Butterfly on Waterfront Boutique Hotel

I really enjoyed my five night stay in this hotel. It was available early in the morning for check-in, the staff were polite and friendly, and breakfast (with a few options) was included. This saved a lot of time thinking where I should go for breakfast, if I didn't want to think. The room is designed to make maximum use of space and it was refreshing to have some room to move around in the bathroom and the main room. I loved the shower, the firm bed and the different types of pillows available. The furnishings were quality and the room was very pretty. The views in the Harbour room were also amazing. The only thing I would fault is the lack of a bin liner for the bin (to be placed in the main room) and the often long wait for one of the two lifts, as the lobby and restaurant was on first floor, rather than ground floor. The Handyphone provided was great as another device for photo taking but it's access to the Internet network was poor, so I couldn't navigate the streets with the phone. Other than those three things, it's quite close to perfect.

We had a small but comfortable room with a view of the harbour. The staff were very nice but a few minor issues cause the hotel to score 4/5. Firstly, the window blinds were broken so that the harbour view could only be enjoyed when we physically held up the blinds. The bathroom was also very compact. It could benefit from somewhere to hang a towel, and the smoked glass toilet door did not provide adequate privacy.

Beautiful hotel with harbour views. Room was exceptionally comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the extra touch of two types of pillows (soft or firm) labeled with a felt butterfly pin. The room was quiet, I hardly heard the traffic outside nor any other hotel guests. The only downside is they do not serve breakfast. However, there is a small fridge so I was able to get food the evening before to have ready.

Excellent hotel. Good price, extremely friendly staff, reasonably sized rooms (for Hong Kong). Clean and modern. Nice view of the park and the water from the room. Free pocket wifi was a nice bonus and worked well. Plus they offered free espresso in the mornings.

Very convenient hotel. The hotel is located in a convenient location that's easily accessible by MTR, trams and buses. It's a short stroll to Central if you're game. The short taxi ride also makes this a great location to stay at if you are on a business trip and need to head to the convention Centre The bed was very comfortable and the hotel even provides guests with a free mobile phone to use while going around Hong Kong. The only issue I had was the dust in the bathroom and the stains on the wall. The rooms are a bit tired and in need of some refurbishment. Apart from that, the staff are very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely stay there again because of the team and the convenient location. Excellent value for money especially for Hong Kong.

Very good... not much of a view out of the window notwithstanding, this place is very centrally located for downtown HK. Front desk guys great. One busy elevator serving dozens of storeys isn't ideal though. There is a fire staircase you'd rather use at times. Also minor cleanliness issues in rooms but I've overlooked these on this occasion.

Stayed for 2 nights at deluxe twin beds room. Paid $121/nt. Very quiet, bed was comfortable and clean, had ocean view as stayed at 21st fl. Had shower stall. Just had mild water drainage problem in the shower. Strong water jet. Had mold on shower wall. No bad smell from bathroom.

I really enjoyed my stay at this wonderful hotel. I very much enjoyed my room, and the view into the harbor. The staff was great, location was a little out of the way, but very close to underground train, that made for nice quite area to relax. Aossthesteet you can access a running path, and public fitness gym, with many activities happen, or a place to sun bath on some green grass!

Made a booking at this hotel via Booking.com. It's well-rated on both Booking and TripAdvisor & we enjoyed our stay. Butterfly on Waterfront is not the fanciest, swankiest hotel but it gets the job done if you're looking for somewhere relatively affordable, comfortable, and clean to stay in HK! If you want swanky swanky, go over a bit more east to The Excelsior (owned by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group). *The front of the hotel is really unassuming and you have to take the elevator up one floor to the lobby. *The location in Central is great - a 20 minute walk from the Hong Kong MRT station and also walkable to LKF and all the other hot neighborhoods. *The room itself was clean and comfortable. It's Hong Kong-sized so I wasn't surprised. Try staying at a microhotel in Europe - THOSE are actually what I'd call small/tiny. * Like most HK hotels du jour, they also provide a cell phone with free local calling & some data if you need it. You can also rent a few things from the front desk like a selfie stick, HDMI, portable fan, etc. *We also had a small, but nice view of the bay! *The only complaint I have is that we could smell someone smoking on our non-smoking floor. But, after that night, there wasn't a smell nor peep from anyone on our floor. By the way, you don't actually have to check-in by 11:30pm - they're a 24-hour hotel. 159/365

Be prepared for a SMALL hotel that makes the most efficient use of space that you have ever seen. Coming from the US, this room was the size of a closet. I could reach out and touch all the walls by standing in the middle of the bathroom. (which included a sink, shower, and toilet) On the positive side, the hotel does seem clean with the exception of the the towels smelled disgustingly of mildew. Good views. This along with many other newer hotels in Hong Kong provides a cell phone in the room that you can take with you to have a local number and internet to look at google maps. Hotels with this option immediately jump to 3 stars in my mind. The free breakfast is underwelming. 2 pieces of toast, a drink, and 3 entree options that stay the same every morning. The salad option which seems so odd for an early morning meal is the tinniest thing you ever did see.
