We stayed at Butterfly Home on July 19–20 and everything was simply perfect. The location is right in the heart of Budapest, with easy access to public transportation. Most of the city’s main attractions are within walking distance, which made getting around very convenient. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable — and having a view of the Danube River from our window was a real treat. The interior design of the hotel is charming and creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere. What truly makes this place stand out is the hospitality of the host. We were welcomed with a smile, received great local tips, and felt genuinely cared for. It honestly felt like home. I wholeheartedly recommend Butterfly Home to anyone looking for a peaceful, central, and high-quality stay in Budapest. It was an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Butterfly Home!

This property is at a perfect location for every mode of transportation in Budapest. Trains, trams, ferries, taxi or uber. My room had a very comfortable bed with clean linens and towels. Two sides of the room are windows looking out on a gorgeous view of the bridge and the Market building. The park in the front of the property provides lovely green space and there are restaurants and coffee shops just outside. The owner had great communication in WhatsApp and instructions to get into the building upon our arrival. The building has an old elevator and a series of doors and gates but it’s easy enough to solve through following the instructions from the owner for entry. A nice breakfast was served in the parlor in the morning and the owner let me purchase a super late check out. I was very grateful for that. I went to the Gellert Spa across the bridge and bathed there and so I did not use the shower in the room. I suspect the plumbing is old in a very old building but everything is kept clean and the staff obviously takes care at upkeep. I will definitely stay at Butterfly for my next visit to Budapest.

This is a classic B&B that we Brazilians are not always accustomed to finding it in our country. However, those who have experience with B&Bs and Airbnb will surely find nothing strange about this B&B. Spacious rooms (we stayed in one with 4 beds), a shower inside the bathtub, and a very Hungarian breakfast. The building is located in a very noble area of Pest and is close to all public transportation. The host is super kind within Hungarian standards, providing precise information and making life much easier for those arriving in Budapest. All check-ins must be done by around noon, and you should have the owner's phone contact because neither he nor anyone else resides in that part of the building. Thus, upon arrival, there is a sequence of codes and doors to follow. I joked with my family that it was like a Treasure Hunt to find the key and gain access to the room. For me, the experience was incredible, though others might not like it as much. So, pay attention to everything written by the owner and follow it to the letter. It's a really cool proposal.

Stayed here for 4 nights with friends. Room was clean and had everything we needed but very basic. Breakfast was continental help yourself but again very basic. Could be much better if provided fresh fruit instead of tinned fruit. Great location very central all in all we enjoyed out stay and had a great time x

Hands down the best accommodation we found! The host is amazing and there is a huge breakfast spread each morning. Super super close to metro and trams. The liberty bridge is right outside so location wise it’s superb. It’s an old rustic European style building and we as a group of friends are enjoying our new years stay here! Definitely recommended!

I loved my accommodation! Very good location. From the bus station, the train goes under the Danube River. Bus to the airport is also close by. Rustic, charming building. Very comfortable bed, large bedroom and great breakfast. Best variety in my entire trip! You can walk anywhere. It is also across the Grand market, food and beers. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Don't hesitate!

Never trust this establishment. Never share credit card info or whatsoever. Even I had free cancellation clause through booking .com and I cancelled it long before deadline they still charged my card in the morning of the original check in day which was many days after I cancelled this reservation.with the free cancellation promotion. Even after several attempts directly with and than through booking.com, The owner never returned my money back until now. Keeps lying if you can reach him. Very Rude on the side. I still have to deal with booking.com to get my money back.Very unprofessional. Doesn’t even follow nor read his B2B contract clauses with booking.com because he just wants to make few more bucks and thinks he can get away with it. Once he learns your phone number he will never answer your phone nor texts. No need to say that his building despite its location is filthy. I know it cause I have been there trying to find someone to solve the problem but of course no chance. I would honestly recommend everyone to Stay away from this place and especially do not share any financial documents with them. You will be sorry otherwise. On the side, I dont know if I can trust booking.com’s free cancellation policies from now on !

I must say it’s one of the loveliest places we’ve stayed. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is lovely, but the best part is how kind the owner is. He takes the time to help you plan what to do while you’re here, gives you pointers on what to avoid & even makes a coffee for you in the morning. What set this place apart though was we ran into an issue with public transport and he had a phone call with us to give us advise on the situation. Completely above & beyond what a bed & breakfast needs to do, this guy really cares. HIGHLY RECOMMEND ☺️
