This is a bed and breakfast. |The proprietor Sarah is there but in a very pleasant and totally unobtrusive way. Coffee and delicious breakfast fare available in the morning. A full refrigerator with drinks etc. All part of the price.|We rented the entire house for a graduation. Her outdoor area was nice. We made a fire one night and sat around the fire pit and that was lovely. Cook dinner there one, had catering another night.|Beds and rooms are comfortable and clear.|Furnishing very cool, bit eclectic. Spare, sleek and modern it isnt but clean interesting and cozy it is. |Walkable to campus and games|Was an excellent exclamation point on our son's four years in Ann Arbor. |Highly recommend.

Utterly charming, with extensive and eclectic artwork, colors, textiles, and furnishings. Not at all ostentatious, but intuitively and personally curated. We had a wonderful stay in The Master Bedroom, enjoying its tub and comfortable bed. Sarah and her dog, Gus, are wonderful hosts who are also friendly and generous with kindness. Breakfast was tasty and bountiful with an array of options. We stayed two nights and will hope to return in the future.

Sarah has two houses for the Inn, and I stayed at the Washington. I enjoyed the beautiful home, kitchen, garden, and the hospitality of Sarah and her kind neighbors. It was tough to leave!

We were visiting from out of town and stayed 3 nights. Location couldn't be better with a 2 block safe walk to the heart of Main Street and all the restaurants, shops, bars, etc. The Inn was clean, well kept, and comfortable. The owner, Sarah, was easily accessible for any needs. We had the downstairs "Green Room". It is located adjacent to the kitchen/dining area, so you do hear noise in the morning when other guests are at the communal breakfast table. For us it was no big deal, but might not be ideal for light sleepers who want to sleep in. Other than that, it was very quiet. And the upstairs rooms don't have that issue. Staying here is more like staying in a friend's comfy guest room than staying in a hotel. But you are free to come and go as you please, and Sarah will give local recommendations if you need info. I would stay again next time I'm in Ann Arbor. And Gus, the big lovable dog on the premises was a delight!

We rented the master suite for our honeymoon night. We were greeted with cheer, welcomed to a clean and well stocked room, and given complete privacy - sarah stays in a separate space outside of the main home. The king bed, large tub, decor, and furnishings were exceptional. Breakfast was equally great with a luxurious spread and pleasant conversation with Sarah and her friendly labrador gus. 5 star experience ✨️

Never had been to Ann Arbor and saw great reviews for Burnt Toast Inn. We like B&Bs better than hotels because it's more personal (we stored our fruit in the fridge and helped ourselves in the kitchen if we needed something) and you can meet other guests over breakfast. We enjoyed the upstairs room with the en suite bathroom. Not fancy or pretentious but homey, clean, and comfortable. Very good sized room and nicely equipped with towels, toiletries, and everything you need - plus exras you didn't know you needed but were a nice touch! Very comfortable bed, good hot shower. Sarah was helpful with restaurant suggestions and our itinerary. For breakfast, we had choices of bread, fruit, yogurt, coffeecake, coffee and juice. Sarah offered eggs and sausage but we were stuffed from eating at all the wonderful restaurants within walking distance - Main St is only a 5-10 minute walk. Great ice cream 2 blocks away. We enjoyed going to the Y 2 blocks away to exercise during our stay (paid a day fee). The neighborhood is quiet and residential. Free parking on the street. Gus the inn dog was especially friendly too :)

We stayed 2 nights in the master suite, which is very nicely decorated, comfortable and spacious. The bathroom is huge with both a shower and a large tub, with plenty of space for your toiletries. Speaking of toiletries, most things that you need are available, such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, make-up remover wipes, shower caps, and bath products. There's a window AC unit and a fan on the wall near the bed. Sarah makes you feel very welcome, and whips up a very tasty breakfast, with lots of healthy options as well. We would love to stay again the next time we find ourselves in Ann Arbor.

The Burnt Toast Inn was the perfect place for our family reunion. Its location is convenient walking distance from Ann Arbor's downtown attractions. We actually spent most of our visit at the Inn, enjoying the indoor and outdoor places to relax and the warm hospitality of our host, Sarah Okuyama and her delightful dog, Gus. Sarah provided delicious breakfasts with many treats to choose from, and her collection of curios and art objects was unusual and interesting. We would stay there again, without question.
