"Climb the grand baroquestaircase and pass the Jesuit church, cross Gundulić Square, and follow the COLD DRINKS WITH THE MOST BEAUTIFUL VIEW signs. Then, yes, walk through the walls. Buža translates to “a hole-in-the-wall,” and a hole-in-the-wall it is, one that leads to a cliffside ledge with a bar on it. From the moment you order a cool beverage off a simple menu, you begin to unwind. The backdrop to your drink is stunning: a sky-high stone parapeton one side and nothing but the blue sea between you and the horizon. This is the ideal spot for swooning over Adriatic sunsets."

Probably the coolest bar we’ve ever been to! The views are absolutely breathtaking, set right on the cliffs overlooking the Adriatic. Not only is it a perfect spot to relax with great drinks, but it’s also an adventure—there are multiple cliff jumping spots and even areas where you can swim directly from the bar. The atmosphere is unmatched, the staff delivers phenomenal customer service, and the overall vibe makes it a must-visit in Dubrovnik. If you’re looking for a mix of relaxation, thrill, and stunning scenery, Buža Bar is the place to be

Genuinely the most beautiful bar I’ve ever been to. Its’ views of the Adriatic coastline are no short of stunning, and it’s easily accessible from the very streets of inner Dubrovnik. It is absolutely jumping but if you go on the off hour ( 3 or 4 ) you’ll get a seat and you’re welcome to spend as much time as you like. Waitstaff are friendly and intelligent, all of which able to seamlessly speak English, Croatian, and Italian. Absolutely phenomenal place.

. An incredible hidden gem just outside the city walls, perched over a cliff above the Adriatic Sea. Breathtaking doesn’t even begin to describe it. It’s quaint and peaceful—an ideal spot for a quiet break. The beer was ice cold, the views were stunning, the prices were fair, and the service was top-notch. What truly made it unforgettable? Sharing it with my incredible wife. She made the experience even better than it already was. Pro tip: Duck through the tiny archway and narrow doorway. We wouldn’t have found this spot if we hadn’t noticed people waiting for others to squeeze through the corridor down the goat steps. Find it. It’s worth it—100%.

A favorite spot to have a beer and relax! Bit of a “hike” to get here, but worth every step! Very cool being on a craggy outcrop just outside the city walls. Unique place so check it out. If you haven’t read this yet in other reviews…it’s cash only here

We stopped into Buza Bar for a quick drink and loved it! You truly cannot beat the view here. A few helpful tips - it can get pretty busy so be prepared to wait for a table if you’re there during peak hours. Also, it’s cash only so be sure to have cash on hand! Also - you’re able to jump off the cliffs at the bar too so bring your bathing suit & towel! We loved it so much we came back here twice during our 3 day stay.

Great spot to take a breather after some walking and sun. You can just sit back relax and enjoy the breeze and ocean view. Bring your own swimsuits and towel if you plan to jump into the water from the cliff or cement steps. The bar only serve drinks and no food.

The location is super nice. Gorgeous view and perfect spot to grab a drink and hang out. Just a heads-up, there’s no toilet on-site and nothing nearby, so plan ahead!

Fun fact: It’s pronounced “Bouja” Bar, which means “hole” in the wall – and that’s exactly what it feels like. Tucked right into the cliffs of Dubrovnik’s Old Town walls, this bar is all about the location. Don’t expect a classic cocktail experience – drinks are mostly served in cans (like iced coffee, spritz, or gin & tonic – where they literally give you the gin and the tonic separately, no lemon or garnish). It’s cash only, so make sure to bring some cash with you. Despite not being a traditional bar in terms of service, Buza is an unforgettable spot thanks to its stunning sea views and direct access to the water. People go here to relax, swim, watch the sunset, and soak in the unique cliffside atmosphere. The staff is friendly, and you can reserve in advance – which I highly recommend. That said, if you show up without a reservation, just wait a few minutes – a table will likely free up. In short: come for the view, not the mixology – and you won’t be disappointed.
