The Best Luggage Sets to Gift New Travelers, Families, & More

"Designed for travelers who rarely check a bag, the Paravel Weekender Set Plus allows you to take full advantage of your allotted airplane real estate. The Aviator Carry-On Plus gets points for its 360-degree double spinner wheels, clever interior pockets, and the fact that it’s made from recycled materials—not to mention, it fits seamlessly in the overhead compartment. The roomy weekender bag can be used as your personal item and slipped over the trolley sleeve of the carry-on."

This Burlington location is on the smaller side, so the variety of items isn’t as wide as in other stores. On weekends, the shelves tend to be pretty picked over, so it’s best to go during the week if you can. That said, if you take your time to look, you might find brand-name clothing at a deep discount — though some items may have minor factory defects. It’s a bit of a treasure hunt, but sometimes worth it.

I would honestly leave less an overall score but because it is JUST THAT, an OVERALL score, a 2-3 seems fitting. Someone else reviewed that they were going to buy a $50 pair shoes but ended up leaving because they felt they were being suspected of stealing or trying too. Let me tell you! IF I had not already spend 3 hours in this store, IF my shopping cart was not overflowing with school clothes for my granddaughter, I would have CERTAINLY left at hour 1 which was the FIRST time my shopping cart got taken from me by a worker! She full on SAW me hands on the cart putting things into it, I turn my back for 2 seconds and she is walking away with my cart! I laughed out loud and said hey hello im not done! …..weird right? She said “oh I was just taking it up front for you” ….. so now you’re ushering me out of the store? Please mind you this happened at NOON. It wasn’t like 10:59pm right before closing! Okay so then I had to run out to my car, so I myself took the opportunity that I KNEW they were seeking (to go thru my cart to see if I was stealing items, because I didn’t walk into the store with any single bag or was my body tight gym clothing going to be capable of concealing anything either. ) so I took the cart and said please do not start putting ANYTHING away. I am going out to my car for a tampon and using the restroom when I come back in. (Yeah the deets were given) I come back in. My cart is fine. Okay so idk if they went thru it or not. I honestly don’t care because I wasn’t stealing anything but nobody likes to feel like that ya know. Anyways , about hour 2.5 I need to try on 2 pairs of pants for myself. The woman AGAIN takes my cart and this time says she is going to start taking off the hangers in preparation for my departure…. I was stunned. I wasn’t even done YET! Whyyyy are you ushering and rushing FULLY CAPABLE OF PAYING CUSTOMERS OUT OF YOUR STORE? I still had a FULL WHOLE OTHER little person to shop for! I knew I was about to spent $300 on my girl.! I still had my boy to shop for! But no NOPE i was DONE at this point . Being made to feel like the only things that mattered was : am I stealing and your workers needing a break? Didnt look understaffed to me in the 3 hrs i was there. Same woman took ATLEAST 3 smoke breaks in the same period. So yeah it’s number 1 and number 1 only. Theft suspicious. Of someone who doesn’t have a single way to conceal anything! Imagine that. And who is OBVIOUSLY VERY SERIOUS about buying all these items. Why else would I spend all that time? Why else would I leave the store to go to my car and come back to finish shopping? I walked up to the registers arms full of more things since I didn’t have a cart. I look at my cart….. this is where I internally flip. Most my items were seperated into diff carts. None of the hangers were taken off. Case in point. I paid close to $300 just as I had intended all thru out this weird weird trip . I came home upset. Decided to read reviews. I am not the only one apparently . your workers are in need of some training and talking to about this kinda stuff. Sure it’s satisfying to just drop the $300 in front of them without issue. But I would have the done the same WITHOUT ALLTHE ADDED PROFILING and what I can see as discriminatory. The ONLY reason this is an 3 overall and not a 1 star is because the overall pricing, okay selections, cuter styles than other places imho, and the kids clothes fit to a T here vs say, Ross. Oh and the guy with the painted fingernails working the register was pretty cool. So you get a 3 from me but only for those other aspects. I’d like a sincere apology . **EDIT** As we can all see from Burlington’s reply, they feel I do not deserve a sincere apology. Blows my mind. And TO THINK , I actually went back today (before seeing this blah generic reply) and spent ANOTHER full Entire afternoon shopping and spent ANOTHER $503 (Can I add screenshot receipts?) - Now that both my grandkids school needs are taken care of, I won’t be going back. Their LACK of customer service is beyond incredulous. Updating to 1 star. Sick .

I was shopping at Burlington with my 3-year-old brother, who has special needs, and an employee made an announcement over the intercom basically telling us to get him to stop running around. It wasn’t said directly as “control your kid,” but that’s exactly how it felt. My brother can’t sit in the cart because he can’t sit still due to his condition, and we were already doing our best to manage him. After the announcement, we tried putting him back in the cart, and he started crying — he was so upset and overwhelmed. Then a worker came up to us and said almost the same thing again instead of showing any understanding or kindness. It was humiliating and heartbreaking. My brother can’t help how he behaves, and we were trying our best. Burlington needs to train their employees to be more compassionate and understanding toward families with special needs children. No one should be made to feel embarrassed like that in public.

The dressing room situation needs help. They have permanently closed the real dressing rooms and only let you use two little tiny booths near the front of the store. I waited a long time for a dressing room because of how few there are now. There has to be a better way.

I found the store to be clean and organized. The staff was friendly. Quick to greet me. Everything seemed to be in order and it wasn't as chaotic as some of the other racks are at other stores where I've shopped. Parking was easy. The bathrooms were also very clean.

Very rude employees. Accused me of stealing a huge area rug after spending over $400. The cashier didn't take the alarm tag off of the rug, and then tried saying she never rang it up. The employees didn't notice the rug was on my receipt til I was completely embarrassed for being accused of thievery. I'll never go to this location again! Maybe I'll just stick with ROSS lol

Google
Disappointing shopping options. They are definitely not the same as when they used to focus on coats. In fact just the opposite. They are now closer to a Ross store, but not doing as good a job. Disappointed shopping.

The layout is great and the variety expansive. We found pajamas, shoes, toys, unique treats, and mens clothes all on the same trip. The staff was friendly and helpful, and you can't beat the prices. Glad they finally opened a store in Layton!

Yelp
As soon as I walked inside, I smelled some type of cleaning solution and I looked down and noticed how squeaky clean and shiny the floor was. It's a typical Burlington with the exception of the sparse costume jewelry section and extremely organized hair and bath products section. I've never seen a Burlington hair product selection set up so neatly.

Yelp
I had the absolute worst experience in this store. The store manager Connie was absolutely rude to me and my family when we were shopping there. We were christmas shopping and my nephew fell down because he tripped on toy that was in the middle of the isle because this store was such a mess. The store manager happened to be right down the isle and told him to stop whatever he was doing, and to stop running in her store. She had the absolute worst attitude about it, and yelled at him. She had absolutely no right to say anything, especially after it's the fault of the store that it was so messy.I told her I was right there and watching them and it was an accident and she proceeded to give me the death glare. I left my cart full of items I was going to buy and left the store. I am not going to shop at a company that treats there customer in this way. I would way rather go to to Tj Maxx or Ross than to ever set foot or buy anything else from Burlington. I recommend you do the same. The staff there is a nightmare.
