Burnside Farms is a charming and picturesque destination in Northern Virginia, perfect for families, couples, and nature lovers alike. Known for its stunning seasonal flower festivals, especially the spring tulip and summer sunflower events, this family-owned farm offers a colorful escape into nature. Visitors can stroll through acres of blooming fields, take beautiful photos, and even pick their own flowers to take home. The tulip festival, featuring over a hundred varieties, is particularly breathtaking and gives off a vibrant, European-style ambiance that’s hard to find locally. In the summer, the sunflower fields create a golden sea of blooms, attracting photographers and picnic-goers alike. The farm is well-organized and kid-friendly, with ample parking, clean facilities, and plenty of shaded areas to relax. There's also a play area for children, occasional food trucks, and small market stands with local produce and farm goods. The atmosphere at Burnside Farms is peaceful and welcoming. Staff members are friendly and helpful, enhancing the overall experience. The ticket prices are fair, and advance reservations are usually recommended during peak bloom periods. While it can get crowded during weekends, visiting on a weekday morning offers a quieter, more intimate experience. Burnside Farms is more than just a place to admire flowers—it’s an opportunity to reconnect with nature, enjoy quality time with loved ones, and take home lasting memories (and beautiful blooms). Whether you're a local or visiting from out of town, this scenic farm is absolutely worth the trip.

We’ve visited Burnside Farms several times in the past during tulip season, but this was our first time experiencing their sunflower fields, and it was such a pleasant and memorable visit. The staff were kind, helpful, and welcoming, and the sprawling fields of sunflowers made for a truly stunning sight. It’s the perfect place for portraits, with golden blooms stretching as far as the eye can see. We recommend going on a weekday a few hours before dusk, especially on a clear day—the lighting is beautiful and the fields are generally less crowded during that time. A tractor ride is available to take visitors to and from the sunflower fields, but you’re also welcome to walk the entire route at your own pace, which makes for a peaceful experience. They also offer free umbrellas for shade, and provide loppers and baskets so you can cut and take home your own sunflowers. Whether you're there for the photos, the flowers, or just a relaxing outing, Burnside Farms continues to be a favorite seasonal stop—and we’re so glad we finally got to see the sunflowers in full bloom.

Loved the summer of sunflowers event. I visited on a weekday and it was well stocked, not too busy, and plenty of parking was available. Sunflowers were plentiful and gorgeous. Other flowers including zinnias were also available to cut and purchase. Wonderful experience, definitely will be returning!

I visited the farm last night with my dog and we both had a great time. The weather was amazing and staff were so friendly and welcoming to both of us. My dog loved riding the wagon out to the fields and walking through the fields. The sunflowers are beautiful and I loved seeing the different varieties. Burnside is very dog friendly and we will definitely be back next summer!

Even though it was a gray, cloudy day, and it drizzled on our heads all throughout, nothing could ruin the beautifully placed tulips. They said over 1 million bulbs were planted and wow did it show. So many colors and types all thru out. This was my first time at Burnside Gardens and I can tell you I’ll definitely be back. I can’t wait to see their other blooms, and specifically loved the windmill. So cute

Burnside Farms’ tulip picking is a spring must-visit! Make sure to grab your tickets in advance—they sell out quickly. Come early to enjoy the blooms with fewer crowds (and better photo ops). It can get muddy, so wear sturdy shoes and a cozy sweater. A beautiful way to welcome the season!

Had a great time with family yesterday at Burnside Farms' 'Summer of Sunflowers'. They also had zinnias and cosmos blooming! You have to buy tickets online so make sure to do that before you go! There was plenty of parking and it was easy to check in. All the workers were kind! They let you borrow nippers, a basket, and a 'sunbrella' for cute pictures. Their fields were beautiful! We saw a bunch of blooming, tall sunflowers in different colors and younger ones ready to bloom in a couple weeks, so there will ALWAYS be sunflowers no matter when you go. Guinea fowl were walking in between the rows, making sure to eat all the ticks. My husband, baby daughter, and I had no ticks thanks to these feathered friends! Their checkout area has a lot of cute things like vases, stuffed animals, and knick-knacks. If it wasn't so hot we would have stayed longer - we'll definitely be visiting for their tulip festival next Spring!

Google
Very, very nice place to see tulips. Lots of nice spots for photo ops (just be patient with the lines). All the crew we met were very friendly. Just be sure to get advance tickets. We'll definitely be back for the sunflowers.

Yelp
Lots of varieties of beautiful tulips - go early in the spring in March. Tulips are past peak in April and wilting (heat kills the tulips). The rows with the multi-color variety of tulips were wilting when I visited in mid-April a few days before they closed for the season. $19/ticket is worth it! The field is quite large with 100+ rows of copious tulips, plenty of photo opp spots! The red tulips with yellow tips were hands-down my favorite, saw rows and rows of them! The bright orange and red and white mixed tulips were also quite stunning. the daffodils on the other side were very pretty. You can easily spend a couple of hours meandering around and the rows/aisles are large enough to fit large strollers and wagons for kids. There's a nice family-friendly area in the back with 2 large jumping pads and food trucks and a barn with seating. I really enjoyed the fresh delicious strawberry lemonade @Zenesis. Weekend tickets get sold out early and recommend getting them in advance. We went on a weekday. While you can cut 5 stems and keep them, we opted out as we figured the tulips would wilt by the time we got home. Looking forward to coming back next year a little bit earlier in March! Might check out the sunflower festival in the summer.

Yelp
Absolutely gorgeous flower fields - open twice a year, during Spring for tulips and again during Summer for sunflowers. Tickets are sold in advance and are timed. Fields are open rain or shine unless dangerous conditions exist (thunderstorms, hail or tornados), you can pay a little extra to "insure" your ticket price in case of illness, etc. preventing your visit. Otherwise, no refunds are given. Currently you can pick 5 stems per ticket, extra flowers cost extra. Highly recommend purchasing tickets as soon as they go on sale, weekends sell out early. We went on a week day afternoon to avoid weekend crowds. There are multiple photo ops set up throughout the fields and the flowers make a beautiful backdrop for family photos.

Yelp
We came here three years ago when the tulips were at peak and I have to say it's still beautiful with lots more activities for kids today. The flower fields here will not compare to the flower fields in Carlsbad, CA. But it's still very pretty with rows of picturesque flowers. The fields are laid out well. They even have a cute windmill where we can feel like we are in Holland haha. It is definitely more family friendly with food trucks, a playground, basketball hoops, and two moon bounces now. Their gift shop also has more cute items for sale compare to three years ago. This farm is growing and I'm happy to see that. Tickets are kind of pricey at $31 per person (it's free for kids up to 5 years old). Each ticket pays for five free tulips. Otherwise, it's $1 per additional tulip and 50 cents per daffodil. We also can't take any bulbs home so those will be cut off at checkout. I recommend wearing boots as it can get wet and/or dusty due to the weather and natural happenings. I do think the price is worth it for the gorgeous flowers, scenic view, and kid friendly activities. This is probably the closest flower field for those living in the DMV and it's a fun place to ring in the spring season.

Yelp
Thanks to Tik Tok/IG I discovered the beauty that is Burnside Farms and was thrilled to go grab some pretty tulips! Having not known about this before this week I was sad to see tickets were completely sold out over the weekend. Luckily I was able to snag some tickets at 6 am (yes it's early, yes it's worth it, yes the sell out in 5 minutes) and enjoy the "sunset viewing" on a sunny windy Saturday! The fields are beautiful and there are so many great options! People were very respectful and seemed to make good decisions with their pickings as to not be wasteful! The tickets come with 5 stems each, but we were able to purchase more for $1 a stem. Not bad at all! Some were fully bloomed while others were just getting started so you have your choice in how to build your bouquets. So take your time and fill that basket with the best options! At the end the staff wraps them in paper and sends you on your way. Just note you can't keep the bulb which seems like a recent change based on the announcements they were making. My only recommendation: buy your tickets in advance! There are no ticket sales on site.

Yelp
I just discovered Burnside Farms last year and this year I decided to buy the pass. I have not regretted this decision! The tulips are stunning...the farm is warm and welcoming. Love the fact that you can make a day of it by visiting the food trucks too! Lots of fun places to take pictures and selfies. With each pass you get 5 stems. Each additional is just $1. I've gone 2x already and plan to go back next week as well!

Yelp
I went in mid-April a few years ago and loved it! I ended up going in the later part of the season (according to the website) but it was still beautiful! It was easy to find and there was ample parking. I suggest purchasing a ticket ahead of time. With the ticket purchase I was able to take a few flowers but you can purchase more. The place was definitely busy and lots people getting their photos done but thankfully there is enough space to move around and not feel crowded. Fun to go with friends, family or significant other. Would love to go back for the sunflowers!

Yelp
A group of mom friends and I brought our littles here over the summer. It was perfect! Tons of cute stations to get in your family photos. We went when the sunflowers were in bloom and it was breathtaking. With your entry you get to pick 3 sunflowers anything extra you pay for. They also had for sale jams, candles, snacks and refreshments. There is plenty of space for the kiddos to roam and also a play area with activities such as a huge bouncy and basketball hoops. Definitely the perfect family-friendly nature inspired adventure.

Yelp
Such a great experience! Having been burned in the past by flower fields, this was well worth the visit! Despite the cold weather, they had rows and rows of untouched tulips for you to pick from! You get five tulips each. They also had plenty of opportunities for photos with props! I will be back next year when it's warmer out!

Yelp
A beautiful outing with a friend. We loved all of the gorgeous flowers and the fun photo ops throughout. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were there in a drizzly, cool day and we still had a wonderful time!!

Yelp
Went here in early April to see the colorful tulips and daffodils. It's a great spot for cute Easter pictures. Keep in mind that you have to get online tickets ahead of time, and they sell out quickly. Not to worry if you miss your chance - you'll get another shot at midnight to claim extras when they release a couple more (tickets are around $20-25). My friends and I stayed up late to snag a bunch in the prime season, even when it was a last-minute decision. Despite the warm cheery scenery, it was cold out! Come dressed and prepared! There are no indoor areas. We wanted to look cute (obviously, as we're doing photo ops!) So, we layered up for that chilly breeze. The cashier area is the only spot that is covered overhead (but still in open-air). Spring season means a lot of rain, and well - mud!! Wear boots if you can. Even if it's dry, you can kick up a lot of dust. So, overall - yes, it is a lot of work to take cute pics here. You may be tired and/or cold! You just have to prepare. But the views were a gorgeous sight to behold. My friend used to live in Holland, and she said this place transported her right back. So pretty! I love how they have many varieties of tulips in all different shades. Grab a basket and snip about 5 to take home. (Pay a little more for additional stems). Wish I brought garden shears to make a clean cut. Those suckers are hard to pull out! Try not to take out the tulip root bulb, or you will also pay extra. The bouquet you get to take home is a great keepsake for the entire week. Photo opps abound! Even with the crowds, you can to take a solo shot without people in the background. There is enough space for everyone. Also, I love how they have giant clogs where you can put your whole body in for a pic!

Yelp
I wanted to surprise my wife during the weekend in celebration of our 15 year anniversary. It's about an hour away from Fred'burg/ Spotsylvania to Nokesville. It's well worth the trip. Online there's options you select: Early bird 6a-8a; 8a-12 noon or sunset 4p. It's best to add your flower picking when purchasing your ticket, it's $10 for 12 stems or at the farm it's $1.50 a stem. We wanted to arrive early due to the temperature being 96 after 10a and to avoid longer lines. When you arrive, plenty of parking, the staff members are all friendly and knowledgeable. If you didn't bring shade they provide a sunflower umbrella and after checking in, you select your preferred flower basket. They also have area for kids with bouncy, food trucks, some shade, various fields of flowers on the left and sunflower fields on the right. This farm has approximately 70 acres and has a tractor with two wagons to pull. We both had a great time and look forward to the sunset one next year.

Yelp
Visited Burnside Farms early on a Sunday morning to see the sunflowers. It was $10 to pick 12 sunflowers. Gorgeous fields of sunflowers! There were also food trucks and a bounce area for the kids. Definitely plan to come here. Everyone is super friendly as well.

Yelp
We visited Burnside Farms earlier this year for the Festival of Spring, and seeing the tulips and daffodils was one of the highlights of the season for me. We bought entrance tickets in advance online, which included five stems each to take home (bulbs were extra). Even on a weekday morning, it was busy, but a very manageable amount of people for the space they had. There were tulips of every color and type, and they also had photo opportunities like giant Dutch clogs, food vendors, and a picnic and playground area, so spending a few hours there was easy. Hoping to visit again during tulip season or maybe in summer for the sunflowers!
google avatar

Shanell M.

Yelp
I absolutely adore Burnside Farms during tulip and sunflower season. It's the perfect place to pack a picnic basket and spend the day! Your admission allows you access for the day and you also get to pick your own flowers. Depending on the day you go, there may be food trucks or vendors. It's a great space for a solo or couples date, time with friends/family, or a space to celebrate something special. As a Golden Girl that likes simple things like flower fields, I'm forever in my element here. After you pick your flowers you can also prep your personal bouquet and they also have paper to wrap the steps or vases to put them in. In the summer, I love when they sell paletas (ice pops)! Also there are giant trampolines and a farm style basketball hoop area.

Yelp
Visiting Burnside farms is a lovely way to spend time with your friends/family/significant other. My friend and I went this past week to visit Burnside farms to experience "Holland in Virginia". The rows of tulips were simply gorgeous. The ticket price includes five tulips. The one bonus you have is that you get to keep any bulbs that become unearthed with your tulips. They also have a variety of beautiful vases for sale, but I would recommend bringing your own container if you can remember to. They do provide brown paper to wrap up your tulips in if you want to create an impromptu bouquet to give to someone. I would also recommend wearing some gardening gloves if you don't want to get your hands too dirty in the mud. I can't wait to revisit Burnside Farms soon !
google avatar

Eliza D.

Yelp
Went yesterday with a couple of coworkers and I'm so glad we did it! The tulips and the other flowers were soooo beautiful! Who needs to go to Amsterdam if you have these beautiful beds of tulips in Virginia?!
google avatar

Laura W.

Yelp
We went for the Tulips and the pics just don't do it justice. Worth the cost and drive to see Holland in Va. Wear your rain boots and have a blast walking the huge unending fields. We decided we wanted a piece of this gorgeous place so we found as many bulbs as we could at just $1 extra a bulb. Bring gloves to get those bulbs. They are pretty easy to get with a glove. Just a truly wonderful experience!

Yelp
This was my first tulip picking experience and I loved it. We preordered our tickets about a week and a half in advance, which I recommend because the tickets for weekends sell out. The tickets were $21 plus a couple dollars for fees, and the price includes you picking 5 tulips. You can pick extra tulips for $1 each. They provide baskets, so when you enter you get to grab a basket on your way in. The tulip fields were impressive, they have rows and rows of different colored tulips. I didn't realize how many different colors of tulips there were before. We got the 12pm tickets, so you could visit anytime between 12-4, that was really nice because it made the farm not feel that busy even though it was a sold out time. You'll want to dress for the weather, it rained a few days before we went and the grounds were still muddy in places. They have different photo areas set up for taking your Instagram pictures. It also looked like they had food trucks and children's activities, but we end up checking those out. Once you finish picking your tulips, they will wrap them for up for you. They also had a little gift area that you can check out on your way out.

Kalpana S.

Yelp
Do not try to be a good gardener and pick up discarded blooms. They will charge you! They say they have many varieties, but all we saw was small to medium simple flowers in red, yellow, pink/lavender and some purple. There were no ruffled tulips at all. Hardly any multi color flowers. Short stems. Just for mass effect. Good outing, but so-so quality flowers and mean people.

Yelp
Photos taken 7.23.23-first full week of the season. It was my first time as I am not a NOVA native--and it was majestic. Bottom line up front: these are the things I would do next time: Go for the festival on Fridays/Saturdays--plan to arrive between 7/7:30 when the 4pm group is leaving. Don't bother with chairs--there are benches in multiple places or try a blanket, hauling a chair will be a PITA. If you must haul, get one of those carts and add chairs to it. Don't take the shuttle unless you have to. There is only one and it doesn't take you to where all the "stuff" is--the food trucks, music, etc. if you are just there to pick the shuttle will do, but it does take forever--great view though! The lines for food and drinks are LONG. We gave up when the kitchen was "on pause" and when we left that area we bumped into the people in front of us...they had just gotten their food. We had brought drinks in a cooler and made due with cotton candy (their popcorn was way too salty). You do not need to wait in line to borrow a basket--these are free and go into the cubbies next to the line. You do need to wait in line for cutting shears and an umbrella--if you have these suggest bringing your own. If you borrow, they ask you to leave collateral--an ID, car keys, credit card, etc. Fireworks started at 9:20. We made our way back up front and watched from there, which allowed us to miss out on the excitement of escaping a full lot.

Yelp
My husband called and asked a simple question about the tulip field and one of the workers gave a snarky remark and hung up on him. This is unacceptable.

Yelp
Festival of spring review. I've been seeing pictures of fields of beautiful tulips for the past several years all over instagram, but whenever I tried to get weekend tickets, they were always sold out. This time around, I made sure to watch out for the tickets and was able to grab some for this past Sunday (April 9) for the 4pm-8pm window. The tulip season is about 3 weeks and they usually release tickets for the coming week. As one would imagine, weekends get sold out the quickest and those are also the most expensive tickets. They offer 3-4 time windows per day, which means you have to come in during that time frame, but then you can stay as long as you want to. Each ticket comes with 5 tulips, that is tulip stems - the bulbs are $1 extra (per bulb). Tickets range between $20-$25 (including tax). We got there around 4:20pm and had to stay in 10-15 min line to scan our tickets. Once in, you can pick a basket which you have to return. You immediately see the fields of tulips on a small hill and quite a few rows of daffodils which was a nice surprise. You can either walk up the hill or get on a tractor that will take you there. I think we lucked out with a lot of tulips still in good shape as I'm assuming not all were blooming the week before and a lot will be dead by next weekend or later. But there were also a lot of people there, so if you're trying to take pictures, better be patient. Better yet, come on a weekday. It'll be cheaper too! Also be prepared to have your shoes super dusty/ dirty. They only offer porta potties, but they were cleaner than expected. Overall, it was beautiful to see but it's absolutely not worth the price tag, so I doubt I'll be back next season.
google avatar

Kate Z.

Yelp
It's a bit of a drive but totally worth it! The farm offers parasols, clippers and baskets for those looking to create a bouquet. Your ticket includes three stems and you can add more for a small charge. Burnside offers a few kids activities and a huge variety of sunflowers for clipping. If you enjoy pastoral photos, this is the place. Great opportunities for family photos, engagement shoots, and just fun selfies! We had a great time among the flowers!
google avatar

Kay F.

Yelp
We loved the tulip festival! It's beautiful! Our grandchildren enjoyed jumping on the huge trampolines. We walked all through the tulips and they let us pick tulips and daffodil bouquets. They have yummy jams and honey to purchase too! There are a lot of great opportunities for photos!
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
FINALLY made it to @burnsidefarms to check out the unique spring flower festival. They plant millions of tulips and daffodils each year and your ticket grants you the freedom to roam around the farm and PYO (pick your own) . There's a reason why so many have photo shoots and engagements here - it's the perfect scenery for everything. I had such a wonderful time learning about flowers . At the end of the flower picking, you get to keep the bulb if you want to or you can trim your flowers and wrap them up. So cute!
google avatar

Ruby S.

Yelp
Burnside farms has long been on my list of places to visit! So glad I finally found time for a mother daughter trip to pick some beautiful flowers. I dont know what I was expecting, but there were so many more tulips than I thought there would be! Seeing the rows and rows of flowers is truly magical. We spent about 1.5 hours picking our perfect flowers and posing for all the photos. There were lots of colors and even some tulips thay were multicolored. They sell some food and even had an area up the hill for kids which I thought was cool! If you've been debating whether or not this is worth the trip, I say do it!
google avatar

Annie P.

Yelp
Our little family came here for the Spring Flower Festival on Easter Sunday. Tickets were only sold online and are released the week of. For the Flower Festival, there were 5 bulbs included with each ticket. The farm does a great job with limiting the amounts of people as the tickets are scheduled for a time range. The fields are very photo op/Instagram worthy! There are so many beautiful colors across the multiple rows of tulips and daffodils. My toddler enjoyed walking through the rows and touching all of the different flowers. There are also limited benches located throughout the farm as well. We're definitely planning to come back again for the Summer Field of Flowers!

Nicole S.

Yelp
Lovely and awesome staff. Beautiful experience! So many tulips ! Such a great experience to pick your own tulips - cheaper than buying regular tulips from store.
google avatar

Rebecca L.

Yelp
Came here for the sunflower festival. I expected it to be beautiful but it was straight out of a movie. They give you super cute baskets on arrival and a set of clippers. There is a hug variety of sunflowers to choose from. The festival was fun with a great band and fireworks at the end. overall a good way to spend a Sunday.

Chris W.

Yelp
Drove two hours to come to Burnside Farms. When we arrived, we realize we had a technical issue with our tickets. Instead of allowing us to purchase the tickets, they would not allow us to enter at all. This is a large farm with plenty of space and certainly any good customer service would allow two people to enter after a technical issue that they are responsible for. I would avoid this place. They are not professional, they don't know customer service and even the manager refused to meet us. This place is a racket.
google avatar

Pam D.

Yelp
The sunflowers at Burnside Farms in Nokesville were gorgeous! But wear comfortable shoes and bring water, because you'll do a lot of walking and it gets hot out there. It's a great place for pictures and/or a picnic with the family.

Yelp
Burnside Farms Tulip Festival was a great time. The staff was welcoming and happy upon arrival. The tulips weee absolutely stunning and provided a great place to walk around, picnic, take pictures, and just enjoy the beauty of your surroundings. They had fudge, snacks and cold drinks in 2 locations on the farm as well as several food trucks. The taco truck had fantastic street tacos. They were fresh, hot and full of flavor. The owner was the kindest man and so positive. We will go back for the Sunflower Festival in July.

Yelp
Experience 5/5 Price 3/5 Tickets only sold online, will not sell tickets at the door Ticket price: varies 19-22 dollars (weekends and evening more expensive) - includes 5 stems Price for tulip: $1 price for daffodil: 2 for $1 price for bulb: $1 price for tulip with bulb attached: $2 ($1 for the tulip additional $1 for the bulb) Overall, the experience was great. I loved getting to pick my own tulips and just the beauty of getting to experience rows upon rows of tulips and daffodils was worth going. My only complaints were related to the price. I had originally bought Friday afternoon tickets at $19 per person. They sent me an email stating they would be closed due to additional rain and offered to change my ticket date. I was fine changing my tickets to the next day but they said we would be charged additional $2 per person because going on a weekend is more expensive. Not really sure why you're paying more on a weekend since the experience is the same, also if you offer to change my ticket don't charge me more money. When we got ready to check out after picking, I was surprised they were charging $1 for the tulip and another $1 for the bulb as it is the same plant, this seems like double charging in my opinion. Tulip bulbs are much cheaper than $1 a piece. Overall, great experience would recommend going, but realize you will be over paying in return for the experience.

Yelp
Beautiful place to go in the summer to pick your own sunflowers, or to view the tulips in the spring.
google avatar

Ashley K.

Yelp
My family came here to see the tulips this weekend and it was fun! First, the land is beautiful with all the tulips lined up. While most people staged perfect social media backdrops, we walked around to pick flowers. Below are some tips I wish I knew: - Bring a vase or glass jar and water to put your flowers in water ASAP - Consider bring lunch to making/buying lunch and bringing it with you. - if you want fewer crowds, come early. -I would say that this place is stroller accessible but sometimes there were narrow paths that we couldn't roll down. - remember where you parked-- it feels up kinda fast .

Yelp
Came here with 2 friends for the tulip festival! I think Burnside did a good job of limiting the number of people allowed inside, for the best experience. The fields were not too crowded and each ticket included 5 tulips! At the end, they have a little market where you can purchase a vase with water for the ride home for $4. If you don't want to purchase a vase, I would recommend bringing your own as the flowers were starting to wilt by the end of our visit. Definitely a fun place to visit and I would love to go again next year!

Yelp
This place was so beautiful. The people that worked here were very kind as well. I love that you get 5 tulips for free when you buy a ticket. I wish I could see the sunflowers in the summer. I bet they will be beautiful.

Yelp
Went for the tulip picking. 5 tulip is included in the ticket. It's very pretty and worth the visit. No dog for the spring season tho!

Yelp
Sunflower fields have been on my bucket list of places to visit for a while now! This was their last weekend for sunflower field visit, and I highly recommend this location as a summer outing for next year. The $12 ticket, purchased online, covered admission, and 3 sunflowers you can pick. If you want more, you can pick more, just have to pay a bit extra. They lend umbrellas and shears to visitors - (to shield yourself from the sun and to pick the sunflowers easily!) Also baskets are available for you to hold your flowers. The field is very large so we were able to maintain a good social distance the entire time. There were sections of sunflowers that were meant more for picture taking, which were all uniform flowers in a big field. There were also sections of sunflowers of varying types that are meant to be picked. There is also a field of the very tall variety, not meant for picking, but fun to walk through. Overall, all the flowers were so beautiful, and I'm very happy with the flowers we picked. There's many good photo opportunities, so we easily stayed there for a while. You arrive within the hour of the time slot you bought the ticket for, you're able to stay as long as you want (probably you will not stay there more than an hour though, tbh). Although a bit hot (be prepared for the weather), it is beautiful especially if you go on a clear-sky day. A lot of reviews say there's a "long walk" before you get to the sunflower fields, but honestly it is not a long walk at all, max 2 minutes until you get to the sunflowers... As soon as I got home, I put my sunflowers in a vase of water and they look great and not wilted!

Yelp
Last weekend I took my mom to visit the farm filed with sunflowers for some pictures and to pick some and take home with us. The price was reasonable and you can take as many as you wanted between $1.50 each. We went during the final weekend so admission was $10 to get in so it was discounted but prior at the beginning of their season the admission to get in is higher but the flowers are included. Still enjoyed myself my mother loved it, my 2 year old ran through the fields, wasn't fond of the bumble bees but they are harmless. Would definitely go next year again for some pictures!

Yelp
Want to take cute photos? Look no further! Burnside Farms was a great place to go to in the summer while the sunflowers are blooming. Great place to take pics for the gram! Included with your ticket is the option of taking 3 sunflowers home. They provide you with shears to cut at the stem, and the sunflowers are HUGE! You can also rent an umbrella that looks like a giant sunflower (perfect for taking pictures with). You just need to give them some sort of item for a temporary trade (keys, wallets, etc) and you trade back before leaving. One mistake I did was going the day after a storm. The place was a tad muddy, but it wasn't too crazy. So I'd recommend going when the weather has been nice for a few days prior. I will definitely be coming back again next year!

Yelp
Highly recommend!! I've been here for the tulip festival in the spring & sunflower festival in the fall. The place is great! There are fields after fields of flowers to pick. They have an outdoor area at the end where you can purchased vases to put your flowers in & also have an assortment of goodies like homemade honey and jam and little trinkets. They provide baskets to carry your flowers in and have a bouncy house and (sometimes) a hay ride for children. There are picnic tables where you can bring your own food and have a picnic!

Yelp
The staff was very helpful and the sunflower fields were so full of healthy sunflowers. There were different fields with different styles of sunflowers. When checking out there was a wide variety of farmer market style jellys and sauces. Will most definitely be returning in the spring for the tulips.

Yelp
Fun afternoon at Burnside Farms. Lots of beautiful tulips in long rows across many acres. Probably my favorite memory of the day is the number of families with young children. They loved the tulips and when they selected ones for themselves (you get five flowers with each admission), most are all in on the selection effort. They also have a separate play area and food trucks helping this be a full afternoon event. Do have to warn you, it gets very difficult to stop with five flowers, so for those with weak willpower, (we brought home 15) the extra flowers are $1 each.

Yelp
Such a beautiful place to visit, especially for date night. Photographs come out beautiful in the sunflower fields. We arrived around 7pm for our time slot, and there was a line to get in. You have to pre-purchase your tickets online before hand. Some people behind us didn't have masks and were turned away. Once you're through, you have the option to borrow/buy a sunflower designed umbrella, scissors, and basket. A short walk to the sunflower fields will bring you to rows and rows of sunflowers that can be cut. Admission allows for 3 sunflowers per person, and there is plenty for everyone. It closes around 8pm, when it gets dark. The sunset is real pretty, but shortly after, the place gets so dark, which is cue for us to start heading out. Parking is right where the location is.

Yelp
I've seen a lot of articles popping up for Sunflower fields and I was happy to see there was one not too far from me. I came here on July 25th. My cousin and I got there a little after 5pm and there was not along line. Check in was a breeze because we purchased our tickets before hand so I'll we had to do was give the employee the code from the ticket. If you want an umbrella, you would need to leave an item for "insurance" to make sure you return the umbrella. There was no time limit to being out there but we didn't stat long because it was HOT! The sun was out and no shade to be found. Mostly were there to take photos. There were a long walk before you get to the sunflower fields. There's a field of flowers (not sure the type of flowers) that are good for photos. I don't think you can pick those flowers as I didn't see anyone pick any. After that, there another long walk way to the sunflowers, that has plenty to choose from. This might be a good place for a picnic because I did see a group of girls being their own blanket and food (pizza). You're able to pick 3 sunflowers per each person. The sunflowers looked great when you first pick them but don't expect them to last long. By the time I got home (about an hour later), they were wilted (sorry no pictures).

Yelp
We had a lovely trip to Burnside Farms! Though it almost didn't happen!! Do not type Burnside Farms in your apple maps as it will take you somewhere not where you want to be. Type out the address and you will be on the right track!! Once arrived there was a little long line as it was a sunny nice day! When you pay, if you need shears you have to leave your keys and they will return them when you give back their garden shears! They also let you borrow a very cute sunflower umbrella to help block the sun or you know for photo opps! It was so beautiful and we took so many pics! There were lots of bees so be careful! Bring your bug spray! We also saw a kids bounce area but we didn't go over to see it! We will visit this farm again for tulip season!!

Yelp
We went July 25th. Our time slot was for 12 pm. We arrived 12:30 pm. The line was so long! I recommend coming an hour later from your time slot to avoid the long lines. Your ticket is good for 3 hours, so if we arrived at 1 pm we would still had enough time to visit the sunflower fields. You have to wear a mask when you are in line, and umbrellas are sanitized before they give you one. Clippers are also available! The sunflower fields are beautiful . We took plenty of pictures, and took our free flowers home. The only thing I recommend for the farm to implement are signs. If they have a restroom, where is it located. They have a playground for kids, I recommend placing a sign to indicate it's location. However, I highly recommend going! When we went there, we didn't get bit by mosquitoes... compared to McKee-Beshers.
