Ate here after seeing it one of the Yangon Vlogs and it didn’t disappoint. The price is cheap considering the nice interior and on point service. The food is good too! Ordered the Rice on Bamboo with Pork Skewers and it was good. I paired it with the Happy Hour Buy 1 Get 1 Beer. Overall I really enjoyed my dinner here!

Bruma Bistro is a charming casual dining spot that embodies local flair. The restaurant is divided into two floors, with the 3rd floor featuring live KTV in a low-key setting, sans flashy lighting, and the 2nd floor dedicated to dining. Prices are reasonable, and the menu has been adapted to cater to international tastes. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by a disappointing squid dish, which was overcooked, dry, and covered in greasy crumbs. Additionally, the WiFi had been down for several days, which was inconvenient during my return visit and not sure why it’s not fixed, bistro's proximity to my hotel make it convenient for me to come almost every night. The satay is unique, not the usual one you tried in Singapore or Malaysia, over here it’s a chunk of meat on a skewer served with peanut butter with chilly oil. Prepare a dental floss after meal is ideal. Other than the WiFi & the squid. I enjoyed the ambiance.

Ambience with vintage look. Chicken Curry is good and portion is okay to share for two. Beef Curry is tender and delicious; must try one here. Bamboo rice and vegetable tempura is nice to try as well. Eggplant curry with turmeric smell, it should be cooked a bit more to make it disappeared. Assorted vegetable plate didn’t meet the expectation and not attractive at all, it should include more variety of veggies than that. Tea is okay. Price is a bit overrated. Food should be improved to be in line with price.

The entrance to the building looks really sketchy but go up a flight of stairs and you will find Burma Bistro. Everything about the place seems oriented towards foreigners but the prices are very reasonable. A better deal than Rangon Tea House.

Soft and beautiful bistro with just the right decos. Very relaxing ambience. Had dinner here with friends. The food were ok..but the presentation from the chefs were creative. The waiter took care of our dinner that night did a very good job too. Great dinning experience.

Service and food quality have been maintained for many years. However, their toilet (male) has worn and no sign of being repair or upgrade. Otherwise their fusion local dishes are worth trying. Oh, their signature tea and coffee too.

Service was excellent. The staffs were very friendly and attentive. Great ambience if you needed a drink and there’s live band as well at night. Overall it was a great experience. Recommended to try the butter rice with braised beef.
