So I was told butterbitd was too expensive, but folks are wrong!
Went there with my wife on a Sunday and it was fairly busy at 1pm. I love that you are met right away by someone to take your order and explain the menu.
While driving to Butterbird, my wife already recited the menu and we decided to split the three chicken fingers plate with a side of fries. An Awesome choice!
We were given a number to place on our table to receive our food, and it came out quickly.
But first, the atmosphere here is tremendous done in wood, with the bar in the middle of the whole building. But what was great is the tremendous amount of booths that can seat six people or elevated table tops. The lighting was perfect, the temperature inside was perfect for the 13 degree weather and the place was very clean.
The food arrived quickly and I was in shock. Two of the chicken fingers looked like a quarter of a thigh! They were huge, well breaded but the big surprise was… the chicken melted in your mouth… literally! It was some of the best moist chicken I have ever eaten!
The fires were cut like McDonalds fries, but just seemed to lack something, like a seasoning or more salt. If anything, I think Butterbird should offer 3 different seasonings to put on the fries to jazz it up. All the food was hot.
I am glad my wife got the dill ranch to dip her chicken (and fries) because it was fantastic. I got the regular BBQ sauce, but it really lacked any flavor. I think if they made it a smoky flavor bbq it would be great, but it was only just “ok”.
This is one place I WILL be recommending to friends. An awesome meal, great atmosphere makes it perfect Regent St place to go eat.
Oh yeah and the price? It was justified by the huge portions, great taste and atmosphere!
I am one of the top 7% Google reviewers and have had my photographs reviewed over 2.3 million times. But most of all, I love food!
