One of the best calamari we’ve ever had, so buttery, soft, and sweet, perfectly paired with an amazing tartare sauce. The battered dory and cod were just as impressive, beautifully sweet and even better with fresh lemon squeezed over the top. Absolutely delicious and well worth a visit. Great concept Fish & Chip shop with a fresh seafood cabinet facing the street. Genuinely beautiful fresh oysters and sashimi that were prepped and purchased straight from the cabinet. Calamari was also perfectly cooked. You can take away and eat on the beach or dine in. On a winter's day inside seating is cosy with street views and I got to enjoy a beer with my seafood order. Access is flat, some high seating but definately space for those travelling on wheels✅🧑🏼‍🦼 Pathways are sealed to this venue with All Access parking close by and communal All Abilities toilets not far away. Neurodiverse, you'll like the cosy protected space, the vibe and the lighting is great✅😎🎧

Literally the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. So good. I wish I could have finished them. Fresh. Crispy. Soft. Beautiful texture on the snapper. Just perfection.

The fish was good, the serving size was big, and there's a toilet inside (just ask for the key). The fries were amazing. Will definitely recommend!

Great, the calamari is fantastic. Definitely the place to eat if in Burleigh. The best fish and chips I have had in a long time. It is a bit pricey, however worth it! Went in on a public holiday and they were flat out - waited about 30mins for our meal. Wait was worth it though.

Off the back of the reviews in Yelp we chose Fish Mongers at Burleigh Heads for lunch while on holidays. Service was not unfriendly, and venue had the relaxed holiday atmosphere which was lovely, the food was a little whelming. We had battered flat head and chips which was boarding on fish less, cold, soggy and drowning in chicken salt. We also had crumbed calamari, disproportionally more batter/ crumb than calamari again chicken salt was very heavy handed, the chips were hot, which was nice. Lastly fish burgers had a good serve of fish on an un toasted buns with coleslaw both unexpected but okay. We wanted so very much to enjoy our meal, feel like maybe the shop has changed hands?

Ordered a fish burger and a beef burger combo. Both burgers were so tasty I couldn't decide which was my favourite. The burgers were so delightful I just had to ask who made it. I was told a chap named James made my burgers. Big props to him. The combo came with a good portion of chips that were lovely and crisp. The atmosphere was as you'd expect, very beachy and relaxed. Overall a great dining experience.

Excellent spot on James Street to pick up all your essential fried seafood and potato treats. A good selection of tasty seafood on offer with middle of the range pricing. Sauces and lemon are included in your takeaway wrappings, so don't worry about buying them like I did (would have been nice to have been told they were included). Unfortunately, always feels like that have a really early closing time, especially on a Friday and Saturday night. Keep this in mind, especially if you're coming down from Brisbane on a Friday night.

Great service, very fresh seafood and an amazing selection. The shop is on the main street and a short walk from the beach so great to take down to the water. Note they give you tartar and tomato sauce for fish and chips so you don't really need to buy extra unless you like a lot of sauce.

Great service! Lovely staff and great food! The store is beautifully presented and never have had a problem with the food, a bit of confusion as I'm a kiwi and call battered sausages, hotdogs but the kiwi bloke understood! Would definitely recommend, very reasonable prices and quick service(: definitely coming back
