The resort is in a gorgeous setting along the ocean. My husband and I were there for two nights as part of a bird watching trip. Even though it is not a bird watching lodge, it was great for our purposes. We were able to see ocean birds and land birds at the adjoining nature preserve both during the day and evening. They had many yoga, Tai Chi, and meditation classes in Portuguese but we did not partake. As vegetarians, we were pleasantly surprised to find the entire menu was vegetarian. Our Portuguese is weak so the waitress and we spent a bit of time trying to translate the menu into English. Things like "chick peas" are not the first thing you learn in a new language but it all worked out well and we enjoyed our meals there.

Well, first it's important to say that there are two parts of this Resort - the resort itself and a hostel inside called Maha Ashram. I've stayed on the second, in a bedroom shared with 12 people. Very organized, a very nice environment. When you stay in the hostel, you will also be able to use the facilities of the resort such as pool, pool bar, Caravelas Beach, etc. Due to the distance from downtown, it can be hard to find transportation from there. The hostel is also, about 500 meters far from the resort - it's a big resort! - so, beware the walking! I've met amazing people there from different nationalities and I would definitely, go back there again!

The hotel a little out of the way and you will need transport. The rooms clean tidy and of a good size . The breakfast is as good as I have ever had , and the spectacular view of the small bay that that this hotel is built around is worth the stay . The general look of the hotel is tired and probably needs a coat of paint but this all,reflects in the price which I felt, as a European , was excellent value.

This place is amazing. If you are looking for a peace and silence place, this is a good option. After staying in so many dirty places this one is wow wow wow. Amazing!!! and beautiful.
