Amazing burgers for the price! I really like how they have multiple delivery locations in case you don't want to idle around the building, such as the bar across the street or the business behind them! They ran out of fish sandwiches when i got there, so I had the chicken teriyaki burger instead. That was a really good burger cuz I love the smokiness as well as the marinade on it!

Google
If it hasn’t been voted Best Burger in Ketchikan then I will gladly give it that designation. We were having drinks across the street and ordered a burger. They brought it to us at the bar which was amazing service. The burger was really good and prepared very well. We had one order of fries and it was enough for two people. Most bars don’t serve food so places like Burger Queen in Ketchikan are always an amazing option for quality and service.

Google
Amazingly great food! I stop in for 1 or 2 every time I'm in Ketchikan, Nestled up against a fern covered cliff the cozy restaurant's aroma can be smelled for at least a mile! Which explains why they are always busy! I waited about 5 minutes enjoying the sunlight and ocean view while they made my burger from scratch.

Me and my cousin came across this small eatery while on a cruise of the Alaskan coastline. We ordered the halibut fish and chips and it turn out be an amazing! Probably the best fish and chips I’ve eaten. Definitely a recommendation for anyone passing by Ketchikan via a cruise!

Google
This is hands down the best burger place in Ketchikan!! Did you know the blue cheese dressing is homemade? I get the same thing every time, 2 burger patties covered in cheese with extra crispy bacon, plus 2 sides of blue cheese.

Google
Dear fellow burger enthusiast. I once flew to Ketchikan solely to get a burger from Burger Queen. I am thrilled to say I had an exceptional experience at Burger Queen! Their delicious menu options are delightful. Allow me to craft a positive and eloquent review, highlighting their delectable burgers: Situated amongst the staggering beauty of downtown Ketchikan, Burger Queen truly stands out as a gem in the culinary world. Upon indulging in their magnificent creations, it becomes evident that they are, without a doubt, home to the best burgers on this planet. One of the pinnacle delights among their extensive menu is the Hawaiian burger, creatively composed with a savory combination of ham and pineapple. The succulent sweetness of the pineapple dances harmoniously with the irresistible smokiness of the ham, truly tantalizing the taste buds. This culinary masterpiece is a testament to the innovative vision of Burger Queen's chefs. Another notable highlight is the Sriracha bacon burger, impeccably complemented by the savory strips of bacon. This flavorful duo accentuates the bold kick of the iconic Sriracha sauce, resulting in an extraordinary taste adventure that leaves a lasting impression. For those seeking a more sophisticated culinary experience, the Seattle burger gracefully presents itself. With perfect harmony, the earthy notes of mushrooms elegantly unite with the creamy Swiss cheese. The freshness of the lettuce and tomato adds a wonderful textural contrast, completing this delightful burger symphony. Not to be forgotten, the toasted buns at Burger Queen add a delightful crispness, enhancing the overall satisfaction of each mouth-watering creation. Additionally, the carefully crafted Thousand Island dressing offers a creamy and tangy zing, elevating the flavor profile to an entirely new level. Ultimately, Burger Queen undoubtedly reigns supreme when it comes to creating heavenly burgers. Their commitment to excellence shines through in every meticulously crafted masterpiece. Exceptional flavor combinations and attention to detail make this establishment a true culinary paradise. So, dear gastronomic explorer, I encourage you to embark on a journey to Burger Queen. Prepare to be amazed, as you savor the best burgers known to humankind. Be prepared to indulge your senses and experience a culinary nirvana unlike any other.

Google
I tried this place a week ago and it’s was the best thing I ever ate in my life but I ordered a cheeseburger and a bacon cheeseburger today under the name of Benny and it was just really pink and it didn’t taste right or cooked I really like this place and it must have been just a bad day I tried to call but they are closed now hopefully next time I go we can work something out

Stu F.

Yelp
Had the cheeseburger with everything. It was much better than the one we had in Anchorage that rated like 4.5 Hand pressed and fresh meat not frozen

Dawn B.

Yelp
The place looks like exactly what I would enjoy (fresh and local) but the food was just kinda lack luster. Burger was a large size for 12 but lacked flavor. It did take about a half an hour to get our food. I was quite disappointed in The halibut I realize it is a burger place but the fish was so large and perfect looking, it was so sad to see it so overcooked. It was corn (not beer or tempura) style battered. I ate only half a piece. There were flies literally Everywhere and very few places to sit. The ..owner? Was so cranky and yelling at patrons and his staff. It was very strange. I watched a woman get berated as the owner confused her name Then after 30' seconds claim staff drank her milkshake? I at first thought, well this is local and funny but only took a few minutes to realize that is just how it is.

Eric B.

Yelp
It's been 5 years and still a ritual for me. I always get the Halibut Sandwich and a Chocolate Malt... last year I stopped by and they were out of Halibut. I love that this place is a local joint. I love that you're ordering at the window and eating at a picnic table in a gravel parking lot that might hold 2, mane 3 cars. Seek out the local joints. That's where you'll find the treasures and that's how you'll really support the local economies. You'll be glad you did. Love this joint.

Chi N.

Yelp
The food was amazing. 1/2 halibut. Salad. Fries. Garlic bread. Delish. They delivered to the Artic Bear, which was an amazing bar nearby. Highly recommend.

Samantha L.

Yelp
Takeout and delivery only, although there are 2 picnic tables out front/in the parking lot. It's a very unassuming spot but I was pleasantly surprised by my halibut sandwich. The fish was nice and crispy with shredded cheddar cheese (odd choice), tartar sauce and onion on a sesame bun. My friend ordered a cheeseburger and milkshake which she said was a great burger. Since it's windows order, the service consists of someone bringing your paper bag of food out to you. Fine by me.

Nichole B.

Yelp
The best burgers on the island! Fast service and delicious. Helpful employees who help with suggestions on what to order

Ryan P.

Yelp
Great burger. Space/ambiance is non existent. Go across the street to eat. Prices reasonable, would recommend.

Nancy M.

Yelp
The Yelp reviews brought us here and as usual helpers did not disappoint. The food is as good as everyone has said. Do not plan to get comfortable, however. There is no indoor seating, just two wooden picnic tables outside and of course a consistent flow of customers because the food is so good! We had to wait about 25 minutes for our food but the young lady disclosed that when we were ordering, which I appreciated very much!

Mike A.

Yelp
Burger Queen has only two picnic tables. Mainly carryout. Not fancy The positive is they have great flame broiled hamburgers. If you don't like that flavor better pass. I loved it. The workers are pretty interesting themselves but very friendly.

Owen W.

Yelp
Me and my friend got milkshakes. They're really good. The lady there was nice. The milkshake there is only 6$. They have a little wooden burger out front.

Carl R.

Yelp
They make some pretty good burgers. It took about 15 minutes to get my burger and fries, and the line was pretty long to order. The bars in the area do not serve food, so they send everyone here. You can take your food and bring it to the bar to eat. There is not enough seating for people to eat outside. Just a few picnic tables. The "burger b$$$" (says it on his shirt) was fun to watch. He told me he was tired of looking at me and said he will get my order ASAP. He knew everyone was waiting awhile. His comments were not something you would hear from any restaurant but that's what made the restaurant stand different. Memorable to say the least. I would consider going back. Especially since the bars surrounding offer $3.50 for all beers. You can take your food to the bar and drink cheap.

Chris B.

Yelp
I stayed in Ketchikan for a week and enjoyed all types of food and adventures. Burger Queen was hands down the best meal I had while there. Yes I had king crab, Dungeness crab, and halibut. I don't even know how to describe the burger, it has a very unique flavor and it's amazing. Every local I talked to said I had to try it, they were spot on. When you order, you go to the bar next door and grab a drink. They will bring you your burger at the bar. The bar was cool too. Ran by a guy from NY (at least he sounds like he is) and just a cool atmosphere.

Roger L.

Yelp
This place was recommended by our Oceana Cruise Director so we thought we would give a try. Ordered their cheeseburger and fries and we're not disappointed. Burgers were tasty, fresh, made to order and delicious. Don't let the outside fool you because although there isn't much seating but it's well worth it. You can always take it to go and sit across the street at one of the birth port areas before you board. Definitely would return next time we're in Ketchikan.

Mackenzie H.

Yelp
This is a great place to get your burger fix! They are hands down the best burger in town

Jay C.

Yelp
Good burger for a fair price. But best deal is I believe Wednesdays happy hour before 6pm at The Asylum(the bar next door) I think it's $10 for burger and beer which is a screaming deal considering how expensive Ketchikan is.

Scott B.

Yelp
What can I say-the location is difficult at best. The burgers are good but the affects are not so good. Recommend avoiding.

Phil N.

Yelp
This is a order at the window place. Good burger with some options. They have like a million shake flavors. There is a lot of places like this in small town USAs everywhere. They are all awesome. This is Ketchikan's version and they have good add ons and such. Right now, with Covid, they have one table outside. Ordinarily, they have a few inside. Very common to take your burger next door to the beer bar which has a acknowledged symbiotic relationship with the joint.

Mariah L.

Yelp
Best burgers in town, no question. Amazing milkshakes and onion rings. This place would rival anywhere down south. Their delivery has been out for about the last year so I can't eat there as much anymore, but when I can, I'm excited to.

Alexandra R.

Yelp
I AM SO SAD THIS PLACE IS SO FAR AWAY FROM WHERE I LIVE! my husband and I stopped in during a Ketchikan port stop, where we mostly hopped around checking out the town and local food and drink. Since we were making a few stops, we just shared a milk shake and a burger. The milkshake was probably one of the best milkshakes I've ever had. We went with a Coffee Toffee combination, which the girl at the counter then informed us was her favorite. It was SO good. Thick, incredibly flavorful. It came out before the burger and was almost gone by then, it was so good. (Thisnis why there is no picture of it. Oops.) We ordered the basic cheeseburger, which was definitely good. Not the BEST burger I've ever had, but if I lived here I would totally be a regular. The combination of toppings were really great and a little less typical with their homemade thousand island dressing. As I'm posting the picture I also remembered what a great but this burger had. It was so soft and tasted really fresh! Normally the bun is more of a vehicle for burger delivery as far as I'm concerned, but this one really added something to the burger. A lot of other things on the menu looked really great as well! It's a small operation with a few tables inside and two picnic tables outside, but you can also order delivery to the Asylum bar right next door, which has incredibly cheap local beer on draft. (Do yourself a favor and go to Burger Queen first because we made the mistake of doing the bar first and had to smell the amazing smells coming from next door the whole time we sat outside!)

Alysha W.

Yelp
We ate here because pretty much every local business around doesn't serve food but you can get it delivered from here. They have a few tables inside and two picnic tables outside. We decided to get the halibut basket which came with fries and I got a cupcake shake. The halibut and the shake were both good but not the best I've had. That being said all the locals say this is the best food there sooo give it a try.

Zach K.

Yelp
This place is a Ketchikan staple. I work on a ship that ports here every week, and I wouldn't dare miss getting my weekly burger fix. Reasonably priced and always tasty. Pairs perfectly with their bomb milkshakes that come in about 100 different flavors. The best part is THEY BRING YOUR FOOD OVER TO THE BAR NEXT DOOR OR ACROSS THE STREET. Nothing better than calling an order in, downing a couple of shots and then having a burger and shake hand delivered to you. Its almost like magic when that burger shows up and you are so drunk you forgot you ordered one in the first place. I'd also be lying if I said I didn't drop a shot or two of whiskey into my vanilla butterscotch shake from time to time. GO BE A KING AT BURGER QUEEN!!

Cher R.

Yelp
Awesome tasting burger! Fries and rings were simply delicious! Great food after a tour!

Miranda W.

Yelp
Awesome burgers but what is really mouth watering good are the onion rings!!!! Service is slow but good food is worth waiting for - a good idea is always calling the order ahead of time. Top it off with a shake and it's a great "cheat day" meal!

Dave S.

Yelp
Expensive for what it is. This is a good stand only with no place inside to sit. A couple picnic tables outside but given Ketchikan's climate don't count on them. You can take your food to the bar across the street with no issue. The halibut sandwich and halibut fish and chips were good but a little pricey. What in Alaska is not pricey? The cruise ship crew waiting raved about the burgers. There were a lot of crew members getting food and our wait was 45-50 minutes. They must be doing something right to drive that demand.

Norman J.

Yelp
When placing an order I asked the person taking my order how long would it take 10 minutes? She said it would 20-25 minutes. After 40 minutes I asked through the screen to those in the back how long my order would be, he said "ask at the window, not to #_%?@ off the cook! I said to him that's poor service and continued to wait at least 50 minutes and never got my food! I figured with his attitude that I would never get the food or they would defile it with body fluids! In effect they stole my money and waisted an hour of my time. Keep clear of this place, it's a DIVE anyway ! They have a sticker that says Yelp loves them, Yelp?

John C.

Yelp
Excellent Burgers! Go to the Asylum, have a $3.50 draft beer (30 on tap) and order your food from Burger Queen while at the Asylum. They will deliver it to you.

Jin C.

Yelp
Unfortunately, Ketchikan is short on good dining options. Burger Queen is appropriately named in that it stands head and shoulders above the competition. Fair warning: unless you call your order in, you're looking at up to a 30 minute wait time during peak hours. The service is friendly and their burgers rank amongst some of the best I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and put this joint at the top of your list of places to eat in Ketchikan. I promise you won't regret it.

Dustin E.

Yelp
OH WOW! The entertainment director on our cruise said DO NOT miss Burger Queen!! We obeyed and are super glad we did! I jumped in our way back to the ship and got a couple of burgers to go. Got back on the ship, through security went up to a bar and sat down to eat. Our burgers were still warm, hot even. Wrapped in foil. Very nice!! OMG, they were LEGIT! Princess has terrible food, so this was the best meal we had on the ship. Seriously. Burger Queen ROCKS!

Caitlin B.

Yelp
Never left burger queen unhappy. Great food and good value, a great place for a bite to eat

Rich N.

Yelp
This is by far a top 10 burger. Will definitely have a couple more while I am here. The Abyss bar next door has a Burger Queen and a beer special an Wednesday night from 530p to 630p.

Julie D.

Yelp
When ever I travel I always look for a great local burger and Burger Queen is by far one of the best I have had! Cute little unassuming building past the tunnel in Ketchikan, nestled near quite a few little bars. The customer service was excellent, they suggested that if I wanted a cocktail while I waited they would deliver my food to me at The Asylum. To my surprise Burger Queen had actually just cooked dinner for the whole bar! Swedish meatballs and noodles. That was quite the treat. My food came pretty fast and was awesome! I look forward to my next trip to Ketchickan to stop by and have another burger!

Brady H.

Yelp
I was in Ketchikan for a week of work. I walked from Ketchikan Plaza, near where I was staying, to downtown, and stopped in on my way back. The service was really quick, and the server/cashier/hostess/Comedienne was refreshing. Needless to say I walked 20 minues to Burger Queen the next 6 days and tried everything I could on the menu!! The Coffee Toffe milkshake was AMAZING!

Edmund Z.

Yelp
After eating seafood for days on a cruise, this burger was truly a blessing. The convenient location made the place easy to find, but the burger would have to take 15-20 minutes. The amount of time each addition to the burger is dedicated really shows off the Alaskan quality. Everything melted together in my mouth as if it was meant to be, leaving me with a lasting impression. Pros: -Convenient location -3rd best burger I've had to date -The fact this blessing is in Alaska Cons: -Expensive side FINAL RATING: 4.7 stars (rounded to five stars)

Camy K.

Yelp
Probably the best burger place in town. The service was acceptable however the food was not of very high quality. They made nice fried halibut for the fish burger however everything else in the burger was store bought and just did not go well together. They offer a wide variety of milk shake flavors but all from run of the mill flavoring. If you're craving a burger while you're in town then this is the place to go. But for tourists visiting from out of town. This place is not worth a visit.

Jacqueline S.

Yelp
We came here on a tour guide recommendatiom and got the veggie burgers. They're delicious! It's actually veggies on the burger, as opposed to veggies processed into a patty (genius! Lol). The fries are nice and crispy. We had a toasted marshmallow milkshake which was awesome. We waited awhile for the food, but it was worth it.

Kekoa-Joaquin F.

Yelp
Little update! This place has never given me a reason to be disappointed. Great service & Super friendly staff.

Tracy Y.

Yelp
Definitely a must in Ketchikan. I had the halibut with side salad. Fish was fresh and breaded nicely and the salad was so fresh.

Jessorie S.

Yelp
If i could eat here everyday, i would! The homemade thousand island on the cheeseburger is absolutely amazing! I always recommend this place to my customers when they're looking for a good burger spot!

Gary L.

Yelp
Burger was very good! I had the BBQ Western, fries and a shake. I will definitely visit again. I would also recommend this place to anyone from out of town as the food is limited here in Ketchikan.

Myrth J.

Yelp
Having a good cold beer at the Asylum and ordered a Burger and Halibut and fries. Excellent all the way around!! Love the Owner, between Himself and Carlos they will make u laugh! A must when in KTN!!

Carol W.

Yelp
Had a Bacon cheeseburger with fries delivered. Best & biggest burger I have ever had. Loved every bite & could only eat

M M.

Yelp
Burgers and onion ring are amazing, fries and shakes are good. A "small" burger is really big and the larger burger is huge, even my Husband found he only needed the smaller size especially if he wanted sides or a shake. The place could be a little cleaner and it'd be nice if the kitchen staff wore gloves and masks, but other than that the place is great. The food is always freshly made so you can expect a bit of a wait if you don't order 10-20 mins ahead.

Tony P.

Yelp
Thought I had found the perfect burger joint on our cruise... But I was mistaken. I found the most inappropriate business in the entire state of Alaska! As we waited for our food, we heard constant cussing coming from the tiny kitchen. A bit inappropriate with the families waiting. But once we were eating then we hear comments such as"little fag*ot" from the kitchen. We decided it's time to leave, on my way out I decided to talk to who's in charge about the cussing and comments. Was told the individual making these comments is the one in charge! Shocking a small business owner would be so vile! Bought the Burger bitch t shirt and will now use it to pick up my dogs sh!t with it. Very disappointing

Kevin C.

Yelp
It they don't think your order is important enough they will cook their friends orders 1st. Some people make it hard to support local when they put your order in last after your order was in 1st. This has happened to me and my family a few times and I keep hoping it will get better each time we go and it never does. So this last time may have well be our last time eating there.

Sandy W.

Yelp
I am stupid. I went to Burger Queen and got the Seattle burger instead of the halibut burger. Don't get me wrong, the Seattle burger was a darn good burger. But the halibut burger was simply amazing. We stopped by Burger Queen on an Alaskan cruise in July. I read all of the reviews before going. Get the halibut burger, get the halibut burger, get the halibut burger. We're in Alaska, of course I'm going to get the halibut burger. I can get a regular burger anywhere. We walked in and my husband (who was reluctant to go with me cause he didn't think a little burger place would be that memorable) turns to me "2 halibut burgers right?" Then I start wavering..."well, if you're going to get the halibut burger, I should get something different so we can try two things." After going back and forth, we ordered: 1 halibut burger, 1 Seattle burger, order of fries, order of onion rings, white Reese's milkshake. I should mention here that the staff was very friendly. I took a bite of my Seattle burger...this is a really good burger. The reviews were right. Then I try my husband's halibut burger. OMG, can I get another bite? I tried to steal as many bites as I could of his. I really should have just ordered another one...it was that good. Probably the best halibut burger I've ever had. Even my husband was impressed. Yep, I was right again...it happens a lot :). Onion rings were really good, fries were okay. Milkshake was also really good. We had read a lot of reviews saying that they would deliver to Arctic Bar across the street. We had planned on doing that, but they did have a few tables at Burger Queen so we opted for that instead. Wherever you decide to eat it, just go here. Yum.

David H.

Yelp
This is a small fast food king of place, most likely a mom and pop. Their halibut sandwiches were amazing as well as their onion rings. We had 2 lunches at this place while in Ketchikan and one of those meals was our final meal in Alaska before flying home.

Sarah-Anne M.

Yelp
THIS PLACE HAS THE BEST BURGERS IN THE WORLD! Literally, the best burgers in the world. Two years in a row, I've found myself in Alaska (a long way from England) and absolutely overjoyed to be heading to Burger Queen. I've introduced many people to it, always telling them it's the best in the world and I have never had one person argue with me. The Seattle burger is my favourite, with onion rings and fries of course as they are an absolute must... Also, you've got to have a milkshake, they unbelievable. I usually prefer to order Burger Queen over the phone from the Arctic Bar across the road and have the 'Burger Bitch' (actual job title) deliver so I can wash it down with a beer but then one time I was in a rush so I went in to order there and grabbed a milkshake whilst I was waiting...amazing. Worth the trip all the way from England, if you ever get the opportunity, you have to go! Have one for me!

Melissa W.

Yelp
Don't be deceived by its appearance Burger Queen is this tiny unassuming building. If you didn't see the sign you might miss it, which would be a shame. The food took a half hour to cook, but they have an arrangement with the bars next door where you get can an adult beverage while you wait (not a bad thing). The bar across the street (sorry, can't remember the name) where we waited had outdoor seating, and we could look at the harbor and bald eagles. Burger Queen's burgers didn't disappoint. They are huge, charbroiled and tasty! We have good beef in the midwest US, so that is saying something. The large fries easily fed the three of us and were nicely crisp. I had a huckleberry shake that was amazing. It is along the waterfront and outside of the main ships area, but it's worth it.

Gail P.

Yelp
Shame on the previous Yelp-er for throwing disdain on this quaint little place. Just like there is a Hodad's in San Diego-where everyone raves about their hamburgers and fries-and stands in line for hours to get in-so there is Burger Queen in Ketchikan. Wandering around town with my son with some time to kill, we stumbled upon the restaurant and I recall hearing some cruise ship employees saying how good the food was. Well-leave it to those indentured world travelers to know where the good chow in town is! I ordered the Halibut-and-Chips since that's my favorite fish. My boy had his usual Cheese Burger and Fries! OMG-maybe it's that fresh Alaskan air or the fact that we were both happy to get rid of our sea (cruise) legs but that food was GOOD! The halibut was perfectly fried-not greasy or burned but supremely delicious and the burger was astronomically fantastic too. After wards, full of renewed vigor and our stomachs happily filled, we were able to go tackle the stairs over at Creek Street. Tourists have a duty to try new things when they go traipsing all over a town and this is a good example of getting away from the usual tourist traps and trying some authentic food. I say: Don't miss this place and make a run for it when you walk that plank down into town-it can get busy and crowded!
