Butler Gallery

Constantly changing exhibitions of the best of modern art, both Irish and International. There’s also a beautiful garden around the back and a great cafe. And it’s totally free entry for everyone. The Museum is in a perfectly restored heritage building right in the city centre of Kilkenny.

Wild Flower Cafe is part of Butler Gallery in Kilkenny, lovely spot for a coffee and cake, savory food also looked great, had a delicious coffee and coconut energy ball. Very nice staff and the cafe has a lovely out door garden, have been to events in the garden during the summer as part if the gallery and its a lovely space to sit take in the art and music.

Beautiful experience, the grounds are next to the river and some ruins and the collection is very peaceful with several natural landscapes. Moreover, it's free. The best price!

a beautiful exhibition and a really well-curated display I recommend it to everyone because every space is cared for in the smallest details The path is very well indicated to proceed in the correct way from one room to another The external greenery is also very well cared for and there are small spaces to take a relaxing break

On a day trip to Kilkenny and visited Butler Gallery. I was excited to find the works of one of my favourite artist's Tony O'Malley on view. Lots of other wonderful artworks here too. Will visit again

Just such a wonderful (free) space in this bustling busy city. Situated just off John St lower the gallery is a fully accessible bright and wonderfully designed. There are paintings on permanent display as well as temporary exhibitions. The coup de grâce is the Wild Flower Cafe where we met Olivia. Even on a sunny chilly day we still managed to sit outside in the little "green houses" where we were nice and toasty. Goes without saying that the food was delicious and the service even better.

Lovely exhibitions. Enjoyed the Irish artists especially, including Mildred Anne Butler & Jane O'Malley. There is a small bookshop and a Café.
