Buttonwood Grove Winery

We saw that they had gotten high ratings, so we visited for a wine tasting. If you look at many of the positive reviews, they're for something else other than the wine. We agree and we understand why. Normally when we do a wine tasting, we can find at least one wine that we like and will buy a bottle to take home. Not at Buttonwood. Their wines taste nothing like the description and, to be honest, it doesn't matter. They just weren't any good. Compared to the better Finger Lakes wineries, they're not even close.

I would highly recommend a stay here. Visited the winery last year (delicious wines) and decided to try the cabin this year. Had a lovely view of Cayuga Lake from our front porch in the cabin. The cabin was very clean and very customer friendly with a small fridge, Keurig coffee maker, coffee, sugar, creamers, microwave, toaster oven, television, & Wi-Fi. Even though there are four cabins near one another and they were all occupied, you had privacy and didn't interfere with each other. They also supplied wood for a pitfire which we thoroughly enjoyed during our stay. The staff was very friendly and customer oriented. We are looking forward to a return visit!

Love this winery and love being a wine club member! The wines are very good and the service is fantastic. Stephanie is our favorite customer service representative! She took amazing care of us this past Monday. Went back yesterday and Laura did i nice job too. Hoping for one more visit before we leave the area. I love how they serve cheese and bread or gluten free crackers with every tasting. Nice touch! We do not stay there but stay near thank goodness!

Amazing winery! Diana was extremely knowledgeable and made our experience so enjoyable. Wines were delicious ...Buttonwood is the best hidden gem of the Finger Lakes! Gorgeous views, beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces, fantastic tasting experience! Highly recommend!!

We had a lovely wine tasting here! Our daughter was here earlier in the week and recommended it. It did not disappoint. An employee, Laura, helped us with our wine selections. She was wonderful. They give you a bit of cheese and bread to go along with the parents. You get five tastings for $15.

The wines here is excellent! I tried a good variety of wines, some Dry some sweet, not a bad one in the bunch. I think my favorite was the Sauvignon Blanc. One thing that really stood out to me, is their tasting notes on their menu were spot on, which is super helpful for folks like me who aren't wine experts.

I was surprised that we had to do our tasting out of the same glass. I didn’t care for one of my choices, so didn’t finish it. When the server came around for the 2nd pour, she told me I had to drink up in order to get the next taste. It was a bit startling. I suppose I could have asked for a fresh glass but the “tone” of the server didn’t lend to asking. I will applaud the option for gluten free crackers as one of our guests requires that.

I did a blind tasting with Bonnie. I did a terrible time guessing the wines, but it was a ton of fun, and the wines were all lovely. Bonnie made me feel right at home, and she seemed to enjoy picking out wines that might stump me. Whether you do a blind tasting or a traditional one, I highly recommend putting this on your list.

We enjoyed a relaxing wine tasting here last Sunday. The property is beautiful. From the long driveway through the vineyard, to the flower-lined walkway from the parking lot to winery, to the beautiful views from the porch, I appreciated every moment of it. The employees were friendly and checked on us frequently. We did a wine tasting and were impressed with their selection and quality of wines. The tasting also came with a few pieces of cheese and bread too. We also stayed for a glass of wine and lunch (they had a food truck on site), and bought a few bottles to take home. Overall we had a great experience and look forward to coming back one day! Highly recommend!

We initially stopped at a different winery but they had a wait and since we were on our way home on a road trip and were still hours away from home we came here. Glad we did. Excellent wines including a few different Rieslings. Service was great, tasting price was fair and included 5, a rose and 4 of your choice.

Our final stop of our 39th anniversary vineyard tour. This involve a blind tasting. Our server was fabulous at facilitating, friendly competition and conversation around the table as we tried multiple selections of her choosing. This was a unique and very fun experience we sat on the deck, enjoying a breathtaking elevated view of the lake. I would highly recommend this place . We left with a number of wonderful wines.

First - The Buttonwood Grove Winery is located in a gorgeous part of the world and their facility is really welcoming. One of the great things about the winery is its people. They are smart, knowledgeable, and seem to genuinely like what they are doing. They know their wines and answer questions openly and honestly. The downside of Buttonwood is that the majority of their wines aren't worth drinking. Of the 15 that my parents and I tasted, only two were worth it: the 2023 Melody ($16.99) And their sparkling wine, called "The Farm" ($24.99). We DID love the cheddar cheese that they sell! If you drink Oregon or Washington state Pinot Noir wines, don't bother with Buttonwood's. They are weak-bodied and just not worth the price. AVOID THE RIESLING PET-NAT 2021 AS IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDED ON IT. It's genuinely terrible. For the record, a five-flight tasting is $15.00. As costs go, it's not a bad deal. We bought 4 bottles of the Melody 2023 and one of the Prosecco. It was a nice visit and we'd probably do it again.

Buttonwood Grove Winery is the experience all others will be compared to. We went with two couples and two six year old girls and it was absolutely perfect for all of us. The girls were welcomed with buckets full of kid friendly activities. There was plenty of space out in the yard for them to roam around and play while the adults sipped wine. Our wine guide Stephanie was incredibly warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Her enthusiasm was infectious and helped ensure the experience was next level. Thank you so much. Can't wait to come back!

We made a reservation for wine tasting. We were running late, called to inform them of our delay and they were just delighted we notified them in advance. VERY nice place! We did our sampling outside to enjoy the views. I left with two bottles. Stephanie has a great personality and we enjoyed her attention. They even had gluten-free crackers!!

Highly recommend! Beautiful view, great wine, and a lovely outdoor seating area. I've visited a number of wineries in the area, and this one's definitely my favorite so far! Complimentary bread & cheese with our flights and they also had a food truck.

We stopped at Buttonwood for winetasting and a glass of wine. We had a lovely time with wine, tasting and cheese Included in the tasting. Our server came to our table and described our wine choices and did a fabulous job. Such excellent customer service! I think her name was Judy ?. Anyway, it was a lovely experience. So much so that my sister joined the wine club on the spot. Highly recommend Buttonwood as a nice place to go with very good wines. Pretty view from the deck and very nice staff.

Buttonwood Grove had our favorite wines of the 4 wineries we visited on our trip to Cayuga Lake. I really appreciated that they have a huge selections of wines to choose from and the menu had useful descriptions of each wine which made selecting wines for a tasting easy! We especially liked the Blackberry Briar (so unique!) and Rieslings. We bought the most bottles to take home from Buttonwood, so that clearly speaks to the quality of wines they produce. Service was friendly, and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating weather permitting. Definitely worth a stop while on the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail!

Came here 2 years ago and loved it..this time not so much. The service wasn't good. -We had a guy who looked like he was in college who was moving slow between our tasting selections. In between our 4th and 5th tasting, I noticed he hasn't checked in on us in a long time. So i asked one of the other servers and she said he went on his break! Without even finishing our service! So she kindly helped but we spent too much time just sitting there waiting on him. -They used to have this delicious manga salsa that I wanted to re-purchase but they didn't have any at all this time..when I went to inquire about it, the lady just told me they stopped carrying them. Didn't sound even slightly sympathetic or apologize, and just continued on with her conversation. I took that as kind of rude. I have to say that the wines are decent and the views are spectacular. Reisling and Blackberry Briar are always my favorite. They give you bread and cheese to munch on which is nice. And you can choose between indoor or outdoor seating facing the vineyard with a beuaitful lakeview behind it. Recommend? only for the views Return? Unfortunately not.

The location is beautiful, even in the cold season, and the inside was very comfortable. Stephanie made our visit so special. As a fellow long islander, we really connected. She made our visit so personal and we felt like family. The wine tasting was only $15 per person, with option to upgrade if wanted, and it comes with bread and delicious cheese. I bought a block home and some Blackberry wine! Can't wait to come up and visit again soon!

We stayed at one of their cabins recently and loved the experience and the location. Staff is super friendly and sweet. I asked them to arrange some flowers and a wine bottle in the cabin for my wife's birthday with a note and I liked what they did. They also let us check in early. The vineyard and the cabin location as such is beautiful. They say all the cabins have lake view, however, that's not exactly true. You can't really see it from the cabins. It's blocked by a few trees. But a few steps down the cabin, you can view the beautiful vineyard and the lake and walk around. There are also a few restaurants deliver to the cabin, which is nice and convenient. The cabin renters get complimentary wine tasting which was nice! And yes, I love their Riesling! It was the best. Cons: The cleanliness is quite bad. The cabin is filled with cobwebs and spiders, which are very obviously visible. I wish they had cleaned it up. Also, though they provided us with two bottles of water, I wish there was a vending machine in the property where we could get some water once they close down the place.

We made reservations for their wine tasting for 6 ppl ($12 pp). It includes 1 pre-selected wine and 4 of your choice. The wine tasting session includes the sampling of local cheese and bread. My top wines were their Rieslings but others were as delicious. Definitely worth a stop! Another pluses: (1) you are interested in getting something more substantial than a cheese and bread there is a food truck in the property. (2) They allow for pets in the patio.

First off, the winery is in a beautiful setting. Located in a rural area overlooking the lake and a vineyard. In addition to the main building there is a large covered patio. There are Adirondack chairs with a fire pit on the front lawn. We didn't have a wine tasting reservation- but were warmly greeted and purchased wine tastings. Our hostess was very amiable and the tasting included French bread, a little cheese and some wonderful 'hot' honey. The wines were very good. It's a nice place to unwind and enjoy the wines and beautiful grounds.

Stopped into Buttonwood Grove Winery on Saturday afternoon. A lovely winery with great staff and an excellent selection of wine, but it was the little things, like their snack option, that truly makes them stand out. Quality: Buttonwood Grove Winery was one of my favorite stops on a recent visit to Finger Lakes because they really went above in beyond. We did two Tastings and tried the 2018 Chardonnay, 2019 Fume Blanc, 2019 Gewurztraminer, 2018 Riesling, 2019 Big Hollow Block Riesling, Pinot Noir Dry Rose, 2018 Cabernet Franc, 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon, 2018 11 Barrel Red, 2018 Big Red Blend, and Redbud. We came away with two excellent wines in the 2018 Riesling and 2018 11 Barrel Red, and not a single poor one. I also loved that they took the mandatory food rules and did not just put out pretzels or crackers. They brought in some delicious local bread, local cheddar cheese, and some Cheeky Monkey sauce creating an excellent snack. They clearly spent time doing it and what they did was convert us to the sauce, which we also brought home. Quantity: Very generous tasting pours, and appreciated a good size snack. Value: $12 for a Tasting of 4 Wines with Bread & Cheese. $13-$30 for Standard Wine Bottles depending on the selection. Ambiance: Buttonwood Grove Winery is located in the Upstate New York Finger Lakes region, in the town of Romulus. We visited after a recent snow storm, so the property was blanketed, but you could see some of the vines popping up. I would love to see it green, as the massive lawn looked great as did the outdoor seating area, complete with fire pit. We spent our visit inside the large tasting room, which has plenty of spaced out seating mixed with the store. It is dog friendly, but be aware there is a winery cat that makes the rounds. Christmas music played in the background and it fit perfectly with the seasonal decor. Crowd: A decent sized crowd with several larger parties celebrating. Love that they are dog-friendly both inside and out. Service: Excellent and authentic service. Very happy to accommodate our dog, even though it was clean they still made sure to wipe down the table again in front of us, and they provided wonderful descriptions of each wine. Parking: Good sized unpaved parking lot on the property.

We went to five wineries on our trip to the finger lakes. This was the first, and easily the best. The lodge is set on a beautiful hill with a gorges view of Cayuga lake. They have a massive deck, patio, porch and lawn to relax in, all with nice furniture. The service was excellent. Very pleasant and very dog friendly. The wine. Fantastic and what a deal! We did the red wine tasting and all were very dry and crisp. They also served plently Pastabilities fresh bread and fresh cheddar cheese, which paired perfectly with the wines. Not to mention, these were half glasses of wine, not just a spritz like at other vinyards. Also they threw in an extra sour type wine free with the tasting. So 6 half glasses of wine for $10, can't beat that! The inside wooden lodge shop was also beautiful. Can't wait to go back.

We've been to Buttonwood several times and enjoy their wines. Tasting experiences are pleasant and their wines are reasonably priced. They also rent cabins (something we've said we need to do. Last weekend we went to their "Cool Your Cabin Fever" event and had a great time. We snowshoed around the vineyards, sat by the fire, and enjoyed some great wine, soup and treats. The experience also included a tour which was very informative. The only negative was the price. They charged $30 per person and we were only provided with a glass and a half of wine, small cup of soup and a few small samples of sweets. Every thing was quite good but in hindsight the price just seemed a bit high.

Last winery we went to and by far our favorite. Great view, every wine we tasted we enjoyed. Good service and a great ambience.

This was the winery after Torro Run Winery. Who happens to own Buttonwood Grove Winery. When we arrived here, we found out that they have their own cottages that you can stay at. Nothing better than staying at a winery, where the drinks keep coming. We arrived and picked what we wanted to sample, they escorted us to our seats and we chose something small to eat. They placed people sampling in a certain area. It was nice, we sampled the wine, the chardonnay was really good. We decided to have a glass or two or three, so we went to the bottom of the yard and enjoyed drinks. Ended up purchasing bottles to take home. This was in August, as I write this, I want to open a bottle now. :) I recommend coming here. The service and friendliness is nice.

We visited on a quiet Thursday before lunch. Wine was tasty but not exceptional. I enjoyed the Rose the most. The tasting came with cheese and bread which were both tasty. My wife liked the cheese in particular. Our server was not exceptional, and didn't seem to know much about the wines.

We took a ride down the Cayuga Wine Trail and so happy we found Buttonwood - it was our favorite! Lots of options for wine and dog friendly! We did a tasting (5 wines for 5 dollars, and you pick the wines you want to try which was great... or 3 reserve wines) and made the hard decision on which to take a glass off and sit on the patio. The ladies doing the tastings yesterday were FANTASTIC (I feel so bad for not getting their names) - right amount of conversation and really wanted to make sure we were finding the perfect wines for us. Live music was playing at just the right volume and perfect ambiance for a nice summer day. View was great too! We made our own cheese and meat board with the options in their fridge - they also had fresh loaves of bread from Skaneateles. When we bought our food and glasses they also let us use a cheese board/cutting board and gave us a knife. I promptly bought four bottles to take with me and am considering the wine club so I don't need to go without them when we go home. My favorites were the Rose and the Big Red Blend!

Three stars for the wine, four stars for the service, and The View was five stars. Of all the wineries in the Finger Lakes, they had the best complimentary side which was fresh bread and cheese. I would recommend. And I wish I could give it 3.5 Stars.

Great location to enjoy wine, a snack and music. My wife and I visited in June near closing to hear the musician. We did the wine tasting. That was disappointing as the 4 pours were about an ounce each. Next time, I'll go for a bottle and a snack. The wine is OK, we thought each were very thin but representative of the varietal. The location is great.

Service is super friendly and knowledgeable, which tends to be the case at all wineries but I felt was especially true here. They were more than ready to give recommendations and lo and behold, their recommendations turned out to be my favorites. Their wines are pretty interesting; they branch outside the normal Riesling, Cabernet franc, etc you tend to see in the Finger Lakes. I remember trying this Chardonnay they recommended, which I'm normally not a fan of, but ended up quite liking (it had more flavor profile than I tend to see in Chardonnay, and a really nice, smooth aftertaste). Scenery is absolutely gorgeous as well.

Loved this winery! Very pretty grounds and they even have cabins if you want to stay here. The tasting room is quite large and the staff are all very friendly. This was my favorite winery during this trip. I even joined their wine club because I loved the wines I tasted.

Stop by this beautiful place to get a sip of wine on my way to Cornel. The place is decorated and maintained very well, facing Cayuga Lake right from the porch. They have a nice sitting area to enjoy the scene, with a glass of Cabernet Franc. The owner is very nice, and you feel a bit of home welcoming when step into the winery. I would return next time and bring my family to enjoy the lake breeze and great wine taste.

We stayed in one of Buttonwood's cabins for 3 nights this week and had the best time! The cabins were so cozy, perfect for a romantic vacation with nightly campfires. Tastings come complimentary with your stay, and while this was the first winery we visited on our trip it was by far our favorite! We loved everything we tasted and really appreciated the cheese plate. Our server Tony (who also checked us in for our cabin and was super helpful through that process) was SO kind and attentive and knowledgeable about the wines that Buttonwood has! I learned a lot about their process! The whole staff was able to anticipate our needs somehow before we even asked (ie. Bringing us extra firewood when we ran out before we had a chance to ask for more) and everyone was just so friendly! We seriously can't wait to come back!

As a wine club member I'm at the winery fairly regularly but am always surprised by the new wines or changes to the grounds and landscaping. I went with my husband this prior weekend and were thoroughly impressed by the level of service, knowledgeable staff and well paced tastings. Keep up the great work!

I came here for a wedding. Nice winery with beautiful views. Very nice tasting room. The only negative is that there is only one toilet. Since I was driving I had only one glass of wine. So I chose the dry Riesling and it was quite good.

One of our favorite wineries (and by far the prettiest!) that we visited on Cayuga! Tasting is $5 for 5 wines (pours are kind of skimpy), but it comes with a $2 wine coupon. I was disappointed they wouldn't let us taste the award winning Riesling 2016 since that's the main reason we came here, but we left with two bottles ($16 each). We were there last Saturday around noon, and the guy giving us the tasting was borderline rude...He didn't acknowledge us at all, and then didn't tell us anything about the wine as he was pouring it. If the wine hadn't been so delicious and the setting so beautiful, I would have been very disappointed. They have a lovely outdoor patio overlooking the grape vines, which you can walk around and explore. They had live music, and you can purchase local beer if you're with someone who doesn't like wine (my husband really appreciated the Ithaca Beer Co selection). Be sure to check out their cow, Melody. She is so precious!

Wonderful wine, friendly staff, and stayed in cabins for 2 nights, and it was WONDERFUL!!!!

Tasting here is $5 for 5 tastes, but we couldn't decide, so they let us taste everything (8 wines) for the same price, which is always highly appreciated. It'd probably be a *very* different place on the weekend, but on a Thursday, it was gloriously quiet and laid-back, and quite a pretty place to stop. All the wine we tried was good, and I wrote down two in particular that I was impressed by at the time: their cab franc (super smoky), and a deliciously balanced semi-sweet Catawba blush, which, for 10 bucks, we had to buy a bottle of ($11, with a dollar off with a tasting). I was sad I didn't get to try a glass of their blackberry wine slushy, though - they normally have it, but apparently took the machine out because they had a crazy busy weekend coming up. They also have a very odd-looking cow greeting people from a fenced-in area as you're parking, that I just had to mention cause it was so interesting.

Buttonwood Grove was the second stop we made this day and the view of the lake from the patio is worth a couple of stars alone! The tastings were pretty teensy pours, which, after our first stop (where pours were more generous and the tastings were the same price), was a little disappointing. I did appreciate that we got a dollar (or two dollars, I forget) off of a wine bottle for having purchased a tasting. The wine here was fine, although nothing really stood out to us. The raspberry hard cider, however, was super yum - tart, and not too sweet! Without that beautiful view, this would be more of a three star review, but that patio would definitely bring me back if I were in the area!

I came here on a wine tour and thoroughly enjoyed my experience here! Wine tastings were $7 and included a wine glass that you could keep! This place sets itself apart from the other wineries by having an awesome highland Scottish Cow named Melody. She is adorable. She lives outside and you can feed her apple snacks that you can buy inside the shop. The fence around where she is an electrical fence so do not feed her so close to the fence because the poor girl is afraid of it. So try to reach your arm in further to allow her to have space. There is a patio out back that has a nice view of the lake and field. They are expanding as well. Their wines were fairy priced at around $11-15 each bottle. For the tasting, you got to choose 5 wines from a list of 10 (half were sweet, half dry). The blackberry briar is the sweet wine they make their slushy with. I tried the wine slushy and thought it was the most flavorful wine slushy I have ever tried. It was quite sweet and jam packed with flavor. I feel like they could put that wine on a snow cone and it'd still be sufficiently flavored. Inside the wine tasting area, they sell things like wine holders and souvenirs. They are dog-friendly. The sweet Sycamore blush was a favorite amongst my friends. I would definitely love to come back here with my family and fiance. The surrounding area was really pretty. I loved the tall pine (?) trees out front by the parking lot where Melody was. I vote that Melody should get another cow friend to keep her company.

I just want to say that this is my first time ever visiting a winery and it has truly set the bar for my future experiences. First of all, the wines were tasteful: I tried several rieslings, the Rosé, and the Cabernet Franc, all of them were unique and delicious. I ended up purchasing the original Riesling, the Melody, and the Rosé! What really made my experience so worthwhile was the service I received: we were promptly seated on the porch with a beautiful view... until it started thunderstorming. The staff offered to help us move indoors even before it started to really pour. Our server, June, was so sweet on top of being knowledgeable about the wines. I truly enjoyed having the pleasure of being serviced by her! If I visit the region again, this winery will be on my itinerary.

My wife and I loved buttonwood so much we decided to give it a second try. We first visited in the summer and sat out on their beautiful patio and really enjoyed the setting. Our second visit was in January so we sat Inside and it was quite nice (besides for the guy watching football on his tablet way too loud lol). Both times the service was excellent and the wine, even better. Cheers!

Buttonwood is one of the nicer wineries on the Cayuga wine trail. They have a large store and a beautiful patio overlooking the vineyards. We went their for tasting towards the end of our day and even though they were less than half an hour from closing, we got great service. The waitress who conducted our tasting was super nice and also went out of her way to pick up a bottle of wine for us from the store so that we didn't miss out while we were enjoying a glass of wine on the patio. I would highly recommend including this winery on your Cayuga wine trail itinerary.

Beautiful property to sip a glass of wine and enjoy the view of Cayuga Lake on a sunny day. So many wines to choose from that there is something to please every palate. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I'm looking forward to returning this summer for a relaxing stay in the cabins on site.

We stopped here on the recommendation of another place we stopped. The wines were good if not outstanding and they also offer hard cider as well as a wine slushy. The service was very good and the ground were beautiful. The server mentioned to us that the winery had been owned by a retired landscaper and that made a lot of sense. The only knock I have with the scenery is that I could have done without the fake swan in the small pond out front. They also carried a number of local cheeses and other things which was nice. One thing that seemed to be common among several of the wineries was that they weren't quite ready when we arrived shortly after opening. In fact the wine slushys were really slushy yet. Still it was definitely a good stop. They also have cabins for rent which sounded like an interesting option for accommodation.

My husband, son, little pooch, and I visiting your fantastic Winery yesterday. We had the wine tasting experience. Brianne was our wine expert who poured our wines and gave us details on each varietal we tasted. We can't praise Brianne enough. She was wonderful! She knew her wines, was so friendly & kind, and went over and above. And the wine exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend you stop at this lovely winery when visiting this area. And make sure to ask for Brianne to serve you. She is outstanding!!!

SO RUDE!!!! Although I wish I could give 0 stars for the server Jenna, the one star solely goes to the server who I did not catch her name but she had beautiful piercings and a tattoo that said "girl power" totally loved her. She sat us down at a nice spot on the deck and we told her exactly what we wanted which was a few tastings and a few slushees and she said we were totally fine sitting there. Right as we sat down, Jenna quickly came to us and said with an attitude that we were not welcome to sit there and made us feel like trash. I've never been approached with such disrespect from a server. I got up and took my family elsewhere. This place should be called butthole not buttenwood. Jenna needs to get fired or an get attitude adjustment.

Last spring I stayed in the Merlot cabin with friends. The staff is super friendly, and very accommodating. The cabin was furnished with what we needed including toiletries and an outdoor grill. It was enjoyable to wake up each morning and go for a short walk to say "hi" to our neighbor Melody the cow! Their wine is decent. You have to try their wine slushy! Amazing on a warm day! They have a large deck off of their tasting room, which is perfect for sitting in the sun. I almost forgot to mention the gardens! Their grounds are absolutely stunning! Flowers line the walkway to the tasting room, and you pass a beautiful pond in the driveway! It's a must see on the Cayuga wine trail!!

We were at the winery to attend a family wedding. What a beautiful location! I enjoyed their rose wine and noticed that's what the bride was drinking as well! The ceremony could not have had a more lovely background. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I would enjoy doing a wine tasting there someday.

Located on a hill overlooking Cayuga lake the views itself were beautiful, even in the beginning of spring. The tasting itself was great. Everyone was knowledgeable. We had options of white, red, rose and cider. There were a variety of flavors. I enjoyed the raspberry flavored cider. There was a nice porch and seating which if it was nicer, I would've loved to sit outside. They also had a large gift shop with wine glasses and finger lakes insignia. Loved stopping by on my wine tour!

This was one of our favorite stops on the wine trail. Friendly staff, good wine, beautiful setting. What more could you ask for? Just go now and thank me later.

Their wine was delicious! You can really taste the different flavors and accents within their wine. Everyone in our group found something they enjoyed, with a mix of those who liked sweet, semi-sweet and dry. The decorations in their shop were gorgeous and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I had to laugh at the savvy ways they have found to make a profit, charging guests $1 to buy cow treats for their cow. I don't particularly want to pay someone to feed their cow, but maybe that's more appealing to someone who doesn't have 30 highlands at home.

Posting a while after our last visit. On our last few visits I was so disappointed to find out that they had stopped selling their cider. We always enjoyed getting a few bottles of cider whenever we visited. When we finally made it back, there was no cider to be found and not a single person at the winery seemed to know anything about it! What happened to our favorite cider??

Buttonwood winery was the 2nd of 3 wineries we visited today. The staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. Of the 3 locations we visited, the wine was by far our favorite and we purchased two bottles of wine and a 4 pack of cider. The location is charming too. We would definitely visit again.
