Where to get the best sweet treats in Singapore - SilverKris

"The bakery arm of a Michelin-starred restaurant that brings the same creativity and wood-fired flair to baked goods, offering everything from stuffed doughnuts with fillings like Iranian pistachio to cinnamon rolls, savoury scones and standout cookies—such as brown butter chocolate chip and salted caramelised white chocolate macadamia—that strike a pleasing balance between crispiness, crunch and sweet‑salty depth." - Rachel Eva Lim

I often visit Burnt Ends bakery, known for its excellent donuts and other baked goods. After a disappointing experience with a donut from another cafe, I was reminded to leave this bakery a five-star review. I have tried many of their baked items and genuinely enjoy each one. My go to place for donuts and bread!

The only bakery that produce woodfired sourdough in Singapore at the moment. Priced at $17.44 incl gst, and it is exclusively available at their Dempsey branch. After a failed walk-in attempt to purchase them, I placed order online and was able to collect them 2 days later without any surcharge. The first thing you notice about this sourdough is its distinctive and very strong aroma, even through the cling wrap. It's incredibly alluring and I was so tempted to eat it immediately on my way home. Its large size also makes it ideal for open-faced toasts. At home, I lightly toasted the sourdough, and with some butter, it was simply heavens. Overall, this is definitely worth the effort to obtain.

The dough was fresh and perfect. I also tried the vanilla ice cream — smooth and tasty. I sat outside; the area is well-ventilated with fans, making it a pleasant spot to relax.

Their cookies are always a hit with the kids, soft goody centre with a nice firm exterior. Their filling filled donuts are brilliant as well, strong preference on the Iranian Pistachio and Yuzu. Tends to have a small line outside before opening time on weekends but well worth the small wait. Loads of seating outdoors to suit families with children or furkids.

Burnt Ends Bakery is a true standout in Singapore’s bakery scene. Everything here is crafted with such precision and bold flavour—it’s clear why people line up for their goods. I tried the classic vanilla doughnut and one of their signature savoury pastries (asparagus with ham), and both were unforgettable. The doughnut had the perfect pillowy texture, lightly dusted with sugar, and filled with what tasted like a silky vanilla custard—balanced, not overly sweet, and incredibly satisfying. It’s one of the best I’ve had in Singapore. The savoury pastry was next-level. Beautifully caramelised layers with a deep, buttery crunch on the outside, while the inside was warm, cheesy, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell it’s made with time, skill, and serious care. The topping of crisped cheese added an addictive texture. The space is small but well-organised, with friendly service and a relaxed vibe. It’s clear Burnt Ends Bakery takes its craft seriously, and the results speak for themselves. Whether you’re a sweet tooth or savoury fan, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu—and probably hoard a few doughnuts next time!

Honestly, this is the best donut I’ve ever had. Tried the passionfruit and vanilla one—mindblowingly good. I’m 100% coming back to try more flavors. The queue gets long but moves pretty fast, so don’t let that scare you off.

One of my favourite bakeries in Singapore. My to go spot for doughnuts and their roast beef sandwich is so good

This place has pretentious vibes, but the beef pizza slice was simply too delicious. Like some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. I think they used leftovers from their fancy restaurant next door, so the meat, etc. is very high quality. It’s in an expensive part of town that really reminds me of Calabasas, LA. There’s no indoor seating and it’s decently expensive. It’s not a warm and friendly bakery, it’s more like an “our stuff is good and we know it” bakery. Based on the vibes I didn’t wanna like the food as much as I did. But it slaps. The dark chocolate cookie is also very good. It’s still gooey inside even when it’s not warm (that always impresses me). They have a bathroom.
