Burton - Telluride

Matt and the team at Burton Telluride are knowledgeable, helpful and passionate. They set me and my two boys up on three new and ex demo boards and we extremely accomodating with allowing us to try out different boards to ensure we got the right board and gear setup. Thank you for an amazing experience. Our trip to Telluride has been enhanced by my positive experience at the Burton Mountain Village store.

We came in with 20 minutes to close with a group of 4 all needing fitted for rentals, Matty helped us out and was kind and knowledgeable. Stayed 30 minutes after close and the doors were locked to get us what we needed to hit the slopes the next morning. Cannot recommend this place and Matty enough!

Bought stepins at a ski shop near home. They didn’t fit the boots properly so my feet hurt. Matt the manager heated them no charge and changed my life. No more pain. Highly recommend going here. He knows his stuff and has great personality!

These guys working here literally are the biggest jokes. They treat you like they are doing you a favor. I always tip at least 20-40 per renter. But never here. I am writing this review because this is two years in a row we made a reservation. Went in and the guys treated my young son (who only says please and thanks and yes sir and yes ma’am) like a piece of $hit. These kids are destined for nowhere with no customer service experience. Do not go here!!!!! There are other shops in town where the employees treat CUSTOMERS like…. well customers. These kids clearly have no management oversight and are just kids with horrible attitudes and sadly no futures. To the manager you are welcome to call me as I would like to know how you still have a job. My last name and phone number are in your computer. I will also call Burton and Vail Resorts.

Matt hooked me up! Walked in after significant equipment failure for my personal gear and walked out with one of the first rental Step-On binding systems for my board. Matt was an incredible help and made sure I was amply prepared to use the gear. Once I was able to get on the slopes, the system worked fantastically! Can’t say enough for how positive my experience was.

Great experience at Burton in Telluride. Bought board, boots and bindings and had great advice from Matt including the chance to test the board out for a day. Really helpful and knowledgeable.

Matty was all over it. Put me in the best board and bindings I’ve ever used and will likely buy. Listen to him. He gives good instruction and means what he says.

Matt is awesome!!! Very attentive to everyone in the shop and always greets you upon entry, remembered my name from meeting once! These are the employees we need to keep around!

Burton rocks! Seriously, Burton became our go-to when they offered a free rental "Demo-Day" of their step-on binding system for snowboards a couple or more years ago at Telluride Ski Resort. Once we tried them out...hellz yeah! It was a total game-changer for us. The quick release and total ease of getting in and out of them was incredible! Beyond that, they are super responsive and for me personally, I had better overall control of my bindings/boots/board. Shock-ab is good and you can step on just as you get off the chair lift and you're good to go! So this season after many years of boarding, we finally bit the bullet and bought our own gear. Our guy Ethan hooked us up with some sweet "end-of-season" sale equipment! He was super knowledgeable, professional and made sure we were investing in the right gear. Can't thank him enough! Once you go "Step-On" you'll never go back! ;-)

This place was great. Matt was a real pro and walked me through everything with my rental. We talked about several boards in relation to my ability and the conditions and what might be a good match. It was my first time riding step-on bindings and he wouldn't let me leave until I successfully got in and out of the board a few times, which I appreciated (and also helped when I was on the mountain). A+. Hope to be back soon.

Matt and Ethan are great guys and they are incredibly knowledgeable and helpful! I've been riding for 35+ years and, as a Burton loyalist, I'm very familiar with the brand, its stores and its products. They make the best snowboarding equipment...period. So much time and money goes into R&D and testing. This is far and away the best Burton store and best source for gear that specifically suits your needs according to riding ability, preferences, budget, etc. HIGHLY recommend!!!

It's 3:30pm and you can't rent anything?!? Even tried to purchase 2 boards, bindings and boots. No help here whatsoever. Stay away! If the sales people don't want your business just close the store. What's the point? Lifetime Burton customers. Go to BootDoctors and grab a Jones board. They seem to actually want you to be there.

Besides the guy at the front being a passive aggressive jerk... This store sold me defective Bluetooth headphones and refused to let me return them. They said they were owned by vail company and not burton store and therefore could not replace broken items they sold me. Absolute trash, overpriced store, with rude people. Will cancel my payment with Amex. Was kind of business sells something broken, and refuses to replace it...absolute joke. Avoid at all costs!

Matt made it really easy getting my board set up just right. He also waxed my board and was able to talk about the product discussing the benefits of buying Burton. Next time I'm in Telluride will be back to talk shop and what are the best places for those who want the full experience

Jorn and Matt were so awesome to me yesterday when I was in a pickle. Needed some help with a board and they went out of their way to make sure I was ready for the snow. If you're in Telluride and need help with a snowboard problem, go to Burton, and ask for Jorn and Matt.

Let me preface this with I have abnormally wide thick feet with high arch, fitting shoes of all types is difficult especially boots but my true size is a 9.5-EEEE went in too buy a wide fitting snow board boot which i understand is an un common request one employee I believe his name is Trevor was very helpful in recommending a boot that comes in a wideand getting it fitted the boots seemed to be ok but still a little tight in the toe box I was worried that they might cause a problem but was pressured into purchasing them by another employee I can't remember his name maybe John big guy looks like he's on steroids basically told me that these were the only possible boots I could fit into and that my concerns about width were unfounded none the less I was concerned so asked about the return policy and they said 24 hours as long as the boots were undamaged so I bought the boots 416 dollars later ware them out of the store for a walk around mountain Village within 30min I could tell these boots weren't going to work for me my feet were throbbing and felt like bricks went back in and "john" if that's his name first told me that was I was wrong and the boots just needed to be broken in and that he wouldn't return them when I mentioned that they said I could return them with in 24hrs he said "were you one of those kids who thought they knew everything thing when growing up" I didn't know how to respond and he's just walked away and proceeded to help other customers while i stood there dumb founded... finally about 30 mins go by and finally another employee asks me what I want to do to which I replied id like to exchange for the next .5 size up he informed me that they didn't have this size and I said I'll have to have my money back at this point John finally yet grudgingly made a refund to me... all in I would have loved to buy a bigger boot from the kid named Trevor who was setting up rental boards but the Roid raging ass hole pretty much ruined that for me

Great customer service at Burton, especially with Matt. We went in to fix a snowboard binding, and he was very helpful and talked us through what he was doing. The store was busy, yet we still were in and out quickly. Would highly recommend for snowboarding needs!

Amazing guys. Broke my heel strap today and they gave me a replacement to help me get back on the mountain. This is what the snowboard community is all about!! Thank you to all the guys at burton telluride. Trip from Cali was saved thanks to you guys

Jorn helped me a bunch this morning as I needed help with mounting my bindings! I thought it was impossible and he had it done within 5 minutes! Stop in!!!! :) So Happy!

Great selection of demo boards with knowledgable and extremely friendly staff. Would definitely go there again. Great selection of goggles and other goods too.
