Burghotel Nuremberg

In the heart of Old Town has completely stolen my heart! This charming family-run gem is warm, welcoming, and perfectly located. We discovered it during our Christmas Markets visit this year, and I'm already planning my return trips! Let me tell you about the breakfast – absolutely incredible! There's something for everyone, whether you're a vegetarian or a meat lover. And here's a delightful bonus: they serve Kuchen (cakes) in the afternoon with special drinks. The hotel also features a sauna and swimming pool, which I didn't get to enjoy during my winter visit, but they're definitely on my list for my next summer stay! From the moment Reiner greeted us to every interaction with the entire family and staff, we felt genuinely cared for. You'll be so happy you connected with this special place, and trust me, you'll be recommending it to everyone you know who's visiting Nürnberg. Parking is a breeze too – there's convenient availability near the city center and close to the hotel. Do yourself a favor and book your stay here. You won't regret it! Viel Spaß!

We were in Nurnberg for the Christkindl Market. The hotel exceeded our expectations. It is located in a quiet part of the old city with restaurants nearby, and the Christkindl Market walking distance. Trams and U Bahn within walking distance. The staff were great. We paid extra for the breakfast which was amazing. The room was comforable. We didn't use the pool and sauna, but did check them out. They were clean and supplied with towels. We'll stay there again on our next visit.

Very cute hotel in the old town, cobblestone roads and all. Close enough to the Christmas market to pop in and out to warm up or add layers as the temperature dropped. The hotel is adjacent to a bar so it got very loud at night with trash/bottle dumping. But it was otherwise comfy. The gummy bears on the pillow were a nice touch.||Take the front desk recommendation on food, especially the Goldener Post Horne (so good!). ||Pro tip: clarify at check-in exactly what you are agreeing to if you respond that you want breakfast. It was not explained and I didn't ask for clarification. I assumed we would pay at checkout for the breakfasts we ate. Apparently you are agreeing to breakfast each day and are paying for it whether you partake or not. So that was 30 euros wasted as we had an early train on checkout day and didn't have time to eat. Disappointing and frustrating (especially the response), but the day we did have breakfast we enjoyed it very much!

This hotel is well-located, down a quiet street, and easy to find. The rooms are charming and the reception staff are friendly and efficient. They helped us choose a good restaurant - Heilig Geist Spital - in a historic 14th century building over-looking the river. We enjoyed exploring the church's and castle of Nuremberg, as well as other sites around the city. There are good bars for pre-dinner drinks too, many with seats outside. The team also gave us useful tips for our onward journey south through beautiful countryside.

Stayed for one night passing through Nuremberg. Amazing location. Close walking to everything. Right in the heart of the old city. Check In was smooth and the front desk lady was very pleasant. Parking is close by. We had 2 rooms on the 4th floor. Clean with great view.

We are very happy with this hotel choice:|- friendly stuff going above and beyond (mailed postcards for us, called taxi, brewed me a tea at 9pm, always smiling and ready to help)|- sauna and pool are amazing and very private. We enjoyed there alone every evening.|- beds and pillows are comfortable |- location is great, 1 min from the castle and a few min walk from the main square.|- breakfast is so amazing|- plenty of hot water and great water pressure.|- you can drink a tap water here.|THANK YOU GUYS FOR HAVING US ♥️🇩🇪

We stayed here to be walking distance to the infamous Old Town Christmas markets and it was brilliant for this reason only.Reception were friendly and helpful with maps and directions. However ,the room had so much furniture we could not fit 2 medium suitcases without having to step over one just to get out of bed.The room was not made up daily ( as would be expected for a cost of over $330 AUD daily.) and by 3.30 pm we had to ask for towels and toilet paper which were replaced but the beds were still not made up.

Very nice, quaint, clean, comfortable hotel inside the old city of Nuernberg. Great location for walking the old city, Market square, castle and shopping area. Parking in the park garage just around the corner at a discounted rate. (approx. $5 a night) Professional, English speaking front desk clerks. Rooms are small and immaculate; plenty comfortable with contemporary private bathroom. Great customer service. Being located in the city with windows in the room open, there were the normal sounds of city life.
