This Lesser-known Washington Peninsula Has Some of the Most Stunning Bioluminescence in the U.S. — Here's How I Planned My Trip

"After a few rolling miles and plenty of stopping for photos, I bike back down to Butcher & Baker Provisions, one of my favorite Washington spots and one of my favorite cheesecake purveyors. Famous for their pimento cheese fried chicken sandwiches, amongst other things, I wait longer to eat than eating itself takes." - Travel + Leisure Editors

This place might be a bit overrated. Yes the fried chicken sandwich was good 4/5, but the turkey on focaccia bread was average 3/5, lemon bar 3/5, and chocolate pudding 3.5/5. The outdoor seating offered very little sun relief. Inside was better. However, not a big place. The person taking our order was disinterested.

Google
Y’all. If you’re considering the fried chicken sandwich, I’m here to tell you: get it! If you’re looking at something else, I’m sure it’s good, but if your friend/loved one/ stranger at another table gets the fried chicken sandwich, you’re probably going to regret whatever you got. (In truth, I’m sure everything is delicious!) Super cute gem of a place with friendly staff and comfortable surroundings. Love that there’s not only a lot of outdoor seating, but also a big park right behind the restaurant, especially if you have a fur-baby with you. Will definitely make it a point to stop here on future visits to Port Gamble!

Google
The place is a touch of small town and high end food experience. Had their classic Fried Chicken sandwich, incredible, then had some of their baked goods. Lemon bar, chocolate croissant, eclair and Mint Chocolate Mousse cake. Everything was incredible, can't recommend them enough. Seating is limited inside but there is outdoor seating if the weather permits.

Google
This place is top notch all the way around. I make a point trek their way as often as I can. I’m the type that likes a thing at a place and go there just for that, but the menu changes here and so I’ve never had the same meal twice. I thank them for that because everything has been wonderful. The employees are super kind as well. Don’t forget dessert!

Google
This place has a little bit of everything! Their fried chicken sandwich is so scrumptious! The fried chicken is crispy and juice inside. We also got the chimichurri steak bowl…the veggies in this were so fresh! The steak and chimichurri had great flavors. For dessert, We got the pistachio cheesecake, strawberry shortcake, and chocolate pudding to go. And yummmmmmm!! I’ve never had a pistachio cheesecake so I was so excited about this…the pistachio flavor was subtle but just enough. The cheesecake itself was so creamy and fluffy at the same time! Chocolate pudding….yummm; strawberry shortcake…yummmmm. Everything was delicious. A must when you’re in Port Gamble. It’s cute, rustic yet modern inside. Although, i wish there were more seating. I feel like the space can be utilized more efficiently. There is seating outside, which we sat at. It was pouring rain and cold, so I also wish there were heaters. Overall, great experience! I’d come back to try more things!!

Google
The staff is so personable and awesome! The food is absolutely fantastic! The baked goods are to die for! I would be here every day if I lived closer!

Google
Butcher and Baker Provisions provides a welcoming atmosphere with ample portions, though quality is slightly overshadowed by quantity. Both meal options were enjoyable, with the fried chicken sandwich being the standout. The space is inviting, but feels more limited in winter due to reduced seating. I didn’t explore further since I found a spot easily due to it being rainy, though I noticed additional outdoor tables and chairs in the summer.

Google
First time: For the price and how busy they were I was expecting more. I got a chicken Jamaican and my husband a steak sandwich. We waited about 35 minutes. I asked for a salad as side- husband got bag of chips, I got a spring mix soggy "salad" - not even a single tomato/cucumber, nothing, disgusting. The chicken was tasty as Jamaican marinated should be but such a small piece. $20 before tax and tipr for this, I was disappointed and didn't want to try any desserts.

Yelp
I went in and got the raspberry pana cotta which was to die for! I also purchased a slice of Stracciatella cake, which I haven't had yet but I know it's going to be amazing as well. Service was friendly. Must try if you're in the area!

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch while visiting Port Gamble. Love that the building is a converted old service station built in 1920. There is a walk-up coffee bar and restaurant. There are a few tables inside and picnic tables outside. The restroom is outside by the picnic tables. You order at the counter, given a beeper, then go retrieve your food. You're asked to bus your own table as well. This process ran smoothly and timely. We ordered their popular crispy chicken sandwich with pimento cheese and a piece of their raspberry cheesecake. The sandwich came with kettle chips or salad, or you could upgrade to potato salad. We opted for the kettle chips. The sandwich was good. Chicken cooked perfectly, and homemade pickles were good. I'm not sure what was missing, but it was surprisingly lacking flavor. Maybe in the batter or pimento cheese?! We're not sure. It was good, though. We would probably try something else next time. Their menu had many items that sounded good. Now, the raspberry cheesecake was a totally different story. It was absolutely delicious! We would would definitely order that again. Many of their baked items looked tempting. Overall, we had a satisfying first experience. We will definitely come back and try other offerings. Highly recommend.

Yelp
The fried chicken is simply amazing (crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside), the best I've ever had! Located in the small town of Port Gamble. Great service, the gentleman taking care of our order gave a thorough intro on their speciality, and shared fried chicken sandwich is the one item that doesn't get swapped out. Needless to say, there's a great reason for that. Highly highly recommended if you're in the area. The dessert items here are all very stellar! Forgot to take pictures but take my words for it :)

Yelp
Very popular place for breakfast or lunch with friendly staff, delicious food, and cozy seating.

Yelp
Hood Canal bridge was opening, so took a little detour to feed my belly with the yummiest friend chicken sandwich that was literally gone in less than 10 minutes upon receipt. The establishment is located on the corner of a quaint town called Port Gamble that is just an absolute delight to drive through. Everything about this town screams Stepford Wives. The landscaping is well kept and all uniform throughout this place. As for the restaurant- old fashioned meets new farmhouse style with sprinkles of delicious baked goods. Ordered myself the fried chicken sandwich and it was gone in ten minutes. Nice juicy thick ass chicken breast fried to perfection. All the fixins in the sandwich thought out and each bite and chew was flavorful. Came with a side salad of mixed greens just the right touch of dressing.

Yelp
This is honestly the absolute best bakery in the entire PNW, in my opinion! The baked goods section here is pure heaven! From flaky croissants to decadent cakes, yummy sandwiches and salads, everything they do is absolutely incredible! They have a small selection of bottles of wine, cheese and deli available for to take home. A little coffee stand sits at the entrance that serves Stumptown coffee. Don't leave without snagging their biscotti and shortbread cookies. Their vanilla shortbread will be the best shortbread ever you've had!

Yelp
It's still my favorite restaurant in the area. The best staff and some of the tastiest food served beautifully. I love just about everything on the menu even though they change their menu frequently. It's hard to fall in love with a dish, and then a couple months later, when you want it again, it's not there. However, they do a great job of bringing on new replacement dishes that are always excellent for the most part. I had their congee with pork belly and think it's actually as good or better than I have had at any Chinese restaurant. Butcher and Baker Provisions makes the best congee. I can feel it awaken something inside of me when eating it. It is healing! I also tried on their new menu the dish with the herring and potatoes. This I didn't like at all. and only took one bite and put it down. Had they used kippered herring or a smoked fish of any kind, it would have been extraordinary. But the herring tasted raw and overly fishy. Thus, the reason for me giving a 4 star review instead of my usual 5-star big thumbs up review . I am a super fan of the restaurant. I love hearing from Joe what's coming up on the future menus. His attention to customers is exactly what a patron looks for and deserves. Oh, and curbside pickup is awesome. Makes it so convenient

Yelp
Located in the wonderfully welcoming town of Port Gamble, Washington, Butcher and Baker Provisions, built from the historic remains of an old 1920's service station, offers a unique experience for those who want to experience a variety of different types of food in a place with pleasant ambiance with wonderful food and drinks. The food is always fresh and served with a smile, you are sure to get excellent customer service and great quality food. The bakery supplies wonderful cakes and other sugary confectioneries and the drinks served in their coffee shop are a welcome surprise. I would recommend the chocolate layer cake and a delicious cup of hot chocolate, though that is my personal preference, the different cakes are as wonderful as the chocolate cake and the spiced chai is a good addition to any cup. The food varying from sandwiches to salads and charcuterie is all delicious and well balanced. The tiramisu cake is a triumph. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in a wonderful experience and a great meal. In the beauty and quaintness that is Port Gamble, Butcher and Baker Provisions is truly a gem.

Yelp
As you drive into Port Gamble, you can't help but be absolutely romanced by the beautiful scenery and the beautiful brightly colored little houses from the 1800s that are now little stores and places where people live. Super super cute not to mention the really old cemetery there really a great destination. I had such high hopes for this restaurant. As you walk in cement floor you know the trendy kind of style now, white countertops, black accessories, parchment menus that need replacing,, California style restaurant mixture with a bakery. The initial thing you notice is the size of the butcher block tables- they are so huge across there is no way to carry on a decent conversation as you have to speak louder- or just call your person on the cell or text. Odd. You order at the front, fine- they deliver to your table- ordered the crispy chicken sandwich, glass of red wine- NO idea what kind of wine- and it came with a "salad". It arrived on a stainless steel (shocking) tray. Sandwich was ok, just blah- had a dill pickle on it- that was great- bun was fresh. Wine was grape juice- I don't even know if it had alcohol in it- seriously. The "salad" was greens from a box, olive oil- not vinegar- no salt- awful. The only shining light was the chocolate chip cookie- so good- until you see the dough for sale in a fridge- 26 DOLLARS. Lol - but the capper of the experience is the lack of attention you get after spending 20 bucks on a chicken thigh and Costco lettuce not one person came over to say hello- how was your meal etc.. in a tourist town- I can't imagine that they want that kind of opinion. Such a cute spot- bummer.

Yelp
We were on our way to Quilcene's Lantern and stopped here for lunch and I'm so glad we did! We were a little skeptical that it might take forever to get our food because the parking lot was PACKED but the line moved quickly and our food was nicely packaged up and ready in no time! Everything we ordered was incredibly delicious and the folks working were so nice! Definitely make a stop here for an incredible sandwich and don't forget to grab a baked good and some of the delicious pimento cheese spread to go!

Yelp
Grabbed an evening bite to eat at this low key hole in the wall place for provisions. Ordered the burgerrito (burger + burrito) and it was a lot of food. The service was prompt and very polite.

Yelp
What can I say! Ono grinds, friendly staff and your mouth explodes with flavorful food. Never disappoints!!! Menu changes through the season and always something new & different to try.

Yelp
This place is great The food is delicious and that goes also for the pastry puts other Kitsap bakeries to shame . There's real ingredients here n not the usual white sugar that you find elsewhere oops the bakery in Winslow just as great

Yelp
Food: we stopped by this quaint town of Port Gamble. Didn't even know this place existed! This is a place NOT to be missed if you are in the mood for sweets. We wanted something sweet and looked up this place. Super cute town driving in, beautiful view of the water. We ordered : the almond raspberry cake, strawberry shortcake, lemon bar, and lemon cheesecake. The almond raspberry cake was so moist, not overly sweet, fresh whipped cream, fresh raspberries, and topped with some crunchy almonds, just the right amount of sweetness! Strawberry shortcake was just like grandma made it. The strawberries were just the right sweetness, fresh whipped cream, crop lu shortcake made the right way so it socks up the strawberries goodness! Lemon bar was sweet and tart equally. The crust had the right amount of crunch and buttery goodness. Lemon cheesecake was creamy and lemony dreamy! Service was friendly and helpful. They were quick and super patient as we decided what to get. This cute old gas station like spot had a nostalgic feel. Definitely will be back for their food and more dessert!

Yelp
I needed my fried chicken sandwich fix from Butcher and Baker this past weekend. And as always it didn't disappoint. Of course I had to get a slice of cake to share from the pastry case too. They get food out relatively quick. There's seating inside and outside. It can get pretty busy during peak times so you may have trouble finding a spot. But I love to walk over to the water where there are some picnic tables and a lovely view.

Yelp
We used to love BBP. We would make special trips just to go across on the ferry to eat there. However, the prices have kept increasing to an absurd point and the quality of the food has gone down. In addition, you have to wait in line to place your order at the counter, come and get your own food and bus your own table, yet a tip screen is put right in your face that starts at 20% before you even pay for your food. Tried to reach out and are express our concerns to the company but never heard back. It's disappointing that this once wonderful place is now devolved into an expensive and profit-obsessed establishment. We don't recommend.

Yelp
Can not recommend this place enough! We've been here many times and have recommended it to many friends and family that are planning on or are in the port gamble area. Even if you're not in the area, it's worth the drive! Make sure you look at the days they're open, they are closed Mon.- Wed (maybe Thursday I can't remember off the top of my head). Absolutely worth giving a try, the Chicken sandwich is amazing with the pimento cheese, but honestly we've never had anything bad and the desserts are incredible!

Yelp
Very expensive but extremely cute and lots of good options. Coffee was good and the garden area is very cute. Service was great!

Yelp
Apparently, their menu changes every 6 weeks or so. I went looking for what we ordered last time, and the only 2 items they repeat are the burger and fried chicken. Uninterested in those, I asked for a sandwich with an eggplant spread. They were out of the ingredients. Nothing else sounded appealing except for the Panzenella salad. On the plus side, the soft cheese on top was delicious. On the down side, it was mostly lettuce. Panzanella is an Italian bread salad with chunks of fresh and grilled veggies- traditionally, no lettuce. The pieces were ginormous, like they didn't bother to tear them. And they were dripping in dressing. I picked out the few chunks of veggies and pieces of sourdough bread, and couldn't eat the rest. Now I know they are heavy-handed on the dressings. On the other hand, their lemon bar was AMAZING....bursting with lemon flavor. It was tart, with a nice tender crust.

Yelp
Recently I tried this lovely cafe and had an amazing lunch! The fried chicken sandwich was super tasty and the desserts were out of this world. I had a slice of the mango coconut cake and took a birthday cake cookie for the road. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
First time to this darling port and Butcher & Baker did not disappoint! Cozy charming niche...port side community has something yummy for everyone. Breakfast banger and chicken field greens were delicious!!! Got a cute little split of Prosecco and a blueberry cheesecake. Bought a cute fern handmade coffee mug from Cactus n Clay on IG. Hope to return!!!

Yelp
New Menu as of today. This place changes their menu every 4-6 weeks. One staple you will find every time though is the chicken sandwich and it is by far the best chicken sandwich you will ever have in your life. I defy anyone who thinks they have had better. I had a pickled herring dish and it was absolutely delicious. Not many places do pickled herring but I'm so glad Butcher and baker took on the challenge. Also there are a ton of local beers and wine to choose from and other fun drinks which will not disappoint . This place has shared seating with a few smaller tables for just one party. Lots of outdoor seating as well some of which is covered from the weather. No kids menu but our kid loves the hamburger or chicken sandwich. Friendly staff to take your order. However this is a self service place so expect to bus your own table and pick up your meal from the counter. Inside is pretty chilly in the winter but not to bad with a long sleeve or sweater.

Yelp
Was excited and pleased to see the Hearts of Palm salad. Description was inviting, however execution was a 2. I am hopeful it was a fluke given Saturday, day before Easter. I ordered via the website for pick up. Very little hearts of palm . The dressing on the side (of course and good, thx since was to go order) was only 1/3 filled. Odd. (again likely a fluke). The tortilla was tasty, but i forgot to ask if vegan. Rosemary foccacia was very large for $5. It was a pass for me. (I am spoiled at Oat Bakery in Santa Barbara as they have the best i have ever had). I had a bite and gave it away. New: Interior coffee options. Usually, a barrista is on site. HOwever, there was a sign to go to the line and order up front. I would have ordered the coffee to go but didnt want it cold so had planned to order on site. I was bummed to have had the long line. Later, barrista was on site and taking orders on site. She was kind to make mine right away since I had waited in the other line for so long (and ready to get on the drive to Sequim). Barrista made a good oat milk latte decaf. I forgot to check about any upcharge for oat milk I hope they do not penalize non dairy drinkers....i will update this. they are moving in the right direction with this salad....

Yelp
We have yet to be disappointed in this restaurant-the variety of menu items, drinks and friendly staff make are always a bonus. We love the outside picnic tables and the indoor dining with long tables to accommodate large groups are fantastic.
google avatar

Jackie P.

Yelp
Food is great, varied, interesting, and tasty. Service is not quick, and it can get crowded. We were there around 1pm on a Friday. Every seat was filled, so the only option were the picnic tables outside. They have a covered area with six full-sized picnic tables, and another six that aren't covered. Most of the year, I bet it's wonderful to sit outside, unfortunately it's mid-February and we would have benefited from one of those outdoor heaters many spots have for their outdoor seating. I also wouldn't call this place kid-friendly if you're looking for something more substantial than bakery items. The standard menu is not flexible- the Brunch is a grilled ham and cheese base covered with sausage gravy & two over easy eggs. It's delicious, but when we asked if we could just get a grilled cheese for our kid, we're were told that they could serve the components separately but there was no way to just get the grilled cheese sandwich. I get that they've prepped things in a certain way, but it was disappointing that there wasn't any flexibility or options for kids.

Yelp
What a delightful find! We were looking for a place to stop for lunch after taking the ferry from Edmonds on our way to Port Angeles and found Butcher and Baker Provisions. Super cute modern rustic aesthetic they specialize in baked goods, salads and sandwiches. There is a nice patio with picnic tables surrounded by various flowering plants and we lucked out with a gorgeous day. Highlight: I know they're known for their Fried Chicken Sandwich but THE BEET BURGER - wow, even if you're not a vegetarian you will love. Wonderful depth of savory flavor with the slightest hint of sweetness. Super filling as well with a small side of salad greens. Craveable factor 10/10. Will definitely be a regular stop on our way and might just have to make a special trip just to get my craving satisfied!

Annie Anne Ann G.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place! My go to is the chicken sandwich. They have a variety of treats and pastries.. they don't always serve the same pastries which is great because you know it's fresh and there is always something new to try!
google avatar

Yelp
If heaven were a fried chicken sandwich, this would be where you would enter the pearly gates. Butcher and Baker is, without a doubt, one of my favorite places to eat - worth a 2 hour motorcycle ride! My husband and I stop here every single time we pass through. Their breakfast burritos are a second portal to heaven. The coffee and lemon bars are divine. Most wonderfully, their staff are friendly and kind.
google avatar

Carol K.

Yelp
Best hamburger ever!! i ate here while on vacation several times and each time it was absolutely delicious. Great menu and the desserts are all freshly made and out of this world! staff was exceptional and you can't beat the location! A definite 5 star!!

Yelp
Amazing sandwiches and baked goods. Not only did we each take half of our sandwiches home, we loaded up on baked treats for dessert the rest of the week . You don't miss it in Port Gamble, and after your meal it's an easy walk around the "town". We came from Port Townsend and don't regret the drive a bit. It's a line up and order and wait for your number to be called kind of place. You have a front-row view to the goodies before ordering. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.
google avatar

Yelp
Had the pleasure of lunch out at Butcher Baker Provisions. So far we have not been disappointed, except the one time we went in winter months and they were closed. The staff is friendly, sometimes it's hard to find a place to sit but generally people are nice and accommodating. When weather is good the outside seating is enjoyable. We had a couple sandwiches today, crispy chicken and a beef burger. Both were quality. Fresh lettuce and tomato on top and I had a side dish of wonderful tasting potato salad. Of course we picked up a chocolate chip and a peanut butter cookie for dessert. If you are looking for a nice drive with a wonderful menu at the end look no further than Port Gamble and Butcher Baker. Afterwards take in the other shops and maybe take a short hike.

Yelp
The soicy chicken sandwich is great, the pork sandwich was great. Pastries are also very good. I like their hot sauces they make as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Everything here is amazing. I even ordered my first bowl of menudo and it was killer, tripe n trotters n all! I love how seasonal their menu is while keeping some fantastic mainstays on deck. Many gluten free options. I can't wait to go back again soon!

Yelp
I always drive by Port Gamble and never stop. I always say it's a cute town and that I need to stop by sometime, but we are always rushing to get to the Olympic mountains or rushing home to catch a ferry. So Port Gamble is very much a drive through town for me. Well about a month ago we decided to eat here after hiking Mt Walker, then we stopped by here again last weekend and picked up some pastries. I so wish I knew about this place sooner, it is soooo good! I have tried: - fried chicken sandwich - raspberry tart - chocolate croissant - a bite of Cuban sandwich We ate lunch here the first time and the sandwich I got was amazing! Then last weekend I grabbed a raspberry tart, it was delicious! Definitely stop here!

Yelp
Always amazing food and warm staff. You can't go wrong with their famous chicken sandwich and beer on tap. The desserts are fantastic as well.

Yelp
A must visit bakery restaurant that will leave you feeling your best Washington self! This little place has the most tasty fresh food that gives farm to table vibes. The pastries are unique and delightful. I really enjoyed the apricot fig upside down cake. The blackberry cake was so delightful that I walked down to the forest nearby to pick blackberries of my own! The fried chick is cooked perfectly with an amazing crunch. The salad is fresh and the macaroni salad sweet with pineapple. A MUST STOP HERE IF YOU ASK ME!
google avatar

Rohan K.

Yelp
Stopped here to grab lunch during a road trip. The place is really nice and the staff are super friendly. We got the Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich. It was surprisingly boring. It was under-seasoned and not even remotely close to anything spicy. The chicken was juicy and the ingredients were super fresh but it just didn't hit the spot. We then split a Chocolate Eclair which was absolutely rich and delicious and perfect for a hot summer day. Overall the food is kind of okay and a quite pricey for what it is. I guess it's still better than most options around though.
google avatar

Jenny T.

Yelp
I would come back just for the potato salad!!! The baked goods look amazing too bad I am GF. Order at the counter. A little slow service but worth it!
google avatar

Yelp
the crab sandwich was very good and i don't like seafood so that's a 5/5 for me, the cake was $10 a slice the fudge bar was also very good and the lemon bar was great, we also got the fried chicken sandwich and i didn't love the cheese but otherwise very good. very nice seating area outside great on a sunny day

Yelp
We came around noon on Saturday and it was fairly busy. The staff were wearing masks and there were many people picking up to-go orders. There was a parking lot right next to the restaurant. There were a few tables inside and plenty of tables outside, both in front of restaurant, as well as some picnic tables on the far side of the parking lot. Everything on the menu sounded delicious, and I ended up getting the fried chicken sandwich that had pickles, bacon, and pimento cheese. It also came with a side green salad, pasta salad, or potato salad, and I picked the pasta salad. It was a bit more expensive than I expected and ended up being $20, but it was plenty of food and it was tasty! If it hadn't been so hot, I definitely would've brought some baked goods home!

Maryam J.

Yelp
Wow-/ this place is incredible. Love the atmosphere, truly could not be a better place for the summer with all of the outdoor seating and the huge grass lawn behind. And the food-- omg. It was so good! We got the panzanella salad and fried chicken sandwich, the best fried chicken sandwich we've ever had. We may have to drive all the way up to port gamble just for this place.

Yelp
Have been coming here for over a year and they are always very good. The Chicken Sandwich & Hamburger are the stars of the show and are consistently prepared perfectly. They rotate the menu seasonally with a few updates here and there and the options are often surprisingly delicious as well...the Tartiflette Breakfast (not currently an option) was perfect for a pre-hike meal. Salads here are fresh, different and often highly nutritional. When it comes to deserts they rarely disappoint. The Chocolate Chip Cheesecake & Irish Cream Cheesecake are phenomenal. The Black Tea Peach Cake is exquisite. Most any berry cake here is fantastic especially the strawberry shortcake. Whoever is in charge of the desserts here they know what they are doing. Do not miss out on a Cannoli either its divine. The Cafe in the front puts out the best mocha hot or cold in North Kitsap as well. Inside the main area they have ready-to-sell alcohol & non-alcohol drinks as well. Last but certainly not least the staff here are friendly and do care that you're satisfied. True gem, I hope they stick around for years to come!

Yelp
Employees were an absolute delight, and checked on us often. Grilled salmon, BLT blew my mind. Highly recommend the attached coffee shop which made me a drink that wasn't even on the menu.

Yelp
We were spending several days in the picturesque Port Gamble, Washington for a wedding. The town looks out on the stunning Hood Canal. After searching Yelp for a good lunch spot we decided on the Butcher & Baker Provisions. When you enter you are confronted with a mouth watering display of cakes and desserts. Which distracted me so much that I had to recompose myself in order to rethink about my savory lunch options. But the options quickly made me change gears. I choose the Romanian Cheese Steak Sandwich. It had grilled pastrami, spicy yellow pepper mustard, fried onions, melted Swiss cheese and 1000 island dressing. It was spicy and delicious. Jeff had the Green Curry Chicken Pho. He had wished it was served in a bowl with plenty of green curry soup and less chicken bones to pick through. We were to full to enjoy the desserts there, so we took home a chocolate pudding, Irish cream cheese cake, a giant chocolate mint cookie and a Marion berry cobbler. All fantastic, I'm still dreaming of the chocolate mint cookie.

Yelp
The people and service are super awesome, the baked goods are amazing, large cake slices, and in a super scenic area. Not a lot of vegetarian options (considering the name surprising, right? ) but overall highly recommend.

Yelp
Duuuuude!!!!! I sell real estate and was coming from Kirkland to meet a client in Brinnon to sell a home. As I got off the ferry he had to reschedule. I was bummed so I decided to sight see and dipped on into this restaurant. I never leave reviews unless I am moved. This place was phenomenal. Fried Chicken Sandwich and the Shrimp and Grits. Both were "Holy Sh!T this is good!" I was spying the other plates and was salivating. If you're out here and rolling through Port Gamble, don't be a dumbass and drive past this place. You will be stoked you took this restaurant for a test drive. Cheers!

Yelp
Look at this tiny town producing such a great little spot. Hubby and I were exploring the great pacific northwest after being cooped up for over a year. We found ourselves in Port Gamble with zero expectations of quality food choices. Being a yelp junkie, this place won me over with the reviews and so we stopped here. Never have I ever been impressed by a gas station, however that is what this spot was created from. It's really adorable. Promise. Walk inside and I'd swear Chip and Joanna designed the space. Which made my HGTV heart happy. But, let's chat about the food. Shall we? I ordered the Gumbo and my husband had Spaetzle (You so rarely even see this on the menu). I wish the Gumbo had more flavor. The ingredients were fresh, and it was beautiful (see the photo), but it wasn't super flavorful. It was also VERY messy. Lots of work for a little bit of food. I would probably get something else next time. The spaetzle was good, however. Just not something my little Keto Heart can handle. The selection of desserts looked phenomenal though. I wish. They did have some great-looking cheese and meat, so when we return I know what I will be getting.
