Talk about an absolute hidden gem! This food is delicious! Taco salad was large and the meat was well seasoned!! The burgers we had were VERY juicy and tasted amazing! Even the fries were good!! Most definitely will be back next time we stop in Belfield!

Skip Medora and stop here! Bar atmosphere but delicious food. We were staying down the street at the campground and coming home from TR National Park. None of the places in Medora had a NY Strip, which is the only steak I eat. My steak here was very juicy and perfectly seasoned and cooked. My husband had the prime rib and like the other reviewers said, it would be better without the topping. However both great and we were pleasantly surprised. The soup and asparagus were very good. The mashed potato gravy was disgustingly good! The home cooked vibe we were going for. Dessert also was very good. Our server Heather was attentive and pleasant. Love the prices, service, and food. So glad we stopped!

Quick and friendly service by Jackie. Hot beef with mash potatoes was to my husband's liking. Italian burger was juicy. Chicken and dumplings soup was tasty. Burger patties to go for puppies were good size and juicy, only $4 each, they loved them.

Definitely a hidden gem. Short drive away from touristy Medora to a cool small Town. Food was outstanding. Had a 8oz sirloin and country fried steak. The steak was best tasted in a long time. The country fried steak was a large portion with great crust. Beer was ice cold which is great on a warm day. Local service that was welcoming friendly. We felt right at home in a crowd mixed with locals and visitors. This was the North Dakota experience we appreciate. Glad we made the drive.

Excellent food and good service every time. We have had several meals here ranging from a basic burger and fries up to steaks, shrimp, pasta dishes, etc. Soups have been delicious as well. Good portion sizes, fair prices, and reasonably quick service even when there is a crowd.

Gotta love the place. Quick service, short wait for food after ordering, and nicely set up. We ordered from senior menu. The chicken strips I had were moist and tender, yet slightly crispy on the outside. Sherry said the steak was delicious and tender. In town again, we would come back.

There was not an empty table on a Saturday evening. The waitresses were flying around like mad. She took our order, our drinks never went dry and the appetizers and our burgers all arrived timely. I couldn’t believe it. Great food, fairly priced. Those gals work hard! And there was a group of 24 right before us.

Just a small cute place. Service is excellent . My husband has been here many times and has liked everything they have cooked and he's fairly picky so I knew I better try it . Food was fabulous !! I had the donut burger with asparagus as my side and my hubby had the Italian burger w the Cajun fries . Juicy and good flavor on both . Waitress was very welcoming and always checked on us . It was not too loud or obnoxious in there with the small casino and bar in there during the day . Just an easy going cool place w good food !

Friendly services. Great food. Steak was outstanding. Same for country fried steak. Only drawback was lettuce in salad a bit wilted. Loved this spot. No good restaurants in Medora and worth the little drive outside of town.

Service was nice and speedy. Ambiance is a dive bar with slot machines. The side salad was sad and consisted of some iceberg lettuce, a tiny bit of carrots, two slices of cucumber and croutons. Skip the salad. The shrimp Alfredo was mediocre with maybe 5 or 6 tiny shrimps. The sauce was just cream. I would not recommend it. The chicken tortilla soup was very salty and only had about two pieces of tortilla chips. The BBQ platter has very tender brisket and pulled pork. The waffle fries were underdone and not crispy at all. Philly cheese steak was delish. The seasoned fries were great.

Solid 4.5. Good mix of locals and out of towners. Super friendly staff. Food took a while to come out, but that was the only negative. I got the taco salad and it was great- generous portion, freshly fried shell bowl, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, meat was well seasoned, finished with black olives and a good size cup of salsa. A sprinkle of cheese would have been perfect but it was very good. Husband got a chicken Caesar salad and enjoyed it. He would have liked more chicken but it was good overall. Two sodas, taco salad and chicken Caesar salad- $34 before tip.

You must eat here! Wasn't thrilled with the options in Madora and had to head back towards Dickinson to our hotel. when we discovered Burly's. We had the beef brisket platter with cheese hashbrowns and asparagus with Mango Cart drafts. YUM! It's the lone business in town. Great service. Excellent food and prices. Great atmosphere. You won't be disappointed.

The local bar/restaurant inBelfield, North Dakota. Most pleasant place. Amazingly busy for such a small town. Food is good people are fine too. I would recommend this place and probably give it 4 1/2 stars.

Omg, open the well worn door....a nother world beckoned us and seats, tables bar were beaming with patrons. Alas, we found a table and looked around to see what people were eating, HUGE portions, chicken fried steak. Steaks galore , salads, sandwiches. We sertl on the Fri, Sat special of smoked prime rib, but baked potatoes were out, so Cheesy has bowns was suggested with a chili soup. Sooo mouth catering tender an delicious. We felt like home with our lady of the hour. Treated us like family. ND we found to be so hospitable. What a find that's to our buddy , Yelp! ... Leave Medora and get to Belfield. It more than worth it!

Food was just so so. Veggies overcooked. Overall, the food was bland. Service was very good, though.

The chicken tenders were delicious. The waitress was excellent. We decided to come back only to find out that they were closed for Memorial Day.

Great atmosphere and awesome food. The staff obviously cares about their customers, appearance of the restaurant and quality of the food. This is a must do if you're in North Dakota.

Quite a place. Looks like Shady bar from outside but very pleasant I side. Bar seating, table seating as well as a back room. Service was prompt and friendly. Salads were good but could have used more than iceberg lettuce and 2 slices of cucumber. Smoked prime rib (fri/Sat special) was superb! One of the best prime ribs I've had in long time. Med rare cook was perfect, edges were seasoned with a light smoke, Meat was served with a garlic/horseradish spread of sorts on top. Yum yum. Baked potato was good. A little bread/roll or garlic roll would have been nice.

Amazing service with great food. Ribeye was so good! Great atmosphere with a little more upscale dining. Prices are higher but worth it.

Local bar/steakhouse. Steak was delicious, cooked perfectly. I also had the homemade beef and noodle soup and it was fantastic. Relaxed and very friendly atmosphere. Service was good. No issues. Would definitely eat there again.

Wow! The best dinner and service I've had in a long time! If I lived here, this would be my go to spot. Our server, Nadia was awesome! Nice, authentic atmosphere. I might return to North Dakota just to eat here again. BTW this is the first time I have ever written a review for anything, it was that awesome!

Wow! This place knows beef! Excellent steak. Coming from Texas, I have high expectations when it comes to beef. This place delivered. Perfectly cooked steak and perfectly seasoned. Friendly place too! When a chef can cook a medium rare steak and serve it on a hot plate and it doesn't get over cooked before you finish it deserves an award! I usually have to immediately remove a steak from the hot plate to keep from overcooking before I finish it. Damn good steak!

Celebrating our 50th State and visiting the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The smoke prime rib and rib eye steak was awesome! We are very picky about our beef, being from Oklahoma and Oklahoma cattle producers ourselves. We read the reviews and thought we better give it a try. The place was busy on a Friday night but the staff was friendly and fast. Be sure not to miss this place!

Great place to have dinner in Belfield! It was such a small town, we were surprised to find a very good steakhouse. Fun local vibe l, friendly and good drinks. Perfect after our day at Teddy Roosevelt National Park.

My husband & I stopped here on the way to the Roosevelt NP - great find. Our hamburgers were excellent. I ordered the hamburger with coffee seasoning. The cook was kind enough to put the seasoning on the side since I'm on a low salt diet. I used just a little of the seating & it was yummy.

First time eating at Burlys Roughrider and had a wonderful meal!! Everything was cooked to perfection & the service was outstanding-we will definitely be back. This place is a gold mine DONT CHANGE A THING

Great find in a quaint little town. Food and service were excellent! The BBQ platter, onion rings and pickle fries were delicious. Highly recommend!

Pretty cool place but check your to go order. Stopped in and experience is iffy - my friend ordered pulled pork but Friday night at 5 they were out- I ordered a to go order and excuse me if I expected at least 1 napkin but no . Why would you send out a to go order without any kind of extras to at least wipe your mouth, asked for extra ketchup packets and got 2 , so wow and every drink Iwe got had stop and ask waitress for. Locals probably love this place but traveling through we had a different experience.

Fantastic prime rib!!! It's only served on the weekends, but it's worth the wait. It is a bit overpriced, but that's ok with us. And the cheesy hash browns are awesome. We usually get carry out, but the inside of the bar is pretty nice. Just a casual bar with great drinks :)
