Good evening fellow bushers, My friend and I stayed in the Bush on the 30/12/25. We originally had an apartment booked for 6 but only two of us could make it on the day. They were understanding and could not issue a refund as we booked through booking.com. However, they granted us a compensatory breakfast for the inconvenience (which we badly needed from the night out 😂). Overall, the stay was lovely. Beds were comfortable, and both receptionists were lovely. The food was amazing shout out to the chefs - bit pricey- but alas we move. Finally, the young bar man (Jon Joe) was very attentive and friendly…made the bar an inclusive warm environment. Finally, I would like to thank the manager for assuring everything was okay the following morning, I willl definitely be returning, Regards Luke. . Happy new Year bush 🎉

I was never looked after so much in a hotel, when I checked into my room the radiator was broken it was roasting and Liam came up tried to fix it, it couldn’t be turned off he said no way could someone stay here it’s unbearable heat so he gave me another room and helped me with my bags such a gentleman. The lovely Julia helped me out with batteries for the to remote. On check out myself and 5 colleagues from Jimmys Superstore in Carrick came to have dinner and got great service from Joseph and Denise. I will be booking back in here for work again next week and I look forward to my stay again. I’ am also an independent travel agent so I definitely will be recommending The Bush Hotel to my clients should they need a place to stay in Carrick on Shannon

Stayed for 2 nights recently. It’s full of character and charm, cosy warm bedroom, great breakfast. Helpful pleasant staff. Lots of parking and 2 electric car chargers and they even charged my car for free overnight! Highly recommend.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Excellent location within the town with large car park to the rear. Nice quiet room at back of hotel with lovely comfy bed.|My only complaint would be the breakfast, ordered the full irish which stated 2 sausages and 2 bacon and the usual items..|We got only 1 of each, sausage and bacon which left us both still a bit hungry but it was piping hot and fresh and we could have pointed it out to staff but we didn't! Also orange juice was clearly diluted orange..Maybe they ran short of items, would still stay again as its good value for money and has alot of character to it..

Reception desk staff were very helpful and informative, seeing as I was an evening arrival 8pm or later, I met with possibly a night porter, but the young Irish gentleman was efficient at checking me into my room in what seemed like under 1 minute, possibly one of the fastest check-ins I've experienced. The late night porters had their hands full when we all arrived back after all bars and clubs had closed..and were still very friendly even thought there were groups of drunk non-residents arguing at the doors trying to gain entry to the hotel. Thought of giving a 4 star review, because I rang reception desk a few hours previous to my check out time, on a quite Sunday morning, badly in need of a later checkout time, but was told was not possible due to housekeeping schedules, and the breakfast was basic enough, luke warm everything, arrived within 20 seconds of ordering from a bain Marie, one piece of everything, but to be fair.. I couldn't taste it anyway, the shots and varied drinks the night before had scared my taste buds into hiding. Treat the staff here respectfully and they'll go the extra mile for you, and they work hard at weekends because it's a party town, so don't make their more difficult than it needs to be. Would return here no questions asked

We were there to celebrate a birthday. All the staff were very nice and friendly. The food was very good and the portions were more than generous. We will definitely come back.

Stayed here as we had a wedding in another hotel so location was great. But for the price we paid I was seriously disappointed with the lack of upkeep in this hotel. The place needs a good refurb over all. Our room alone needed a ceiling repair from a leak, painting, new taps and shower door etc. Really didn’t like all the news articles and picture frames nailed to the bedroom wall and the picture frames all split from the nail. So weird. Nobody needs to see faces like this trying to sleep. Was creepy. The hotel needs more attention to detail to be charging that money. We were charged 4star hotel resort prices and this was more faulty towers. What’s worse is the staff. The house keepers sitting on bedroom windows on their phones when guest check out to all the stairs and no lift to our room. Should have been told this is advance. Would have overlooked the disrepair of this hotel if I paid half the price

My experience staying in the Bush Hotel was unsatisfactory. 3pm check in but the room wasn’t ready until 3:30pm. When I walked into the room after finally checking in, the door handle was hanging off on the inside. The room was very basic and terribly dated. The bottle of water was a glass bottle filled with tap water and when I left down my suitcase flat on the floor I couldn’t walk around the bed. The bathroom was also “compact “ and basic. The headboard was a sheet of plywood with holes from wall plugs and scratches all over it. I was charged €179 for the night without breakfast included. The staff were flustered and stressed out at the reception desk and one member was quite rude to another member of staff who was hoovering the stairs. To get to the car park provided by the hotel I had to drive around town and it took over 10 minutes to just park the car in busy weekend traffic. The location was central and within walking distance of most amenities and despite the decor of the bedroom it was clean. I felt the price did not reflect the cost. I wouldn’t be rushing back to the Bush Hotel.
