Enjoyed the experience here. Coeliac safe gluten free options, as long as you don’t have any of the gf bread options. Very fresh tasty Greek salad, lovely chips, friendly staff and fun atmosphere. Generous portions for a very reasonable price. Recommend.

tl, dr.: No frills, tiny hole in the wall, 24 hr place for people who love red meat The menu is small, but their main draw is their aged steaks, which if it's your thing (some ppl don't like it) it's certainly worth visiting. It's served simply but excellently, with just mustard, horseradish and chips. I tried the blood sausage, which was great; it's so difficult trying to get decent ones here in Brisbane! My only quibble is that it was served on a cheap tasting white bun with curried egg, which I detest, but that's a me thing and doesn't detract from the excellent blood sausage. There are also interesting cocktails (the beef fat whiskey shot was delicious 😋) and rotating daily specials, so if beef is your thing (they also do chicken as well though), absolutely visit

This was my son’s recommendation, after I told him there was nowhere good to eat lunch in the city and that I was heading to Fitzroy for a burger. What a great diner, and what a great recommendation! This simple, clean and vibrant diner brings quick and efficient service, a great menu and fantastic food. I had the simplest item on the menu, the hamburger (no risks taken here). It was one of the best burgers I have ever eaten. Cooked perfectly, full of flavour and with an excellent bun. Every bite was a joy. Mostly shred counter seating inside, but well suited to the venue. Plenty of outdoor dining on the picturesque’Paris’ end of Bourke St. well worth a visit.

I paid $75 because I wanted to truly experience the quality of the steak; a dessert replacement was not what I was seeking. Once the steak was prepared as requested, it was exceptional — beautifully cooked, full of flavor, and absolutely worth the price.

I don’t understand how this burger joint stands out in most of the « best burger in Melbourne » blogs. The bun was clearly defrosted and falling apart while the garnish was basic and the meat average. The place was clean and the service was good however. Shame 😕

We had our anniversary dinner here and it did not disappoint. We both got the Butcher’s cut of the day which was the Wagyu Flank. Absolutely delicious. Keen on trying their burgers next time as those looked phenomenal too!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The food was so good that I didn’t even get a chance to take photos. Loved the freshness of the sandwich I had — filling, delicious, and great value for money. Highly recommended.

Dear Reader, for the love of god, go here! I cannot enough express my emphatic recommendation. I came here late at night with my girlfriend, hoping for a late night snack. Each bite was incomparable. It was a million org*sms. It was a look into the future.  It was like biting in the sun and a million golden rays comforting the world. It was only a cheeseburger and I will be dreaming about this for years to come. Godspeed.

Seriously cannot recommend this place enough! I did a google search for best places to get a quick lunch, and they did not disappoint. I got the daily special which was the Reuben, and it was the best Reuben I've ever had, hands down. Everything is well priced, the ambiance in the shop is great, and there's outdoor seating on the sidewalk.

Super cute spot. Came here for the burgers and they were delicious. Fries were good too! They sell wine by the half bottle which is perfect. Open late. There isn't a lot of seating but the tables will turn fast. Would come again!

I don't always eat burgers, but when I do, I prefer Butchers Diner. Their burgers are like a work of art, if art could be eaten and enjoyed with a side of fries. The patty was cooked to perfection, and the toppings were like a party in my mouth. And the fries? They were like the perfect wingman, always there to make sure the burger looked good and tasted even better. If you're looking for a burger that will make you want to write a poem about it, this is the place.

The food was excellent as was the hospitality of the order taker. This was a new experience for us and he made it easy. They are open very last we went after seeing the evening show of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (also excellent).

Just. go. there. Everything is really good. My BF ordered the creole salmon and I was a bit dubious before it arrived but I ended up stealing it from him bc it was that good LOL. I love salmon so it takes a really outstanding side to distract me from it, but the greens it came with were superb ~ you can order those by themselves too they're that good. You will not regret a visit here!

A 24 hour Bonanza of Beef. This hidden gem bedazzled Without pretension. As the Beef is hanging and curing For All to See, you know these People Care about Quality. I ordered 'off menu' to throw A Curveball but it was handled Superbly in its Simplicity. The Meat tastes like no other. Lightly seasoned with salt and Cracked pepper it Melted into The Cheese and took me to Heights of Ecstasy. I Savored Every Bite and watched as Others ate with Intensity Matched only on Professional Playing Fields. My Return will feature the Breakfast menu as I Dream About those Steak and Eggs. Can we talk Burger? Impressive. I had two. Both the cheeseburger And the house made bacon Burger. Both with toasted Brioche and fresh lettuce Tomato and slice of onion. The Burger Bangs! Uberaschung! The Sexy Surprise was The Coney Island Dog And the Japanese Fried Chicken. Order TWO of The chicken. Or as an Appetizer to something Substantial. Stunning! A good place for quick lunch or dinner given the service is pretty fast. Also they are open 24 hours so no worries of when you get there. Went here for dinner on a Saturday night given all of the sit down restaurants were packed and I couldn't wait for a table given I had a show to catch. Butcher diner was a good choice in terms of fast service. The cheeseburger was average nothing special although I liked that their buns were hot too.

A low key diner, that offers a variety of meats featured in the fridge/freezer that you can see along the back wall. Cash only! Quick service and friendly staff. We stopped in for a quick bite, tried the grilled cheese, steak sandwich, grilled steak and chicken, and side of broccoli. Not as flavorful as we expected.

Open 24 hours. Fast service and really good food for the price. Can not go past the cheese burger (w/- bacon) and a side of chips at the end of long trip. Arrive back in CBD anywhere from 2300-0300 and this place never fails as you can see by the #foodporn attached. Has a vegetarian vending machine too. Cash only can be a hassle but they've solved that by having their own ATM. If you do not like their food it's you who has the problem.

Have been coming here since it opened and I guess I am a teeny bit addicted to the place, and the dinner salad in particular. A small eating space hanging of what is basically the kitchen for the European/Siglo and The French Saloon, the produce is great quality. Don't be fooled by the slightly grotty 70's diner aesthetic, this place has access to some seriously good meat. Keep an eye out for the specials written on butchers paper and taped to the wall and coolroom door (things like venison or a wallaby burger). The steak special is always lovely and tender. It comes with chips but for a few bucks more you can substitute salad or seasonal veges. A limited but interesting selection of wine and beer is available to pair with your steak or burger, and who can go past churros for dessert? (If you have room). Open 24 hours, cash only. I traveled 30mins to get to butchers diner, at 3am. The cheeseburger with bacon is an absolutely fantastic burger. I also had their Coney Island chilli dog, which was so delicious, and flavoursome. The clean taste of everything on the burger and dog was exceptional. I would recommend this place all day long. Take cash, no card facilities,(not that it matters a whole lot). DO IT!

Came and ate at midnight on a Sunday. Amazing cheeseburger. Great fries. Awesome fried chicken. The produce is amazing. Service 10/10 and the place is spotless. Great venue. Perfect for late night food 24/7. Will be back if in the city!
