Butterley Park Cookhouse + Pub

Stuff were helpful. The carvery was okay however the gravy was pretty tasteless which let the whole meal down. My friend was given on the carvery the end piece of beef which turned out to be pretty chewie she couldn't eat it and had to leave that meat.

Was given dirty plate. After I refused the very dirty plates I was "asked "Is this one clean enough for you" I said no it's still dirty. To which nothing was offered. I said fine I will come back when there's new plates. I came back the new plates where also dirty. I asked if there were any others and was just looked at. I was forced to eat off a dirty plate or not at all. The food itself varies. Yoirkshire pudding was nice , even though some where burnt the carrots were good. The beef was okay. The potato and turnips where floury and not crispy and undercooked. As was the cauliflower cheese. I complained to management and they did apologize but people should be aware. Eating off of plates crusted with dirt and wet dirt is a healthy and safety issue and when I addressed iy the replacement was also dirty. Waitress was good.

Had an evening meal here… stood waiting to be seated whilst 2 girls sprayed cleaner on a cloth and just looked at us… the lady behind the bar actually said “won’t be a minute” then came and sat us down. Ordered a drink and a main, took 20 minutes to get the drink, the food then arrived not longer after it was a burger and chips… an overcooked barely warm burger and cold chips obviously been left on the pass. The place wasn’t even that busy. Had breakfast there as well but stay away from the bacon it’s like cardboard but the rest is okay.

I stayed in the adjacent Premier Inn for 4 consecutive nights, the food and service in the Butterly Park Cookhouse every morning and evening was excellent. All Staff were warm, helpful, attentive and friendly, I was served by Adele on my final night who again was fantastic.

Beautiful all you can eat breakfast! Plenty of choice, food serving areas always full so no waiting, lovely fresh produce (especially the sausages). Exceptionally clean and really modern homely feel! Staff all really friendly and helpful! Great value for money, including kids ear for £1 with a full paying adult!! Will definitely be back!! 👏🏻

Always enjoy visiting this restaurant, you receive a warm welcome and the service and staff are excellent, friendly and genuine. Food quality very good and great value for money. The atmosphere is relaxed and very welcoming. Can definitely recommend a visit!

5stars & more for Adele, who was a star letting us have her small tube of toothpaste after I had forgotten ours! She didn’t need to do that but she did. So very kind & amazing Customer Service with a smile! Many thanks Adele 👍😍

Myself and my family attended today and I had the mix grill, over £17 and paid extra for te 8oz steak, the steak was nice but the gammon and the ham was like cardboard, you had the tinest portion and they was so dry it was awful.... our bill towards the end come to like £97..... I was gobsmacked. The quality and quantity to the mix grill was not their, when your paying over £21 for your meal you expect quality, i didn't even have chips or the onion rings either.... also the food was cold, the only thing that was warm was the steak, not much choice for kids desserts either my little boy just wanted a strawberry ice cream sundae and all available vanilla ice cream or a fruity ice cream which he didn't like, he came home hungry and so did I, when you pay the money I have its very disappointing. Staff was lovely, just a big shame about the food.

On our semi regular trips down the country there ate very few places to take a rest and get something to eat. Really, the choice is limited to three. The first is McDonald's, which is, well, McDonald's. The second is Sainsbury's and the third is Brewer's Fayre. Anyway, here we were, weary travellers on a Friday night, in need of sustenance, not particularly wanting a hamburger and past sainsbury's closing time; Brewers Fayre it was. They really have two menu offerings. The first is your standard chain pub grub, all pies, burgers and pasta. The second, and what probably draws the majority of visitors is the buffet. Each night of the week has a different theme, in no particular order, Mexican, Italian, Burgers, Indian, Chip Shop, Chicken and Carvery. The prices vary depending on the night, but are generally less than a tenner for person. We were in on a Friday, so got the Chip Shop night. The buffet has a reasonable variety of food, at a reasonable level. Don't go expecting anything brilliant, but what they do have is good and you get plenty of it. On offer the night we went was; Fish, Chips, Battered Sausage, Fish Cakes, Pies, Cod Bites, Chicken and Mushy Peas, all served with gravy, curry sauce and Bread and Butter. Great for a chip sandwich. Soft drinks are on an all you can drink whichever menu you go for. All in all, if you're looking for a quick, filling and well priced meal, then pop on in.

It's a Brewers Fayre so... really nothing to shout about. The food is nice enough, the staff are nice enough, it's an alright place to visit if you're into that kind of crappy family-friendly environment, but it wouldn't be my first dining choice by any means!
