Bush Hotel Farnham

We celebrated a special anniversary at the Bush Hotel with 30 guests at a recent lunch party. All the preparations, provisions, food and service far exceeded our expectations. Staff were friendly, polite, charming and thoughtful throughout. It was a great success, not the least due to Hannah and Francesco's help and guidance at every stage of planning. We would have no hesitation in recommending this venue.

Beautiful hotel. We stayed here the night before my daughter’s wedding which was being held at a nearby wedding venue the next day. We arrived in torrential rain and had SO much stuff to unpack! The staff went above and beyond to help us unload and get everything to our rooms. (They also helped take everything back to the car again in the morning ready to transport to ths wedding venue.) We had a lovely meal in a private dining room. Food was excellent. I chose to have breakfast in my room (£5 ‘tray charge’) which is fair enough. It was delivered on time and was still really hot. I had requested an accessible room (only the day before but they were able to accommodate this) There are no lifts. Room was lovely with a huge well equipped Wet Room. It was a long walk from the main entrance/ bar/ restaurant so bear in mind if you have very restricted mobility. All in all our stay kick-started the weddibg weekend off brilliantly. Thank you- all the staff were fantastic. Keith and Kat in particular were so helpful! Would definitely recommend.

We had our ‘celebration’ of my mother-in law’s life at The Bush after the funeral at St Thomas’ church in the Bourne on Wednesday 15th October 2025. We met with Hannah and Megan beforehand and decided to use The Oak Lounge, as it is such a comfortable and welcoming space. We had approximately 45 guests and we chose the ‘Afternoon Tea’ menu. When we arrived it was a nice touch to have the staff taking people’s coats and showing us into the room. Everything was set up as we had wanted and the food, coffees and teas were excellent. The sandwiches were delicious and commented upon by our guests and the warm scones and cakes too! Not knowing quite how many people would come along meant we had to estimate numbers but I’m sure we got it right and there was plenty to go around. Take away boxes were made available at the end and the last of the food quickly disappeared for our guests’ journeys home. Such an occasion is obviously very emotional but Hannah and the staff took the stress out of our hands. They were subtly in the background replenishing food and Hannah made a point of checking with us to make sure everything was ok. Having the bar available meant guests could have something a little stronger should they wish to, and many did! The Oak Lounge, the Afternoon Teas and the general setting of The Bush Hotel was a very fitting tribute to a very refined and well loved lady.

We went here for a (afternoon) high tea with friends and family. Very pleasant surroundings and comfortable seating. Excellent service also. We were a gluten free and a gluten intolerant. They were thrilled with their food as were we. There’s a lovely patisserie next door with identical cakes which were top notch. My only reason for a 4 instead of 5 was because the hotel had a large wedding party as a Saturday. Not that it was spoiled in any way but just busy.

We loved everything about this hotel. The accommodation was comfortable, and the setting stunning, almost like a country house in extensive grounds while actually located in the centre of Farnham. The staff, every single one of them, managed to hit the perfect tone - friendly and helpful but never overly so. Great breakfasts too!

We organised a dinner dance at Bush hotel for a group and paid our deposit. A few weeks later, the hotel cancelled our booking as they said there weren't enough people to hold the event on that night. There are 5 other dates for the same event but they didn't offer us any, they said they were all full. They said we could have dinner instead but offered no discount, just the normal rate. They refused to give us our deposit back when we asked and instead would take it off the cost of the meal. We obviously weren't obliged to book a meal at the hotel and some of us didn't want to do the meal and wanted their deposit back. It's very poor treatment of good customers (we attended with a group last year) and leaves a bad taste at having to fight for the deposit. They have offered us nothing after cancelling our booking and disappointing our Christmas party plans. Not even a free drink with the meal we have booked as a poor alternative to the dinner/ dance. And on top, to refuse to give us our deposit - a legal requirement! It has put me off the Bush hotel and prompted me to write this review to warn others.

We attended the bush hotel in farnham for a wedding at the venue, and it was absolutely beautiful,, the staff were very friendly and helpful if you had any questions, our room that we booked for the night was stunning, very clean and modern, we absolutely loved it, and the breakfast we had the next day was the best hotel breakfast we have had! We would deffinately stay again and we would like to go back just to have their roast dinner which we had as our main meal for the wedding day,, it was the best roast, their roast potatoes were amazing! It was worth every penny we spent, and the bar where we bought our drinks wasn't very expensive either. We could not hear any of the traffic from the town of farnham when getting into bed either, and the place itself was very calm and lovly to be in.

I stayed here for 2 days whilst running a training event in their conference centre. The manager was always on hand to ensure the event ran smoothly, which it did. |The room was fresh, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. I had breakfast both days and the a la carte menu items were delicious - just wish I wasn’t at work and could’ve lingered longer.
