Google
Really liked the outdoor patio. French fries were yum! I liked my burger. My husband felt it was good but not great.

Google
I had a mixed experience here. The service was truly great, and the fries were a definite highlight. I especially appreciated the extensive selection of dipping sauces. Unfortunately, the burgers didn't quite measure up. My patty lacked noticeable seasoning, resulting in a somewhat bland flavor. The natural gaminess of the beef was prominent, which might appeal to some, but I personally felt the burger would be significantly improved with seasoning to enhance the overall taste and add complexity and layers for a truly satisfying burger experience.

Google
Absolutely loved stopping here for lunch, we got the hangover cure and the new Plymouth, both were cooked perfectly and so delicious. We split a small fries with the house ketchup and the smoked shallot aioli, the aioli was incredible, huge flavor hit. The outside seating was very comfortable and multiple employees mentioned were more than happy to open an umbrella for some shade. Valerie was an awesome waitress, super attentive.

Google
Burgers were amazing. Fries were good, other sides were also really tasty. The staff was awesomely nice and helpful, the bartender even gave me some samples when I was trying to figure out what beer I’d like. I sat at the bar, ‘twas fun, the patio seating looked comfy, too. Would definitely recommend this place! Oh, and it’s pronounced like “batch”. 😉

Google
They need to fix their supply issues. They were out of lamb burgers, veggie burgers, some sauces, and most importantly gluten free buns. We went here for our friend with celiacs so no gluten free buns was really disappointing, and charging $1 extra for a "lettuce bun" which was just pieces of lettuce placed on the top and bottom is comical when she had no other options. Also the kitchen was understaffed so there was bit of a wait but staff handled it well. I just felt bad for our server having to tell us half of what we ordered wasn't available. He was very apologetic, but seems like management needs to do a better job. Overall food is good enough and we live so close that we will likely come back, but they have had issues with being out of things most every time we visit. I will update if things improve!

Google
Great, cozy spot awesome outdoor seating burgers are top shelf off the chart good. The burger pictured is the hangover cure, green chili, egg and plenty of other wonderful things.

Google
Good selection of burgers on the menu. We each picked a burger and split a small fry. It was a lot of food. The tarragon sauce is surprisingly yummy. The burgers were very good. The fries weren't my favorite, most of them were left for the trash. We were here for lunch on a Monday so it was mostly empty and pretty quiet.

Google
Fabulous place. Quality food. Tender, juicy burgers. The French fry sampler with dipping sauces is great. I was very impressed with the flavors on the sauces. We got a salad as the accompaniment for our burgers. It was nice to have a choice of something other than fries and not have to pat for an upgrade. The dressing on tge salad was a hit as well. This is a prime example of doing everything well. Food doesn't have to be expensive and pretensios, but just done consistently well. Add that to the great service and this was a five star experience.

Yelp
The actual burger itself was delicious. I got the one that comes with mushrooms and Brie. My gripe was that the slice of Brie was thicker than the burger patty itself and I had to peel most of the cheese off. I enjoy that I comes with a side salad, but the vinaigrette it's served with was not tasty. Overall my friends and I enjoyed the burgers and would go back, just not for the one with Brie on it.

Yelp
I took a solo day trip to Richmond to visit the Holocaust Museum and was told I should eat somewhere in Cary town. Burger Bach was one of the top rated places on Trip Advisor. When I came in, I was greeted by the host that was super nice. I decided to sit inside and was offered a booth or the bar; I chose a booth. They also offer outside seating but since it was a nice, fall day, it was super crowded. I ordered the strawberry basil lemonade and the north lamb burger with a small dry. The lemonade was not as good as I thought it would be. I am honestly not sure it was real lemonade. It tasted like sour from the bar with strawberry puree and basil. My server asked did I want my burger pink or no pink. I chose pink thinking I'd get medium/medium well. In some spots it almost seemed raw. I didn't finish the burger. I couldn't get past how mushy it seemed because it was so pink. I did enjoy the flavors of the tatziki and garlic aioli. Definitely had potential to be a great burger had it been cooked properly. The Salad that comes with the burgers was good. It's just greens but it has a nice dressing! Their fresh cut fries were amazing. I had those along with their house made manuka honey mustard which was also really good! While I had trouble with the burgers, I'd try this place again to give it another chance! It's a friendly atmosphere with good music, and it is fairly priced!

Yelp
Having driven past this place enough times, I felt like I owed it to myself and the Carytown Gods to finally give it a shot. Unfortunately I wasn't terribly impressed - but understand why other people really enjoy it, so don't let my review get you down! My burger was just okay - perhaps I just ordered the wrong thing for my taste buds, but I almost expected a bit more pop from the toppings/aoili to blend in with the burger. Was a bit let down by the side salad as well, just some lettuce and dressing. I was there alone at the bar and the place was fairly empty so I often felt like the bartender was hovering over/watching me. Anyways... maybe just not my favorite, but has some unique flavor and topping combos for all those burger-loving bros out there, so if this is your place, I say more power to you :)

Yelp
Joined on New Years for lunch after the Cone Parade in Carytown. Service is excellent.

Yelp
Service was good. They were slow at lunch on a Saturday after Xmas. Burger was good. Could have been better if it was cooked to order. Mine and wifes were overcooked, I wanted medium rare. Bun was fresh but cold. A warm bun would have made it softer. Being cold it comes off dry. They have multiple lamb burgers on menu, but were out of lamb. Fries were great but ranch dip was tasteless. It was a good quiet lunch just nothing stood out as great. Nothing really to bring me back.

Yelp
We came in with a reservation and waited ~30 minutes to get our order taken. I ordered the South Lamb burger, which was good. We also got their fries, which were perfectly crispy and fluffy. I'm not sure if it was an off-day but the service was alright, it felt like our party had to wait to longer than expected to flag down our waiter.

Yelp
I'll be honest and say this place wasn't my first choice. I wanted to Carytown but they were closed. Was in the mood for a burger and they had plant based so gave it a shot. The staff was super nice. We were seated quickly. I got a lemon drop martini and it was okay ( I am super picky about my lemon drops lol). The food was delicious! We got a bunch of fries too enough to share between two people. We got a couple of dipping sauces and they were delicious as well. The bathroom was nice and clean. There was plenty of space in the restaurant. I will most definitely eat here again.

Yelp
The service was a little slow, but she was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We had the auklander burger and a large fry with tzatziki sauce and garlic pesto aioli. The burger was fantastic!! It was cooked perfectly and very flavorful and juicy. The sauces were both delicious. The fries were good but wish they had been crispier. It's a great spot for a quick lunch.
google avatar

Yelp
The burger combos go from simple to gourmet. I had the New Plymouth: How can you resist the combination of mushrooms, tarragon, Bri, and bacon. Put it on a burger? Priceless. Staff is super friendly because it's Richmond. Burgers come with a salad so you can feel "less guilt". My one hopeful point of improvement is to stop overdressing the greens. With the dressing is delicious so I will just ask for a mess of it next time.

Yelp
Love this place, sad the others have closed. They have a parking lot for easy parking rather than the street. I always do a make your own burger & it's always great. Their fries and garlic aioli are why I come though. All the servers are great, I often am served by Valerie who is friendly & speedy. I've also had their spinach and their broccoli sides and liked them. The spinach artichoke dip is good too
google avatar

Yelp
We ate at Burger Bach (pronounced "batch") recently and had a great experience. The patio was spacious and the tables aren't too crowded together. I had the Aucklander burger, which was delicious. They cook to temp, and are accurate, so you don't have to worry about temping up or down to get your burger just the way you want it cooked. The fries are exactly what I want in fries. Just the right size and texture, with a little bit of crispness without being overdone. Absolutely perfect. The service was excellent, I was surprised when they brought our food at as quickly as they did. They were also quick with the check, without being pushy, which I appreciate. There's nothing worse than being done and ready to go and waiting 10 minutes for a check to arrive. Very impressed and will definitely go again.

Yelp
I went this past weekend and overall it was good! The food was good and they were able to accommodate a larger crowd which is rare in the area. The staff was not super happy to have a large group so at times we did feel like an inconvenience. I know larger groups can be a lot so I understand so I'll likely try again with a smaller group! I got a chicken sandwich and it was so good!

Yelp
I'm pretty sure the host who seated us was half asleep or on too many depressants - he walked us in a full loop around the empty restaurant until he seated us at a table right at the door. The burger wasn't bad but the fries showed up after we finished our meals. Our server was new, but it wasn't his fault the kitchen was slow. Maybe if it was busy, I'd understand, but the restaurant was a graveyard - there were more servers than tables. Do not recommend

Yelp
Burger Bach was amazingly accommodating for our sports team that came in last week with 20 players and then 20 more parents. They had an excellent place for all of us to be together and not disrupt the rest of the restaurant. Their service was great and the burgers were delicious. I got a blueberry and Brie burger which was nothing like I have ever tasted; in a good way. I love the sweet and savory of the burger. The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was fun to have a variety of sauces to try with the fries, too. We will head back there again next time we are in town for a tournament.

Yelp
Overpriced, bad service, rude waitress... I could write paragraphs... My girlfriend and i won't be coming back. The only thing they have going for them is a nice outdoor space. The burgers are as good as Five Guys.

Yelp
STAY AWAY! I had always wanted to go here due to its reputation and its prime location on Cary St presented an easy opportunity. We got waters and limeades for drinks, had to wait 10 minutes for the waters and 20 for the limeades despite there being less than 10 people in the entire restaurant. We were looking forward to the limeade as a refreshing drink on a hot summer day but were met with a brown drink that had hints of lime and in no way represented a traditional limeade. Disappointing, but I can allow for a restaurant to take a creative take on something. For food, we ordered a burger and fries and split them. After waiting for longer than we should have, a fully cooked burger came out, despite us ordering a medium one. Not only was the burger overcooked, it was incredibly small for the $16 we paid for it. It did not contain fries, those were ordered separately, and was plated with nothing but a fat pile of undressed lettuce. Salt and pepper were on 6 of the 30 outdoor tables, and after asking our server for some with no real acknowledgement we decide to borrow it from a neighboring table since it was unoccupied. As the burgers were delivered, there was no mention from our server that our fries were not ready yet and would be out shortly. Five minutes later, Burger Bach's 'award winning fries' were served. They were without any salt or pepper or seasoning of any type, and made me question if the award was some sort of internal one given by the boss. Overall a bad experience with horrible service and overpriced food.
google avatar

Jordan H.

Yelp
Service was super slow and there was maybe 2 other tables in the restaurant. Our limeades were brown and not good. I could not finish mine. We ordered our burger medium and it came out with zero pink and it was tiny for $16 with no side. The fries were lackluster and flimsy. I also hate that you have to buy the fries and the sauces separately. Way too expensive for what you get. If the service was better then they might have gotten 3 stars, but we waited sooo long for our food and the waitress was not very attentive for there only being 2 other tables in the whole restaurant. We unfortunately won't be back.

Yelp
If I could give this place 0 stars...I don't know what has happened or what the difference is between this location and the others (I'm going to assume the owners??), but holy s***, this place is just BAD. From quality of food, service, to the cleanliness....its a disgrace. My husband and I went recently and it was start to finish a terrible experience. It took literally forever for someone to acknowledge us, another 15 minutes for water, another 30 minutes for our drinks, and then another 30 for our food. Mind you, the restaurant was practically empty and the employees were at the bar/kitchen on their phones doing nothing....worst part is that the food came out cold. I ordered the black bean burger (which I normally LOVE and have had at other locations) and my husband ordered a lamb burger. Overcooked and just bad.. We also noticed other patrons were having the exact same experience, as I noticed several people complaining while we were there. Would NOT recommend and won't return.

Yelp
The service was wonderful! Our waiter was very kind, patient, and knowledgeable. He really made the experience so awesome. The ambiance is typical for a laid back burger place. The food, however, was not the best or worst. It was average. All burgers come with a side salad, which is fine. However, the side salad is not filling at all, but it was delicious. To get fries is extra, which is disappointing. My burger was okay and average. My parents got the burger with lamb and it looked like the lamb patty is not fresh - comes frozen in a box and you heat up on the grill. Honestly, for the price it was a little disappointing. Not sure if I'll be back in the future.

Yelp
Vegan Kaho burger is my favorite! Apple cold slaw portion is small. The greens came pre-dressed with oil; I did not like that. Housemaids limeade is carbonated, & good! Outdoor seating available.

Lucas W.

Yelp
So, so, sooooo good! If you like burgers, please just go here, it's wonderful! The East Coast is undoubtedly their best burger! Service was great, food was 10/10, and the overall vibe is just perfect! Skip the McDonalds and go here, they have to-go!
google avatar

May-May R.

Yelp
The burgers were delicious but lacked flavor/seasonings. Without the seasonings, you could tell it's quality ground beef though. We've dined here before and really enjoyed the chicken sandwiches - such unique combinations. The prices are a little high for what you receive but again, it's definitely quality products. I see a lot of complaints about the service so will include our experience: our server was nice but seemed to be preoccupied. We asked for iced tea and espresso - she said they didn't have any (despite the fact we saw them make an espresso 5 minutes before) and there was some confusion about who was tending to which tables. I personally love other burger places much more around the area but if you are looking for something different and are in the area, swing by and try it for yourself.

Yelp
Burger Bach was the perfect place to celebrate National Cheeseburger Day! It was a beautiful evening, and we enjoyed dining on the lovely patio overlooking Cary Street. I had the Wellington Burger with Gruyere cheese, and it was delicious! Because I'm pregnant, I ordered my burger more well done than I usually do, but I was pleasantly surprised that my burger was still extremely tender and juicy! My husband and I split a large order of Fresh Cut Fries with Smoked Shallot Aioli and Original Sauce for dipping. We enjoyed both sauces, but the Smoked Shallot Aioli was extra tasty! Service was prompt and friendly. We are looking forward to coming back and trying the other burgers that Burger Bach has to offer.
google avatar

Mike M.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the burger. The triple cream blue cheese on the Wellington was awesome. Dips were very good as they provide a variety with a large fry. Fries were a bit bland and needed the malt vinegar on table but they almost tasted bagged and baked surprisingly. Wish there was a custom option to hit some of the unique ingredients like pimento cheese, etc. service was solid.

Yelp
Good food. Lousy service. Poorly managed kitchen. That's about it. Nothing else to say.

Yelp
Stopped by this place a few weeks when traveling to Richmond for the weekend and it was a nice surprise when we were on our way out. My husband and I both got lamb burgers with different toppings. They were so good! Tender and perfectly cooked. Fries were also really good. Highly recommend stopping by. I will say this place can end up being pricey since everything is separate but worth it. I also had a margarita here which was very sour! I couldn't finish it because it was so sour. I would say that the drink wasn't my fav but everything else was.

Cathleen W.

Yelp
Second time coming here.. First time, we waited about half an hour after being seated without any server coming over so we left. Wanted to give them a second chance, so tried again today and got the vibe that we weren't welcome here. Our waiter was okay - didn't check on us until we were done eating. Pretty much every staff member I came in contact with seemed annoyed that we were there. Fries were awesome (warm, crispy) but the burgers that my brother and I got were not great at all. Considering the subpar food and staff that seemed annoyed, definitely won't be coming back.

Kevin H.

Yelp
Ok, so Burger Bach was a fave when we lived here until 2021. Now in town for vacay and went and found the following: - food is always good. South Lamb burger and salad was really good so my rating is a 4. There is, though, more to the story, as is always the case with a restaurant: - the space, particularly the patio, needs attention. Our tabletop was so sticky we had the lay the menus out flat as a table cover because the varnish is coming up. I noted issues with the floor too, as well as the recycled wood ceiling, so I'm asking the management to take note and address this and the general condition of the restaurant. It looks and feels tired and that will have an affect on our decision to return. Not being mean, just honest. We have friends who live on Ellwood a block away who advised us that the restaurant is not what it was and to go elsewhere. But we went anyway because I loved the food and that hasn't suffered like the physical condition and the general energy have. It wasn't lost on us why our friends said what they did. This is just a picky little thing but they also no longer offer fresh squeezed OJ - what a shame because they had the best screwdriver in the city... I've been telling anyone who will listen about that considerable treat and my disappointment was palpable. Oh well - it did not come into play when choosing an overall rating - that wouldn't be fair and I do want to be always fair when reviewing. Anyway, it's still a decent place but I did see why more and more folks are choosing other options in this part of Carytown. I want nothing more than to hear that the Bach has lifted its game to its former heights!
google avatar

Joseph P.

Yelp
Definitely THE BEST burger I have ever had! While I have had phenomenal burgers all over the East coast, Burger Bach serves theirs with a big a flair. That flair, being some unique combinations of toppings and ingredients. Definitely add this burger shop to your list of stops when traveling through Richmond!!!
google avatar

Steve K.

Yelp
I have heard about this place before but never had a chance to stop by, especially with their current location and outdoor seating. I was more than favorably impressed with the entire experience. Myself and two friends sat outside under an umbrella on a day when it was not crazy hot and humid, and that just got better and better as the afternoon went on. Our server was very helpful and nice, the food was just great along with the adult beverages. While there is some street parking, one of the parking decks is like a block away and very inexpensive. Now I will say the burgers are not inexpensive, but they were worth the extra money and make sure you get some fries to go along with the burger. Truthfully, the experience could not have been better, and you can't say that these days dining out so just go.

Yelp
This is definitely a solid spot if you're looking for a more upscale burger experience. Perfectly cooked juicy burgers, great fries, and interesting cocktails, plus outdoor seating and private (small) parking lot in Carytown? What's not to love? I stopped by for lunch with a friend at 12:30 on a Saturday and we were seated immediately. As most people were enjoying the beautiful weather on the patio, inside the restaurant wasn't too busy or noisy. Our waiter gave us plenty of time to chat and look over the menu and never made us feel rushed. We ordered a large fries to share with the garlic aioli and spicy Dijon dipping sauces. We also each got a burger and a cocktail: for me the Aucklander and the Vanilla Bean Bourbon Smash and for her the Queenstown and the Strawberry Basil Lemonade. My cocktail was on the weak side for my preference as I couldn't taste the bourbon, but the flavors were great. The burger was perfect; spot on bun to beef ratio, medium well, creamy guacamole, and the acidity of the dressed green salad balanced out the overall fattiness. Unfortunately there seemed to be some kitchen miscommunication and our friends didn't arrive until we were almost finished our burgers, but they were salty and delicious, especially with the aoili. After tip the bill for 2 burgers, 2 cocktails, and 1 fry was $80, so definitely not cheap eats, but worth the splurge!

Yelp
Went here for lunch. From the time we walked in and we're seated on the patio the staff were enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I had the basic burger and my niece had lamb burger and we split an order of fries with three of their sauces. Patio had a nice breeze. As an aside we did get t-shirts and they are SOFT!
google avatar

Petra D.

Yelp
Unfortunately since the short pump location closed, this is the next closest location to us. When we arrived, there was a booth at the front to the right that appeared to be full of staff belongings and there was no one at the front to greet customers. After the burgers arrived to the table we had to wait an additional 10 minutes or so for our son's food and for our fries. The Mac and cheese was a mess with very overcooked noodles suspended in a congealed cheese sauce. The egg on the hangover cure was over cooked. We ordered a beer with the initial drink order that didn't arrive until well after the food came out. It was obvious the server forgot to ring it in. All in all, the service was weird and not particularly friendly. The kitchen doesn't have their timing figured out. We were one of only three tables seated in an otherwise large restaurant space so this experience was particularly unacceptable.

Yelp
I reserved a section for a friend's birthday party. Initially I was impressed with the restaurant's ability to accommodate my request of 15 guest, however there were a few things that led to me being somewhat disappointed in our overall experience. ***Regardless of my experience as a disclosure I do not endorse on short handing a waitress a tip based on bad service, however the 20% rule is all that I would have considered in this case. Pros: - Esthetically pleasing restaurant for the occasion - Private parking lot - Ability to make reservations - Good food - Ability to bring in outside deserts (cake or cupcakes) - Nice manager (Offered to pay my dry cleaning bill due to the server spilling sauce on me). Cons: - Service (1 server for a table of 15 guest...) - Rude server (Server spilled sauce all over my pants upon setting down my entree and didn't even notice and barely apologized), then at the end of the night said to our table and I quote "I'm sorry, I'm not kicking you all out but do you mind if I grab the receipts because I have to go pick up my kid." *granted we were there past closing about 10:10 PM (but she could have hinted this in a better way, rubbed the whole party the wrong way). Overall; I would recommend this restaurant but not the server hopefully the manager see's this comment and has a talk with her about "her service."
google avatar

Aron L.

Yelp
The raw oysters on the half shell appetizer served to us smelled fetid and had obviously gone bad. While the server apologized and took it off our bill, the incident was glossed over. No explanation was offered and no manager came by. Eating raw seafood comes with inherent risks, but this incident raises serious doubts about food safety and a gap in management oversight/staff training at this location. We will certainly will no longer dine here, but if you decide to eat at this establishment beware.

Yelp
2.5/5 I was disappointed with my experience here. There were many aspects of the menu that I did not like. First, the difference between The Basic and the Basic Deluxe is simply vegetables and mayo. This felt like a cheap menu decision since other burger places don't typically do that. Second, the only buns that're offered are the wheat ones. While they are freshly stocked every morning, they are dry and unflavorful. And third, the fries could not be substituted for the side salad; they can only be ordered separately. Very strange for a place with Burger in the name... Ultimately, my favorite thing about my experience were the fries and ketchup! The fries were cut fresh and well seasoned. And the Organic Tomato Ketchup was a fantastic upgrade over Heinz or Kraft. The service was good and the outdoor patio was spacious. Overall, when I want a burger next, I will not return. But, that doesn't mean it was horrible - just not my favorite option in the city.
google avatar

Yelp
Such a great burger spot - the menu is creative and different, and there's a burger for everyone's tastes. LOTS of Gluten Free, Dairy Free, and Vegan options, too. The Aucklander is a great choice and my favorite on the menu. The portion sizes are also great - these burgers aren't so big you'll leave with a stomach ache. I've found that a burger + sharing a side of fries with your date is the perfect portion. I've had the Aucklander while dining in and delivered - good both ways! The burgers can get a little soggy/cold when delivered, but stay delicious. One of the best things at Burger Bach is their variety of sauces - it's hard to choose! They are great to dip fries in or to add to burgers. I try to save any leftover sauce to use at home too... too good to throw away. My favorites are the Basil Pesto Aioli, Roasted Jalapeno Remoulade, and the Chipotle BBQ. Great outdoor seating and the inside is filled with cool NZ decor. There's always a bunch of dogs hanging out on the patio as well. This place is a GREAT Carytown spot!

Yelp
The worst burger I had in my life. Would have given it no star if I could. We got chicken burger because the beef and lamb are no longer halal. Me and one of my kid got Asian Thai burger, my husband and got Kiwi Chick burger and the other kid got Mac & Cheese. The burger had no taste, extremely dry and smothered with peanut butter and a thick chunk of pineapple. Burger doesn't even comes with fries, they are extra. Mac and Cheese was cold and gummy. Extremely slow service. Not going to return anytime soon.

Yelp
We stopped by Burger Bach on Feb 2nd around 9:00 pm and had the absolutely worst experience ever. We should have known something was up when there were only 2 tables sat in the entire restaurant when there was room for 50. We were greeted right away and that was the last time someone spoke to us. The 3 of us were sat in a booth and given menus. After browsing the menu, we sat and waited... After about 10 mins we noticed not 1, not 2, not 3 but at least 4 individuals around the bar area. One was eating behind the bar. One was just standing around. One was in the kitchen chatting with the others. And the 4th appeared to be doing some type of prep maybe? After 15 minutes of NO service, no acknowledgment, no anything we got up and left. Needless to say, I felt horrible as I had talked to my family into stopping in and grabbing dinner as I have had lunch there several times. However, it was abundantly clear the service at dinner by no means meet the service which you receive at lunch.

Yelp
I just had my first meal at Burger Bach and it was phenomenal. Our waitress was super kind and accomodating and our meal brought our experience to the next level. My partner and I shared a large fry and we got the following sauces: Beer Cheese, Roasted Jalapeno Remoulade, Curry Sauce, Tzaztiki sauce, and Manuka Honey Dijon. All the sauces were delicious, my personal favorite was the Jalapano Remoulade whereas my partner loved the Manuka Honey Dijon. The fries were cooked PERFECTLY, similar to boardwalk fries and I could not stop snacking on them. The Kiwi chick was also delicious! A little heavy on the bbq sauce, but everything played out well! Overall, I would go back when I am craving good fries and a great time (:

Matt L.

Yelp
A family member recommended this spot, and we figured we'd give it a try. Even though it looks like your regular burger joint, the food was awesome! We tried the fries, and they were delicious, especially with the four sauces. The burgers also were delicious, And we're good sized, where we left feeling full. The service was prompt and friendly, and the waiter even made a point to run after some other customers after they left their AirPods behind. Definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
Voted the best burger in Richmond for the last I don't know how many years, yet finally I've made it to Burger Bach. I chose the carytown location as I was taking a Sunday stroller and joining the scenery and found myself in the mood for a burger. Burger Bach is a New Zealand themed burger joint so I decided to try a lamb burger. I had the Southland which comes with a honey mustard vinaigrette and a cilantro sauce they had me at cilantro...

Yelp
Came here on a Friday night with my roommate. Had to wait for a few minutes because we wanted to be seated on the outdoor patio, which was really nice - there is a bocce ball court outside as well. Sat at the bar while waiting and ordered the blood orange cider, which was absolutely delicious. We were seated quickly, but it took a while for our server to come to us. Throughout the night, he was pretty inattentive. The reason we wanted to come to this restaurant was for the gluten free options, as my roommate has an intolerance for it. The menu is very clear as to what is and is not gluten free, along with other dietary options. This makes ordering very easy. I ordered mussels as an appetizer, with a bacon cheeseburger, and sides of mushrooms and fries. The mussels were good, but nothing incredible. The burger was delicious. Juicy and cooked perfectly. The fries were also delicious. Was a little underwhelmed by the additional sauces that they offered and ended up switching back to ketchup. The only part of the meal that I didn't love was the mushrooms. They were cooked fine, but were incredibly garlic-y. Was left with a garlic aftertaste after finishing all of my food. Overall was a good experience, but there are definitely things that could have been better. Will likely return, and definitely recommend if you have certain dietary restrictions.

Yelp
Mmmmmm mmmmmm mmmmmm Burger Bach gets Five Finger licking good stars from me. Their grass fed burgers come from a farm in New Zealand and are topped with an array of tasty toppings. Each burger is served up with a side of mixed greens in a balsamic sauce. If you want fries you have to order them separately. The hand cut fries are delicious and come in a size small or large. The large is huge, you can definitely share it. The best part about ordering fries- the dipping sauces!!! Burger Bach has a ton of great dipping sauces to try like garlic aioli and tzatziki just to name a few. My favorite was the blueberry chipotle barbecue it's truly unique and unlike anything I've ever tasted before. Burger Bach is a must try if you are looking for a great Burger in RVA!!

Yelp
The bloom is off the rose for me. When Burger Bach first opened, I thought it was great. In the years since, including today's visit at the newest location in Carytown, it's really just okay for me. Got one of the lamb burgers and fries. It's just a burger and fries. Truly nothing special. I could most definitely make one better myself. Service was good. Industrial decor--wood and metal--a bit overdone and seen too many times. The patio will be enjoyable and bustling on nice days, I'm sure. The parking lot is weird. Not many spaces, and no door to enter/exit close to it if you're lucky enough to get a spot in the lot.

Yelp
We went late on a Sunday afternoon. I had one of the lamb burgers and my mom had the burger with pimento cheese. We both had a cider that had pomegranate juice. We also ordered the Oysters Rockefeller and and order of fries. We loved the aioli sauce and all of the food was terrific- really the best burgers ever! The server was really helpful and attentive. Definitely going back the next time I'm really wanting a burger.

Yelp
Menu items are very good variety and happy hour beer prices are the best in Midlothian. Staff is friendly and attentive, good management.

Yelp
If you want a good burger this is always a solid choice. They have a basic option or you can try one of their many interesting themed burger options. I love the New Plymouth. I also love that they offer an option of lettuce in place of the bun. Great for gluten free folks. A small fry is always enough for me to share with a friend, and the burgers come with a nice little side salad. In the summer take advantage of the patio and have a seat outside. Let's not forget to mention they off street parking for those who dress parallel parking on Cary Street. So many pluses. Give this spot a try and then you can walk off the calories while you shop in Carytown.

Yelp
O. My. Glory. From the crafted drinks (if you get a chance: VANILLA BEAN BOURBON SMASH ), to the crispy-outside--creamy-inside fries, inventive dipping sauces, & PHENOMENAL burgers (oh that East Coast.....Lord!), you will NOT be disappointed! So happy we found this gem while wandering. Total fluke. In from out of town for a funeral, & we happened upon this place. Marvin, our server, was amazeballs! He was attentive & had great suggestions. When I'm back in RVA, I'm back here. Period.
