Simply put, Burial Beer rules. Great IPAs, friendly staff and very cool artwork. Fortunately for my group it was close to closing with few people, giving us free rein to check out the work. I never thought I’d ever see a wall dedicated to the classic that is Point Break. Respect

Google
It’s a very interesting/unique taproom in a good way. The beer here is GREAT. When I came, they have donuts paring with stouts flight! I love stouts, so delicious! I finally tried the donuts, I like them but they are tooooooo sweet! I want hot tea with it, but sweet stouts!

I spent three days in Raleigh in May 2025 for no particular reason - but decided I would use my time to explore the beer scene in town. Burial was a stand-out experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They brew a wide variety of styles. I experienced a few different IPAs and a Blonde Ale - all good expressions of their styles. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. I especially liked the ex-presidents mural on the wall - one of my home town breweries has a similar mural from the same movie!

I love this place! I don't drink alcohol, but I do enjoy Delta-9 seltzers. I've tried many places with seltzers in Raleigh; and the Burial seltzers (Seance) are the very best I've tried in this city!! I love the Mango. The bartenders and service could not be better. They're all so friendly and helpful. The atmosphere inside is pretty bitchin - a wide open space with high ceilings. It's clean and inviting. I love all the local art and especially the wall of plants! There are several tables outside along the sidewalk as well. Transfer Food Hall is adjacent; and I believe you can order drinks at Transfer and take them over to the food hall (and vice versa). Highly recommend! I also saw that on Sundays they have "Seance Sundays" where their seltzers are on special for $5! I'll definitely be back.

Google
Easily one of my top ten breweries ever. I’ll never turn down Burial. The artwork in this space adds to the atmosphere. Friendly staff & awesome beers.

Google
Awesome IPA selection and taste. Such a cool atmosphere, loved the look and vibe of this place. The bartenders were great with their recommendations pointing me in the direction of something I loved!

Google
My favorite neighborhood bar ! Suzie and Bailey are the sweetest ever and always greet us with a warm welcome whenever we stop by . The vintage markets are so fun ! We have been to a few of them and they have great vendors with awesome products ! We live in the neighborhood so having such an awesome brewery within walking distance is great for us . We also love that we can just pop buy after eating dinner at transfer co .

Yelp
The best West Coast IPA in the triangle. They also do natural wine. Tap room usually has seating and you can bring food in from the adjacent food hall. Artwork is amazing, bottle shop in the back. Never had an issue parking. Wins all around.
google avatar

Taylor B.

Yelp
Just as good as their other locations! I love that each location has a theme/purpose. Since this one is "The Exhibit" there's lots of art work. Beer is always delicious--the stouts are some of my favorites and I highly recommend them. Service is great, atmosphere is great, and parking was easy in the lot.

Yelp
We stopped by on Wednesday afternoon for a quick drink. Johnny tried the surf wax beer and I tried the Sauvignon Blanc "Sink into Seclusion ". Omg the taste is so unique. The brewery is very artsy, clean and has great swag. Service was friendly. Prices are fair. Go with confidence
google avatar

Melissa L.

Yelp
As you approach the entrance to the brewery, they have outdoor seating along the sidewalk. As you enter, it is very welcoming with a wide variety of beers. The board has good explanations on the beer and the flavors. I tried all of the IPAs and the surf wax was by far my favorite. However, they were all good beers. The business adjoins a food court, which has a large variety of local restaurants. Dogs are welcome in the brewery and they have water bowls available if needed. The art decor inside is amazing. They have a bottle shop and gift shop attached to next-door. I was a little disappointed that the T-shirts were $35 apiece, but they are good quality shirts. Staff was very helpful and kind during our visit. We really enjoyed this brewery and plan on returning.

Yelp
Burial is one of my favorite breweries. The Forestry Camp in Asheville is amazing with great food. The Exhibit in Raleigh is nice, and they have the beer, but it is lacking some atmosphere. Lots of paintings, but it lacks character beyond the can art. Service was very good. So I'm dropping a star just for the atmosphere ... I blame Burial Forestry Camp for setting the bar too high!

Yelp
I was lucky enough to make a spontaneous stop at Burial in Downtown Raleigh and give it a try and I may have found my new favorite downtown spot! Burial's Raleigh location is within a very industrial looking space connected to a large food hall. The decor was incredible - artwork with blood and skulls hang on the walls while deer skulls crafted into light fixtures dangle above the bar. I found myself constantly gazing around the entire building to see the sights, I absolutely loved it. They also have local artists' work on the walls as well, which I always appreciate. Inside you will find a ton of seating, plenty of large tables that could easily seat a large party of people as well as some tables outside. They are also dog friendly, with an assortment of metal water bowls on the wall to use. There is a door that takes you directly into the food hall next door, where you can grab a bite and bring it back into Burial to enjoy with your drink. Food can come in, but alcohol can't go out! Burial has an extensive beer selection, with the menu being conveniently organized on the wall as you walk in. They definitely have something for everyone's taste. Some of the names are comedically long - but it's so on brand with the atmosphere, I love it. Being my first time, I wanted to try as much as I could. Take note - they do not do flights, but you can order short pours two at a time. I enjoyed everything I tried, from the wheat beers to the stouts to the sours, but "The Beginning is After the End" coffee porter was a standout. I had a total of six short pours and had still barely scratched the surface of their offerings.  What a spot! Burial has great beer, a great location, and killer ambiance. This place is a gem, and I will definitely be back.
google avatar

Rebecca H.

Yelp
Great strong beers with an IPA emphasis and good service. You can also order food from any of the vendors in Transfer Food Hall next door and they'll bring it over.

Yelp
Burial originally hails from Asheville, and the location close to downtown Raleigh offers a selection of high quality, fresh beer. The tap list spans about 24 brews spanning from triple hopped IPAs to tart, funky sours. The variety translates to good selections for any beer palette. Most of the beers my wife, brother in law, and I sampled were excellent. The bartenders here are knowledgeable and helpful with choosing brews. Provided samples were generous, and the brewery does smaller 4 or 8 oz pours for the noncommittal or for those who want to try many different styles. For the more beer averse, Burial also offers frose and frozen beer-mosas which seemed refreshing on a hot day. The space itself is open and industrial with plenty of high tops and benches for seating. We fortunately snagged one of the three sidewalk tables on a beautiful day outside, but know that outside seating is very limited if that is important to you. Beers here did not seem too pricey with most pints costing no more than $8. Street parking even on a busy day was a cinch. Burial definitely ranks among my favorite breweries in town (and likely the state), and is worth visiting for any beer enthusiast.

Yelp
If you love good craft beer with a heavy metal backdrop, this is the place for you!! Beers have some outrageously long names and they usually have a wide variety on tap to try. It's nextdoor to Morgan st town hall, so lots of tasty bites next door.
google avatar

Erin T.

Yelp
First off, the vibes of this place: immaculate. It was like "what if the grim reaper rose up and opened a brewery". They have long tables which is great for groups (and even board game nights). They're connected directly to the food hall which is fantastic--buy food and take into burial to enjoy a beer. However, the beer itself did not impress me. I got the hellstar (dunkel lager). It was quite honestly devoid of flavor. (I guess I should preface that I've enjoyed many a munich dunkel, and it's even one of my favorite go-tos.) Also, the apostle for none (pb banana chocolate stout) which was very flavorful, but omg oh so rich! I couldn't even finish the 4oz pour. (Though the two weren't bad mixed together.) I'd try it again if a friend wanted to go but probably won't venture here again of my own volition.
google avatar

Janet C.

Yelp
Love that Burial has expanded their space, SO much better! Still love their beer and not that there is more space to enjoy, will look to come more often. Lots of large tables for groups to hang out. Good selection of eats at the food hall next door. Great service, will let you sample a beer before you commit to a pour!

Yelp
What an AWESOME place! So glad that I stopped in for a drink with some friends. It's quite low-key. A nice place to chill while sipping on some beer. There were so many beers to choose from! I didn't know what to get so went with the "Nitro Skillet - Donut Stout". I hit jackpot! That was by far the best chocolate stout I've had. It went down so smooth! I could've gone for another glass. I love the foamy-ness of the beer. Overall, the customer service was spot on! Especially with just one bartender, she was amazing and so knowledgeable. Respect! I can't wait to return and try everything on the menu. Not to mention, the store section is super nice too. Grab some gear and beer to go!
google avatar

Suzie H.

Yelp
Stopped here TWICE while we stayed in Asheville. Food was absolutely phenomenal. Service was top notch, my husband is a big craft beer guy and absolutely loved this place. The vibe is so unique, glass windows and wood seating. We loved the area it was in and will definitely be back!
google avatar

Brendan S.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in here on the way down to Florida. The beers were delicious. I have been to their Asheville location, but I was only stopping in to buy beers, so I definitely wanted to stop in and drink some beers. I like the atmosphere and the vibe. The staff was friendly, and you can get a bunch of different food options next door. I'll definitely stop in again if I'm ever in Raleigh again.
google avatar

Meera S.

Yelp
Suzie is the best. So considerate, professional, kind, and funny. Bailey was also extremely warm and helpful. Thank you ladies for the best evening.
google avatar

Maggie L.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and service! Went on Memorial Day while showing some out-of-town guests around Raleigh, NC and this was a great stop to add in our tour. Staff recommended a great beer that four out of the five of us got (Billows). We played a card game at our table and other groups were eating food they brought in or just talking/hanging out. Dogs are allowed which is great inside!
google avatar

Thomas M.

Yelp
My associate told me if there was one brewery/beer spot to hit in Raleigh, that Burial was the place. Was not disappointed in any way. The spot is a very cute beer hall/room, with a wrap around bar that sits prolly 8. Lots of open seating, and lots of beer variety. Their IPAs are what to get, but I'm off the IPA so I got a bunch of sours, which are normally not my fave, but these were amazing. There is a march room that is also sort of an art room, and I bought a shirt for the wife, who despite having not been, wears it with pride.
google avatar

Kristen F.

Yelp
We have been to the Asheville location and have always loved it. We were coming into town and were thrilled to find that they also have a location here. As always, their sours were literally to die for. If I wasn't just in town for a visit and wanting to try more of their beers, I would have continued to drink the sours all day. The atmosphere is also great, very chill and open. Dog friendly. We will 100% be coming back here the next time we are in town.

Yelp
Unfortunately Burial Beer built their Raleigh location way too close to my house and have caused me to have a slight problem... But how can I not go their on every possible occasion when they're serving up some of the best brews in the Triangle?! And now that they've expanded their space, having tables to sit out, bar seating and [limited] outdoor seating, it's large enough to bring all my friends. They always have amazing DIPAs, IPAs and stouts on board and some great names as well (I'll take a pound of flesh please!) Their bar tenders are fantastic (shout out to Ellis and Anna!). You can grab some food next door at Transfer Co or grab some of their [limited] bar snacks. This is definitely a beer lovers place, although they do serve a limited selection of wine and typically have Le'Croix for non-drinkers. I love their bright, open and green space, it goes well to contrast the beautifully dark artwork. Until next time Burial!

Chef Sean Andre T.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick beer and a glass of vino with my daughter. There are a lot of local beers on tap as well as a nice house made wine selection. I can't wait to come back when it's warmer so I can sit on the patio sip. Check them out when you are in the RDU area. #eatingwithchefsean It's Gon' Be Dope!
google avatar

Stephanie J.

Yelp
Burial has expanded and I am liking it. I can finally enjoy my beer and sit down. My favorite beer is The Steady Death IPA; however, I wish a 4 pack of cans was not $16. Burial is a must visit if you are visiting Asheville, now you don't have to travel far because you can try them at their new location - "the exhibit."
google avatar

Bob S.

Yelp
One of my favorite breweries! Great vibe and great beers ! Art work awesome as well!
google avatar

Abby B.

Yelp
A huge space that is dog friendly! The beer names are a bit much, but we loved everything we tasted. They have wine, which I appreciated since I'm not much of a beer drinker. Great selection and they have an assortment of sizes you can get, so taste away! Steps away from all that Raleigh has to offer too.
google avatar

McCauley P.

Yelp
Had continually horrible service by one bartender here, female and with tattoos medium height. Continually discriminates against me. On one occasion asked me if I was trying to order drinks on someone else's tab because I said my middle name instead of first name which my card said. Second time I was asked for an ID when I've been there and been served by her at least a hundred times. It's expired so I give her the LEGAL slip of watermarked paper the DMV gives while yours is in the mail. She refuses to serve me. The amount of money I've spent here. Too bad Burial beer is the best around
google avatar

Lauren O.

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday night as it was highly recommended by other beer enthusiasts around town. The beer itself was amazing with lots of different styles to choose from, a lot of them are also in cans to go. Place is dog friendly and has many open benches in the building. I will definitely be coming back in my future trips!
google avatar

Daniel R.

Yelp
This was my first time finally being able to check out one of Burial's locations. Just as expected, it was a great experience! It is a nice little spot in Raleigh with plenty of seating indoor and outdoors. They certainly have some of the best beer in the game right now and this location has a roughly 15-20 taps! Plenty of beer to go around for the average beer drinker to the beer snob. I will definitely be back to try more of their stuff and swing by the togo shop to bring stuff back home!
google avatar

Will V.

Yelp
This place is great. Not too big but not too small. Never have a problem finding a seat. I really like there beer and the staff is super helpful. The art in here is worth going by itself. But go for the beer. They have great options for everyone and there is a lot of flavor. I even bought some to take home.
google avatar

Calvin D.

Yelp
Huckberry magazine rated the Asheville brewery as the best brewery in NC. Given I live in Raleigh, I stopped by this location. And I was very impressed. Not only is the interior design and styling very unique, clean, and artistic, but the beer itself is top notch. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Clifford C.

Yelp
A very quaint looking brewery located in Downtown Raleigh. There was just a single bartender here on a Saturday night servicing a large group of people here. The interior has a bunch of wood tables allowing you to sit down and bring in your own food. Luckily, it is right next door to the Transfer Food Company (Large Food Court) There are a great amount of IPAs on tap, with a lot of other canned options. The bartender didn't seem that patient with me as I am not a very big beer drinker, so when I asked him which would be the best for me that would be like a lager, he snickered under his breathe and then told me to read the menu. When i finally ordered my beer, based on talking with people in the line, he ended up giving me the wrong beer. Since i didn't know what was what, i went back to the table with my friends, told them what i ordered and they told me that it was wrong. i brought it back and he said that it was half 'drunk' and that if i wanted another beer, that i could order the other the next time. Customer service didn't seem to be his forte, and the brewery seems to cater more towards those who know what kind of beer is being served. With all the other breweries around, this is no longer on my places to revisit.
google avatar

Erin W.

Yelp
I love the Asheville location and am SO excited they came to Raleigh. Their beers are really unique and have tons of flavor. I like the "badass" feel of their merch, beer names, and beer labels. The space is intimate but somehow there's always room to squeeze in. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. In this location they have beers for tap, and beers in cans and bottles to take home. They also sell unique art and Burial t-shirts.
google avatar

Morgan S.

Yelp
We were walking by Burial at around 6 PM on a Tuesday, doors were wide open, someone was behind the counter and someone else was sitting at the bar. We headed inside and were about to sit down when the person sitting at the bar glanced up, said "we're closed" and then went back to ignoring us. Very rude and dismissive, and confusing given that both doors were open. I hate that our first experience here was so negative because we probably won't be back now. Definitely remember to always prioritize customer service and friendly behavior - even if it's just to let people know you aren't open.
google avatar

George F.

Yelp
One of my favorite beer destinations in Raleigh! They make a fantastic product, the staff is welcoming, the space is inspiring, the bottle shop is well stocked, and the Transfer Co Food Hall fills in any gaps. Well worth a visit!
google avatar

Julia H.

Yelp
For fans of Burial, the Exhibit will bring to mind the early days of the brewery - a small space backed by passionate staff, devoted to delivering beer experiences from the comforting to the curious. Located in the new Transfer food hall, the small tasting room/release outpost offers a cozy standing-only bar space with walls covered in images of classic Burial art, and taps flowing with everything from always popular lagers, currently hip IPAs, sturdy stouts, and more experimental beers like a bright pink saison with prickly pear and sumac or a sour aged in oak with apricot juice and peach noyaux. It's card only - no cash for now, but do bring some for tips! - which makes the line move fast and the space is small but arranged for maximum flow, so even when it's busy it doesn't feel claustrophobic. Bathrooms are located outside of the Exhibit in the main Transfer hall, which is gradually opening up with a handful of dining choices currently doing business; perfect for a bite after beers! It may not provide a luxe experience currently but there's little doubt that, like the original brewery, this little outpost will thrive and grow to provide Raleigh and the Triangle with the same excellent craft brewing that brought success in Asheville.
google avatar

Dave W.

Yelp
Before you go to Burial Raleigh you will need to ask yourself a few questions: Do you like delicious beers? Do you like beer styles that are interesting but also approachable? Do you like craft beer venues that are at the top of the game without being pretentious? If so Burial is your place. They don't make ANY bad beers. They have beers for most anyone. They make world class beer that you can't get anywhere else(except Asheville NC). Trust me I am an expert. Follow me on Untapped Dickiewatty
google avatar

Mindy L.

Yelp
Love Burial and I am happy they are here in Raleigh. They are located in Transfer Co. food hall. Their space is pretty tight, hopefully they expand soon, I hope so. I mean they are called the Exhibit. They have a ton of parking on the road, on the sides of the buildings, so parking is no trouble at all. Overall, I love their beer! There is usually Dank Burrito food truck in the front where you can get amazing burritos. There is also food inside the food hall. Love coming here!
google avatar

Michele K.

Yelp
Very good beer selection. Quite a wait in line - this place is popular. It's located right outside of the Transfer Food Hall - no entrance from within the food hall. Minimalist setting with clay pots and plants along the exposed briick wall. Just a few tables and chairs for sitting, mostly picnic tables. Expect to share a table with strangers. But then again....after you share a few beers maybe you won't be strangers?! When a spot opened up, we cleaned up the table, including the prior guests' beer glasses. If the staff is not going to bus tables regularly, perhaps consider having a spot where guests can take their glasses upon leaving? Other than that, it was a fun start to our evening in downtown Raleigh!
google avatar

Juston S.

Yelp
The ipa is great! The venue is a closet. The service is fair at best. I get that there are a ton of non-beer drinkers visiting the food hall but either hire more people for service or start doing flights. Just don't expect Asheville and you won't be disappointed. Pro tip- everything you want is in the fridge... Don't even mess with these people. Go in break line, get beer out of the case, and keep it moving.
google avatar

Sean W.

Yelp
The beer at Burial is phenomenal. This is an IPA lover's dream. I was excited to pop into Burial on a Thursday night for some good beer. They had a solid list of IPAs and DIPAs on tap. My favorite beers were "From the Darkness There Is Light" and "Display of Vulgarities". Both were juicy, hazy DIPAs with nice mouthfeel and well balanced citrusy flavor. Bonus points for the awesome artwork!
google avatar

Cole W.

Yelp
Wow, what a 6 -months for Burial Brewing in Raleigh! Originally a small beer/bottle shop located next to the Transfer Food Company this place has recently expanded to include in house seating. Though it doesn't have food (that's next door at the foodhall.), Burial Brewing offers good beer and good service. I love this place and look forward to it's continued expansion.
google avatar

Esther B.

Yelp
A great tasting room from a great brewery next to a great "food hall". Tasted the best coconut imperial porter of my life while snacking on empanadas from Che Empanadas next door in the food hall. The service was amazing as well. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon...or any free time you have available for a little joy.
google avatar

Dave F.

Yelp
I don't like that it's outside service only but also have to appreciate their desire to be safe during these times. That said there is a reason this is the #1 rated brewery in Asheville. They have great unique beers. We just visited Asheville and like our location better. It's right beside the food hall and have the same awesome beers.
google avatar

Laura M.

Yelp
Best beer in Raleigh hands down. Not the biggest space, but super high quality. They don't have food AT burial, but it's attached to transfer food hall with plenty of options. Don't miss this spot if you're in the triangle!
google avatar

Tavares J.

Yelp
Pretty dope ass place. Very quaint and small with some very unique art paintings there. All the artwork is dark and gloomy but if thats your boat this is the place for you. The beer is amazimg and its right neside Transfer Food Co which has a ton of food options to choose from.
google avatar

Sergio F.

Yelp
This is one of the best best spots I got a brew from , met some chill as people there for sure and got a sick shirt . Seating is outside so just FYI it's chairs and tables along side of building, not a problem just saying
google avatar

Jamie H.

Yelp
Cool decor and very friendly staff. You can bring your dog and outside food in. There is always a large selection of beers that are a variety of abv and beer style.
google avatar

Duncan P.

Yelp
Easily the best beer in Raleigh. I'd argue it's the best beer brewed in NC. Burial has weekly Wednesday releases. Anytime friends come to town and ask for recommendations Burial is one of the first places I send them to.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
It's a joke to call this a "bar" -- it's a broom closet with a couple chairs where the bartenders buddies sit and chat with the employees. If you're over 30 years old and don't sport a "man bun" -- walk on by and grab a drink from the much friendlier bar inside the Transfer Food Hall.
google avatar

Scott G.

Yelp
So we ventured to Burial for our first visit and were less than impressed. I certainly understand that there are restrictions with the current pandemic, but seriously? The door was blocked with a metal service cart and the entrance was manned by the rudest male attendant in Raleigh. No explanation as to why the interior of the facility was closed and Mr.Personality just pointed to the tap list taped to the window. Ordered two beers, cash not accepted. I guess you then just take your beer and drink it on the sidewalk? Anyway, then headed to Hi-Wire in Durham. Great experience, live entertainment, food truck etc.
google avatar

Yelp
Just left Burial-beer! Great place! Extremely friendly! Love the expansion! Ellis is a great addition to the crew! Extremely informative and helpful! Cant wait to come back!
