We stayed here for 3 nights. When we arrived, Regina showed us around and gave so much helpful information. She’s kept so many maps and pamphlets in the house with lot of information on Adelaide. |We had booked the Butlers(2 bedrooms) We were a family of 4 and it was spacious. The beds were ok. ||The kitchen is well equipped. There’s a cellar down in the kitchen and that was so exciting for the kids! The only major issue was there’s only 1 bathroom (huge with a bath) which is not near any of the rooms but at the at the entrance. It felt weird and scary at first but then we warmed up to the place. The rooms were well maintained but the outside patio, tables chairs railing has cobwebs and was quite dirty. There’s a separate laundry room outside. You need to get your own detergent though.| The house is filled with so many antiques, it was really interesting just exploring the house. There were a lot of books in the house as well. The floors are quite creaky and make a lot of sound when anyone’s walking.|While this was great for a one time start we would look at another place next time.

A lovely heritage home with eclectic antique displays. Beautiful gardens to enjoy. A look into yesteryear, with all the amenities one needs. Easy to travel around and find again! Lots of car parking. Comfy furniture, some a little worn , but in keeping with the era. I am coveting the teal wash jug and basin, and the willow ware salt and pepper shakers! The foyer is amazing. Tip, the showerhead needs replacing or cleaning out, and I would replace the loo with a higher white ceramic one and the cistern too. Taps could be more “federation” style, but then, I am a renovator and probably take more notice than most……

Buxton Manor has a range of accommodation options, we chose "Paprika". A charming small building built in 1908, featuring two dbl bedrooms, a lounge, dining area, full kitchen, bathroom with 2 person spa bath and free off street car parking close by. Paprika is set within lovely gardens, with outdoor seating and tables. The property oozes with history, speaking of the grandeur of days gone by. North Adelaide is a quiet, leafy and safe area from where to enjoy a stay in South Australia's capital. Booking in, accessing the property, finding nearby restaurants/eateries, all was easy. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful experience at the George Lowe Esquire, Buxton Manor. This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway in Adelaide! Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. The rooms were wonderful, clean, and perfect for couples/friends. William was very helpful and guided us throughout our stay! Overall experience was awesome. I recommend this accommodation to every couple and families :) You won’t regret!

From the moment we entered Buxton Manor we felt instantly welcomed. Our stay in the Musica Viva suite was luxuriously comfortable, relaxing with each room having an inviting feel to it. The grounds were beautiful landscaped and well kept. I can’t recommend enough a unique heritage stay with North Adelaide Heritage Group. Thank you and we can’t wait to enjoy another stay.

Firstly, great location. Easy walk to CBD and Adelaide oval. Quiet area with lots of gorgeous heritage houses, yet only a short walk (5mins) to O'Connell street where there are heaps of restaurants, pubs, cafes etc. Great cafe along the road for breakfast - Flying Fig.|Secondly, the space. For the price of a hotel room in the CBD, you get an enormous apartment with soaring ceilings. This is a huge mansion that has been divided into 4 apartments, with separate entrances. We had the front apartment and the foyer was the size of a typical hotel room! Large master bedroom and living area with garden aspect. The annex bedroom would be good for a friend or small kids, it is accessed via the main bedroom. Bathroom and kitchen are smaller but adequate.|Thirdly, the character. The owner of the house used to be an antique dealer so the entire place is furnished with antiques. Floorboards throughout.|The only reason I give 4 rather than 5 stars would be the bathroom....it is absolutely fine, but not 5 star worthy.|Definitely would stay again and recommend.|PS Despite a self check-in, the owner rang to check everything was fine the next morning and then called on our day of departure to wish us farewell. Nice personal touch.

We stayed at the Garden and Loft apartment of Buxton Manor. It was very comfortable indeed and very beautiful. Everything was laid out thoughtfully, including a brief history and background to the restoration and some of the furniture in the house. Directions for getting into town were clear and there were some great restaurant recommendations. We had a very restful and enjoyable weekend break from Sydney’s devastating rain, as Adelaide kindly put on four beautiful, crisp sunny days for us! Many thanks!

The classic setting, the elegant heritage vibe, the antique decorations, the beautiful stained glass windows... these are amongst the many qualities of this charming little cottage. Situated at the grounds of the Buxton Manor, the Paprika Cottage was one of the most unique accommodations we've ever had the pleasure to experience. Fully equipped with day-to-day necessities and close to numerous restaurants, cafes, and the CBD- this accommodation is central enough for anyone looking for extra activities to do during their stay. Definitely recommended and hope to stay again next time!
