I had my Birthday Lunch here. The communication throughout was amazing and they were really helpful in assisting me book and choose meals for my guests. The service was 100/10. Very kind, patient staff. The food was amazing, they prepared the table for us, allowed us to bring cake and serve it for no extra charge. I had to tip properly though, because why not?! This is my favourite restaurant in Phalaborwa, and they never disappoint. <3 <3 <3

We went to the restaurant here after driving through Kruger and it was really amazing. Initially we weren't sure if the price was worth it (I'd say you need R200 - R300 per person), because we randomly decided to try them out for the first time ever and sometimes trying out new places can be disappointing. Not here. The food was fantastic, the service was great and I have no complaints at all. We didn't end up sleeping here since we were a few short hours from home, but I don't doubt that it would be a good idea.

We had a wonderful dinner on the lighted terrace with braziers lighting the driveway. My diet is awkward as I am intolerant of both gluten and dairy. The chef adapted the recipe for the Kingklip on a bed of risotto and the meal was superb. Each of our party enjoyed every element of the meal. We had an excellent meal on a moonlight evening on the edge of the Kruger Park!

We were forced to spend 2 nights in Phalaborwa (against our original travel plans) due to a broken down vehicle. We chose to stay at the Bushveld Terrace Hotel while our vehicle was being repaired and what a good decision that was. The hotel is beautifully appointed, rooms are spacious and well equipped. The hotel grounds are lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant food was great.

We really liked the hotel. The rooms were large and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was incredibly good, and the service was fantastic! That evening, we were sure we'd be back next year... Then, in the morning, at breakfast, we were in for a negative surprise. An announcement came at the table: Starting today, we've changed our breakfast. You can choose a hot (egg) dish or muesli/yogurt with fruit from the menu, along with a drink and a slice of toast. Everything else is subject to payment. A slice of toast, for example, would cost 6 Rand. Only after we expressed our incomprehension were we allowed more coffee/tea and toast free of charge... but we'd lost our appetite for breakfast. We think that if you book months in advance with a full breakfast (buffet), it's outrageous to receive a limited breakfast during your stay! Even a la carte options should be unlimited!

From the moment I arrived at Bushveld Terrace, I was greeted with genuine warmth by the friendly and attentive team. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, offering everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Our dining experience was truly exceptional and became a highlight of the visit. This gem in Phalaborwa, right at the gate of Kruger National Park, is perfect for both a restful stay or a convenient stopover. A special thanks to the chef, who went out of his way to cater for my plant-based diet – his creativity and care resulted in absolutely delicious meals. I would highly recommend Bushveld Terrace to anyone, whether travelling for business or on a family holiday. The addition of the new shop was a lovely surprise too, offering a range of unique gifts we had not seen anywhere else nearby.

We've been to SA several times but this was our first time going tot the Krueger National Park and the location of the this hotel was perfect. The hotel is clean, modern but has a touch of safari lodge to it, and was very comfortable. The food at the restaurant was amazing, and the service was equally as good. Finally, the fitness center had everything I needed ot get a workout in after a day of bouncing around the Park. We're coming back to SA in 2027 and will definitely stay at the Bushveld Terrace again.
