative, the room was clean and set up, and the view was something unbelievable. It is located in the Budapest center, with amazing shops and bars in the close walking distance. I forgot the mobile phone charger in my room and they returned it to me the next day via post for FREE. I highly recommend it!

This place is awesome! It’s in front of the chapel near to Buda castle. We love it. Nice bed, good breakfast and the staff is nice. If you can’t access to the breakfast bcoz you are leaving wearily you can ask them the night before and they will pack you something 😉

Very good position and good breakfast but no fridge, no soap, low level of room services (no cleaning in 3 days!). Budapest became an expensive destination with big prices and too many tourists
