If you are looking for a five-star hotel room with trousers press, mini bar and swimming pool then this really isn't the place for you. Definitely stay here if you value a peaceful stay in a beautiful location with a host that cares. You'll definitely want to stay for dinner too! A carefully and thoughtfully prepared delicious dinner awaits. No choice, no menu, but that's the best bit about it....you know it will be delicious. The bedroom was lovely but starting to look a little tired, didn't detract from our stay at all but thought it worth mentioning.

Perfect in every way. Best possible stay. Idyllic location with unbelievably good food prepared by wonderfully kind and generous Pierre and Han. The private Caribbean beach for swimming followed by boiling hot baths and super comfortable beds in blissful silence were all wonderful. We had the best week of complete refreshment and can’t wait to go back.

Pierre and Han are perfect hosts. We had bad news the day we arrived and they were so considerate of us and did everything they could to help ease our pain during our stay. We couldn't have asked for more so thank you both. Such a beautiful and tranquil location with otters feeding in the bay just meters from the hotel. The wild rabbits bouncing around the gardens whilst you're eating dinner is great entertainment. The food is fresh, healthy and cooked with great care everyday, a real treat.

A treasure! Sadly, Pierre only had a dog friendly room availble for one night or I would have stayed longe. the brevity of my stay was more than compensated for by the hospitality and warmth i recieved during my stay. The food was fabulous!!!! Thoughts of Pierre's veg moussaka (cooked especially for me) still make my mouth water.

So glad we stayed at this hotel. The location, by the beach, is stunning. You can even swim in the sea there (though a bit cool). It is in a quiet remote location where you can get a feel for the real Shetland. Pierre was very welcoming. The hotel dinner was of fine restaurant quality. The room we had was spacious and light filled. Would recommend if you are looking for a peaceful escape in a comfortable location. We went up to Eshaness and Pierre was helpful with information on what to do. Our stay there was the highlight of our holiday in UK as we had come over from Australia. Also Shetland wasn't too touristy whereas the rest of Scotland was.

A very special place with a touch of magic. Pierre is a wonderful host. They cook a three course dinner for their guests every night and it is delicious. Beautiful location right at the water. Rooms are comfortable and the house has ample space to lounge and relax

We enjoyed two nights in this quirky hotel in a beautiful part of Shetland. It is situated above a small rocky cove in a great walking area. Our room was modern and well equipped though other much older areas looked tired. The food was excellent both at breakfast ( wonderful kippers) and with the no choice dinner that was beautifully cooked and presented. Definitely somewhere very unusual and well worth a visit.
