Butterfly Conservatory

The place has all the hypes but honestly an underwhelming experience. There weren’t as many butterflies around (perhaps it was winter and/or my luck) and the self-paced loop was over fairly fast before you know it. I didn’t mind the $20 admission too much but the paid parking was annoying (double dipping!). And $30something for physical and soft photo versions they take after entrance (optional of course). The staff were friendly, which made the experience somewhat memorable. ⚠️ There are multiple parking lots so be sure to identify the right one of meeting with other guests.

We visited the Butterfly Conservatory using our Adventure Pass and found it to be a very peaceful, self-paced experience. After a quick scan at the entrance, you enter a humid, glass-enclosed garden that feels worlds away from the busy Falls area. The walk follows a winding path through dense tropical foliage where thousands of butterflies fly freely. We spent about 40 minutes here and really enjoyed the experience. It’s a simple, quiet attraction that’s easy to access via the WEGO bus and provides a nice break from the more high-energy stops on the pass.

Absolutely beautiful and truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It’s so peaceful inside, and for the price you’re free to spend as much time as you want just taking it all in. It’s the kind of place you’ll look back on and feel really glad you went. Butterflies are everywhere, it honestly feels like a Disney movie. I got to caress a butterfly🥹 So calming, so full of nature, and it leaves you in awe of the Creator🦋

It was middle of autumn weekend, and we assumed it the conservatory would be completely empty. It wasn’t packed, but it was fairly busy. Online ticket purchase helped and we were quickly inside. Although busy we were able to finish the entire round, up and down in less than 30 minutes. Some of the butterflies were unique. They flew in all directions, some so near to us. Other than the butterflies there is nothing else to see or do. We did two rounds and we were still done in under 45 minutes. Wish there was multiple things to see and do or some more history or background for all or some of the butterflies. There are some written things, but not enough.

I’d give 20 stars if I could! Everything was spotless and well maintained. The $20 entry fee was totally worth it. The moment you step inside, you can feel the amazing energy — butterflies are flying all around you, and the view is absolutely beautiful. If you love butterflies, this place is a must-visit! The staff was super friendly, and don’t miss the free rose garden outside.

We wanted a kid and baby-friendly activity for our mini getaway and am so glad we opted for this. We’ve been to Niagara Falls dozens of times but had never thought to explore this gem and we were so glad we did. We spent less than an hour here (thank you previous Google reviewers about the paid parking tip and only needing an hour!) yet it felt much longer. Adults, kid and baby were so enchanted by the exotic beauty of the thousands of gorgeous butterflies fluttering around. What a treat it was to be in their domain and admire in awe and wonder. It is humid of course so recommend to come in a t-shirt, regardless of the actual weather outside. We had our baby in a baby carrier and it worked out wonderfully; saw some other babies in strollers and preferred having a baby carrier as it allowed us to navigate easily on the paths. Gift shop was a lovely browse too; purchased a cute hologram butterfly bookmark for our son to remember this conservatory every time he reads. Highly recommended!

Cool small dome filled with many butterflies and tropical plants. I was impressed by the number of butterflies, but expected a little more variety of types. 20-30 minutes is plenty to see everything. Kind of expensive at over $20 for an adult and $8 parking in the lot. I would say it's worth stop if it's part of an included package...probably dont need to go out of your way to see just that unless you are a big butterfly fan.

Very cool so many different colors and kinds. Staff are knowledgeable and kind! The gift shop is also nice! Definitely take time and try to get them to land close or on you because they will!
