We had a decent stay here. The staff was very friendly although they didn’t speak English very well. They also had the option to store your luggage which is nice. But the whole time we’re there we had to use our data because the wifi didn’t work at all. The room we booked was big but not that clean there were some hairs in the bathroom that are clearly not ours. The bedroom area was clean. The location is very nice since you can easily go in the city and you are nearby the station. The breakfast menu was okay. But I would say the hotel to expensive for what you get.

It is rated as a 3 Star Hotel To me, should be a 2 Star Rust and soap scum on the shower Mold and mildew in the grout Burn mark on bathroom counter No toilet paper had to go to front desk and ask for more No soap for sink Only shower towel, no face towel. Towel felt thin and cheap and hard, like it's 20 years old Shower soap dish has what looked like old melted bar soap in the soap dish but no bar soap for the shower, it was liquid soap Cheap and stained carpeting Thin walls, can hear neighbors Constant humming like a machine Hear running water off and on, as if someone is showering next door or when they flush the toilet or a leaky toilet, not sure but the running water noise was coming from the walls Dirty window inside and out Unstable and slow wifi Gave us 2 key cards for the door but only one worked Come to find out in the morning, my daughter's room next to our room had a water leak from her ac vent and it soaked half her bed. She said she was too tired in the middle of the night to switch rooms. I looked at her room and her room was in worse condition than mine. Her shower looked like it hadn't been washed for several months. The gasket around her shower door was falling out Pro Great view of old Taichung Station and plaza Right across the street from Station Good ac Staff was nice Location is awesome. Very convenient to the train station Not a good value for the price Stay somewhere else I would rather pay a bit more and walk a bit longer for a better room

Absolutely horrible, arrived and to my shock they did not provide towel, when I went to the receptionist to ask for towel, rudely she told me they ran out and just gave me floor mats and said use this, u can take it or leave it. I was shocked by the receptionist response. The WiFi also is horrible it let's me connect but it always shows connected without Internet. Bed is uncomfortable and the room is noisy. Thank God this was the last place i will be staying before returning back to my country. I was so tempted to cut short the stay and just take the next flight back. Really do not recommend this hotel to anyone. The only saving grace is the 7-11 that is right downstairs and it's right by the train station.

This hotel is not worth the price. The room was small and not really clean. The shower head holder was broken, and we didn't even get a piece of soap. The AC doesn't really work since it's centrally controlled, which means the room doesn't cool down (we got it down to a cozy 25 degrees Celsius). The laundry room and the gym are closed. The proximity to the train station is the only saving grace for this (otherwise I would only give one star). It seems like the owner doesn't care about this place and just wants to make as much profit as they can before selling it for cheap.

Room was big and the A/C was alright. Breakfast was okay. Not too much choice, it was the same for the drinks. Wifi unfortunately didn’t work at all.

Renovated and rename to Taichung Leisure Hotel. I think the information on Google map does not update yet but it is here. I book the single bed room. The breakfast is free of charge, but don't expect. it's normal Taiwanese breakfast, some porridge, stir fried pork and stir fried veggie. The room is just fine. It's comfortable but I think it can be cleaner. There is lot of dust on the lamp and telephone. The provided hair dryer also doesn't look safe at all too. Comparing to the price, it may more price worthy to just book a hostel if you don't mind having some personal space than just stay over night

I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel because I had read that there would be coffee and tea available, so I could make myself a cup in the morning before breakfast. Unfortunately, there was no coffee or tea—just a kettle to heat water. When I went into the bathroom, I was disappointed to find there was no hand soap at the sink, only shampoo and shower gel. Another reason I booked this hotel was for the gym, as I’m on a fitness program and wanted to keep up with my routine. However, I found out the gym is no longer available, even though it’s still advertised as one of the hotel’s amenities. I was also hoping to do laundry, since I’ve been on the road for four days, but the washer and dryer are no longer available either. To make matters worse, when I opened the refrigerator, I found someone else’s trash still inside. My room faces a busy street, so I can hear the police whistles and the traffic light signals throughout the night, which made it hard to sleep. Even the TV didn’t work—I turned it on and couldn’t get any channels.

I booked Hotel Leisure Taichung through Agoda based on amenities clearly listed on their site: access to coffee and tea, a gym, and washer/dryer facilities. None of these were actually available at the hotel during my stay.||When I brought this up to the front desk, they confirmed that those amenities are not offered. There was no apology, no attempt to make things right—just a shrug. I reported the issue to Agoda, but despite multiple attempts, I was stuck in a frustrating loop of automated replies and copy-paste messages. They refused to escalate my case or offer a fair resolution beyond a small AgodaCash refund.||This experience left a very sour impression—not only with Agoda but with the hotel as well. If the hotel was aware their listing was inaccurate, it should’ve been corrected. And if not, they should’ve acknowledged the guest experience was impacted.||I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it unless the hotel takes responsibility and Agoda enforces accuracy in its listings.
