I am not a burger person. In fact, I eat them only maybe once a year. So it took a bit of arm twisting to come here on my vacation. But damn. Am I glad I did! Not an exaggeration to say this was the best burger I've ever eaten. The menu can be a bit overwhelming at first, since there are just so many options (numerous meats/non-meats/fish, burger buns, toppings, cheeses, sauces, etc...) - you can even build your own poutine creation if you want. But once you get the hang of it, it's easy enough to place your order and create any burger (and I mean just about any) of your choosing. I'm Pescetarian, so it was wonderful to have more options to dine on than just a sad, thawed out Boca patty. I opted for the fresh salmon and it did not disappoint! It was literally just a big piece of cooked salmon, but topped with the various sauces and fixings I chose on their onion burger bun. Hands down turned out to be the best tasting burger I'd ever tried. My beef eating friends shared that they felt the same way about their more traditional-style beef burgers. Their sweet potato fries, while maybe not the best I've ever had, were still above par and I would recommend them - especially topped with curry ketchup (I'm not sure it's more than Thai curry paste mixed with ketchup, but I've never thought to do it and it's brilliant). They've also got a decent selection of local beers to try out. Mostly bottles, though they did have two or three taps as well.
We enjoyed our food so much we went back a second time during our trip.
Just be aware - they make things FRESH, so wait times can be long. Avoid the lunch rush - we waited over an hour around noon to receive our food. Go on an off hour and enjoy!
