Burgers & Fish Padstow

We spent a lovely day in Padstow and were lucky to enjoy glorious sunshine. A treat after the previous day’s downpour! We’d booked lunch to celebrate a belated Mother’s Day and our mum’s birthday. Everyone was impressed. The food arrived promptly, was full of flavour, and the portions were generous. The burgers were so well stacked, they turned into a fun little eating challenge! Those who chose the fish said it was fresh, and the mussels were an absolute delight, tasty and plentiful. There was a great range of drinks, and the service was spot on. They were friendly, attentive, and perfectly timed. While some reviews mention the prices, for fresh, made-to-order food of this quality, it’s absolutely worth it. A big thank you for a lovely lunch.

We returned after a few years because the food here has been excellent. We arrived at about 6pm so we're the first there. The chilli burger was lovely but sadly, my wife's fish was greasy as though it hadn't gone into hot enough oil. Service was great.

Staff were really welcoming and helpful. Seemed to be quite a few families eating with young children, children’s menu was fairly limited with 3-4 main meals and is one of the more expensive menus we’ve seen. All our meals were delicious, well cooked and high quality ingredients

We popped in for the first time last night to celebrate my dads birthday, and we were truly impressed! The food was beyond incredible, pricey but worth every penny, service was great and staff very attentive. Lovely touches of a birthday card from the team on arrival and a complimentary piece of brownie with a candle! It was so nice to be looked after on a special occasion! We cannot recommend this place enough, honestly the best food we have had out in a while! Thank you to the whole team!

Lovely little place. Food was fantastic I ordered the mussells my husband had the fish and chips. Service was excellent. Anthony (i think thats his name- liverpudlian) was very friendly and professional and helpful - he couldn't do enough for us. Thank you we will return

Amazing food - My partner wanted to try the Octopus and was not disappointed. Mussels were also great. Lovely place, will be back.

Had a very nice quality meal here. Padstow has a million places to eat. Prices for Princes to Paupers. We all had the fresh beer battered cod with chips, crushed peas & tartare sauce. It worked out the same price as Rick Steins chippy restaurant/diner and having tried both I think this was the better meal. Beautiful fresh fish. You couldn’t get better or fresher. Crispy batter. Crunchy chips , soft inside and even the buttery crushed peas were lovely. If you want a memorable meal from Padstow give it a try. If you want a cheaper chippy tea by the harbour go somewhere else. 9.8/10. Excellent.

Wanted somewhere small and cosy to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary this place hit the spot! Waitress was really friendly and attentive. Ordered a starter of foccacia bread and dip, wow, amazing. We had haddock and hake for mains, this again was amazing. It all tasted fresh. Would definitely recommend. Lovely hidden little gem

Seafood restaurant at its best This place was recommended by Padstow tourist information center. And it was outstanding. Restaurant padstow was busy and had a great ambience. We shared butterflied prawns with crispy mcbites, both were superb. For mains, shared Cornish hake with black rice and Roasted haddock with potatoes and broccoli. Delicate flavours and very well matched with Cornish wine Carpe Diem. Desserts were beautiful as well, brownie sundae and burnt cheesecake were both delightful. Good value for money. Highly recommended to visit Burgers & Fish restaurant in Padstow. Next time I'll try Wagyu burger.

If you're looking for a solid restaurants in Padstow, this place is a great choice. We came here for a dinner. Staff were friendly, knew a lot about the menu, and gave great recommendations. The atmosphere is relaxed and stylish, with big old stylish windows overseeing old Padstow streets. The seafood is super fresh and cooked really well. We had grilled prawns and hummus with flatbread, full of flavour. Then we had charred octopus with mash and Almost famous wagyu burger with crispy fries. If you're in Padstow and want fresh seafood and good juicy burgers in a nice setting, this place won't disappoint. Highly recommend.

Had an amazing dining experience! The roasted haddock was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, and cuttlefish croquettes with caviar dressing were a highlight- crispy and indulgent. Finished with brownie sundae that was rich and decadent, alongside a smooth cappuccino. Service and atmosphere were excellent.

This restaurant is tucked away in Padstow unfortunately there's no where to sit outside as its upstairs but you can enjoy the view of the harbour from the Windows. It's a stylish & quirky restaurant. Food is really lovely and of good quality although they don't offer a wide range of fish options considering they are called "burgers & fish" but they do offer a wide range of burgers which looked lovely. The drinks are pricey compared to other places in Padstow but it is of a good standard so you can't fault it. I'd recommend the sorbets for desert they are Devine and so refreshing. The staff are accommodating, we were sat across from a lady who had allergies and they were doing the very best to accommodate her with a meal as well as providing a friendly service. The only down fall this place is, it is upstairs so if you have a disability this could be difficult but if you fancy dressing up instead of going to your usual casual pub in Padstow is worth a visit :)

A Padstow foray into urban burger joint dining. Not one for the summer as there didn't appear to be any outdoor area; all tucked away upstairs. I had the naked chilli burger. Was good! I think the burger patty needs work though. A bit tasteless. Their tomato sauce is a funny thing too. Mostly tastes like Chinese five spice/soy sauce. Not for me. Good range of local beers - we tried the St Ives lager. Ahhhhh... yeah I'm not a lover but I tried! Can't say I'd be in a rush to be back but it was a nice change from all the pub grub choices around.

Went to this restaurant twice in the week I was in Padstow,as the food is excellent. I did a burger ,think it was called the English, with bacon,black pudding. Then I came back for the fresh fish that was on there special....the staff where just as good, a young man greeted us as we came up the stairs, and then Rob served us and was full of information.....i may be back next year...

Great experience at Burgers & Fish!!! Me and my family with a couple of close friends visit Padstow every year at Christmas. We love the place and always try different restaurants while we are down. Every year me and my wife and our two best friends go out for a meal and this time we choose the burger and fish to eat. We walked in they sat us down straight away after taking our coats. Gave us menus, gave us time to decide which took me a while as everything on the menu looked great. They got us drinks quickly and we all enjoyed our wine that came out. I would try and say I can remember what we had to drink but we had had a few. We choose our food, and the only thing that got to me when ordering was the fact I had to pay for chips instead of it being included with the burger. I will say this it didn't matter to me after we tried the food ....... IT WAS EXCELLENT! I loved it and I know my friends did too. The whole night was great, service was brilliant and the drinks and food were great; could not have asked for a better evening. So thank you burger and fish you made my last night for this year in Padstow great and next year as I told the waitress I would I am going to try one of their Christmas burgers !!!!!!
