Great open field to play frisbee with friends and enjoy a concert. I would watch out for the geese'.

simple but very well placed open space within Grant Park. Wide, flat lawns make it feel open and breathable, with clear views of the skyline that immediately remind you where you are. It works well both as a transition space between attractions and as a place to stop and pause.

We went to VeganDale at Butler Field in Grant Park and had an Awesome time. Although Rick Ross performed and was the headliner, the main attraction was the vendors. There were vendors there from around the city of Chicago and across the country. The food was not just tasty, It was delicious.

An open field in the middle of Grant Park that is used for various events. If you’re a photographer, Butler field offers some of the best panoramic views of the city from within the larger Grant Park area.

Very nice athletic field/park. It's a very nice place to view the city's skyline as well. it's an ideal place to go for walks in one of the many parks in downtown Chicago

Really peaceful and great view of the city. We came in winter so it was also full of snow, We were also the only ones around so it made it that bit more special. My travel buddy did her first snow angel here too.

We were here for lollapalooza and had an absolute blast, the space is amazing and was only equaled by the event.

Yelp
I have been to Chicago at least 10 times and somehow never been to Grant Park until my last visit. The park is massive and so beautiful. I came because of Lallapalooza and it was a blast! It was one of the coolest places you could ever see a show and there were simultaneous shows everywhere!
So much fun to see people full of happiness watching their favorite artists while also see the Chicago skyline in the background. While walking from the main stage to the Bud Light stage we walked by the iconic fountain that is in the opening of "Married with Children" and that put a huge smile on my face. Grant park was a blast and I vow to come back to Lallapalooza in the future! It was one of my favorite concert experiences at one of the most beautiful urban parks in the country.

Yelp
The main stage of the Chicago Blues Festival was here. Great fun, free way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Close to mass transit, a huge (super expensive) parking garage, the Bean, and museums. If I lived in Chicago this would be a great place to have a picnic on a lovely spring/summer day.

Yelp
Plenty of open space for any outdoor event, especially for booths for races. Take caution for muddy areas when it rains.
