Buttermilk is an American-style restaurant with some really strong highlights, but also a few misses. Overall, I’d rate it around a 3.5/5.
I did feel it was a bit overpriced for what you get. The “seasonal vegetables” were underwhelming, just one type of leafy green and a tomato sliced into four pieces. The soup was okay, but nothing special.
That said, they absolutely nailed some dishes. The buttermilk biscuits were very tasty, the ribs were amazing and full of flavor, and the blueberry pie was superb, definitely one of the best parts of the meal.
It’s the kind of place where some items shine while others fall short. I would go back, but it’s not my favorite spot in town
