This place made for a wonderful Sunday breakfast - but be prepared to wait! For two of us, we waited 35 minutes for the first available table and we ended up sitting at the bar. It was a great experience - the waitress tending the counter was super attentive to our coffee and she was thorough. We tried the eggs Benedict, caramel apple pecan pancakes and the Whole Hog skillet. Everything was delicious. We will definitely be back again.

We were told on a airport shuttle in Indianapolis IN to try out Butters for breakfast. The place did not disappoint. Eggs were light and fluffy with such a good taste. Bacon was done perfect as requested. The grits were some of the best I have ever had. And the pancake were yum. The peppermint tea was amazing as well. If you in Scottsdale try this place out. We did have to wait 30 minutes to get in but it was worth the wait.

This is a great brunch spot. The prices are quite good for amount of food you get. I ordered an omelette and potatoes and I didn't even realize it came with pancakes. The omelette was a custom smoked salmon, tomato, and onion. It was good flavors, a tad overdone, but not complaints at this price point. The buttermilk pancakes were fantastic. They were golden brown and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The only real downside is that on a Sunday the wait for a table was 90 minutes long. My group made the best of it and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Overall, if you don't mind the wait or go on a slower day, Butters is worth it.

Butters is one of those places that always seems to have a wait, no matter the location, and there’s a good reason for it. The service is consistently great, and the food is absolutely phenomenal. I honestly can’t pick a favorite because everything I’ve tried has been delicious. That said, the protein pancakes are a standout, and the buffalo chicken wrap for lunch is also incredibly good. Always worth the wait!

We drove all the way from California and finally tried this breakfast spot—and it did not disappoint! We tried a little bit of everything . The pancakes were fluffy and so good, the different French toast flavors were amazing, and even the chicken tenders were juicy and perfectly cooked. Definitely worth the hype. The place is clean, the service is friendly, and the only “downside” is the wait it’s only because the food is THAT good. Definitely a must-try if you’re in Phoenix!

Where have you been all my life! Had the corned beef hash skillet which was outstanding. A lot of corned beef, perfectly cooked with 2 poached eggs. As a side I had the blueberry danish pancakes pictured which I shared with the table-so rich and equally amazing. Plenty of hot coffee and the serve was kind and an equal match to the amazing food!

Seriously good!! Nice atmosphere, its a little loud but did not hinder the conversation at our table. Allll the staff were excellent, respectful and friendly. The service was quick and even though it was a full house we were never rushed. The coffee is delicious and all the breakfast options were amazing! All made with fresh ingredients, and order requests were well made and delivered with a smile. Portion sizes are more than enough and I can't wait to come back and try something different from the vast menu! I had breakfast today but they also serve lunch. Enjoy!

Food is top tier. I ordered the smoked salmon scramble, hash browns and buttermilk pancakes. Pancakes-buttery, scramble-fresh and delicious. The vanilla latte is perfect. My server was really sweet, personable and attentive. Food came out quickly and wait time on a Saturday morning at about 9:30 am was about 10 minimum for one person. I ate at the bar and everything was clean and no weird dish water smells or old food. It was an excellent experience.

Just adore this place. Every location I've been is always exceptional; the food to notch, the service A+ & efficiency is so impressive. Today we came in after an appointment thinking midweek it shouldn't be too busy.... WRONG! This place is so good it's always busy, the wait is not bad at all due to their efficient team, the way they work to clear tables is awesome. Ordered the (favorite) Baked Potato Omlete, side of fruit with the cinnamon swirl pancakes option. I have never eaten here without ordering the cinnamon swirl pancakes as a side one way or another. Audrey, was our server today..... I cannot say enough about Audrey.. The servers are great everytime, regardless of location, but today! Audrey set the tone.... Greeted with a beautiful smile, inviting personality, a dash of wit & exceptional service. If I can only have Audrey as my server reach time, I would only visit this location. Thanks for the great food & wonderful service.

We ordered two of the pancakes and they were so good! Honestly, they didn't even need syrup or anything on top -- they were that flavorful on their own. The place was packed even on a Thursday during the daytime, which says a lot about how good it is. Definitely worth it though, and I would absolutely order the pancakes again!

My wife actually treated me to Butters because she had been before and kept telling me I needed to try it. She was right. We went on Presidents Day, so it was packed -- about a 35-minute wait -- which honestly tells you something right there. But the good part is there's plenty to do nearby, so the time flew by. We walked over and shopped at Hobby Lobby while we waited, which made it feel like no wait at all. Once we were seated, the service was attentive and quick. Even with a full house, the staff stayed on top of everything. Drinks came out fast, food didn't take long, and our server checked in just enough without hovering. You could tell they were busy, but they handled it smoothly and professionally. I ordered the All Hog Skillet with pancakes on the side and a fresh-squeezed orange juice. The skillet was loaded -- sausage, bacon, ham, eggs, and crispy potatoes -- hearty and flavorful without being greasy. The pancakes were soft, fluffy, and golden, exactly what you want from a place that specializes in them. And that fresh-squeezed orange juice? Bright, refreshing, and the perfect balance to the savory meal. Overall, it was a great experience -- good food, efficient service, and a nice little Presidents Day outing with my wife. She definitely put me on to a solid breakfast spot. Rating: 9/10 -- We'll be back.

Been there twice in the past three weeks. Debut I went with their buttermilk pancakes. Topped it with cinnamon apples. Every5ying was fresh and I loved they had whipped butter and the syrup was heated. When I needed extra they did it. I sat in a table. I mention this because they bring every table a full pitcher of water. While appreciative, it can be a waste of this precious commodity because not everyone drinks an entire pitcher even with multi humans and not everyone asks for or seeks water. I was surprised they do not sell an impossible sausage patty for us vegan folks or flexitarian as it would of hit it out of the park. The second time me and the spouse sat on the counter. This time it was a glass of water again a nice touch but they should ask if you want it. Plus add ice to it. Who wants water sans ice? I went with their veggie omelette with egg whites. Another $1 extra for them to do this. Seriously you believe this increases your profit margin? Here's an idea go through your entire menu and strip out the things nobody eats. Tada, better profit margins and sales. Anyway it was good, I ate barely a quarter of the omelette, it's too massive to eat in one setting. Killed the cheese. They are great for modifications and service I did the fresh squeezed OJ whixh was good but I got a small glass. Regardless tasty. If you just do the buttermilk pancakes which they will have powdered sugar on them, the price point is 11.50 before modifications. The omelette will set you back 17.50. I recommend getting their no later than 7.30 am during the week if you want to get a table. The weekends? They get slammed and while they move fast, go counter if you can. And tip these folks a good amount. Trust me, they earn it.

Staying in the neighborhood and decided to order breakfast to go. The place was packed inside! Seems like locals love it! And we did enjoyed food and service too! Very friendly and super nice

We visited this spot as we had a coworker that was taken on in new journey in life. We had a larger group so we got our name on the list and wait time was about an hour. It was a bit disappointing, realizing there were no mimosas on the menu, but nonetheless, I ordered the baked potato omelette with a side of pancakes and grits. I really enjoyed the grits and the pancakes were good as well. The omelette was a little dry, but had somewhat of the baked potato flavor. So it's actually an omelette just with baked potato fixings in the middle and creama drizzled over the top. The waiters were friendly.

After the second visit, I can say: Five Stars. Great coffee. Omelets are delish. Spinach & Swiss crepes with hollandaise sauce very very good. Lox and eggs scramble, really good. It's a wee pricey ($4 for toast? C'mon) but top preparation, from scratch. Downsides: A bit noisy; lots of foot traffic. Comfy not deluxe seating. Upsides: Indoor and heated patio seating. Very good coffee, good and thoughtful detailed service-- they earn every dime. Huge menu, including brunch favorites. Many vegetarian but vegan might be tough. Taste is great. Get there early; lines form. Could be useful for small meetings, but the noise and logistics might be tough. Plentiful parking. We got there early and feasted, fueled well for the day. Recommended.

There's something incredible about a waffle topped with vibrant strawberries and warm syrup. This one from Butter Pancakes & Cafe delivered pure breakfast joy. See my photo! A customer next to us had an order of grits. They looked so delicious that I added a side midway through breakfast, and our waitress quickly accommodated. If cozy came in a bowl, that's how I'd describe them. They were warm, soothing, and the perfect salty counterbalance to a sweet waffle. There's always a wait at Butters, but it's worth every minute. The service is speedy. The wait staff is efficient, but friendly. This is a bustling, loud breakfast spot that I will choose again and again!

Second time back to Butter's. I went a little late on a Saturday morning and ended up waiting for 30 mins but it's worth it! Their reservation system syncs with Yelp so you can see how long and what position in the line you are. I really like that feature. I had coffee which was pretty good considering it was just drip coffee. For breakfast it's so hard to decide because the menu is so extensive! Both my dad and I had skillets because there is a little bit of everything, eggs, hash browns, cheese, veggies, meat. Plus you can get a pancake or toast. Their pancakes are so delicious. I got the Santa Fe without chorizo and pancakes of course. My dad got the bacon, mushroom and onion skillet. Both of us opted for pancakes because duh they are so good. Service was fantastic and attentive. It is really loud in there though but it's because it's so busy!! There are so many more options on the mini so I'll definitely be back.

I love butters! It never disappoints. I have been to all three locations and one thing that they all have is consistency. Regardless of the location, the food is the same. The pancakes are delicious, the omelettes are amazing and fluffy, the French toast dip is delicious and the Nutella French toast was amazing, sweet but not too sweet with no syrup needed. It was a busy morning but we were sat in less time than quoted and our server was really nice. It's definitely a busy and popular spot but a must try!

Great breakfast spot! Our service was excellent! There is always a wait but it is worth it! Some of the best pancakes. I definitely recommend ordering with real maple syrup though. The place is always busy but they are efficient. The fresh squeezed juice is also delicious! The place is very loud, but that's okay. The omelettes are some of the best I've ever had. Looking forward to going back soon!

This is the breakfast spot you were looking for. They were busy but we never waited long to be sat or get food, never felt rushed and had great food. The cheesy grits!?!? It's a MUST. The scrambles are SO fluffy.. how do they do that? The orange juice? You are making a mistake by not getting any.

I am so happy we were in the neighborhood today! Always looking for a new place to eat and we found another one. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well as a bar for seating. There was a short wait, but it is Sunday an hour before close. We were seated within the window time and greeted by Marcy, our server. The menu is large and organized very aesthetically. The food-Oh my. Delicious. Bacon Mushroom Onion scramble with caramel apple pecan pancakes. Uhhhmazing! Props to this new favorite restaurant of mine. Ask for Marcy if you visit! She went above and beyond. Yes, those are not the pancakes I ordered. Marcy was kind enough to get this appetizing plate pic for me!

Butters is one of my favorite places to grab brunch. There are indoor and outdoor seating options, super friendly staff, and they have a huge collection of crepes (my guilty pleasure) along with an extensive menu. Everything I've tried has been delicious, and the coffee keeps flowing. That said - don't come with a hungry toddler expecting to sit right down and eat. This place isn't much of a secret and gets PACKED on the weekends. Plan for around 45 minutes of a wait if you're coming at a popular time on a Saturday or Sunday, and you won't be disappointed. Good thing is that if you need to distract a child, there's an attached shopping mall with all sorts of exciting shops to explore. Speaking of the toddler - great kids menu. The One Egg Meal has been a hit every time. When she's old enough, they have an extensive selection of pancakes for kids as well, not just the plain options.

Horrible customer service! Went there for a late breakfast plenty of sitting open yet they had me waiting for a seat! Another woman walks in and they sit her right away! I get up go back to the counter and ask how much longer is the wait and now I'm being told they don't have anything open even though they just sat someone as soon as she walked in the door! I walked out and will not go there again even though it's around the corner from my home!

We've visited Butterfields on Shea, Butters on Raintree and Butters on Mayo and the food has been fantastic every time. What do you call someone who always orders the same thing? I'm not sure--but that's definitely me. I always get the Swedish Pancakes with a side of bacon. It's my go-to order and it never disappoints. Others I've dined with have tried the French toast, crepes, and different pancakes, and they've all raved about their meals as well. I'm giving four stars instead of five because the portions seem to have gotten a bit smaller over time--though they're still more than I can finish. My favorite location is the one at Mayo and Scottsdale Road because of the large outdoor patio. It's a great place to enjoy breakfast when the weather is nice. Definitely worth a visit!

I forget that businesses pick up in volume during season and I thought it would be super easy for a party of one just to walk in. I forgot about adding myself to the waitlist. I arrived probably just after 11 AM to a 15 to 20 minute wait, first available. When it was my turn, I was shown to a table, but I opted to sit at the counter bar which also requires you to put your name in. The server with the dark brown hair and ponytail was very friendly and offered a beverage right away. I placed my order for the Irish Benedict, which has the corned beef hash and onion and comes with either hash brown or pancakes. The food was promptly served, and the server check back. Everything was great. I just remembered back in the days that the corned beef was the actual like chunkier version I could be wrong. This was definitely the ground up hash version. It was OK overall I probably would not get this entrée again. The place was very busy. Lots of tables. Lots of seniors. Parking out front can be challenging, but there is parking within the shopping center. It's a few minutes off of the 101 at Scottsdale Road. I would probably go back to their core menu items such as their pancakes or omelettes.

First timer and I would definitely return! The service and food are very good. My only advice is know that portions are very large (definitely not a bad thing) but know you'll have leftovers. We all ordered various items from a standard breakfast to their incredible pancakes. So good!

The wait time was only 12 minutes at lunchtime, the food was outstanding, and the pancakes are the best I've ever had anywhere, and the turnaround on the tables are very quick!! I love this place

family and I came here today for breakfast. It is a large and open space which was a really nice change. We didn't have reservations so when we got there, they told us 30 minute wait. We decided to wait since there were 7 of us. They got us seated in 10 minutes which was super. Our server was attentive and got us everything we needed during our visit. The food was excellent. It wasn't as innovative as another place we visited during this trip, but there is something to be said for classics being done very well. I had a veggie egg white omelette with jalapeño cheese that was very well made. The difference was the freshness of the veggies. It makes a big difference. The corned beef hash was vey good as well. Everyone enjoyed their meals immensely. Best part was the bill. This place is a bargain compared to other similar quality places in Scottsdale.

The food's always consistent. I get the scrambled eggs with lox and onion and cream cheese. The service is very good, the ambience is a little noisy.

Amazingly fresh and delicious! We were in Scottsdale for only 3 days and we came to Butters for 2 of the morning! Both times the place was hopping but service was quick and extremely friendly. Every single thing we put in our mouths were delicious. The ambience is so fresh and light, all servers were very friendly (even quickly brought out breakfast and bill for 2 of us that needed to catch an early flight). You canNOT go wrong stopping here for a deliciously prepared breakfast! The Scandinavian pancakes were so light and slightly crispy--perfectly made. Corn beef and potatoes skillet, all the banana and specialty pancakes, avocado toast, sausage gravy...EVERY thing was on point. This is a MUST stop (or more) if you're in the area!!!

We celebrated our daughter's Birthday over brunch today and everything was excellent! Of course, the food was delicious but what really shone was the fast and super-friendly service. Macy took care of us from the moment we sat down, topping off coffees before they got to halfway, making sure we had everything we needed and just anticipating our needs before we even realized what we needed. It is so rare to receive this level of service these days and we will definitely be back soon. If you haven't tried Butters for breakfast you absolutely should!

I'm a sucker for a good brunch place, and while I've been to Butterfield's, I have yet to be at any of the Butters Pancakes & Cafe restaurants. This morning, my wife and I met with for brunch with two friends, and it was quite the popular place to be. For a table of four, we were quoted about 35 minutes for first available seating as we didn't care if we were inside or outside. It ended up taking more than 45 minutes, and we were able to follow along through the Yelp app to show approximately how soon we would be seated. The restaurant announced names for those whose tables were ready. Unfortunately, we could never hear a clear name though we were close to the door. I asked twice to clarify the name. I am glad to know we would receive a text message when it was time to head forward to get the next table. I learned that two items that are VERY good at this restaurant are the pancakes and the orange juice. Our friends ordered various dishes including a coffee while I gave an orange juice a try. I ordered the two cage-free egg breakfast with eggs scrambled, which was served with fresh hash brown potatoes and two small pancakes. My wife ordered the seasonal fresh fruit bowl served with wheat toast. We then shared each item so that we could each enjoy half of the two meals. The eggs were fluffy and tasty while the potatoes were rather bland (though I didn't use salt, pepper, or ketchup so that was probably on me; I am just used to some sort of seasoning on it). The pancakes and orange juice were as good as we were told they would be, and the fruit and toast tasted as you would have expected. Visited here right after landing in Phoenix. Opted for a seat outside since the weather was nice. I ordered the BYO omelette and we shared a bowl of fruit for the table. The omelette was really nice and fresh. So was the fruit. I wouldn't say it was much that was extraordinary about the breakfast but I did appreciate how fresh it was and how quickly it came out. Our server was nice as well.

Always always a good meal here. Always packed too! But they bust their butts and get you seated pretty fast. Line was out the door today on a weekday! And they got us sat in less than 20 minutes. Sat at the bar and Allie our waitress was a little chatter box. Full of energy and so freaking sweet. Just loved her I got a Cobb salad today and it was so delicious. I'd been craving a Cobb for while and it did not disappoint My husband asked Allie for a cortado lol, which is a STARBUCKS coffee........ and this sweet girl made one!!!!! Hubs got the Mexicano skillet which is usually our go to. Never disappoints. Did the upcharge $2 for specialty pancakes and got the cinnamon roll. I don't even like sweets and I took several bites. Delish! I always forget to mention this, this restaurant DOES NOT SERVE ALCOHOL. Which was cool cause it saved me $$$ lol

On a mild autumnal morning, we arrived at Butters in search of a hearty diner-style breakfast. The place was packed with brisk business for a weekday morning - a very good sign (I imagine this place has a line out the door on weekends). Luckily, we only had to wait for one minute. Soon, I was staring down a plate of eggs over easy awaiting hotsauce, a side order of black beans and two veggie patties and two pancakes eager for butter and syrup. Absolutely delicious! The eggs and beans were perfectly cooked, the veggie patties were an inventive combo of rice, vegetables, and some sort of starch, but very tasty. And the pancakes were light, fluffy and exactly what I needed. One of the best breakfasts in the area, I highly recommend Butters. If you haven't tried, it you should stop on by ASAP!

ADDING that the FRESH jalapeños in the burrito are super special. Can't get that anywhere else or at most places. Love it! Always delicious food. Highly recommend.

Definitely 5 stars! We ordered pancakes, waffles, and a scramble skillet... all were terrific! My Belgian waffle was perfectly cooked! I had the strawberry glaze on the side so I could dip as I went. Delicious. Service is fast and really good. Ambiance is typical diner style, but they have a heated patio area to expand seating that was quite comfortable. This is a must stop kind of place.

Both the service and the food was very good. The service people were very friendly. I got the sausage and eggs and it was very tasty. I will come back the next time I'm in town.

I take everyone here at least once! It you enjoy pancakes, this is your place. I predicate being able to upgrade your plain pancakes to the specialty ones for only $3. Berry Bliss is my go to flavor. I also love the Mexicano a skillet. Coffee is delicious here and the service always is good. Tip: go early, and don't be surprised if there is a wait.

Saturday brunch at Butters takes a little planning folks. My group of four went around 10:30 and it was about a 45 minute wait. Thankfully there was shade to wait under because it was quite warm out. Butters has bar type seating, tables and patio seating. The patio had fans and misters and shade which made sitting outside tolerable. The menu has such good selection and the portions are large for brunch. I had the two egg breakfast + protein and ended up taking about 1/3 of it home for later because I was full. The hash browns it came with were more like breakfast scalloped potatoes minus the cheese. Really good though. My friends got the cappuccino blast and it looked delicious and refreshing, I had regrets about not getting one. We definitely will be back and I have my eye on the banana cream waffles !!

I met my friend here for brunch here as my first time at this location. I had tried to do a carryout order in the past but the wait time was almost anhour. This morning around 9:40am the wait to dine in for two people was 15-30mins. I overheard the hostess respomd to someone on the phone that the wait time was 45 minutes to an hour for a party of four. I was able to join their waitlist and it was a little a longer than 30 minutes but the wait is always worth it. The service is great from the staff and the food freshly cooked to order and scrumptious. I ordered the the corned beef hash skillet with a side of pancakes. My friend ordered the eggs benedict and a side of pancakes. We enjoyed every bite. This is the newest location of the Butters family owned franchise and its beautiful inside with plenty of space. The covered patio looked super comfortable too. I live in South Phoenix and the drive to this location or any of the others is always worthwhile.

Expect a longer wait on the weekends but it was so worth it! My boyfriend and I agreed this was one of the best classics breakfasts we have had in a while. Everything was yummy and i really enjoyed their version of hashbrowns.

Used to love this place but I will never come back! Ashley is RUDE and dismissive and I know she won't miss me but I bet the servers will...unfortunate when a place does such good business that they don't give a sh** about their customers!

I recently visited this Butters with my mother and some family visiting from out of town. The location on Mayo Boulevard is large and has a very nice patio, equipped with misters so it's not too toasty out there. We visited during what I believe was their early morning rush, so we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. I liked that the hosts text you when it's time to gather your group and be seated. It's much less hectic than conventional waitlists. For my meal, I had the baked potato omelette, which is my favorite, and a side of blueberry crumble pancakes. The pancakes were very sweet, but also very good. The omelette was delicious as always. Our server was very friendly and attentive despite it being so busy. Another great experience at Butters!
