Google
Most excellent burrito place which is an outpost of the eponymous place in Juarez. This place makes everything in-house including tortillas, salsas and all the various fillings and gets the orders out fast fast fast! Their prices have gone up like every other place but the quality has stayed as good as before! If you think you don’t like chicharron or lengua….these people will make you a convert!

Google
If you’re looking for a great spot to grab burritos, this place is a must-visit! We’ve been coming here every weekend for our burrito fix, and we’ve always been impressed. The quesadillas, filled generously and priced at around $5, are simply the best we’ve had. The burritos are equally delicious and made fresh, which is a huge plus. In today’s world where food prices can be steep, this place offers both affordability and fantastic taste. Highly recommend it to anyone craving a satisfying and budget-friendly meal!

Very unorganized kitchen. I ordered and paid for something they had 86th for the day. I was not offered a refund and was told o had to substitute my burritos for different ones they demanded I pay the difference. I spoke with the “guy in charge” because no one knew where to find the manager. Little did they know that this white guy is fluent in Spanish and heard all the trash talking and the suggestion to spit in my food. The food was delicious cheap and fast by the customer service is redivision’s.

Google
The worst burritos I ever Tasted the sign says made like Juarez Chihuahua Heck no Juarez makes them Delicious we spent $28 dollars for two drinks 4 burritos and two of them we feed to our Dog the restaurant was cold all employees wearing jackets people told me it's a good place to eat no it isn't

There was a lot of cars and I assumed there would be a long wait, but I was wrong! There someone outside taking orders to speed things up. I got helped right away! The burrito was good. I got a picadillo burrito, I really enjoyed it! Definitely coming back!

Google
Burritos are regular size and have a good selection of fillings. Only problem is they always have expired bottled drinks.

Alicia “Alicia” T

Google
Disappointed, the burrito filling was good, ordered a Chile relleno and red pork. The tortillas were a big dissapontment, expected more for the price. One tortilla was over cooked and crunchy and the other was under cooked. First and last time there.

Google
Honestly in this location the guy making the burritos dosent use gloves and he makes them pretty skinny

Aaron R.

Yelp
The burritos are good. They offer a lot of options and not only the traditional wrapped ones but we can also get some nice treats like cream and water popsicles to go along with your food. The system they got going for busy weekend mornings is nice. Someone takes your order while in line (drive-thru) and by the time you get to the window you just get handed your order accompanied by the great smell coming from the kitchen. Will come back. Provecho!

Yelp
It is a sad day when the quality of a place so loved falls from grace. I ordered a bean burrito and received a tortilla with the suggestion that someone in the next room opened a can of beans. I'll no longer be going here. If zero stars were an option, I'd put that.

Pete H.

Yelp
Burritos were on the mediocre side. Out of 6 burritos 4 were uneatable. Service was fine. Ambiance was not anything special. Would I go back ? Hahaha

Yelp
Burritos Crisostomo is quite honestly one of the most recognizable restaurants in town. At least for this location. It has a massive awning that looks like it was made for a car wash painted bright yellow with its name on the side. I have lived here for over two years and I always used it as a landmark rather than a place to actually eat. After one Sunday at church, I decided to finally try the food. The burritos that I got were the Barbacoa and the Bistec de Res. The Barbacoa burrito was pretty lackluster in flavors and needed all of the sauces that were given for free. Especially the green. The Bistec de Res however was very very good. The flavor was popping and had plenty of meat in it to make a small man full (me lol). Their slogan is "slow food served fast" and I would agree with that. It is very obvious that they put time and effort into the meats and it was really cool to see them rolling out the door for the next batch of burritos that they were making. I will probably come back for a quick burrito add some points but I probably wouldn't bring a big group here. If you need a quick bite and really craving a burrito, go for it and you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
My husband and I have lived in El Paso for the last 11 years and, despite seeing this place every week, we had yet to try the food... until today. We decided to get some breakfast, and thoroughly enjoyed the food. He had a barbacoa burrito and a quesadilla with bistec de res and I had frijoles. All needed a little salt, but overall were very good. The green salsa and red salsa were both decently spicy and had distinct flavors. The crisp on the quesadilla was extra delicious. Will take my parents next time they visit.

Stephen J.

Yelp
While the staff member was friendly, my order was completely wrong. 2 burritos, 1 papas con queso (1.99 + 1.00) and 1 rajas con queso w/frijoles (4.20 Or 4.80... I forget). I got home only to discover 2 burritos with only potato filling on tortillas that were pretty dried out. No rajas of any kind, no cheese on anything. This would have been a 4.00 order versus leaving 9.00 (I tipped at the window since they were 25 minutes from closing!) I'd only been here one other time, years ago, and wasn't impressed. Today sealed the deal...

Yelp
Overall review: very decent, quick, and inexpensive location for burritos. Burritos Crisostomo is a fast-food chain of Mexican-style burritos. The burritos they serve are very good value. They are only a few dollars each, ranging from about 2-5 dollars. They are also very large and filling- they do not skimp out on their ingredients. To be honest, one or two would be enough to fill you up for lunch. The burritos themselves I would say are pretty average for the area, nothing absolutely spectacular, but still very tasty. They have a large variety of burritos- about 20 or so-including breakfast and vegetarian burritos. In terms of speed, they are extremely fast. In addition of having a drive-thru window, my food was able to come out in a blazing quick 2 minutes. They also have a salsa bar in the restaurant. I would suggest this place if you are looking for something quick and cheap for lunch.

Yelp
Was looking for a burrito and didn't want Taco Bell. This place popped up very nearby so we gave it a try. Got the chicken mole burrito, pollo, and bisteca quesadilla. The chicken mole was a bit sweet for my tastes. I got it because of the reviews recommending it. The quesadilla was great though oozing with cheese. And their tortillas are on point.

Pepe L.

Yelp
Los burritos estan increibles sin tener que ir a Juarez, la calidad, servicio y rapidez. Si estan poquito mas caros pero los vale.

Emily K.

Yelp
Great spot for inexpensive burritos. I ordered the bistec de res (diced steak, Anaheim peppers, potatoes, and tomatoes) with beans and really liked it. The tortilla was soft & fresh, and the filling had a good amount of spice to it. I also tried the barbacoa, and while it was still good, it didn't have as complex of a flavor or as much spice as the bistec de res. I have heard that the chicken mole here is the best, but both times I have tried to order it it hasn't been available. We also tried to order the lengua today, but it was unavailable as well. If you're in El Paso, I would recommend coming here for a quick bite to eat! I will definitely be back again to try and order the chicken mole.

Yelp
I am in the middle of a backyard project- namely washing down the patio furniture and cushions. I skipped breakfast because I was not hungry, then around 1130 I was Starvin' Marvin. I wanted something drive thru that was not a burger or chicken sandwich; I wanted something hot and tasty- and I wanted it now. Crisostomo is a about a two minute drive from me so I hopped in my car and went. I ordered the meat and cheese quesadilla and the potato and cheese burrito. They did not disappoint. For those who want a really big burrito, $1.50 extra gets you extra filling. My order was pretty filling but if I was just getting one item, I would opt for the extra filling. The place smells amazing as you pull up and makes you even more hungry! For the price, it is a great deal and your food comes out fast- now back to my yard work so I can burn off these well worth it calories!

Yelp
Best Burritos in Town. Their only drawback is different Cooks / Different Heat / Tastes. If ever they had consistent standards they'd rule the World but ever since they moved here from Juarez one day they're Mild and the next Spicy.

Michael A.

Yelp
Not crazy about their burritos. I usually go to this location for convenience and to avoid driving too far out. Pricing is okay. I normally pay $7-8 for two small burritos. I wish they would make larger burritos and just charge a tad more. Staff is nice but when they have a line at the drive-thru, I've waited up to 15 min just to get my food. Other than that, their barbacoa burrito is pretty great and my personal favorite. I also like their breakfast burritos.

Tonie L.

Yelp
These are some of the best burritos in town. Every time I am in El Paso, it is my first stop on the way in and always stop in my way out to take burritos for the road back home.

Sa F.

Yelp
$5.21 for my burrito i used to go to crisostomo a lot because of the good flavor. Prices where very expensive for a burrito but still was worth it. Now the flavor is disgusting and the price is very ridiculous!...

Vianca R.

Yelp
Price is very cheap for burritos. Burritos themselves are so bland, and I'm obsessed with Mexican food -- both authentic and the more "modern fusion" style ones. Nevertheless it's so weird that I have to take the burrito apart to add extra ingredients inside it after it's already "wrapped". The salsas are also flavorless; just a bunch of spice but you can't taste the good stuff usually associated with salsas like the cilantro, the cebollitas, etc. The meat on most of them look very questionable too. I played it safe and got barbacoa but like I said. Just meh. Way better Mexican spots in the area

Mabel S.

Yelp
After driving past this place almost everyday on North Mesa, I finally stopped in for a burrito. I was tempted to try a barbacoa burrito from reading other reviews, but decided to try something new and ordered a deshabrada burrito (shredded brisket with Anaheim pepper, potatoe, and tomatoe). I ordered dine in, and picked up my food within 2 minutes. Like their slogan says, "slow food, served fast". You can't get a better burrito for $2.20. I'm glad I also ordered a medium horchata. There was definitely some kick to the deshabrada. It's great that there's a drive through. Next time I need a quick bite, I'll be back for the barbacoa burrito.

Eva V.

Yelp
I am shocked by the mediocre ratings and hope that anyone reading this will trust that these are the best value burritos around. Crisostomo's name in Greek means "golden mouth" and is quite fitting and clever for a restaurant of this caliber. There is no fuss or frills, each burrito is quite large and ranges from 2-4 dollars and beans are included. I highly recommend the lengua with added aguacate- the flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture is unbeatable. Honorable mentions are the barbacoa and dishebrada. My hubby is a huge Crisostomo fan and would like to sport a baseball cap with the cute donkey logo if any higher ups are reading this.

Cailyn W.

Yelp
Crisostomo reminds me of my mom picking me up from school and taking me to get an afternoon snack. My go-to (as a vegetarian) is always their yummy avocado burrito with horchata. The burrito always hits the spot and is so appreciated as most places have virtually no options for people who don't eat meat. Their horchata is great as it's not too sweet nor bland. Def recommend this place as one of my favorite drive thrus in El Paso that's perfect for a fast snack.

Sergio H.

Yelp
Horrible food, horrible taste, very limited portions, not what it used to be, will not return again any time soon, my recommendation try Vista Market Burritos!!!!

Tonia S.

Yelp
Best burritos we have ever had. Limon drink also not too sweet not to tart! Will be back!!

Russell S.

Yelp
I've been here (drive-thru) on several occasions, and wonder why I go back. My experience as been hit-n-miss; some items are decent, others are not. One of my main gripes is that most of the fillings are soup/stew-like which creates a soggy mess of a burrito. Much better (and bigger) burritos can be had for the same price. I usually stick with the "Raja's con Queso" or "Pollo a la Mexicana". I can't say that I care much for any of their other offerings.

Jaime V.

Yelp
Ever since I moved to Dallas, this is what I crave the most from Juarez, a family owned burrito stand that opened and has gotten so famous over in Cd. Juárez it has now crossed over to El Paso, TX. They have been famous, inducted to the Guiness hall of fame for having the fastest burrito maker in the world, and its just a tradition back home to go here for breakfast. You can't get more authentic, hand made tortillas, and whole traditional mexican dishes, you won't get any yellow cheese here or lettuce or other insulting text mex things. Taste the Barbacoa or Winnie burritos. If you can't pay a dollar for a soda, you're probably living on the street and eating garbage quesadillas.

Emilio M.

Yelp
Good burritos. The staff is friendly and they are pretty quick service. I highly recommend stopping by for breakfast.

Claudia B.

Yelp
This is a Juarez institution since the last 20+ years, and I'm delighted that it's now on the Westside of El Paso. The flour tortillas are made by hand and delicious, they are honest to goodness the best flour tortillas that I've tasted (and they taste identical to the original Juarez recipe). The guisados (burrito fillings) are less spicy and have a milder flavor than their original recipe...BUT, that is a GOOD THING! I prefer a less spicy guisado and the company took into consideration that this is an American market. The aguas frescas are delicious and refreshing. I was told that the tamarindo and jamaica are not available anymore, because they can't import the product they use or find a comparable source here in El Paso and you know what? THAT IS GOOD BUSINESS SENSE. They aren't willing to downgrade in flavor or quality. Bottom line: If you are looking for authentic, slow cooked, Mexican food with fast food convenience....look no further.

Mario B.

Yelp
Just tried this place for the first time today I was skeptical cause I kept seeing bad reviews on the Barbacoa burritos but I stuck to it and tried it and this is exactly what Barbacoa is. I think most of the bad reviews come from others confusing Barbacoa and Birria. Barbacoa is a simple stew dish and slightly moist while Birria is the more complex one with deep flavors and a lot juicer. The Barbacoa here is delectable with its strong and deep beefy flavor lightly salted (as proper Barbacoa should be) and then wrapped in a warm tortilla with onions and cilantro. I have to say my hopes weren't high but I'm glad I ignored the reviews and still went with the Barbacoa as it is one of my favorite meats. Can't talk about the service or ambiance since I had my wife pass by to pick them up but the burritos themselves 10/10 would prefer to see extra onions and cilantro but I'm sure I could just ask for more. Salsa was bland and too Smokey spice was definitely there which i enjoyed but not enough flavor on it overall I am very satisfied

Mike G.

Yelp
I came here on 4th of July before I was heading out to White Sands. The service is great, I can't believe how attentive they are for a fast food restaurant. Since I was starving, I ordered the Mole, Lengua and Huevo con Rajas. Both Lengua and Huevo are good, but the best one is probably the Mole, IMO. My only "complain" is the coffee is boiling hot, I almost burned myself even after I left it cool off for few mins. Great joint for breakfast, highly recommend it.

Mannie S.

Yelp
If you dare to eat lengua, I give 5 star for there lengua burrito with guacamole. I bring friends and families from out of town here just for there lengua burritos. The rest of the items are OK, nothing specialy. If they are out of lengua on that day, there is a good chance I will just leave.

Tanya Y.

Yelp
First and most importantly is the fact that Crisostomo's limonada is seriously on point. Top notch, on point. Try it! Oh and if you want it for FREE, just check in on Facebook. I haven't been inside, but this is the place that everyone talks about on Yelp so I needed to try it. Luckily this one is on the way to my work and I find myself craving burritos (at an amazing price) almost every morning. I've tried the Pork in Red Chile Sauce, Potato with Cheese, and a Beef something or other (I'm fully aware the names are actually in Spanish, but whenever I use the names of dishes in Spanish Yelp marks my review as a Spanish review...it's just confusing for everyone). I've liked all the ones I've tried and I'm quite fond of their tortillas...do they sell those things by themselves? I'll seriously buy a pack. Or four. This place moves fast too. You order, drive up, pay, BAM...there's your food all hot and what not. Great place to pick up a burrito or two, especially if you're on the run.

Juan A.

Yelp
great service, i love the egg and rajas. the place is very spacious and well kept. they always treat me well and give great food.

David T.

Yelp
I've been meaning to try Crisostomo for a while as I've heard good things. Unfortunately, I really don't get all the praise. I can see the value of Criso in the speed of food production, low cost, and ease of its to-go drive thru. But the food is only so-so at best. They serve bfast (in addition to rest of menu) until 1100. And I was starving so I ordered the mole burrito and eggs and chorizo. Positives first. Tortilla was very fresh (you could see them making the tortillas inside). For the price, you get a lot of food. Its been mentioned before but I'll repeat it, credit cards add an additional charge (for my order it was just .50 cents tho) so use cash if you got it. When I ordered, the only customization (that I was offered at least) was beans or no beans. I got beans on both. I ordered their lemonade cause I had read it was really good. Food was out in less than 3 minutes. Ok now for the less than good. They offer two salsas, red and verde. Both were extremely watery and lacked flavor. Red sauce def had some heat to it but the texture and lack of flavor really turned me off. The lemonade needed more sugar and lemon as tasted like water with just a hint a lemon. I found both the mole and the chorizo and egg to just be very bland. I felt like I was eating a tortilla with some paste in side of it. Extremely greasy paste. I like the idea of Crisostomo and they have an extensive menu so I imagine I'll give it another shot in the future. But I was not impressed today.

Lisa R.

Yelp
Ohhhh yeah - juicy and flavorful meat stuffed into house-made tortillas....yessssss! On our El Paso vacation, my sister-in-law and brother-in-law mentioned that Crisostomo is very popular across the border and luckily opened up not too far from their house. We originally went by at 7:55 PM on Saturday night to find it closing down (bummer) but decided it would be lunch on Sunday. Sunday, we all peered at the online menu. Everyone wanted to try 2 burritos but I was not sure how big they would be. We got the orders (the in-laws wanted breakfast ones but it was after 11 AM, so we got contingent orders figuring breakfast would be over, which it was). We were greeted with a hearty "Buenos tardes!" and proceeded to order 7 burritos and 2 horchatas. The staff seemed amused with us because we ordered so many for 2 people, but it was really for 4 people and we took it to go. You can choose to add frijoles for free to each burrito. They did not have guacamole unfortunately, which would only have been 50 cents per side order. Burritos are around $3 and there are 15 different flavors after breakfast (3 specialty,12 regular menu) plus 3 breakfast ones. We got 3 chicken mole, 1 lengua, 1 barbacoa, 1 deshebrada, and 1 chile relleno. When we got back to the house, the s-i-l and b-i-l loved their horchata. My b-i-l said the deshebrada was spicy. The lengua was my choice and it was juicy, tender, and included diced potatoes and green chiles. Mmmmm! It had a little zing to it. Eric R. promised to share his barbacoa with me, and he said it was the hardest thing he ever did to give up half of it to share! It was very yummy, oozing with grease but heck, we only live once! The meat melted in the mouth. I would definitely come back here - it is quick, cheap, and tasty. CASH ONLY!

Jacquelynn R.

Yelp
Homemade tortillas are my favorite!!! Good quality Mexican food, and aguas.... Its like grabbing burritos from Juarez. This place has been around for a while but this is my first time trying it... no doubt I'm coming back!!!

Misha T.

Yelp
Great breakfast burritos. I especially liked the green chili one. The tortillas have that great crispy texture that lets you know they're fresh. At $2-3 each it's almost highway robbery. I also like that the sausage one is called the weenie.

Mary O.

Yelp
Yyyaaaaakkkk!!!!! I asked for one with chicharrón, Lengua y deshebrada........!!! OMG horrible!!!! All of them tasted the same, but not good!...no flavor! The tortilla super white like Cruda. And not only that...the price!...,too expensive for the Kind of food...never going back...sorry

Adna S.

Yelp
If you all are craving burritos crisostomos on MESA is the best. Do not go to the one on restler I've tested this out multiple times, the one on restler does not have the same love as the crisostomos on Mesa.

Jam C.

Yelp
Good quesadillas Watch the Two Flames are spicy $2 - $3 for most items Fast Service Will return

Chrystal G.

Yelp
Tried this hyped up burrito place and was greatly disappointed! Probably because we dined in and saw someone who prepares the food wiping his nose not once but twice.. We threw our food away and left.

Bernice A.

Yelp
So I've had burritos from here in the past and they are delicious. I have always gone only to the drive through. Today we decided to get down and eat inside. First of all when I was done paying one gentle man that was making the tortillas rubbed his nose with his hand! He didn't wash his hands after that and continued to make tortillas! Disgusting!!!! then my burrito didn't taste that great the meat from the chicharrón was hard like burnt. Also none of workers wear gloves or mask to cover their mouth they are talking and laughing right in front of the food. Gross!! They shouldn't be handling food this way! Wash your hands! Wear gloves! Also some of the workers had long hair and didn't have it picked up properly. People wear a tight pony tail and bun with lots of hair spray

Nina K.

Yelp
Great burritos! I ordered rajas con queso and papas burritos....both were good! The service at the drive thru was very friendly and fast.

Miranda B.

Yelp
hey I LOVE THESE GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! go here for breakfast and taste the best way to wake up in the morning! My Sig other and I have enjoyed some tasty green chili burritos that have knocked my socks off, and not only did they stuff us with food, they gave me a free home-made drink just because I'd never heard of it and wasnt familiar with what it was. Now THATS kind. They will continue to get my business from now on. Did I mention they are super clean and reasonably priced? You simply cant go wrong with these guys.

Jess R.

Yelp
SO YUMMY! Handmade tortillas, greasy chorizo beans, every filling is delicious. I usually go for rajas con queso or just frijoles con queso, but the meaty burros are also good (barbacoa!). I crave these burritos, but I'm sad that they close so early. ++ horchata y tamarindo!

Terese C.

Yelp
Ok, so this is only my 2nd time having burritos in El Paso since moving here. The breakfast Huevo con Rajas with guacamole was great. The flour tortilla is handmade by 2 people, and that is all they do! The tortilla is outstanding! The gentleman who waited on us at the counter, was so customer focused. We told him it was our first time there as it took us a while to figure out what we wanted. He gave us complementary Horchata & Jamaica! Wow, those drinks were extremely flavorful. The cook down rice, and add cinnamon & sugar to make Horchata - so delicious! The Jamaica is a flower they boil in water, strain, and add sugar. Apparently, this drink is good for your liver. This is a place I'd definitely return to & bring out-of-town guests.

Monica A.

Yelp
Cheap but average! In a city full of breakfast burritos it's hard to stand out. They didn't come with any salsa containers either. I got the chicken mole and it was just okay. More greasy than flavorful. Chili rellano is much more worth your 2 bucks and taste buds!

Alex O.

Yelp
Not the best if you dont eat meat. Not very much of a selection. Been told by several people this place is great. Came in and asked a bunch of questions just to be sure i dont get sick from cross contamination. The cashier got frustrated with me. Walked to my car and realized i forgot a drink. Came back and the doors were locked. Its 530pm. Yelp says they close at 9pm. Im not sure what the hype is here, but i was not amused at all.

Ana M.

Yelp
Awesome burritos! Would prefer queso asadero instead of muenster but... Theyre good! The building is absolutely terrible though. I don't know how it was allowed to be built..

Elsie E.

Yelp
First time visiting El Paso from Dallas and was told about this spot. The burritos are SO good! Dallas needs a place like this.

Scott K.

Yelp
Not the best burritos in town by any means. However, the service is typically pretty fast and at around $2-3 you're not out much if you don't like it. I used to go much more often, but I've found better places near by and over the last several months the quality of the food seems to have been going downhill. They have many options for combinations in your burrito or quesadilla, but they're often out of things (including huevos con chorizo at 9 am this morning) which is disappointing.

Jacques R.

Yelp
Surprisingly good. The exterior of the building is way too ostentatious for a local burrito joint but inside, that's exactly what you'll find. I'll go ahead and slap a "For Mexicans Only" label on this one. Unless you like vicious spice, and unpronouncable (for a white guy) experiments in pork, this ain't your place. But for those of us who say Chicharron with an extra 'r', and laugh at jalapenos from a can, this is a great lunch option. I really wish they were open later, though. This is an ideal candidate for an all-night local eatery.
