Businesshotel & Seminarhotel Banana City Winterthur

Nice geographical location, walking distance to the railway station and surrounded by several supermarkets. However, I was shocked when I was told that gym service was not included in the rates. For the first time in my life did I realize that gym is provided to selected guests. This experience is def “new” and unpleasant. Given that there are many other hotels nearby, I don’t think I will recommend this hotel to my friends.

Hi we, that's my wife and son stayed at this wonderful hotel which is very convenient to reach out to other places in Switzerland due to proximity to station. The staff is very helpful and courtesies The breakfast was wholesome and good spread. The best part is at a very quite , family place . Will highly recommend

Banana city the hotel was spotless staff were faultless breakfast was good .I upgraded to a suite which was very nice and a big room with air conditioning .It States minibar and bottle water .The mini bar is just a small fridge not stocked up with anything just an empty fridge which is misleading that needs to be changed and when I asked for bottle water I was told you only get it on your first day which is also misleading.The tap water you can drink plus there loads of water fountain around every where you visit which are safe to drink.Train travel is great not cheep but you can buy 50% tickets or unlimited tickets you have to decide what best for you .Make sure you have a valid ticket there are ticket collectors everywhere and if you not got a ticket no excuses they charge you chf 90 plus price of ticket ouch . Went to see Wales play in euros had a great time

Hotel is modern with cooperative staff, they change the room immediately and give a room with nice view. The house keeping was very fast and very friendly. The room was clean ,wide and very comfortable. The parking is very good ...overall the hotel is a good choice in Winterthur city 👌

Nice hotel in the city of Winterthur. Close to city center and the railway station 🚉. Rooms are clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant is great.

We were a group of 30 professionals staying at the Hotel Banana City for 3 nights including lunches, dinners, conference facilities and catering. From the hotel reception to the conference staff they could not be more friendly or helpful. The rooms were clean, conference room was light and airy and fully equipped. The restaurant food was of a high level and the staff were very accomodative of special requests. In addition the gym and pool (associated with the hotel) was excellent. We highly recommend this hotel for business meetings!

Improvement needed - 1. Toilet gets clogged in few days, need to check what is real issue. 2. Room heater display not working 3. Some electric sockets not working|4. Breakfast is very monotonous, needs some change to have more global variety.|Still i would say it was an okay experience. Thanks
