Husband and I stopped in because he was craving a burger and this place was near us. This was our first time here and we cant wait to go back. Burgers were excellent and the staff was so nice. Its hard to find a great burger at a nice price anymore but they blew us away. 10 out of 10 recommended

Always great burgers. Fries are the STAR though. ALWAYS fresh, real and HOT. Fry salt is a favorite for my husband, lettuce is always crisp and prices are reasonable. Got to Whataburger and get two meals for $20 OR got to a small business and get the same for $20 plus friendly faces and great customer service. Owner is always so kind AND behind the counter cooking, the ladies that take orders and clean tables are the KINDEST.

Absolutely amazing! Friendly staff and amazing food. Perfect mom and pop place. Would 100% recommend Wish I would have known about this place sooner. Cook was amazing. She did a wonderful job.

Good burger, fries were ok but the large drink is supposed to be a large drink. Not a splash of soda with a big cup of ice. It is what it is. It’s just a burger. Nothing crazy and nothing bad. Just there to get you fed.

Waited in the drive through line forever, I was the only one in line. No customer service whatsoever. When I finally received my food, the fries looked like they were cooked in dirty grease, there was no firmness to them at all. So I thought that would be the end of my disappointment because surely they made me wait forever because it was going to be fresh, nah. My burger was tough, no flavor, just like the fries. Ohh but the hamburger was firm, too firm. Who uses minced onions on a burger? Won’t be back, I asked for a to go menu…. Didn’t have one.

Great place for fantastic burgers and fries! They have other options too. Everything I've had is always hot and fresh! My goto for lunch in Sulphur Springs.

Woah. Hand pressed burgers for a fraction of the price of others? Yes, please. These burgers were good size, I couldn't finish mine. They were so juicy, but not greasy. The small fries were more like a medium. We got a cheeseburger, a cheddar burger (heads up, it was not cheddar, but instead cheddar jack), and two small fries for about $20. Bring cash for a tip. Service was lacking a little, we walked in and were unsure if we were supposed to go to the counter or seat ourselves. It took a few minutes to be acknowledged, but they were cooking and doing things, not standing around. Tables were dirty, one was being taken by a server's pen and apron, so we ate in the car. While eating, the place really filled up. I assume they anticipated the crowd and were preparing, so I'm understanding of the slower service and cleanliness. Overall, we would probably put this resturaunt in our bi weekly rotation if we lived in the area. Good quality ingredients for an even better price. Also, you can see all the awards and community work the business has done, which we appreciate and respect. Definitely give them a shot if you haven't!!

THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD ദ്ദി˶˃ ᵕ ˂ )✧ love me some floppy fries and a nice juicy hamburger not to mention the vibe was fantastic I love restaurants with a type of old junk vibe the only weird thing I noticed though was that the burger on the menu looked kinda ai generated or maybe I'm just crazy but overall I'd give it a 8/10!

A good hometown burger place with good portions. Easy to call ahead and go pick up your food. Good quick service.

Definitely worth the slight detour off the highway while road-tripping from Dallas to Memphis! Perfect old fashioned griddle burgers and thick cut fries.

Great old fashioned burger...I don't eat out much these days due to Obidens inflation and cost, but this was a great treat!

Great home town burger joint. The inside of the place is cool, surrounded by a lot of antiques. I would call the burger and fries "old school" style. Food was great! One thing is for sure if you're craving a burger you cannot go wrong with this place.

Absolutely killer bacon jalapeño cheese burger. Fresh cut fries. Super friendly down home staff. Price is right. Will be riding 60 miles to go again next weekend. RECOMMEND

Personally, I think this place has the best burgers in town and, given the longevity of the business, I suspect I'm not the only one who thinks so. The onion rings, also! I've never eaten inside, so can't comment on that, but this is definitely the place to go get a yummy burger.

Tried Burgers & Fries today after looking for a local burger. Ordered it to go ahead of time. Showed up in just about 10 minutes and my order was ready to go and the ladies were hard at work! Got the standard cheeseburger and had to try out the cowboy fries. The cowboy fries were definitely fresh cut fries so of course they were soggy. If I got fries by themselves, I would have been disappointed, but covered in cheese, bacon, and jalapenos, they were delicious. Fair warning to ask them to be cooked extra if you don't like them soggy! The burger had mounds of fresh veggies and the patty was the perfect size for the bun. Delicious, not too greasy, and wrapped perfectly to eat in the car. Will definitely return when I am back in town!

Needs a ton of TLC... Trust me on this one..It is Not the best burger in town, maybe in the top 15 for the County and for as the Planet?? The fries are washed & cut, fried in greasy unpeeled and taken out a 2 minutes early. They make a decent Patty Melt. A relative visits about one a year and insist on going here. I can say for certain eating a burger with grease running down my hand once a year is once too many.. I gave then 3 stars for a good Patty Melt & very good strawberry shake.. Hint: I you are driving down the street looking for the business check for the sign and then look back about 1/4 block off the street...

Burgers & Fries is THE place to go for a real, delicious old fashion hamburger. All the sides are great and the service is friendly. This family run business is worth driving out of your way for! Try the Cowboy Fries - they are habit forming!

Okay so if you're in the area and you want a darn good burger and some awesome hand cut French fries and all of it cooked to order hot and fresh old school.... Come check this place out... It's about a hole in the wall place but lord the food here... Okay you got two choices a small or large combo... Only difference is a bigger drink... $7.25 small $7.75 for a large... Plenty of food! They give ya your monies worth for sure. Mmm those fries too.... Burn your fingers dipping them in the ketchup... They do have other foods but think Burger Joint when you go in not we have 80 menu items and don't do them well... It's more We have a small menu and we do everything exceptionally good. Good food, good service, friendly hometown place to eat... And it won't break your wallet like some places... You won't leave here hungry!

Pretty good juicy burgers and home made style fries. Menus are simple but they have better than standard burgers. Me and my hubby come here whenever we have the cravings of burgers and this place satisfies it for sure. What I appreciate about this place is that the buns are lightly charred in the inside with juicy beef patty with well portioned lettuce, onion and tomatoes. I have been to so many other burger joints that are rather skimpy on the veggies but not this place. I also like that this place has a few different kinds of fries. There is a regular fries, chili fries, and cowboy fries which has chili, cheese, and bacons on top! Whooo! Boy, didn't I love that cowboy fries...it may not have been the healthiest choice but hey, it is one of a kind and extra delicious lol. They do have a few desserts of the day, and it is usually cake or pies of similar sort. I have not tried them but I see a lot of people grabbing these and I bet they top off the savory burgers and fries pretty well. Service is friendly and relatively quick. I will be back soon as soon as my burger craving hits.

I love this place. Definitely THE best burgers Ive ever had. Super tasty and I go with colleagues and friends here regularly. Their Fiesta fries are delicious. I always get the Cheddar burger and a Fiesta Fries. I always have a good time and occasionally the atmosphere is lively with a live singer/performer. The ladies running this place are kind and fun to be around. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Sulphur Springs!

WOW!!! A hole in the wall in the outskirts of the Sulphur Springs square. It is situated between a gas station and small store, and set waaaay back...but you can't miss the red building. The burgers are HUGE! The patty's are half an inch thick, and served on white bread buns. Traditional, and served with mayo or mustard (you add your own ketchup.) The fries are served in small or large to-go boxes, and a small is plenty to share. Make sure you bring your appetite, but don't worry, the pricing is super reasonable.

Hey now they've been open since 1887 and you can tell. that century old grease just does something to you! they have a single stall bathroom and it's for a reason! burgers are great fries need salt. but you can't complain because they'll just point to the closest salt shaker. the burger is BIG and JUICY AND YUMMY! just how i like.

Me and my GF went in last night for a dinner night out. This was my GF's first time eating at Burgers and Fries. I had the double meat cheeseburger, Plain Jane only, and my GF had a cheeseburger and fries. We also got the sweet tea. Here's the summary: The sweet teas are okay... I would've prefer the Lipton brand of sweet tea. My burger is quite meaty and juicy!!! Although a bit greasy..... My GF's burger has too much bread in the bun and she didn't like the pickles nor was there too much onion in it too.... The fries are quite tasty although it was greasy... The drawbacks? The fries need to be less greasy and that's why it got one star down. The greasiness of the fries is a big turn-off for me as well as the so-so flavor... The other star down is when a male worker with his glasses on went into the back of the dive and slammed the door behind my GF! It was loud enough to make her jump and hurt her left ear despite being deaf in both ears!!! It's like he doesn't even care about other people?! Please fix the two issues and I will give it a shot once again.

Finally, finally, finally came here for a meal. Ordered a hamburger and fries. The burger was a good thickness and cooked perfectly. The flavor was balanced with a good amount of lettuce, tomato, and onion. The fries are freshly cut with the skin on. They are not double fried, so they are not real crispy. They were seasoned with salt and pepper. The service was quick and friendly. The "to go" paper bag was soaked in grease from the fries, which means I am eating some of that too...but that is ok, since I don't eat this type of food that often, lol.

Great burger!!! Reminds me a little of TLC Burger in Texarkana. Yum! The fries have a lot of potential but the ones I got weren't fresh from the fryer. A little soggy but still ate them!

Amazing! Quite possibly the best cheeseburger on the planet. I meant to eat only half, but it was impossible. This place is the real deal y'all.

Yelped to see what's good in sulphur springs, texas, found burgers & fries, easy name to remember. Ordered the cheeseburger & fries special. The make it after u order it. So when they called my number it was nice & hot. The cheeseburger was superb, good size, cooked so right, nice & juicey! The fries were hot also & very tasty. Super busy while I was in there, girls cleaned the tables off, just as the customers were leaving so others could sit down. Bathroom was clean, it's an old building not much to look at, but they keep it clean inside & out. Would definitely stop back again if in the area. Friendly workers & atmosphere.

This is the kind of place you see on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. I think it would definitely be a Dive! The bulgur gets are not from frozen and the fries are fresh cut. I love their greasy burgers! The meat has that delicious crust around the edges! I'm not a fan of the fresh cut fries, but most people love them. They are just a tad too greasy for my taste. The dining area is clean and totally old school! No frills here, but great tasting burgers! Great home-town favorite!

I had high expectations for this place since it has high reviews but eeehhh... it was okay. It was an okay burger not bad not good. The burger had no flavor and fries needed more seasoning. In the other hand, staff was friendly and service was fast. Probably not returning any time soon.

Went there a couple of weeks ago to grab some lunch for the family. After getting home I noticed the fries looked as if they were cooked in a low temperature dirty grease. Brown, greasy and limp. The burgers on the other hand were great! I dont know if the fries are like this all the time, but I wont be ordering any from this point on. I'm told some folks swear by their fries, but that style doesn't work for me. Great people and great service.

By far the best burger and fries money can buy in Sulphur Springs!! The food was made to order and GOOD! The folks that work here are very sweet and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. If you are anywhere near here stop by and enjoy!!

I hate to say it, but I think this may have been the worst burger I've had in a long time. I wouldn't know where to go to get this poor quality meat, or at least that's what it seemed to me. Or, that was one of my guesses why it seemEd so bad. Having said that, the incredible amount of grease did not make up or did not add to any flavor. Also, the fries were not worth eating. For some reason, ours did not have any salt. We added salt, but it did not help much. All in all, I still can't get my hands clean of the grease and I feel like I'll be sick later.

Nice little burger and fry place. Fries are soft cooked, as others have said. Very tasty to me. Burger was good as well. Nice change up from standard chain fair closer to interstate. Glad we drove back here to eat instead.

Stopped here on my way back from Dallas to Little rock. Definitely worth the stop! Off the beaten path so you'll have to drive a couple miles off the highway but definitely the best road trip burger I've ever had.

This is hands down my favorite burger place in town! Freshest tasting patties, excellent assembly and presentation, plus with wide range of options!! This is where my best custom hamburger is made.

Just a great little mom and pop hamburger and fries place. Very good and if you're in the mood for an old fashioned cheeseburger, this is the place to go.

This is a great burger and fries place. The burgers were large and very tasty! Service there was excellent and the food was ready in no time. Everything looks like it was cooked fresh and it's all handmade. That includes a very tasty fries. All of this at a great price! If I had a choice of eating burgers here or anywhere else I would choose here.

The burgers were good! The Cowboy fries were a little undercooked but still good. Next time I will just ask for them to be well done. And there will definitely be a next time!

Found this place courtesy of my fellow Yelpers and I didn't know what to expect. By the looks of it, you wouldn't know the quality of the food. I could describe the decor as a mixture between Mr. Roger's Neighborhood and a Rollerskating rink from the 80s. But, my friends, don't judge a book by its cover. I went with a group of 10. We all ordered and our food was ready approximately 3 minutes later. I was surprised to see how large my burger was, considering it was only $4.25. When i took my first bite, man oh man...it was good. The cheese was mixed into the patty! I savored every bite. The fries were extremely disappointing, however. I'm no expert, but maybe they should change their name to just "Burgers". Others got the BLT, which they enjoyed but pleaded for more mayonnaise. All in all, a successful dining experience. I look forward to yelping more in the summer. Go Stars.

Classic hidden hole in the wall gem that you hope to find in towns. Classic tucked away joint. Burgers are great & fries are homemade fresh cut. Never disappointed they are always consistent!!!

Food is great and I like going here. But last time i went here the lady at the register was kin of rude and I didnt like that at all but i will be back I wont let one rude lady stop me from eating a good meal!!

Love their hamburgers! We always forget about the place cause we dont drive down that road much but when we remember its there we always make sure to go back

Burger was excellent! Friendly and fast service. Fried are definitely home cut a fried a golden brown. If I lived in this town, this would be my regular burger place.

Oh my goodness. The BEST Burgers in town. Good fries & tons of them. Really good place to eat. One of our favorites.

We come to SS about 3 times every 2 years. We try to visit B&F every other visit. We went last night, burger was good a little over done fries were just cut and cooked. To me they have the best burger in SS. We will be back again.
