Good location. Efficient staff - 'check in' was a breeze! Room was a comfortable size. King bed was comfortable as well with four pillows (2 firm, 2 soft). Bathroom was almost as large as the room. Shower was terrific with great water pressure. Smoke sensor was sensitive so have to turn on the AC. Actually the AC was the only con- worked too well so and we were a tad cold all night. Room also came with an air purifier tho air quality was fine. Tea, coffee, and kettle were provided, as well as fridge, and complimentary bottles of water. Great value for the money!!

The room is clean. Excellent location. Amenities are fine, and wish they offer body lotion too. The cell phone and portable WiFi device are useful. The bed is a bit too firm to my preference, but the comforter and pillows are nice. Cleaning staffs did a great job cleaning and tidying the room. Front desk is helpful and courteous, some are very friendly, but they they wouldn't initiate any greetings till I said hi or good morning to them first. Overall it was a nice stay. I would recommend and stay there again.

The hotel had lovely rooms with butterfly clips on the pillows and amazing views. The staff was very kind and helpful. I had a nice sleep for two nights on the second floor. They even supplied us with shower needs (example: shampoo) a dental kit, shower caps, and a sanitary bag. I was on the second floor and I slept very good. I do recommend it for travelers to Hong Kong. Its location is great with easy transportation. I love this hotel and I wish to go there again.

Excellent stylist and handy hotel. Very friendly and helpful front of house staff. Booked a family room in 2nd floor, super quiet a slept till 9am without hearing any street noise. Comfortable beds and awesome shower. Good value for money !

Be careful. This is not a 4stars hotel. Very old furniture and in bad conditions same as carpets. You can tell by the walls as soon as get if the lifts. Bad taste and poor quality. I booked a room with a wifi device that wasn’t given until I complain. Not a single help if you carry many bags. Just go across the road!

I was travelling in a group of 4 and we shared a large family style room. The room was large as expected with a huge bathroom and amazing shower. The water pressure on the shower was perfect. The room we had included 2 double beds, a twin sized bed and a couch. The family rooms are located on the first and second floors, but a large room was a fair compromise for a better view.

American here...offer free amenities like chargers and fans. Staff is very friendly! Everything is clean. Bed is a bit hard but if you stay busy all day, you be too tired to care. Location is great and walking distance to mist everything essential and some excellent restaurants.

Very old hotel room even for so called pure air signature room. Cracks on walls. Not hygienic with bad smell. The TV was very tiny, not clear and using analogue signal. The rooms are not properly sound proofed. The windows are not double glazed so the noise coming in from the streets. Bars, clubs, saunas nearby hotel located. Noisy & complicated. Looks like a 2-3 stars motel. I would definitely not go back again. Not worth its price.

Just got back from Hong Kong after a week long vacay with my family. We had a total of 16 of us - 4 "families" in a family room and a pair in a room with double beds. It's considered a 'boutique hotel' that I would recommend for families. What's nice is there are great restaurants all around - with a Circle K and 7-ll close by - as well as a McDonalds to get that cup of morning coffee. Great distances to the MTR and to Nathan Rd where all the shops are. The staff is a mix but overall very friendly, helpful and will help wherever they can. My dad wanted to try the place where you pick your seafood and they cook it up for you - they provided all the info we needed - included what MTR and bus to take!! So easy breezy... And because there was so many of us - they were able to help us with restaurants and reservations. Oh the reason for the mix on staff is for some reason the girls that work the front desk at night seemed to care more about their phone than helping us and really could ONLY recommend "duck places" close by. SERIOUSLY? So I think it's more of who they had staffed that night. Also they change the sheets every other day - and for the days you don't want they will pick up and give you more water, toilet paper, etc. OH and if you book a family room - you get a personal Wifi for the week! LOVED it - it allowed our family to be in constant contact without using data. AND for the room with the double - they could "rent" it for $3HK a day... so worth it.. and you can ask for a charger as well. The only thing we didn't care for was that they had one bathroom with the ONE mirror in the bathroom. Then we found out you could "borrow" a makeup mirror. There's actually quite a few things you could "borrow" - like a diffuser, charger cables, adapters, umbrellas, etc. SO HELPFUL! AND they had these humidifiers in the room that made the room feel fresh. Also their air/heating system so easy to understand and set. The rooms aren't all cookie cutters. My sister had similar set up as mine but had 2 sinks and smaller shower - so it does vary a bit. I love how central they are and the rooms are kept clean and again staff is very friendly and helpful.

I'm fairly happy that I found this place by myself. The location is excellent and on a quieter street in Kowloon, just one block from the Kowloon Terminal express bus stop. The bathroom is large by Kowloon standards with a roomy shower. The room itself was very clean. The lobby is a bit small but very good customer service. There is no bar or restaurant although it is adjacent to a few. The hotel is a good value. My only complaint is that the room I stayed in is ready for an update, it just was a bit older in feel and furnishings. They furnish you with a free loaner cell phone and free on site wifi. I've stayed in other Kowloon hotels at this price and this one was better than others.

Free WiFi. 5 min walk to the MTR. Friendly, clean... Perfect for our short hong Kong stay. They even let you borrow a cell phone to make local calls. Now don't expect a lot of space it's hong Kong after all.

Considering this yuppish-location, for the deal we got, Butterfly offers convenience and value. Liked how they offered an internet router, so no need to buy a SIM card for data, unless you really need to make phone calls. As expected for HK standards, it's a very tight hotel, even the lobby front desk can be like a jungle, only about a few feet behind you as people coming in and out without bumping into you. But security's great, you can only be buzzed in to each floor. Washrooms are definitely on the tighter end if you're 200 lbs+. Lots and lots of restaurants, and local shopping. A major mall within a few big blocks and a subway station within a minute walk. No gym or business centre. Worth considering on my next return in a month.

Horrible client services!! Don't care the client, just want their money!! First of all, a male representative said he can make a exception for me to change my reservation, but I have to pay the difference. I agree with to pay the difference. Then he suggested me to contact the booking company and let them know the hotel is offering a exception for me to change the date. When I called back to let them know that the company wasn't able to change it. And because this hotel gave me a exception. The hotel should be able to charge it for me.(that's what the third party told me) This time was a female representative, I told her the whole story. She refused to do anything, and keep saying I didn't pay for their hotel, I paid for the booking company. They didn't get the money. It doesn't make any sense, they don't receive any money, but they let people stay in their hotel??

This is my first time being in Hong Kong (I'm from the U.S.) and I must say, I am pleased to have booked such a fine hotel. The Butterfly on Prat have exceeded my expectations in many regards. Prior to my trip, I've been told that many hotels in Hong Kong offer small rooms with bad service and was surprised that this wasn't the case when I checked in. Each one of the hotel staff members (both reception and housekeeping) were very friendly and accommodating. I was quite relieved that all of the receptionists are bilingual because albeit I could speak Cantonese fairly well due to my family's Hong Kong roots, my primary and preferred language is English. The location is very convenient - the train station was less than 5 minutes away by foot and I could also hail a taxi at any given time. It is also surrounded by various stores, shopping centers, and restaurants; which was definitely a plus (and there's also a bar downstairs). It is close to the well-known Nathan Rd and there are even a few tourist attractions in its vicinity within walking distance. Despite all the city noises below, our room was mostly quiet and it very comfortable. The only reason why I didn't give it full stars is because I have originally booked an executive room with 2 beds online and was provided with only one. This posed a problem since I was traveling with my mother (whose name the reservation was under) as well as my younger sister and therefore, it would not have been feasible for all three of us to fit into the single queen bed they offered. This issue was ultimately resolved as we were given a rolling twin bed upon my request. Staff of Butterfly, thank you for making my stay a wonderful experience. I plan to return again in the future. Overall, this is an exemplary hotel and I would absolutely recommend. Pros: The room is complete with a fridge, a water heater, bottled water, amenities like toothbrushes and slippers, and there is even a complimentary smartphone to use during our stay. Cons: None. I love everything about this hotel.

The butterfly on Prat is very central in the Chinese area of HK and it is its best quality. Inside the hall they spray a very strong perfume, but once you get in the room the smell is different and the AC is pumped up. There's no attention to small details and the small things you find to help you in the hotels are definitely not there. The staff though is extremely friendly and English is well spoken anywhere. Recommended for a few days trip.

Free cell phone and mobile hot spot (wifi) rooms are nice. The staff know English and are able to give great directions with maps. Your right next to a McDonalds. I think it's a very good place to stay if your from a western country

Holy moly the smell of mildew is overwhelming in the tiny room. If the windows open, I can't figure out how to do it, and it smells like I'm trapped in someone's damp cellar. Aside from the overwhelming stench, it seems like a pretty decent little hotel. Creative touches like labeling the pillows firm and soft, an international power converter, and a "Handy" smart phone to take with you are a nice bonus. A bottle of Febreze would be great, but even without it, this is a charming place.

Great location near Nathan Road. Few minutes walking from MTR. The staff is wonderful and English is spoken everywhere. Room is very boutique like - choices in pillow comfort. Shower is nice and bathroom amenities came in hand when I forgot my toothbrush. Short walk to Clock a Tower and the most amazing night view of Hong Kong island. All rooms come with a smartphone that you can use locally for maps and Internet. Great feature! They also have items for you to borrow during your stay including selfie stick, GoPro-like camera, power pack for charging electronics, lighted mirror, usb hub... I would recommend this place :)
