Definitely not what I was expecting. I thought it was a walk up burger spot. It’s more like a bar with great food. Burgers and chicken served inside of tortillas. Lots of specials that change weekly. It’s dark inside with lots of great decor and memorabilia. The employees were friendly and helpful. They offer homemade limoncello. Events during the week like trivia night, karaoke and bingo. There is the main entrance and a takeout entry on opposite ends of the parking lot. The burgers were really good. I got the chile burgeritto. The chile was very good and had no beans in it. The chopped onions go great with it. The fries were good, but very salty. We also got the fries with gravy and cheese. Those didn’t have as much salt and were great. The onion rings were just ok, nothing special. I definitely had a good first experience.

We have been visiting for over 3 years and unfortunately this place has gone downhill. $20 for a tiny small wrap & fries. I got the caesarito yesterday & there was only a few pieces of lettuce in it, and very hard chicken strips with no meat in them. We had also ordered 2 sides of fries because we didn’t realize the sandwiches came with it. It would’ve been nice for the waitress to just let us know, as it was only the 2 of us and we ordered 2 sides of fries. $70 for lunch (2 sandwiches & 2 sides of fries) was very disappointing

First time here with my family of 7 for lunch. The service was very good and friendly. The atmosphere was great, plenty of seating. We had all different items on wraps including the bacon, egg and cheese which was excellent. Total bill was not bad at all. 150 for all of us including drinks. ( Non Alcohol ) Would absolutely return and recommend

Great food! Great service! We absolutely savored our burgers in tortillas today. The BBQ special had a unique and tasty sauce. Fries and Onion Rings were also top-notch. We will be back!

I have never had chili this delicious in my entire life, and I never liked it until tonight. I bought it for my husband and decided to take a bite, and I could not stop eating it! Thank you for changing my mind about meat and chili! Delicious! My compliments to your chef, your bartender, Erin, and I will make this my favourite newtown go to place from now on! Absolutely love! My friend and I stopped on the way back from a roadtrip and it was the perfect place. The relaxed vibes, the service, and food was all top tier. Very pleased with our stop here!

This place is amazing all around! The food is always hot and delicious, the staff always blows me away with their kindness and attentiveness and the atmosphere is cool, I love the posters and memorabilia on the walls!

Super rude staff and Incompetent of doing their job. I’ve been to a lot of places and made a lot of awesome reviews, However, this is not the case here. Because of how the staff treats Customers and their lack of Customer service to even make an easy meal. I do not recommend this place for food and I will not ever be giving this company another chance. Main meal was okay at best but we paid extra for fries because they don’t come with your meal, and they were soft and gross. They don’t deserve my customer service as well as yours that’s for sure But don’t just take my review as reason. Check out The lack of customer service on the rest of their reviews!! If you can take some time and check out the rest of the reviews I have done for other companies. There have been so many places that have been incredibly awesome and spectacular to eat at. I find a hole in the wall places to eat and give them a chance to win my stomach over. Honestly, it’s easy to make a decent meal and to be nice to someone. That’s all it takes for me to give you good ratings!!

This was the find of the year! Went on a whim for take out once I went in, I decided to stay and I'm thrilled I did! The server/bartender Erin was genuinely passionate about everything from the history of the building, the food and the drinks. She was incredibly informative. I'm looking forward to music bingo and Trivia. Might even give karaoke a go! The food was fresh, fast and flavorful. I ordered the buffalo chickeritto. It was devinely crunchy and tasty. Fries cooked to perfection. And I know this is going to sound strange .. but the pickle! Furthermore, they have house made limoncello and sambuca. DO NOT miss a try! Stop drop and go go go!!! Seating is limited.

Definitely an interesting place. Chose it based on reviews and proximity to the highway while we were driving through the area. Service was excellent as the bartender/waiter was super friendly. I had a chili burger which is served on a soft tortilla but it's wrapped in aluminum foil so it wasn't that messy. Came with a ton of fries. Everything was tasty. Son liked the buffalo mac and cheese and husband liked the Big Mac burger. Glad we picked a good place to eat. The only downside was the price. Pretty high for burgers. With all the good burger places around, not sure if these are worth the extra cost...

Stopped here on our way driving across the state. We were intrigued by the name and menu items and loved that it's an old railroad station. It is very cool inside with movie posters and a fun decor. Our waitress was very pleasant, and service was good. We had the quesadilla, Mickey D's Big Mac burgeritto, and the chili cheese fries (served in a bread loaf pan - loved it!). Everything was very tasty. Great experience!

cute little place in center of newtown i've heard of this place for years, but never pulled the trigger. I was surprised how large it was inside. Very nice antique Newtown style food was pretty good. Never had a burger on a burrito before pretty cool concept.

Burgerittoville is a burger restaurant that opened in Newtown, Connecticut in August 2005. It was founded by restaurateur Joseph Rebecco Jr. The origins of the restaurant go back to 2000 when Rebecco owned the Skybox Cafe in Fairfield. On one snowy night, all Rebecco wanted was a cheeseburger. He threw a burger patty on the grill and topped it with American Cheese. Unfortunately, Rebecco soon came to the realization that he was out of hamburger buns. Frantically, he grabbed a flour tortilla, put the burger inside and filled it with diced tomato, lettuce, bacon crumbles and tomato-mayo. His new culinary creation tasted delicious and pretty soon customers began requesting "that burger thing". Some called it the "burger tortilla" or the "burger burrito", but pretty soon everyone was calling it the "Burgeritto"! Rebecco copyrighted the name and came up with the idea to open a new restaurant that specialized in the tasty treat. By 2005, he and his wife Amy opened up "Burgerittoville" at the old Newtown Train Station. Aside from the titular menu item, Burgerittoville also serves "Pittsburghers", hotdogs, quesadillas, wings, chili, salads, fries, shakes & malts, and an enormous selection of craft beer and hard cider. I recently visited Burgerittoville for lunch with my wife and son while we were driving through Newtown. After looking over the menu, I decided to order a "Pittsburgher" which is choice of protein (I ordered cheeseburger) served on thick Italian bread and topped with fries and coleslaw. Now that's what I call a sandwich! My wife ordered the "Buffalo Chickeritto" (tenders dipped in spicy Buffalo sauce wrapped with lettuce, tomato, and blue cheese dressing) with fries and a pickle. Our son ordered the "Cheese Quesadilla" off of the Kids Menu with some fries and a cup of milk. To drink, my wife ordered a Strawberry Milkshake and I ordered a Minty Molar Milkshake. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their lunch. We also really loved the interior of the old train station as well as the decor. We even talked to Rebecco for a few minutes and he was very friendly. Afterwards we visited Cave Comics which was conveniently located next door. We'll definitely be back!

Still give them a good rating as their food is very good. However, price changes will prevent me from eating here in the future. Burgerito was $8.50 now $11.25 Chili was $7.00 now $10.25 These are 32% and 46% increases....yikes. These two with tax are over $23. Can buy a much better meal for $23. Just sayin.

Was in the area for an appointment and I was starving lol I was craving a burger, which is rare, not too big on burgers. Found this spot on Google. Its a pretty cool looking place. I ordered the Burgeritto. Minus the tomatoes and Mayo. I added ketchup and pickles. It was really good. I never had a burger in a wrap. I really enjoyed it. Seems to be lighter than the average bun. The patty itself was very flavorful. I loved the crumbled bacon. I prefer that then the strips. The only thing I'd like more of is the American cheese. I had to open the wrap up to see if there was any in there. Staff was nice and helpful. Over all loved it. Will def return with friends.

Friday night trivia at Burgerittoville! Friday night here is trivia night and its a blast! This little place is a rebuilt train car! The decor is eclectic with movie posters, celebrity autographs, and beer can collections! The booths are roomy enough for 5 or 6 adults but not too big for 2. The staff is super friendly, making you feel at home. We started with drinks, of course! A painkiller, (in which my friend ordered a second) and a mexican vacation- rumchata, kalua, malibu toped with toasted coconut. We got chips and queso. The chips came in 2 bowls for easy sharing and the queso was absolutely delicious! Probably the best aive ever had!! We both ordered the Crunch Burgeritto, inspired by Bobby Flay's burger palace. Its a burger, in a wrap with thousand island dressing and potato chips. It was pretty tasty. The burger is thin, though and cooked well done. I was curious as to why they dont use loose meat, easier to mix in and fills the wrap better. But it was good and the fries were crispy and delicious. I saw ribs pass by that looked delish. And we meant to get the fried dough sundae for dessert, but got so caught up in (losing at) trivia, that we forgot!! Next time we have to give the shakes a try! Cant waiit to come back, maybe for karaoke!

Busy Friday night so the bar staff was extremely busy and a little slow at first to take my order. But food came out super quick.

First visited burger Burgerittoville over 15 years ago when in the area visiting another local business. (long before I was on Yelp.). Was driving through the area this week and stopped in for lunch. It has expanded tremendously since my last visit with a complete bar and expanded seating area. The food as usual was excellent honestly surprised by how few reviews this location has given its long history in the community. the basic concept is hamburgers in a wrap versus on a bun. As well as many other options wrapped I have never had a bad meal here and I would recommend it for anybody traveling on 84 is a great place to stop and for anyone who can take the time to drive to new town to support a great small town restaurant.

Unassuming from the outside. Expected it to be just a take away window with little else. But it is in an old railroad station and once you are inside your jaw will drop. Full bar and weird menu. Great service and late hours which is rate for the area. Worth the stop

Wow! This place is a MUST try!! First of all, super eclectic location. An old train station! Came here with my husband because we wanted to try something different in Newtown. Step inside and it brings you to a flashback of the 90s and before. Pure nostalgia if you can relate! The service is excellent! The staff are very friendly. The food is bomb.com good!!! I really like their idea of a burger but in a burrito! They have other entrees as well, but if you're in the mood for a burger, go for their ritto's. Everything was cooked to perfection. The perfect bite into the ritto, and it was so juicy! I'm a milkshake girl, and their variety of milkshake flavors was hard to choose from because ALL of the flavors sounded amazing! I was craving bananas at the time, so I ordered their specialty milkshake: Banana Foster. Oh emmmm geeee!!! Perfect whipped blend of sliced bananas, peanut butter, caramel and vanilla ice cream! I even loved the fact that it was in a tall glass, and they gave you the metal mixing cup they blended it in! Which means free refills until that cup was empty! There was more than enough! This place definitely hit the spot!!! Definitely coming back to try other menu items!

My husband and I needed lunch after a very hot day at the Elephants Trunk flea market, and we are SO GLAD we found this spot! Decor and styling was great, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Their extensive beer list included my favorite import that I haven't been able to find in YEARS (Schneider Weisse) and our food was delicious and fresh. I had a Cajun chicken Burgeritto and my husband went for a Classic Hamburgeritto- both were perfect. We can't wait to come back!

One of the best queso dips I have ever had. Creamy spice cheese with veggies and chunks of chorizo. The bartender doubled as our waiter he was pleasant and super attentive. The restaurant is a old train depot so it's small but adorable. I will definitely be going again. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars it is a over priced my queso was $19.

Prices are high, first time there. Ordered "Grandma's meatloaf" and vanilla milk shake. Not bad, but not worth over thirty dollars oh and the coffee cup full of Cole slaw - tasteless. Parking and wait staff (bartender) ok. Will I go back, nah - and NO Wi-Fi!

Late lunch, so tried this fast casual spot with friends. You can sit and eat on the side where you order at the counter, or seat yourself in the 'bar' area (relatively new) for full service food. There is also a patio to sit outdoors if you like. Overall I give a 3.5 rating with an average meal ~$10pp. Cool idea that every burger/sandwich is a 'wrap' in a tortilla, stuffed with tasty fillings. I ordered the Steakaritto with grilled sliced beef, American cheese and onions served with horseradish sauce and lettuce, very good. Also tried their all meat chili, tasty as a side or meal, served with shredded cheese and a dollop of sour cream. Just know if you want to add some hot sauce, it's an extra charge for a small side. Finally, shared an order of chili fries, plenty to have as a starter or side with your 'ritto' sandwich. Overall a solid place that has been serving special tortilla wrapped meals. If you like the idea, check it out, enjoy!

As soon as you walk in the door you're greeted like old friends. The ambiance is cozy and laid back, extra large booths invite you to stay awhile. The food elevates this review to 5 stars: everything was SO good. If you haven't been, you're missing out

I pulled up to Burgerittoville and saw their signs referencing to call in my order for curbside pickup. Or call for a reservation for eating inside. The food was so damn good. My fiance got the Chilli Burgeritto he ate the whole entire thing in one sitting. I cannot tell you the last time he finished all his food. He normally eats half his food and finishes it off the next day. I ordered from the specials and got a mashed potato quesadilla with bacon and cheese - loved it! Then I got a small cinnamon apple cupcake for dessert. The food was delicious and prices reasonable.

Server refused IDs that were both real, refused to provide any info why, and then she refused to either scan them or even look at them again. She then gave a BS reason saying someone we knew caused underaged issues once. Her response when I tried getting a reason why a real ID isn't going to work? "No. Can't." Not happy.

I had the chili burgeritto and it was very good I must say. The person who took my order was very nice and helpful. Would go again if I'm ever in the area!

Everything we love. Having Matt and Maggie together feels like a lifeline when we come to visit. The drinks are perfect, the food is always wonderful, and obviously the company makes us come back every time. I'm not sure I can think of any place I'd rather be to get out for a few hours, when this whole collective vibe is an option. Our favorite local getaway for sure.

What a nice surprise Burgerittoville turned out to be. We were in the mood for a burger and brewski and chose this place for location and of course the name. What a great atmosphere. Designed from an old railroad station, there's lots of wood and brick and fun decor from the 70's and 80's. Food was very good and the service was top notch. We'll be back!

Unfortunately this restaurant used to be a great spot but has gone down in quality significantly with a noticeable raise in price. The burgeritto's which used to be flavorful are more bland. The Mac and Cheese which used to be creamy and delicious tastes older and also bland. Staff is very friendly and the place looks nice but it is such a shame about the drop in food quality especially with the recent raises in price. Hope they can do better in the future but will be giving them a break for a while.

Finally had a chance to try this place over the weekend for a quick family lunch. My husband has been wanting to try this place for awhile. We ate inside and the place is quite spacious inside and the seating area (we had a large booth) was very comfortable and roomy. We tried a bunch of things between the four of us. Kids had chicken tenders, fries, and vanilla shakes. They enjoyed them and the portions were fairly big that they couldn't finish it all. They put pepper on the fries and that was probably my kids only complaint. Otherwise, they enjoyed their food and their shakes were great! I had the original Burgeritto with a side of cole slaw. It was really good and so much less messier to eat than a regular burger! What a great idea and still all the flavor. Their Cole slaw is vinegar based and while healthier, I prefer the Mayo kind. My husband loved it though. He got a special for the day which was with steak and spicy fixins. He enjoyed his meal equally as well. Our waiter was friendly and service was quick! As others have mentioned, their menu has a lot of options for anyone really- veggie, chicken, steak, and obviously burgers! They have a full bar, specialty cocktails, and extensive beer list. They also have kids meals and daily specials. Quite a few shake flavors as well. Overall, very cute casual spot in town that you can comfortably eat at or easily get for take-out. We will definitely be back!

Driven past this place at least a 1000xs and never went in until last night. Very quaint inside. No beers on tap however a decent can list, wine and coctails also available. The food and service were both top notch. We won't be driving by anymore we will definitely be back.

nice decor, kid friendly, 4 extra large booths. Great sports bar feel. The steak wrap was very tasty and enjoyable to eat( not messy). Fries were seasoned right. They offer sauces for an extra kick. Overall great spot to curb the hunger and affordable. I would recommend.

I am not sure how this place is rated so highly. The burgers are not freshly made and look like they come directly from a truck. The fries are extremely salty and almost inedible. My niece did not want her burger on a tortilla and I asked if the Italian bread from a sandwich could be substituted. We got a hard NO answer. Ridiculous! My mashed potato quesadilla was okay. The chips with the queso dip were good but nacho chips were not. Never coming back. BTW what on earth is so "original" about a burger on a tortilla?

Came here before Covid (I know seems like forever ago) but they had recently renovated their space and it looks awesome! The food was great just like it's always been before and the service was fast and friendly. I got the Burgeritto which I always get and it seemed to be larger than usual which I enjoyed very much. My dad got the veggieritto is lettuce, tomato, onion, red pepper, black olives, shredded cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette. He said it was good but needed more dressing. He also got a vanilla malt and it was perfect! This is a great place to grab a quick bite or grab something to go. The food is great and affordable.

The food is fine but the prices are just not worth it or comparable to what you get . A normal burgerrito is $17 (not the very reasonable $8.50 listed on Yelp). And they just aren't that big to justify that price.

This is a small train station converted into a restaurant. The bar area had 5 high top tables that would easily sit 6 adults. There are also about 6 stools at the bar. Unlike regular hamburgers, these burgers are in a burrito. Unusual but very good. Fries were also delicious. We will definitely go back

This place is fantastic. Definitely our new stop when traveling on 84. I can't believe it wasn't packed. Everything about this place is great. The food was fantastic. Got the burgeritto, corn dog, and fries. The inside is also really nice and loved to 80s music playing.

Amazing food, service and ambiance. And if you're from Pittsburgh, check them out for their take on the Primanti Bros. sandwich called the Pittsburgher! Absolutely fab.

This was an interesting concept that just didn't pan out in my opinion. While the names of many dishes were well thought out, taking into consideration those with good allergies was not. I went with the chicken cheesesteakaritto but when ordering over the phone ahead, I definitely felt as if I was bothering the person taking my order. They were not helpful, and it seemed as if I didn't have their undivided attention. I repeated my order a few times concerned because I had some very important substitutions for my dietary needs. My cheesesteakaritto didn't live up to what I was expecting. The main issue was the lettuce that definitely made it very soggy, not a good choice when you have to make substitutions. It doesn't come with any sides. Happy to say the chicken wasn't dry, but I couldn't taste the rest of the ingredients. When picking up my meal, curbside is still offered. The server was very polite and pleasant. All in all... Meh! At least I can say I tried it...

We've been here before and had good food, shakes and service. Tonite not so much. The closing time listed is 7:30. We arrived at 6:50. No shakes available because they are closing soon. We're told last order is taken at 7:15. We order, sit down and wait. Our orders ready in a decent amount of time. Cheese fries are fries with 4 slices of American cheese, unmelted, on top. Our burritos were ok. But at 7:13 we're told to leave and that's why they put our order in a bag. Not rude or mean, just matter of factly. So they don't close at 730. They leave at 730. Tonite they left at 7:15. If you want ok sandwiches and uninspired fries, try this place. Just get there before 6. Who closes a burger place at 7??

Great food a great selection of bottled craft beer. The nachos were really delicious and the cheese steak was awesome.

Great little stop just off the highway! All their burgers are put into tortilla wraps. Quick a fast meal that was really enjoyable! Loved the fries!! Definitely don't miss if passing thru and need a quick bite!

Great experience. This is a very cool place for lunch or a simple dinner. The concept of basically a sandwich in a wrap with all the fixings is so simple yet fun. The building is the original Newtown train station and is really cool inside. They have a great beer menu and a large variety on the menu that includes burgers, chicken and much more. Daily specials are available as well. Wonderful service. Recommend for a change of pace.

A nice place for some consistent quick food, not to be confused with fast food. Their menu is made of of fresh, quick to cook items, served in burritos. I've eaten at Burgerittoville several times and pretty much sampled the menu. Nothing was disappointing and I always looked forward to returning to try something else on the menu. The restaurant is housed in an old train station with a kind of rustic decor and an ample bar. Burgerittoville also has a list of weekly specials which are usually pretty interesting.

During a day of searching for a few elusive books that I've been collecting I stumbled upon this place. At first glance I take the sign as meaning they have burgers and burritos. Entering I looked at the menu and realized they had burger burritos. I've seen this before, they are usually really messy, but what the hell right? I mean I'm eating there so it should be no problem. They had a great menu too. Lots of different burrito concoctions, but some really other good stuff too. They also had Pittsburgh sandwiches, which are really Primanti Bros sandwiches. It's a sandwich on Italian bread with fries and coleslaw on it. I love Pittsburgh and Primanti's, but I'm at Burgerittoville, so I'm trying the Burgeritto. It is a burger with American cheese, diced tomatoes, lettuce, bacon and a tomato mayo. The burrito was delicious. Flavorful, juicy and not too messy. Honestly, it didn't get messy until the very end. I also got some golden fries that were tasty, but way too salted. All together the burrito, fries and a bottle of coke was $11.50. Not too bad. The place is small, but wasn't crowded. They have a few tables and a few more outside. It's a nice little place.

Found this Newtown Gem on a hunt for a late lunch, and it was a great discovery. The inside is lined in old baseball cards and movie posters and I believe it use to be an old train station. The service was on the money as the cook and staff quickly took our orders and presented a quality meal that we are still talking about. I had the philly steak & cheese burrito and it was packed with quality tasting meat and cheese. Every bite got better and the fries were a good side to pair with the steak and cheese. The milk shake was a bit pricey but worth every penny. The cook brought us over some onion rings and thanked us for the hard work we've been doing during the storm restoration which showed how appreciative he was. Overall I would give this place a shot and enjoy what they have to offer

Cute eatery, good food, but wasn't crazy about the root beer float. Outdoor terrace could be better if they put up umbrellas for shade. Overall, a nice quaint place.

I'm from Newtown, went here today because it was raining expecting a small frie for free, one of there claims to fame told me it wasn't raining even though I was covered in rain. Also I think it's kinda scummy to advertise that you give a discount for cash payments. not a gas station!

I adore Burgerittoville! Friendly people, a creative menu, epic cheese fries with gravy, and the location is way cool - a former train station. Since I became vegetarian, I admit that there's not always a lot to choose from on the menu, but I still love to go! The ambiance is so neat and they recently expanded and opened up an additional seating/bar area and it looks stunning!

Exceptional road stop close to 84 for a delicious burger conventiently wrapped in a tortilla for travel. Fries fresh and seasoned. Less than ten minutes from ordering to receiving food. Bathroom is functional and reasonably clean.

I really enjoy this place. The new addition really adds to the warmth of the spot. Have not tried out the full bar yet but that is a new plus. Fries are done very well. Worth a stop just for that. It's a solid 3 1/2 stars turn on a burger joint. The burgerritto and the MickyD ritto are the go to choices.

It's as if a burger and a burrito made a child, this is what would come out. I got the original burgerito and it was just ok. The ingredients were fresh and the bacon crispy, a good meat to vegetable ratio and It tasted exactly like you'd expect. It tasted like a burger wrap, though the wrap was really small. . I liked that it was mobile and that I could drive and eat at the same time without making a mess. The fries weren't bad as well. I guess I didn't know what I was expecting, maybe because it sounded unique I was expecting something crazy good because I love me some burritos and burgers. Hahaha. And maybe because I went with a safe route that I wasn't too blown away. Though, to be fair, if I lived closer, I'm curious enough to come back and try their other stuff.
