Butlers Guest House

Was in Aberdeen for my daughters Graduation and stayed at Butlers guest house for 2 nights. Was such a cosy stay. They’ve even managed to change my dates at last minute due to my daughter mixing up her dates. Was very clean and the beds were so comfortable. Breakfast was a lovely selection of cereals and drinks. Just what we needed. Thank you.

Very comfortable, well-appointed and clean room, good self-service breakfast, easy check in/access. An easy walk from station especially if you come out through multi-storey carpark onto College St.! Would definitely use again. Thank you 🙂

Arrived back late after leaving bags and heading straight out upon arrival. ||I sat on the bed, thought I would have a cup of tea and the kettle in the room was full of limescale and still half full. It clearly had not been emptied prior to my arrival. ||I then noticed the dust all over the bedside lamp, bedside table and bed head. I took some photos and went to bed intending on contacting the owners in the morning. I woke up with my sinuses blocked and my asthma worse than usual. ||I sent a message to the owners via WhatsApp in the morning letting them know about the issues and attached photos and a video. ||Well...their response was to say the least "SHOCKING" ||In short they said sorry and that I could get a refund if I left and found somewhere else to stay that night. I am partially disabled and my friend and carer was staying in another room nearby.||I was not offered another room or for my room to be immediately cleaned which I was very suprised about. I have stayed in B&B's, Airbnb's, guest houses and hotels all over the world and have NEVER been told to find alternative accommodation due to an issue with my room. After all it was not my fault the room was very dusty near my bed and the kettle not emptied.||In response I told them I was only staying another night, asked for a refund and would clean the room myself if need be. I also mentioned that I obviously would be leaving a review on Trip advisor due to them not offering to either give me an alternative room or clean mine as I was out anyway.||I was then told to leave the premises! I have worked in hotel management myself and was frankly horrified!||I have attached photos of the room and also exerts from my WhatsApp conversation with them. I was mortified that I was given such an ultimatum and spoke at length with booking.com over the phone which ate into our time in Aberdeen which was most inconvenient. I have also copied them the photos too.||Basically, if you want a rubbish stay please book in but otherwise find alternative accommodation. I noted the premises is for sale, the original owners (Previous reviews) are no longer there as was evident from the English used.

This place was good. Clean. You can’t enter the building at all until the arrival time so there is no luggage drop. That was rather inconvenient because I had a few hours to walk around prior to my check in time. The room itself was fine. I wouldn’t stay there again because I usually need a place to drop my bag when I travel.

Wonderful location, comfortable room with all necessities provided in ample measure. Self service breakfast provided a wide range of cereals, teas, coffees, yoghurts, etc. All keys are electronic - it was fiddly getting the initial codes in, but once inside your room you were provided with a fob which opened both front and room doors. Chris and Ryan, who run the house, were unfailingly helpful although they do not live on site but can be contacted by phone or WhatsApp. Few hotels can rival Butlers.

Very good value for money. Bed very confortable, location IS good. No interaction with the host but you dont need them as everything IS well prepared. Check in IS simple and fast. Would recommend.

😊: It is located near a vital street in the center of Aberdeen, in addition to its distinguished location among a series of tourist residences and hotels.. 😢: Lack of facilities, as it does not contain a dining hall only.

The rooms and the bed are good. However, the shower in the washroom needs to be changed. The hot water seems to give a bit of disappointment as either the water is not so hot enough or the hot cycles are included with cold cycles of water, which comes out directly as a shower. Thank you
